We’ve now found ourselves amid another shift in mass communication. One where algorithms successfully replaced ink and airwaves. And, just as 20th-century mass media created the concept of the consumer a hundred years ago, so too has this current shift redefined how we interact with the world. And accepting that this shift is permanent, in the sense that we can’t simply reverse it, is, I’m convinced, the only way forward. We are now either influencers or influenced.

Thank you all so much for participating in my ‘help me post old stuff’-poll! To my surprise this was the winner, it’s probably the oldest one of the entire list and it’s just two sketchy studies of Joe and Nicky in historical garb (I can’t even find the ref photos anymore but I know I had some). It’s absolutely itching in my fingers to clean them up and add some light etc but I promised myself not to so here ya go!

It honestly horrifies me how many minors i see in the btd/tpof community, when i was a kid i was picking fucking flowers and climbing trees, yes there was the internet, and yes i saw some crazy shit, but unrestricted internet access is scary thing y’all, and if you’re a minor reading this or someone you know is, please tell them not to interact or post about stuff in this community. Block and Report them, and do your part, Gato has said it, and I’ll say it, please just wait until you’re 18, I promise you won’t regret it, I’ve heard of too many horror stories of people being groomed or taken advantage of by pathetic losers who prey on minors in this fandom because they’re impressionable, so please, be smart, and leave this fandom until you’re old enough.
