BASICS

No hurting pals

No using pals to hurt other pals

The only pal byproducts that can be used are ones abandoned by their pal (wool on the ground, etc) or the result of wild pal interactions (they fight each other, scavenge what's left)

ALLYING WITH PALS

As pals can be caught in palspheres, but can also resist palspheres, throwing a pal sphere at a pal that is both unharmed by status effects and fully aware of the sphere coming at them can be considered seeking consent. If an unharmed, status-free pal chooses not to resist the sphere, they are consenting to become a PALLY

Eggs can be incubated

PALLIES can be employed so long as they have full access to beds, food, and some form of breakroom and are free to slack off if they so choose

TRADE

No selling pals to the shifty man in the market

Pal products cannot be purchased, as products from the wandering merchant cannot be considered fair trade or ethically sourced; schematics and plants, etc are fine

HUMANS

Humans on the palpagos islands cannot become ALLIES, but may be caught, killed, used for labour, etc. They are not free of sin.

Palworld is absolutely leaning into the "edgy pokedex entries" thing and its so fucking funny man

So fun little note about Palworld's pal ai:

When other Pals are defeated, most carnivorous Pals will not only completely ignore you (as opposed to instantly aggro-ing on you when ur in Line of sight), but they have animations of EATING the deafeated/dead Pal.

These two Direhowls actively beelined towards this mammorest after it got destroyed by another and startes just going to town.

It was also actively seen in Gobfins, lil humanoid sharkfolk, as they ate one of their own after it was defeated.

Not only is it a viable strategy to get hostile Pals off ur back, its an interesting set of behaviors that really really makes the world feel more alive.

The AI in Palworld is hilariously scuffed. None of the raids that happen on my three bases happen on my peaceful farming area out in a clearing. No, they happen to the mining outpost on top of a massive outcropping and the other mining outpost in the middle of a crater lake.

Both times, the rading parties either end up at the bottom of the outcrop, unable to parse out that they should be going AROUND AND UP the trail to get to the exposed back end of the camp... OR not falling into the small crater lake that surrounds the outpost where they CANT CLIMB OUT OF.

I need to post photos of these dumbasses at work but its so funny watching the Free Pal Alliance at the base of a mountain, standing around like idiots and wondering why they cant manage to get to the camp they planned on invading. You all are stupid, I hate you and I cannot wait to kill your boss.
