You’re just a kid, you’re not supposed to be a hero. People gaze at you like a god when you waltz through the streets. They expect you to save them, to take your silver sword and kill the monsters that have been making them miserable. But you’re just a kid with good intentions and a brave heart. You wear kindness and righteousness are like an armor you wear all the time and you’d bleed if it meant saving someone else.

the characters in your story

PAGE 75: THE LOVER. It started with butterflies in your stomach, butterflies you still feel today when they hold your hand or they kiss you lips.  They look at you like you’ve hung the moon and you can only hope to be the person they deserve to be with. They love you, and you love them back.

PAGE 61: THE ANTIHERO. At first sight, you might seem like opposites, but you have more in common than people can see. They’re your best friend, the one person you can trust to understand you and support you. And you’d do the same for them. Where has all the research gone?

The truth of the matter is that i have been terrible and keeping track, keeping up to date and getting deep into a rich body of research during this module. I have been lazy in parts and struggling in others.

Trying to put the work together and truly understand it has been the biggest problem that i have been facing. I am great for looking at things, reading the odd paragraph or two, but when it comes to writing it down and using it in a way that works with my practice i am not so great.

I am going to throw my hands up and say that this is not how i wanted to end this blog for 201 but i am afraid that this is what it has come to. 

I am in dire need of a kick up the arse if i am going to make it to the end of the year. 

The thoughts are all there i know that they are i am just finding it very difficult to put them down.

I have taken the idea of practice based to the extreme this time and i hope i have not taken it to far off the edge. I am really hoping that this next module i will pick a subject and narrow down onto that a grab every single aspect of it to build a rich body of relevant research that will support my practice and body of practical work. I need to leave the starting gate running to catch up and i cant stop for a break. 

I honestly think some kind of book supervision/researching review process needs to be in place to kick me into gear, reporting to Kim or Mohini with some kind of weekly reminder to have something to show. I know i am not a child but when it comes to the research side i things i need someone to tell me to get on with it.

I make and make and develop through the mistakes or successes that i have never really looking at the wider context that my practice is placed within.

oh oh this is so fun !!! please keep in mind that this is just my interpretation of the general idea of the skeleton and if you've decided on something else for your own character that’s just as valid. also, my knowledge of the mbti is incredibly limited so i just kind of went by the general summary of each one !!

Question: if Knight is a revolutionary in a certain interp, then what does that make Rebel, who has one of classic literature's greatest revolutionaries (Enjolras) listed on their skeleton?

in the rebels skeleton there are three different kinds of characters who i feel don’t have much in common other than in way or another, they are rebels within their narrative. while the knight may be a revolutionary, the rebel does not have to be. of course, none of the skeletons HAVE to be anything as they are all up to your interpretation and to do with them what you see fit, but to me, a rebel can be many things. they can be social rebels or political rebels, or simply just someone going through a phase. wheras the knight is someone who is expected to be a hero and a revolutionary.

also, i would say a lot of the literary characters used in the skeletons could easily apply to someone else and this just means that some of the skeletons have interachnageable qualities but there are differences that make them unique !!! i hope this makes sense and answers your question <3

how would you describe the difference between the conscience and knight? they both give off parent friend energy.

they do, right ? but i guess, the conscience would be the more rational parent that would ground you if you misbehave or try to push you to get good grades. whereas the knight would be the parent that let’s you “follow your dreams” even if that means getting a few scraps and bruises along the way. they’d be the more relaxed kind of parent, but still supportive af. anyways, that’d be my interpretation using the parent analogy. 

i feel like the conscience is very logical and rational, whereas the knight is more like a dreamer type. a knight in shining armor ready to save everyone, something the conscience wouldn’t do because they know that’s not realistic. and so i’d say that’s the main difference between them.

i started writing an app for the knight, but after reading the tragedy's skeleton, it may fit them better. could you maybe tell me some differences you see between the two to help me figure out which skeleton to pick? sorry if this is complicated or if it's a dumb question!!!

there’s no such thing as a dumb question in this house, love ! now onto the good stuff... and take into account this is merely my interpretation, but i’d say the knight is a bit of like a prince charming type, all hopeful and full of dreams. whereas the tragedy, while also hopeful and full of dreams, carries a sadness within their heart. a sadness the knight maybe doesn’t know yet. in my head, the tragedy reminds a little of anakin skywalker in his young years, while the knight would be a bit more of the luke skywalker type. hope this helps make up your mind, bb . dont hesitate to shoot us an ask if you need more !
