#whenever my brother allowed me to play gta i would just walk around town or (try as a 6 yo) to drive #when i got skyrim i spent like 2 hours on the quests and then immediately started to just walk around #id also would love to get the open world zelda games just to walk around #i played genshin (pandemic was rough okay?) and i just walked around doing nothing #so yeah please more games like this

< guy who had to stop being an english instructor because the cruelties of usamerican academia crushed them into paste and they weren't allowed to help or support students in any meaningful way. lest they be fired from their position that paid less than a living wage

#no money to live and on top of that if you said hey can we help these students somewhat you get told No <3 #anyway did you know that professors aren't required to have pedagogical training #and if you DO have pedagogical training and you say hey i have ideas for activities to better facilitate understanding #so students don't just have to sit blankly in front of a lecture for an hour at a time #you are once again told No and also How Dare You. don't you know that most students are Visual Learners. they LOVE the powerpoint #they would HATE to do a structured activity.#so you ask okay well can we at least give them alternative attendance policies since we're in a pandemic and many of them are working #and then you are told that you are too soft and the students will walk all over you and also No because this is a University policy #and every day you are further ground into paste. yahoo.#anyway that's why i'm no longer a teacher

watching the part of twd where everyone's getting sick is so weird after the pandemic. I'm like WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? at one point my whole family got covid and I avoided it by washing my hands all the time, hiding in my room, and wearing a mask. everyone's hugging and shit and it's frustrating as hell. this is how I felt when I was in class and a guy pulled down his mask to cough.

i could fr spend my whole days writing for my own projects or fanfic….if i didn’t have to work genuinely would fill it with writing

#case in point during the pandemic when i was waitress and restaurants were closed i wrote like 6-8 hours a day willingly and loved it #i walked and i worked on monologues and stuff too #bc theaters were closed as well which did suck #someone fund my life so i can just write all day #you’d all have more fanfics from me and i’d have plays and novels done LMAO #cielo rambles!

I got an email from my grandpa today and all the draft responses I’ve been working on in my head sound like an 18th century letter that’s going to have to travel for months to reach him.

pandemic year 5 really has me feeling like me and a very small handful of people I know are living on an entirely different plane of existence than everyone else

#like I haven’t seen him in over a year. I’ve seen him 3 times since 2020 #so I guess on the isolation and slow communication front it’s pretty similar #he used my chosen name. I haven’t changed my email yet but he used my chosen name #I don’t even care at this point if he never gets my pronouns right #I thought I’d never be able to tell him. I didn’t want to find out his politics were more important #he’s quiet and kind and he gives people expensive gifts any time he can afford it but he constantly forgets people’s allergies #so he might get you something you can’t have but whoever you pass it along to will love it #he cries at weddings and during church services and sometimes random holidays #he passes out in his rocking chair at every family function #he’s the unofficial photographer of every gathering ever since my great grandfather stopped being able to walk as much as the job requires #and he voted for trump in 2016 and has afaik an active nra membership #he once complimented my outfit by telling me he’d call me a stud if I was a guy #which like. ok. I have some notes #but uh. thanks?#idk I’m just. it sucks being so far away from everyone and everything because the rest of the world is ignoring an ongoing pandemic #I’m missing so much of my life and others lives and even parts of my own transition #I can make steps to reach out but it only goes so far if poeple #are unwilling to mask or vaccinate or even just ask what needs to happen to make it safe #so I don’t. idk. kill my partner #or become even more disabled than I currently am #my family’s been making steps and they’re taking me seriously but it’s all so slow and I’m still sore from bracing for rejection #I’ve been bracing for rejection for so so long it’s terrifying to reach out. about anything #this is not condusive to a healthy relationship lol #not sure what to do other than bonk myself on the head and say ‘get better’ tho #*bonk* ‘try again’#one step at a time ig #ahshitherewegoagain.jpg #.txt

#for context: during the winter of the pandemic will walked into his kitchen and found a mouse was living in his apartment #it was trying to drag a big rind of parmesan cheese behind the oven #the mouse ran away when it spotted him so he went over and broke the cheese up into smaller pieces for it bc he wanted to befriend it #but he learned later that that type of mouse carries a lot of nasty (deadly) diseases so despite not wanting to #he killed it with a disposable poison mouse trap #the song tomcat disposables is from the perspective of the mouse #valen and the villain

random q but how'd you get into toronto sports? like was it the leafs and then ur leafs moots ended up being jays fans too so you got into it? the other way around? or the loser narratives just compelled you or something else?

THE LOSER NARRATIVES FKLDSJFKLDSJFLSD. well that was part of it tbh. i was suuuper into f1 a couple years back and met @ mxgicdave/penaltyboxboxbox online through it and he actually nudged me toward am34 and the leafs bc i was looking for smth to do during f1's summer break (which was also hockey break but getting into a new thing takes a while).... i was 100% into 1634 and the sheldon/kyle narratives from the very beginning tbh, and the whole nature of the leafs like try try try again bc that's what it takes in hockey and so many people refuse to admit it, lmao. there is something romantic about it all... it was very easy to fall in love with them.

as for the jays, i kinda thought it'd be smart to just stick with toronto and get into their sports in case i ever get to go visit (or in the far off dream of relocation..).... i'll have lots of things i love to do/watch in a single place!! and yes, a lot of leafs mutuals are into the jays too and i wanted something to distract from the end of the hockey season approaching so i got into the jays last summer 😭😭😭 also. look at bo bichette. how can you resist....

i love things that happen because of a specific thing
