i didn't have much interest until i played him a little in the circuit and figured out his gimmick is really, really funny. he's an old man who doesn't like violence, but all of his abilities fill up a big 'i'm getting mad' bar at which point he cracks and can do damage that scales into the billions. the gameplay loop is trying to keep your grandpa pissed off enough to do anything. if he's not sufficiently furious he can't

Millennials in their 30s and 40s already talking like old people "back in my day..." like do you hear us sometimes. and it's sad to me that everyone who experienced any sort of childhood or teenagehood in the time between the late 80s through the 00s have been and will always be haunted by nostalgia since the 10s because things were good (and I do say 'good' subjectively) for such a brief period of time before the internet age completely took over. and our futures were all blown up by reganomics and 911 with the bush administration and covid and everything that's happening now. years of setbacks, so many experiences once considered universal that we could've had if history went down another path, many of us will never have what our predecessors did and so much will never be the same. the nose of gen z may have been there but were too young to fully share the experiences and the the tail end of zoomers and nose of alpha will never know what it was like before social media was in their palm. they were robbed too and don't even know it, but at least you can't miss what you never had. we're never getting that organic kind of life back.
