it wasn’t until alexander got older until he started to speak out against the hunger games.

his parents did everything they could to keep him in the presidential mansion, unless he had to go to school. they were always worried he would say something that they wouldn’t approve of to the media.

unfortunately for them, alexander knew every secret way out of the mansion and the grounds. and was able to get out into the world. usually it would take a few hours before he was caught.

his parents are still hoping that someday he takes their side on things, and becomes an adviser to his older brother. but alexander has no desire to ever be in politics. all he wants to do is play music for people since music is his passion.

alexander has a group of friends he knows that his family would never accept, but that doesn’t change the fact that he wants to be their friends and spend time with them.

when alexander was young he was taught about the underground passageways from his grandfather, something that alexander still uses today as a way to sneak around panem.

he decided this year to get a job as an escort for an outlining district, hoping to give them more hope and figure out a way to end the games. even if it ended the presidency of his brother. he also wants to appease his parents for a bit, so he can actually go outside during the hunger games season.

her family didn’t have the most money, they were able to get a house with two rooms, so each kid got their own room while their parents slept on the couch.

from the age of seven dana started to help out at the lincoln farm while also making clothes for her and her friends. she used the money she earned from working at the lincoln farm for material to make clothes or save it so that once she turned eighteen she could move out of home.

every year at the reaping dana would hold her breath and hope to not be chosen. but last year was hard, not only was her brother reaped, but so was the daughter of the couple that dana worked for. so she watched the games so intensely, hoping that maybe one of them would come out alive. but was overjoyed when both of them survived.

she didn’t know if she believed the starcrossed lovers story, she was just happy to see her brother alive and back home.

however, the backlash from the games was something that dana was not ready for. the next reaping happened after her brother had barely been home for a few weeks. and this time eight people would be reaped and she knew one of those people would be her.

she knew the capitol would want to keep the mentors in control and what better way to keep those with reaping age loved ones in check than reaping them.

now dana doesn’t know what to do because while she does have some skills, she has always been a pacifist and doesn’t want to ever fight people. but she is a bit excited to go to the capitol and learn about the fashion there.

HISTORY.

acacius is ... peculiar, that’s for certain. speak to every sorry soul who’s ever met him and they’ll give you some variation of the word. his parents were quite the same. they were sponsors, powerful ones. the two of them could buy their way to the moon and back without a dent in their bank account.

that being said, their bank accounts were the only positive thing about them. acacius wasn’t well attended to. they were always out, either doing business or swinging with other rich married couples their age. they didn’t even care enough to hire a caretaker. he took himself to school, he cooked his own food, and mended his own clothing. it took a lot of trial and error, but he had to grow up quicker than most of his fellow capitol citizens. 

the older he got, the closer his parents tried to get with him. they started taking him to events with food he couldn’t cook in clothes he couldn’t hand sew. his maturity impressed all sorts of big wigs involved with the games, from sponsors to gamemakers. he was making connections with the government at sixteen, during the 66th games. he was able to see great things because of the places his parents took him to and the people he talked to, but it didn’t come without some things he’d rather forget. maltreatment of staff, tributes, and mentors --- he wishes he would’ve stopped them.

by the time he turned eighteen he was offered an apprenticeship under one of panem’s most prominent stylists and damnit he fell for him like a rock. acacius’ every thought was centered around coming up with new ideas to impress and prove himself to him. everyone thought it was a little weird, it was obvious how obsessed he was with him but even then he continued working to impress, completely oblivious to the traction his work was getting in the meantime.

his apprenticeship ended when he was twenty. he’d be a fool to stop working for the capitol, there was nowhere else he could go but up. this also meant that he wasn’t working under his schoolyard crush anymore. acacius would be lying if he said he didn’t screw him after the 71st games.

their relationship didn’t progress much further than that. some people need ... distance and acacius understood that. they seldom spoke after that and it stung, but hearing he was executed for supporting the failed rebellion that took place after the 74th games hurt more than he could understand. he tried not to think about it again, but it planted a seed of doubt in him that he couldn’t shake. maybe he could do something to help. one day.

since then, he’s kept his romantic life out of work. mostly. he just tries to keep his heart out of the game; it’s far too dangerous. he’d rather rub elbows with the capitol’s fattest cats --- and flirt with the closeted ones. it’s more fun when there aren’t any strings attached.

