Saving My Fanfiction Work

First. Side note: This post was only intended to give resources to fanfiction writers and enjoyers. My talk on recent political events was a context/reasoning on why I made this post. Also I’ve had to add more information to this post over time due to people’s confusion in my comments. Explaining it was to make sure that this post didn’t come off as out of the blue for my followers and this community. Which is fanfiction.

Also, why I made this post was from people asking if they could download my fanfiction because of the recent political events in America hence why I named it “saving my fanfiction work” and added my context. So this was also a post to tell people that liked my fanfiction they could download it as long as it was for their personal collection. I merely just wanted to list resources to people who wanted to download fanfiction and don’t know where to start or don’t have the immediate resources. I’m not here to fear-monger. I am just giving resources and the reasoning on why I’m giving them along with urging people to look into those information/recent events as staying aware is important. I respect everybody who’s given their opinion and yes, some of my grammar in this post is not adequate as this post was merely made for giving/stating resources.

Lastly, I will no longer update this post with comments as I’ve said my peace, nor will I pay attention to the notifications as they are muted. As my page is for fanfiction not politics. Due to the recent events in the United States. To clarify the recent events being Trump becoming president of the United States, Project 2025 more than likely going to be integrated. If you are not familiar with Project 2025 I urge you to look it up.

With all of its harmful plans some of the plans are to take down/restrict internet sites that have LGBTQ+ communities that means communities like the fan-fiction communities/sites in the United States.

I am only giving resources to those inside and out of the US in case they banned sites that hold fan-fiction. Better safe than sorry.

Being that I live in the US the possibly of mine and many others Fanfiction has the possibly of being in danger. Therefore I'm giving you recourses. (I'm not leaving or stopping my writing, I'm here for the fight!)

For those wanting to save my fanfiction, I give you permission to download them off of AO3 and to be used for your personal collection. Meaning, your eyes only. To clarify I’m saying this as others have asked if they could download my fanfic so for those who would like to you can.

If you do not know how to download them many others on online have tutorials on how to download them and add them to our phone libraries.

the way s2 whitewashes vander is kind of vile, actually.

young vander's hands were just as bloody as silco's. he did not bring his gauntlets to a peaceful protest. he came to fight. then, at least, he understood that things would never improve if they simply waited around for their oppressors to give them rights and protections out of the goodness of their hearts.

even years later, his reputation precedes him. he runs a protection racket. he keeps his gauntlets hung above his bar as a reminder and a threat; he gets more than one situation to go his way through the not-so-subtle implication of violence.

but, arcane tells us, vander is a Good Man now. he has stopped directing his violence towards his oppressors, and now merely uses the threat of it to keep his own people in line. to make sure that topside is not disturbed.

i've seen people on the Social Medias crow about how vander gets a statue and how half of s2 is devoted to eulogising him, while silco is mourned by exactly 2 people for 5 minutes and then forgotten, and therefore, vander good, silco bad.

and you know what?

silco made the decision to engage in a ruthless gambit, using the only currency available to him: the lives of his own people. he dragged zaun behind him on a cruel climb on an ugly path towards a better destination, and he did not give a single shit about winning hearts and minds or mitigating harm while he did it... and he almost got there. he had an independence treaty for zaun on the table. and nobody in zaun ever knows this. topside keep it to themselves when it turns out to be more convenient to simply gas zaun into submission instead. silco got them the closest they had ever gotten - and the closest they are ever likely to get for the forseeable future - to true independence, and he did it without softness or kindness, and without thanks or glory or acknowledgement, and nobody will ever know. he dies in ignominy. he gets no statue.

vander won hearts and minds. vander was your friendly local gang leader & barman. vander said, "hey, let's all help each other out." vander said, "hey, let's just try to get by. just focus on one another, and not the big picture." vander was ashamed of what he saw as his complicity in the massacre on the day of ash, and decided he did not want to be responsible for something like that again. vander was available and approachable and personable and charismatic, and he used it to convince everyone that it was in their best interests to simply lay down, and stop resisting. vander gets a statue.

Just to ask: Do you mind the use of Y/n in fanfic?

I just want to know what the majority is on this, which is fanfiction using Y/n.

My thoughts:

I don't know if I'll stop writing with Y/n because some characters I feel would use names in dialogue depending on the scenario. I always strive to getting down the character as close as possible, although I don't use it often, rarely even.

I can see why people don't like it; it gives very much Wattpad, and I understand the hate or dislike for the use of it.

Arcane Choose Your Own Adventure (Fire the Rocket)

Jinx can't believe what she just heard.

Silco has betrayed her. Silco, who was constantly "reassuring her" that although everyone else may betray them, the two of them would always have each other's backs.

The man who believed in her. Believed in her inventions. Her skills. Her strengths. The man who showered her in affirmation and affection, who put a gun in her hand and pointed her towards a purpose and an enemy in Topside. Has betrayed her to the very people they are fighting.

She questions if everything has been a lie. If he ever actually cared about her, or if he just sniffed out her one disgusting weakness and exploited it.

She thinks back to all his hard won lessons, lectures, and baptisms.

She trusted this man, admittedly not entirely going by her interrogation in his office, but she still took his word as gospel. She turned her back entirely on Powder. On Ekko. Sweet Ekko, who only wanted to help. Fighting him on that bridge was one of the hardest things she ever had to do, but she did. For Silco.

And. It. Meant. NOTHING.

Her whole body begins to shake, that accursed Shimmer burning in her veins. Her breath quickens, her eyes burn with tears, and all around her the world fills with childish scratches and Mylo's mocking. And then just as suddenly it all stops. No scratches. No Mylo. Just a disconcerting stillness and silence.

Jinx blinks. Lazily wondering where the anger went. But there is nothing but emptiness in the place where it once was.

She is aware of tears running down her cheeks. So her body must be angry or sad or something, or just going through the motions.

Whatever.

It doesn't matter.

Nothing matters.

She doesn't matter.

With this she picks up Fishbones.

A distant memory drags itself from deep within, of a man sitting a young Powder on his lap, the smell of gunpowder and soot surrounding her as Papa reads a book about sharks to her.

Jinx attempts to swallow the lump in her throat as the sudden memory accosts her.

She made Fishbones for her Papa. Her real Papa.

She wonders if he would have given her up.

No. He died fighting them. And she will, too.

With this, she leaves her lair, her workshop, the place she has called "home" for some time now.

She traverses the city.

Sees Vi stumble out of The Last Drop battered and bruise. And keeps going.

She sees a woman shielding her child from a couple thugs. Jinx puts a few bullets in the assailants and continues on her way.

She finally comes to her destination. The Cannery. Where everything began.

She climbs the bridge facing Piltover and stares at what she calls, the Tower of Oppression.

Where the Council meet regularly to casually discuss how they can make life even more hellish for those below.

She can imagine them sipping on tea, or wine, or nibbling on finger foods whilst the rest of them starve. Hawting and Haa-ing at this and that.

Jinx hefts Fishbones onto her shoulder and takes aim.

The empty feeling is still there but right now it's sharing space with determination.

They want a monster. She will give them a monster.

If they want her. They can come find her themselves.

She places her finger on the trigger. And squeezes it.

Blue light blinds her, and she can distinctly hear the sound of her own cry over the sound of Fishbones.

Afterwards she sees a blue streak across a blood red moon.

And then.

Boom.
