Reflection
Within the past 5 months I've learnt a lot and have transformed quite a bit in my photos. I remember beginning this semester thinking I knew a good amount of things about photography. Until I realized within the first week, the stuff that I did know wasn't "good photography", just "cool looking" photography. There was a lot more rules to producing a good photo. I learnt about composition rules within that first week of class and even if I didn't run them through my head everyday, I had them fully memorized and practiced within my photos by the end of the semester. Looking back now, composition rules have helped me out a great deal. I understand how to take a great photo without having to even edit it first. It all depends on how you set it up. I know now that I can happily say I'm proud of my transformation. I went from crappy photos into professional-like photos by the end of the semester. Plus I learnt how to work with Photoshop and I've made pretty cool projects since. I always found it fun to play with a picture for a few days. Especially one that was kind of unique, like my galaxy photo. I'm going to say that it is really hard for me to remember my transformation from start to finish in detail. That is why my experience with it is explained very vaguely. Although, I can say that I am very happy to have taken this class. I've always enjoyed taking pictures and I'm always striving to find new projects and learn new things. Obviously going into this semester I didn't know a whole lot about proper photography but I am happy to say I know enough to produce a good photo. This class has taught me so much and I am so grateful. Taking pictures and editing them in the future is going to be easier and more fun than ever and I am thankful for that. Since this class I've wanted to go out and take pictures even more than I ever had before. I want to visit more places to take more interesting photographs. I am also very glad to have spent this semester with friends too. I got even closer to Victoria and it has been a fun semester with her sitting by my side everyday. I am glad I was able to grow a stronger friendship with her on this class alone. I want to thank you Mrs. for everything you have taught me about composition and photography. You made it a fun class to look forward to everyday. Thank you. All I can say now is that I'm going to miss this class and that I'm looking forward to picture taking from now on. I'll use my knowledge of Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines, Patterns, Experimentation, View Point, Focal Point, etc to help me with every photo I will take. Overall, this class meant a good deal to me. It was a class I really wanted to take because I just wanted to learn more of something that interests me. I'm glad I took this class and I'm sad that it is over. I know have something to add to my creativity aspect of my life. I'm just proud of myself with the photos I have taken. I'm looking forward to lots more photography in the future!