acacius had nowhere to go but up. he’s been seen with some of the most prominent figures of panem and he knows exactly what he wants to get out of them. he has people to do all of the things he had to do himself, but it ... spoiled him, a little bit. he expects everyone to wait on him hand and foot. it’s the capitol and he’s been in the game since diapers, so this works out in his favor more often than not.

to the naked eye he might seem like every other capitol citizen, all inflated egos and flashy dress, but acacius is different. it’ll just take a little more heartache to figure that out.

he is nice in the capitol kind of way. i always see it as minnesota nice with californian levels of passive aggressive, for my ‘mericans out there who are familiar with the vibes. basically, acacius could read the shit out of you and still have the decency to clean up the library afterwards. if you get my drift.

i wanted him to have the aziraphale voice so i gave him the aziraphale voice.

he’s got a soft heart, though. he cares a lot about the tributes and tries to make their pieces individual to them. fashion is nothing if it isn’t unique. he’s styled for every district throughout his career and he’s met a lot of different people, it’s still hard for him to grasp that most of them are dead. speaking of, i really want him to be friends with a victor he styled. i can’t stop thinkin abt it.

in a lot of ways, he’s very similar to his parents. socialite with a hedonistic streak. homie FUCKS !!

heey guys i’m legit SO hyped for this bc i’ve just been in a weird thg mood lately and then this popped up in the tags so sdf sdfg here’s my muse jackie x

she is from district one (where they produce luxury items for the capitol), won the 97th hunger games at 18 years old and is now a mentor

just like probably every single winner, she suffers from trauma and ptsd due to her time in the arena

even though she grew up in one of the capitol’s favourite districts, she has always despised it and their idea of inventing the hunger games. she had never once watched it, but her mother insisted on making her train hard for it ever since she was old enough to walk. jackie is well equipped with close to every kind of weapon there is, however, she refused to touch a single one of them ever since she won the hunger games herself

when she was reaped, everybody was surprised because her name had just been added due to it being her 18th birthday on reaping day. while her family was devastated about the news, jackie told herself that she was going to win and bring home the title in order to honour her wealthy family and prove everyone wrong who thought that a small girl could never win against 23 other people.

all those years of training paid off in the end as she got out of the arena alive and semi-well; her arm was broken and many more bones were fractured but thanks to generous sponsors, she managed to deal with the pain. unlike others who tried to go as long as they could without killling anyone, she immediately started to track down other tributes and ended up killing nine of them.

it came down to her and her ally and close friend who was from her own district. they had been friends for over a decade but just when they realized that one of them had to die, something inside of her snapped and she attacked her life-long friend with an axe, killing him almost instantly since it was so unexpected and he was willing to make some sort of suicide pact like there had been before

jackie was in so much pain and so distressed, all she wanted was to get out of the arena even if it meant she had to kill someone very dear to her -- the public’s reaction was very divided. some thought of her as a “real warrior” while others thought of her as selfish and cruel.

after the entire country of panem called her “the axe-swinging fury” she turned to alcohol and withdrew herself from the public, barely even talking to her own family even though she still loved all of them unconditionally.

jackie never had the heart to mentor other tributes, knowing full well that she had nothing to teach them -- she did not want them to win and suffer like her, instead she wished for them to a die a death that was as peaceful as possible -- the tributes were mentored by other mentors for two years until this year’s hunger games. she decided to finally put her big girl pants on and get her shit together in order to hopefully save a kid’s life and teach them what she had learned in years and years of practice.

she is determined that her tributes will win this game, no matter the cost.

i decided to break up my characters by mentors, tributes, and others. under the cut will be more mentors’ intros. so victoria lincoln, peeta mellark, jasmine leroy, calliope hale, marcus blackburn, & romulus kinsley. also all my characters have some severity of ptsd.

victoria lincoln: (tw death)

victoria is the youngest child of the lincoln family. her parents owned a large farm in district 10, so they were one of the most well off families.

growing up the girl would help her parents with all the animals, her favorite thing was when she had free time to ride the horses. she loved the feeling of freedom she got from it.

in school victoria wasn’t the best student, mostly because she hated being locked up in a room all day. when all she wanted to do was to run free.

