Silence lingered the quiet home. For a while. Billy Showalter was awake, presumably getting ready and fixing all the papers for the morning to come. It was pretty late, but he hadn't minded. Rover was asleep on the bed with the boy's partner, Y/n.  Well. At least Billy thought Y/N was asleep. There was a comforting silence. Besides the snoring of Rover. That didn't seem to be a surprise however. Billy was used to it. Small yawns would occasionally escape the dirty blonde, almost light brown male. Small sighs, yawns, whatever, escaped him. Of course he was tired. He did this every night. Every possible chance he got, he would be awake getting the papers ready for the morning to come. 

"Bills?" His partner's sleepy voice snapped the paperboy out of his little trance, looking over to his partner and where Rover laid. "Yeah honey?" He questioned softly, trying his best to not be loud at all. He knew how tired they were. He didn't want to wake them up, which is why he had been quiet the entire time. "What're you doing up so early..? It's like.. two in the morning.." His partner mumbled tiredly, slightly sitting up and looking over to their boyfriend. Who was still dressed in pajamas, but was working on putting the bands on all the papers that laid on his table. He focused on what he'd been doing, slowly pausing once he felt a pair of arms snake around his stomach. Slowly, he had completely stopped banding the papers, hearing soft little mumbles escaping his clearly tired partner.

He placed his hands on his partners, holding them without having to turn around. "Come on, Bills.. Come to bed.." They whispered into his back. Billy was now debating.. He had a couple more papers, but he could most likely do them in the morning.. and he sure as hell wanted to  savior the moment with his partner.. Cuddling and being warm in the bed.. His shoulders slumped before he let a yawn escape his slightly chapped lips. "Alright honey.. I'll sleep.. I'll do the rest of the papers in the morning, okay? Just remind me before I go.." He spoke in a tired whisper, carefully turning around and placing a soft and short kiss on Y/N's lips. He could feel his face heating up after doing so. 

Anytime he kissed them.. Whether it was public or in private, his face would always be a light red right after. He let out a soft hum, his eyes closed at first. Slowly, he pulled away from the kiss, taking Y/N's hand into his own. "Come on, honey.." He whispered, kissing the side of his partners head before gently pulling them towards the bed.  Once they had gotten to the bed, Billy had  climbed into bed, almost instantly wrapping his arms around his partner and pulling them close to his chest.  "I love you, my love.." He mumbled softly, resting his head on Y/N's shoulder, closing his eyes only moments after.

After a couple minutes of silence, the only thing that could be heard was the soft snores of Billy. Alongside with Rover's loud snores.

HC Robin and Billy would be actually closest friends because they're both really into history and dinosaurs. Billy invites Robin over to his house so they both can build these dinosaurs or dig them out from hardened clay, + they both love legos

I’m not even gonna lie Billy is hyperfixated on a LOTTT of things and dinosaurs + history is one of them Billy is a huge fan of history no doubt, Robin thinks dinosaurs are just fucking awesome Robin’s favorite animal is a dinosaur it’s so real.

Billy probably has built legos with everyone except Vance at this point and he’s still trying to get him to build legos with him.

I feel like Billy would also get underwhelmed easily so legos and clay are good for him to play with. :)

I could actually go on and on about Billy and Robin being close friends, they’re super silly and I bet they play rock paper scissors all the dang time.

Both Robin and Billy have a shelf dedicated to legos in their room because they’re super silly! (Griff probably does too but this post is about Billy and Robin :3)

I feel like in the basement together they would just talk about dinosaurs as well, and Billy would recite what he still remembered about history. Billy just wanted to go back to school to learn again, silly guy </3

Help me find a lost Fic..?

hey guys I need help, I’ve been trying to find a The Black Phone Fanfic.

what I remember about it is:

it was a Robin Arellano/Finney Blake fic, All the Ghost boys were alive. Finney starts living with bruce at some point, the story was like a Jennifers Body AU. and I think the creator had even went as fas as making a Spotify playlist. 

last time I read it they had just made a connection something along the lines of bruce saying ‘Finney is Robins conduit and he needs to bring him blood’ I also thought it was called [BOYS]

I also believe it was on Ao3 but I can't find it there and I can't find the playlist.

Also little did you know you have opened Pandora’s box. Billy is my favourite, my comfort character. I handmade a cosplay of him and I can talk about him for hours.

Okay. So the thing that made me interested in Billy/Paperboy in the first place is the fact that he is the only one of the ghosts that does not join in with the final call. My main theory for why this is is simple: he didn’t want to give The Grabber the satisfaction. What most people fail to grasp is that Billy is a deeply angry ghost, he just shows it in a different way to the more explicitly ragefull ghosts like Vance and Robin.

During his call with Finney you can see Billy move around with tense shoulders, his hands at his sides. His voice is a sharp hush, distinctly different from Bruce and Griffin, who sound almost detached from the situation throughout the majority of their call. Don’t get me wrong, Billy is also detached—he literally refuses to identify as anything other than a Paperboy, but still. Also during the line up of the ghosts when they stop Gwen in the rain, you can see Billy’s hands curled into fists at his sides—same as Vance.

Another hint at Billy’s anger is the fact that he shows the ability to move objects (the bottle) and interact with the real world (hanging up the phone by physically pushing the cradle with his finger). The movie implies that it is a ghost’s anger that allows them to move objects, as seen when Vance throws the bottles at Finney. Furthermore, Billy has a better hold of this power than Vance. While Vance is literally blown away, Billy plays idly with the bottle. I think that’s mainly due to the fact that Billy is, firstly, an older ghost and secondly has a different kind of anger. While Vance reacts with violence, Billy seethes. He stews quietly in his rage.

On a completely different topic: I am also fascinated by the fact that Billy’s dog did nothing to stop The Grabber. They just sat there, tail wagging. Chances are that this is just the dog’s actor being a very good boi, but I think it’s interesting. I’m not going into this further because it’s actually something I’m gonna explore in ‘And You Keep on Living’ sooooo. Spoilers!
