The Jockey II - 15th August 2015, Treat Yo Self, It’s All Tropical birthday party, Bloc Projects, Sheffield 

The infamous jockey Bitsy Barlow returns. With his appetite for debauchery merely whetted, he is hungry for more. Hungry for eggs as it happens. Hot, hard-fired and glazed. Convenient then that the Barber is at the other end of the egg-line-telephone, concocting masque-en-oeuf, our Bitsy’s favourite. The Jockey, until so recently the model of self-restraint, has only just found out what it is to treat ones self. His chip, cherry and cocktail bender signed the end of his already faltering career, so he may as well go in for another bout of binging. Far from a man resigned though, this is Bitsy’s new sport, a whole new kind of horseplay.

The Jockey 

Installation shots of an exhibition of the work I made during my residency at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop. Featuring Harris tweed and rubber clad ceramic tubes on toilet/kitchen roll legged cork tables; jockey silks and hat; wood turned apples and rolling pins; and cherry, chip and cigarette residue from introductory performance with Aniela Piasecka. 

The exhibition runs 26/06/2015 - 26/07/2015 in the TANK street front gallery at ESW.