the lincolns were always against the hunger games, but kept their hatred silent to protect their family.

when she was reaped, victoria wanted to do nothing but run far away from panem. but she knew that she needed to be brave and strong from her family. 

most of her time in the capitol victoria stayed to herself, not interacting with her mentor, escort, or quentin unless she had to. and when it came to the rest of the tributes she wouldn’t even look at them.

victoria didn’t want to form connections with anyone since she knew she wouldn’t be able to kill them if she did.

her games: (tw death) victoria scored an eleven score for the games which placed a large target on her back. right away victoria went to the cornucopia and took a sword and backpack. on her way out she killed two tributes. she quickly ran away till she was somewhere safe. at night she only slept three hours, making sure to hide in dark locations so people wouldn’t find her. and before the final battle she killed three other tributes. sometime during the game she met up with quentin, and he was her only ally. and at the final battle she killed a career for her sixth kill. but when it came to quentin she couldn’t kill him, so they decided to use nightlock just like katniss and peeta did, which saved both of their life.

the games just happened three months, victoria is still haunted by the games. most nights she doesn’t sleep, and when she does it’s just nightmares. 

victoria is more closed off than ever, still makes jokes and is hot-headed. but she isn’t the same girl she was before the games. 

she wants nothing more than to stop the hunger games from ever happening again. 

peeta mellark (tw: death, abuse, & depression)

this is my absolute child and love of my life. 

so peeta’s past is all canon, he is the youngest of the mellark children and his parents own a bakery. 

his parents were pretty abusive to peeta growing up, especially when he made a mistake. it got to the point where it no longer affected him as much as it use to.

he had been in love with katniss from the first moment he heard her sing, but he was always too afraid to talk to her. 

when he saw katniss outside his parents’ shop starving, he purposely burnt the bread, so he could give her some for free. that led to a beating from his parents, but he didn’t care. 

when peeta was reaped, he was freaked out. not only because he had no chance of surviving, but also because he would have to be in the arena with the girl he had been in love with since he was a child.

peeta used his charming nature to get people to fall in love with him since the instant he was in the capitol. 

his games: (tw death) peeta quickly made allies with the careers, knowing that he could protect katniss during the games. he wanted her to be the one to win since he knew she could. he only directly killed one tribute during the games. but blames himself for foxface’s death after she found his berries. 

after the game peeta still kept up his happy personal to be a rock there for katniss. but peeta was torn up. seeing death truly broke him. and it didn’t help that the games took his leg. 

while no tribute from twelve has won the hunger games since him and katniss. peeta still does what he needs to get sponsers for his tributes. he uses his likable personality to get people to send help to the tributes.

him and katniss were forced to get married after the games, and while he always dreamed of it, he hated that it was forced. and while it has been ten years he still doesn’t know if she does have feelings for him or just fakes it. 

jasmine leroy: (tw death)

jasmine from a young age was a very bright girl. she was always the smartest kid around district three. her parents thought that she would someday work for the capitol with their electronics.

she never had to work hard in school to do very well. her grades we always perfect.

growing up her family was very mixed, her mother was married to a man before she was born. but her mother cheated on him with her father, and when he found out he left. then she got with her best friend who they a year later had her younger sister. so jasmine always felt like the outsider of her family.

she spent most of her time just by herself writing, she never got close to make people. 

when jasmine was thirteen and her sister was twelve, her twelve year old sister was reaped. while jasmine was only a year older she volunteered. knowing her family would better off if jasmine dead during the games than her sister.

most people were shocked, it was unusual someone her age would volunteer. but jasmine knew she had to protect her younger sister.

the girl quickly became the darling of the capitol with her charming and positive personality. 

when it came to training she was helpless, jasmine couldn’t use a weapon no matter how hard she tried. she only got a six when it came to scoring.

her games: (tw death) she was lucky, her eighteen year old district partner wanted her to be his ally. he was very skilled with an axe and protected jasmine throughout the whole games. jasmine didn’t have to kill a single soul, she just made the strategy plans for her and him. when it came to the battle between him and a career from district 1 her ally was killed. and much to jasmine’s surprise she picked up a knife she had gotten from a dead tribute, and threw it right into the careers heart killing him. 

