verdant hues clock her behind the bar with a gaze that borders on staring; it's a common enough response, one she's received from oliver on more than one occasion, one he's seen her coax out of every man with a heartbeat within a ten foot radius of her underneath the red club lights. tonight, however, it is not the curves and planes of her body or the glossed pout on @pantichrist that has caught ollie's attention. instead, it is the purpling and plum colored bracelet she wears around her wrist, the imprints of a much larger hand print starkly visible in a ring against her pale skin. he'd think less of it did it not match the split lip she'd brushed off the week before, and although he's been down the road of interfering in business not his own enough times to know better, he can't resist. curiosity killed the cat, and all that. "another vodka soda, please." he finishes of his current drink and slides the empty glass across the bar for a refill. " ... it's riley, isn't it?"

this prompts a slow, winning smile to tug at felix's lips. it doesn't quite reach his eyes. he thinks riley's presumed naiveté is sweet, even if that hasn't been his experience. do unto others. "now that's not necessarily true, now is it? what if you were like, a nice burberry coat that i intended on coming back for but really needed to step out of for a minute? i run hot and get overheated easily," felix offers, a studded brow raising along with a tentative soft brown gaze, assessing to see just how pissed his words were making her. felix had meant to call her after they hung out, but he'd gotten distracted. he's watched his mother meander through life without confronting anything that made her uncomfortable, while felix has been made to swallow that discomfort with every meal. felix gets tired of himself easily, wants to numb himself with some substance and mold himself into something else, so he's always surprised when people are upset that he's given them the slip. he doesn't think any woman he ever gets involved with starts with the the intention of being his mother, but they all end up playing that role anyway. "let's hear it, then. your lecture." he gestures towards her, lit cigarette between two slender fingers.

he knows he isn't meant to touch as she dances close to him, has done a valiant job of keeping his hands to himself as @pantichrist slinks and saunters on beat to the club music, but he's powerless to stop himself when that bubblegum painted pout is mere inches away from his so temptingly, oliver's body reacting of its own accord as he leans in and, with a softness not betrayed by his size or his presence, presses his mouth against hers with a needy, aching sound of approval.

They'll make your back crack, your liver quiver, and your knees freeze. And if you don't dig that you've got a hole in your soul, so let's give a big warm welcome for the Rev, your Beat- Man, everybody's Blues Trash Preacher, the fabulous Reverend Beat-Man and his Drinking Buddies, the Drunks.

This band was founded as a duo due to the Covid-19 restrictions in order to be able to play on a small scale in front of a few people and to earn some money, everything has to work acoustically and of course also amplified, the first gigs were for the food Delivery service Matchbox in Bern to play one or two songs on the doorsteps of customers.

This project survived the pandemic and was joined by Daniel Kohler on drums and Skinny Jim Tennessee on guitar. Skinny Jim was already hitting the streets of Bern as a 16-year-old and putting rockabilly classics through the meat grinder with his acoustic guitar, so now the three of them are on the road playing Reverend Beat-Man and a few Lightning Beat-Man songs and many new ones Songs Blues Trash, Folk Noir, Dirty Rock'n'Roll and Gospel Trash.

College theatre group disqualified for saying 'bra' and 'panty' on stage

In a bizarre turn of events, the Delhi Government's cultural wing has taken offence to a college theater group's performance and has "disqualified" them on charges of "obscenity" for using words like "bra" and "panty" in a play, reported the Hindustan Times.

Lakshya - The Theatre Society Of Kamala Nehru College had staged their annual production, Shahira Ke Naam, on Jan. 27 in New Delhi's Mandi House as a part of a theater competition organized by the state government. 

The event coordinator reportedly alleged, "They've [Lakshya] broken the rules about obscenity... Not just words like bra and panty, they've used several other cuss words, too."

This is moral policing not only at its worst but also its most ludicrous, where women's innerwear is being considered "obscene" and unacceptable. 

Lakshya lashed out at the organizers on their official Facebook page. They "criticized this hypocrisy" in no uncertain terms. "Derogatory and demeaning abuses are acceptable in art forms, but a reference of feminine clothing offends people," they wrote. 

Mashable India reached out to Lakshya for comment. The group said that they "don't wish to engage [sic] media anymore." Calls made to Kamala Nehru College went unanswered as well.

Shahira Ke Naam is a play revolving around the lives of six girls in a hostel and the pranks they play on each other. One of the scenes dwells upon how they mark their underwear in order to avoid confusion. And it is this scene that set tongues wagging at the event. 

The convener of the theater society wrote in a Facebook post, "So traumatized were the organizers by the words that they choked on them and could not bring themselves to spell out those "appalling" "disgusting" words while telling us the reason for disqualification. When the students asked them, they ran away from them."

Social media, too, was enraged at the cultural wing's double standards.
