This is pani walalu, and it's a Sri-lankan sweet. It may be based on jalebi, but no-one here calls it that.

my favourite foods are........sushi (avocado and salmon rolls but anything with either avocado or salmon is good. i like california rolls too), roasted seaweed, jalebi is pretty good when its made right (in sinhala its called pani walalu) & lays ketchup chips. my mom used to work at a place called taste of medditerranean (sp?) and the shawarma and gyros there were SOOO good i remember they put tzatziki + hot sauce on the wraps and it was delicious....also my other 2 favourite foods are 1. these wraps my mom/i make where its spicy hummus on a pita bread w/chicken, cucumber, tomato, sriracha sauce and shit load of mustard and 2. watercress bc my mom cooks it in a specific way w/vegetable oil, chili flakes, salt, and maybe a few other things. its simple but so delicious unfortunately we dont buy watercress anymore bc its so expensive these days :/ i also like this food called papadum if you’ve never tried it you really have to go to an indian restaurant and get it its so good. another good south asian food: naan with butter chicken this is like top tier food...eating it with ur hands especially like i cannot imagine eating that with a fork and knife...

i really love spicy food but that specific flavour of spicy where its really idk vibrant i guess. if you like spicy or generally flavourful foods i recommend all of these (ketchup chips are so gooooood)