after the games, she was the absolute love of the capitol. people saw her as a kind girl who did everything so selflessly, and was able to win the whole games. once she returned home her mom and step-dad were beyond happy she survived. and she no longer felt like the outsider in her family.

the games still haunt jasmine, but she tries to forget the games and keep a bright smile on her face.

most people haven’t really seen a change in jasmine since she never wanted them to change who she is.

calliope hale: (tw death)

calliope was the only daughter of a fisherman, her mother died in childbirth with her. 

most of her childhood she spent her free time with her father, the two had always been very close. 

in the academy calliope wasn’t the best fighter, but she also wasn’t the worst. 

she did have quite a few friends in the academy, and would make money by making clothes for her friends and other people.

when it came to the games calliope never thought she would be in them. her family didn’t need money and her father always told her to never to volunteer for the games. no matter how confident she felt.

but when it came to the reaping, her best friend was reaped. her friend with leg problems, so calliope ignored the advice of her father and volunteered. she couldn’t let her friend walk to her death.

her games: (tw death) calliope joined the career pack knowing that it was her best chance at surviving. she never trusted any of them, except her friends older brother, who was her district partner. he told her that he had promised his sister to protect calliope during the games. it’s what kept the rest of the careers from killing her off. during one night her and her district partner decided to kill off the rest of the career pack and they did. it led her partner to be extremely injured and later died do to them. calliope decided she would win the games for him. she used all the skills she had learned in the academy to win the games and go home. 

but once she went home it was hard for her father to look at her. she had broken his promise and he acted like he didn’t recognize her. it led to calliope having a hard time forming relationships with people after the games. 

the only person she could was her on-and-off girlfriend saylor. she was the only person calliope could trust after the games. and calliope only broke up with saylor when she thought the capitol might find out about their relationship and kill saylor. 

when it comes to calliope as a mentor she is very quiet and doesn’t really give advice. being too haunted by her own games to successfully help people.

marcus blackburn: (tw death)

most people in district 8 would never get on the bad side of marcus or hurt his family. 

marcus had quite a temper growing up and would fight people that hurt his siblings.

he always saw himself as his siblings protector since he was the oldest. 

when he was fifteen he was reaped, and while he was nervous; he knew he had to win.

many people didn’t think he was a threat until the saw him train. he was a very skilled fighter, even though he never had used a weapon. he was strong and tough.

many of the tributes wanted to be his ally, but he decided to go to the games alone.

his games: (tw death) marcus quickly ran away from the blood bath, knowing it was safer for himself that way. one night he snuck up on a girl and killed her with her own axe. after that he took her stuff and walked around, only sleeping a few hours. marcus got whatever he needed from the sponsors due to his good looks, which really helped him during the games. at the end of the games marcus has killed seven tributes and was the winner.

after he never opened up to anyone who wasn’t his family. he didn’t feel like he could form relationships with people.

that was until him and tessa started secretly dating. she got him to open himself up more to the world.

and while he is still cold and stern to people. there are certain people who see the kind and caring marcus he is.

romulus kinsley (tw death)

even though romulus was from district 1 he was anything but good at combat. in the academy he failed every class involving fighting. 

he was the only child of the of the mayor and a housewife. most of romulus childhood was him running away from bullies or reading books. 

he never took an interest in the hunger games, while his father tried to get him into them. romulus more just sat with his parents and read a book.

when he was fifteen romulus was reaped, and was shocked that no one volunteered since it seemed like almost every year someone did.

the skinny kid with glasses walked on stage and looked into the crowed, everyone knew he was dead.

when it came to trying, it didn’t really help romulus. he had been training in the academy for years, and he was useless at combat.

his games: (tw death) romulus didn’t get any allies since most people saw him as a liability than an asset. when he came into trouble romulus ran, something people didn’t expect was how fast and long he could ran. he would always get out of danger with how much faster he was than the rest of the tributes. when it came down to him and two other people he was able to separate them, and get one to accidentally kill the other. than romulus snuck up on the last person and stabbed them in the back killing them. 

after the games romulus let the capitol fix his eye sight, no longer wanting to wear glasses. 

the victor got a girlfriend, but their relationship wasn’t the best since they had to keep it a secret, which was very hard of them. so they broke up after only dating two years. 

