Is Chris responsible for the mutations?

Did everyone get mutated or only a few people?

Are the mutations reversible or permanent?

chris IS responsible for the mutations by keeping the radioactive waste from season 4 a secret from the government. the au's start takes place at the beginning of the fifth season (he doesn't get arrested), where all-stars and pahkitew island are instead a large all-stars season with EVERYONE having some sort of role to play (though pahkitew island contestants are also in the mix as new players). everyone does get mutated, apart from ezekiel and dakota; somehow they're immune. the campers are typically mutated to the point where their DNA mixes with everything around them (anne maria merged DNA with a snake, geoff with a raccoon, amy + samey with each other), but sometimes it can even be inanimate objects like brick, who merged with the boulders in the mine. it just depends on the current surroundings at the time of the mutation. unfortunately it's completely irreversible, but they've learned to find peace in the midst of all the chaos. thanks for the ask anon!

That means she isn't really all that bad, like Loui from Ducktales, she is just more jaded, she isn't REALLY evil, but she is definitly the more morally questionable of the two of them
