okay so. if i were to be an avatar myself i think i’d be one of the desolation, but my FAVORITE fear is probably the stranger. huge fan of the aesthetic and just the general way that it works? i love the idea of SOME people being able to tell but not most, and i like that the replacements are actually usually pretty far off from the original, instead of trying for the uncannily similar route

shoutout to the corruption, too, because i’m obsessed with the whole hive mind “my bugs love me <3” vibe of it all. i think it’s a super interesting way of approaching that fear

i think my top favourite (they compel me the most) fears are the spiral, the corruption, and the stranger!!

i especially like the fears that aren't just about being afraid of something, but having a sort of affection / connection with them, like the bugs with corruption!!

YESSSSS!!! very much agree <3 i found the tier list i made, which is essentially a sliding scale between the fears that appeal to me, the ones that freak me out, and the ones that are a balance between the two

i think i still stand by this, at least for the most part!