after that romulus no longer dated anyone, and just let the capitol use him however they wanted.

he was broken from his games, games he never thought he would survive.

over the years romulus had gotten stronger and in better shape. being the youngest victor from district 8 by over a decade meant that he needed to help his tributes the most. though most of the time he would rather stay in his room and read or write.

his mother was never able to work. her eyesight was taken from her in her youth, which ruined any chance for a sustainable career in their district. his father suffered from a rather unfortunate work related injury when yves turned thirteen. he had to care for his parents just as much as they took care him, and the only way he could do that was by taking out tesserae. he had twenty-one entries by the time he turned seventeen.

he had heard stories about people having thirty, forty, even fifty tesserae and not getting reaped, but he realized that he might not be as lucky. he learned to fight through the panic attacks and the existential dread because after awhile, he had no choice but to grin and bear it.

every reaping he’d stand with his hands behind his back and his head held high, even when his heart started to beat so loud he could hear it through his ears. he’d always imagine the escort saying his name with a grin, getting him ready for the slaughter, but he’d always go back home ready to wait another 365 days for it to happen all over again. he was seventeen when the 89th reaping happened. he didn’t get to go back home.

he let the capital and their minions turn him into something he wasn’t. instead of a person, he was a gimmick. they paraded him around like he was a loyal, brave, rags to riches story in the making. but that didn’t register until they sent him into the arena.

four killed. yves struggles with that number to this day. he remembers their names, their districts, and their ages. every day in that goddamned arena was more painful and heart wrenching than the last. if you ask him he’ll tell you that he regrets not jumping off the podium when he had the chance.

the games did a lot to him. it did a lot to him that no one expected or prepared for. it’s been awhile since a victor had come out of the games a complete shadow of their former self. he had to be kept in the hospital until his victory tour, which is when he first started taking morphling and countless other powerful drugs the nation used to numb the shellshock out of their citizens.

no one really talks about him anymore unless they can’t avoid it. he’s panem’s amanda bynes or lindsay lohan; unspeakable. he doesn’t make public appearances unless he can avoid it, either. he only seems to come out of district seven’s victor’s village when he’s made to mentor a few months out of the year. even then, he’s a frail, gaunt, looming figure people walk on eggshells around. not exactly where he thought he’d be, huh ??

PERSONALITY & HEADCANONS.

he’s ... interesting to be around. sort of eccentric if you’re one of the few people who know him well. not nice, but not mean. he’s stoic and blunt. not nearly as sensitive and as kindhearted as he used to be. the games stunted him emotionally, but the medication he’s forced to take keeps any of that unmanaged rage in a part of his mind he can’t reach.

as a mentor he’s ... not the best. he tries to talk to his tributes as much as he can but his social skills have decayed after around a decade of chronic unuse. his advice is sound, though.

he prefers not to teach anything regarding weapons or killing people, but if you need to learn how to work an axe he can teach you how to swing it like you mean it. most of his time is spent teaching tributes about plant edibility and general survival skills.

speaking of plants !! he has a garden back in his victor’s village and it’s the only thing he cares about. he talks to them like they’re people because they’re the only things that haven’t tried to turn him into a commodity. and it helps them grow, so it’s really a win/win situation. they’re his babies.

he’s bisexual but hasn’t had a romantic or sexual thought in. ages tbh. sometimes he wonders what it’d be like to be in love, but he figures that it’s too much work. every time someone asks, he just brushes it off and mentions how he’s too late to start the game. it stings, though. just a little bit.

walks with a cane. why ?? i thought it would look cool so now you all have to deal with it.

it looks cool because he’s 6′5 and it’s three feet long. it could probably be used as a highly efficient weapon if he didn’t need it to stand.

scout daniels was born blind

her little sister, ainslyn, was born deaf. 

they grew up with virtually nothing to help them, poor in district six. their parents had to work all day just to keep them afloat

the kids couldn’t go to school, too much of a ‘hold up’ for the failing panemenian school system

scout was reaped at 18 for the 94th hunger games, having turned reaping age the day before.

as the youngest tribute, she was also the loudest. she made it clear that just because she needed an avox to guide her around the damn capitol didn’t mean she was easy killing

she was written off anyway

until, of course, the arena was unveiled to be an underground tunnel, devoid of any light but weak flashlights at the counucopia

scout had exactly one (1) thing in that arena. a stick, that she used as a cane

she beat 13 kids in that arena dead with that cane. she was the only one in there who could see. and she couldn’t tell who she was hurting until they screamed. she killed two of her friends on accident

needless to say, after the arena, she couldn’t use a cane anymore. everytime it accidently hit someone’s ankle she assumed she’d killed them

she got a service dog, journey. and journey is just the goodest girl. lots of pats and treats.

ember’s mother died during childbirth, so it was always just her and her father. 

her father died in the mining explosion fifteen years ago.

she no longer had any family left, but she was lucky enough to be adopted into a family in district twelve. 

ember always saw her adoptive family as her own family since she had been a part of their family pretty much her whole life. 

being from district 12 meant that ember never really asked or wanted much growing up. she knew that everyone was struggling.

she always had a desire to be a healer once she got older, she wanted to do something to help the people around her.

she has been best friends with prim for years, she doesn’t know what she would do without her. 

ember has been in a relationship with noah mellark for a little while, and the girl couldn’t be happier. 

ember has always been intelligent for her age, she always excelled in school. she really cares about people. but a lot of times ember can be quiet and timid around people. 

she doesn’t like the hunger games, but has always been too afraid to speak out against them.

alexander “alex” snow:

alex is the youngest grandchild of the late president snow. 

but unlike his grandfather, alex has never liked the hunger games. ever since he was young he would ask his parents why there was the hunger games. and their answers never satisfied alex. 

it wasn’t until alex got older until he started to speak out against the hunger games. 

his parents did everything they could to keep him in the presidential mansion, unless he had to go to school. they were always worried he would say something that they wouldn't approve of to the media.

unfortunately for them, alex knew every secret way out of the mansion and the grounds. and was able to get out into the world. usually it would take a few hours before he was caught.

his parents are still hoping that someday he takes their side on things, and becomes an adviser to his older brother. but alex has no desire to ever be in politics. all he wants to do is play music for people since music is his passion.

alex has a group of friends he knows that his family would never accept, but that doesn't change the fact that he wants to be their friends and spend time with them.

when alex was young he was taught about the underground passageways from his grandfather, something that alex still uses today as a way to sneak around panem.

he knows more than he should because he is able to stay hidden where people wouldn't notice him.

he can be very positive and charming. but alex also has a rebellious side, where he will do anything to upset his parents.

lily knight: (tw death)

lily is the youngest child of two well off people in district two, her father was a peacekeeper for most of lily's life so it was mostly just her, her mom, and her older brother.

the blonde was only six when her older brother, cato, volunteered for the games. games that he was suppose to win, and lily still holds resentment for the star-crossed lovers who took the victory from her brother. 

after cato's death, lily knew that she was going to volunteer for the games once she got over, and finally bring a hunger games victory to her family. 

she had always been one of the most talented people in the academy, everyone knew that someday she would volunteer for the games.

lily was so happy when she was the first person to volunteer from district two for the hunger games. this is her last year she was eligabile to be in the games.

she could've volunteered for earlier games, but the girl wanted to make sure she would win. so she waited and trained until she was flawless with any weapon she might get in the games.

before the reaping lily made sure she study each of the past games to make sure she would be ready for anything the gamemakers would throw at her. she wanted to give district two their first victor in five years.

she is most talented with a bow, but can also do well with a knife.

lily may act like a nice person who is in the games just to bring honor to her district. but the last thing she is, is nice. lily doesn't feel anything for most people. she just acts how she needs to get whatever she needs from someone.

lily is a very resourceful and determined person who knows how to get what she needs. but she can also be manipulative and cold towards people.

aquamarine weston:

aquamarine is the youngest of three children, both of her siblings are quite older than her. 

she went to the academy like everyone else from district four did. and she never was the most well-behaved child there. she did whatever she could to get under the skin of the instructors there.

she was talented at the academy, but really didn't care to do well since she never saw herself as being reaped or volunteering for the games.

the games were not something aquamarine ever planned to be a part of. her parents didn't like the games or want any of their children to be a part of it.

so when aquamarine was reaped she was a little shocked, especially since no one from the district volunteered to take her place. 

the blonde knows that she needs to do whatever she can to get into the career pack, knowing it was her best chance for a long-term survival in the games.

even though aquamarine is only fifteen, she knows how to hold her own, and is pretty talented with a sword. she knows she has a chance to not get killed right away, but doesn't know if she has what is needed to actually win the games.

aquamarine had always been a mischief maker, even when she was little. something that didn't change once she got to the capitol. she doesn't listen well to authority figures, not even her own mentors. 

most people just see a rebellious and careless girl when they look at aquamarine. but she can also be very charming and charismatic. she tries her best to do what she can to make people not get mad at her.

posy hawthorne:

posy is the youngest sibling of gale hawthorne, she has two other older brothers vick and rory.

the blonde was a very positive and bubbly girl growing up. she loved bring smiles to the faces of people around her.

posy never did the best in school since she spent a lot of time helping her family out, and wasn't always able to focus on her school work.

the blonde loves her family more than everything, they mean the world to her. especially since she lost her father before she was born, her brothers have been the closest things she has ever had to a father figure, especially gale.

she was never expecting to be reaped, her siblings always made sure that posy never took tessera as a way to keep her chance of being reaped less.

but unfortunately, she was reaped. something that made posy super worried since she knew she would never be able to survive the hunger games. she had never used a weapon in her life or ever thought she could hurt another human being.

she has no faith that she will survive the games, especially since she is up against over seventy other tributes.

since being reaped posy has done her best to try to stay her positive self, but she really hasn't been able to stay her cheery self since she is worried about the games in a few months.

posy is a very sweet and gentle girl. she does whatever she can to help people around her. but she can also be naive and innocent.

at school she was a person that everyone wanted to work with, but at the same time didn’t want to work with her since she could help get a’s on projects, but at the same time, she would want everything done perfect which frequently got on people’s nerves.

something aurelia loved to do in her free time was sing and write songs, something barely anyone knows about her since she never thought she was that good.

right out of high school aurelia started to work as a prep from district 1 stylist for one of the tributes.

people could just tell aurelia all their secrets since she was a trust worthy person who could keep them for people. she also just had such a positive personality that it was easy to. 

though some people couldn’t stand how positive she was all the time since to some it seemed faked since they just didn’t believe someone could be so positive about life.

aurelia volunteered to be a stylist for district twelve, most people thought she did it to be upgraded from prep to stylist, but the truth is she wants to try to help district 12 win since she has always loved the underdog districts.

aurelia knew that she would do anything to help get her tributes whatever they need to survive.

he is the youngest of the mellark children and his parents own a bakery.

his parents were pretty abusive to peeta growing up, especially when he made a mistake. it got to the point where it no longer affected him as much as it use to.

he had been in love with katniss from the first moment he heard her sing, but he was always too afraid to talk to her.

when he saw katniss outside his parents’ shop starving, he purposely burnt the bread, so he could give her some for free. that led to a beating from his parents, but he didn’t care.

when peeta was reaped, he was freaked out. not only because he had no chance of surviving, but also because he would have to be in the arena with the girl he had been in love with since he was a child.

peeta used his charming nature to get people to fall in love with him since the instant he was in the capitol.

his games: (tw death) peeta quickly made allies with the careers, knowing that he could protect katniss during the games. he wanted her to be the one to win since he knew she could. he only directly killed one tribute during the games. but blames himself for foxface’s death after she found his berries.

after the game peeta still kept up his happy personal to be a rock there for katniss. but peeta was torn up. seeing death truly broke him. and it didn’t help that the games took his leg.

while only one tribute from twelve has won the hunger games since him and katniss. peeta still does what he needs to get sponsers for his tributes. he uses his likable personality to get people to send help to the tributes.

him and katniss got married right after their victory and not long after had twin children.

this year is very hard on peeta because both of his kids are in the games and he will do anything he can to make sure one of them survives but hopes the game just never happens.

he is known around training center as the boy with the bread well now man, he makes bread and desserts and muffins and stuff like that for the tributes and mentors.

also, a not well known thing by pretty much everyone is that he has a bromance with president maverick. the two for the past few years have become close and peeta considers him a friend.
