Temporary Partial Closure of Lake Townsen Park

Brooksville, FL - Hernando County Parks and Recreation is temporarily closing a portion of the entrance at Lake Townsen Park located at 28011 Lake Lindsey Rd., Brooksville, FL 34601 beginning Monday, September 25 for maintenance and improvements. The Park will remain open to the public during this time. For those wanting to access the boat ramp, an alternative entrance will be available East of the Lake Townsen main entrance, on Lake Lindsey Rd., past the Withlacoochee State Trail. The contractor will provide signage for parking and the boat ramp entry during the partial closure. The Lake Townsen Park improvements will consist of the installation of a new ADA-compliant sidewalk and handicap parking. The ADA sidewalk is designed to parallel the road to the boat ramp and the Withlacoochee State Trail. The current route to the boat ramp will also be widened with the ADA sidewalk extending to the start of the ramp. The installation of this project is anticipated to be completed by February 2024. Temporary Partial Closure of Lake Townsen Park to add ADA-compliant Sidewalk and Handicap Parking The public will be notified of any potential delays via social media. I just got done with act 5 and can correct/clarify some things!!!

3. Only started to hear voices after Lil Cal. There’s not a single mention of Gamzee listening to voices before the game. But after that it is canon, he tells Dave that Lil Cal is whispering things to him in page 4031.

4. There aren’t mentions of it by anyone other than other characters, who are infamously unreliable, so I’d put this under speculation territory. Also because Gamzee vocally acknowledges he ran out of pie after a point but doesn’t mention any struggling + his behavior doesn’t change until his convo with Dave.

5. Canon. Dave’s video made him realize all his beliefs were fake and have a faith crisis. Page 4027.

6. Canon. Other characters talk shit about him behind his back and in front of him. Karkat tells him he’s a shitty best friend on their first conversation, Terezi says she understands why Karkat doesn’t stand him on their first conversation and at other points in the comic other characters always say some sarcastic remark when talking to him, except for Tavros, who only talks to him twice.

7. Sudden sobriety? Yes. Does it influence him in any way? Unclear. I’d put this under theory.

10. Canon. See pages 4027 through 4031.

13. Bad circumstances made worse by forced isolation by Kanaya and the only source we have about their relationship is Karkat, who is an unreliable narrator.

I created this list of events, facts and data (some canon, some theories, some speculation) to try to better understand Gamzee's character and maybe create an AU or something similar where everyone has a happy ending, just for me :]

why does gamzee manifest for dave wrt considering the icp video blasphemy?

I never figured that out! And that made me mad, so I gave it another shot. Results range from solid to utterly indefensible.

Page 4027

I like the how the shared pose and neutral expression concealed by sunglasses emphasize the parallel between Gamzee and Dave.

The first weird thing for my method is that this scene takes place (for Dave) just before he opens John’s present and gets the new shades, so there’s no context leading up to this moment. Meaning, there is no event to which Gamzee could have been an emotional response – unless the mere arrival of John’s box has somehow warranted a crisis of faith on par with Gamzee’s. Alternatively, the lack of context could implicate Gamzee’s crisis as Dave’s default emotional state prior to receiving the gift…? But then there’s no particular reason for Gamzee to troll him at this moment…

Tavros manifesting in response to Dave reading John’s letter (henceforth Log B) retroactively becomes the resurrection that Gamzee is attempting to achieve? So since in Log B Tavros kind of… represents Dave’s sudden feeling of wholeness, of being in touch with his emotions and expressing himself freely, the decapitated Tavros above represents the emotional constipation/self-alienation that characterized life under Bro?

Which would mean that when Gamzee talks about his miracles having been stolen away, Tavros represents (for both Gamzee AND Dave) the lost richness of experience he idealizes. (Even if Eden never existed, even if the paradise planet is a FUCKING JOKE, to desire it is to experience it as having been lost) You cannot put the bunny back in the box, you cannot revive Tavros. CHILDHOOD RUINED!!!

Gamzee’s mournful “IT WAS GONNA BE US AND MOTHERFUCKING THEM” comes off then a unity denied – like Tavros’s head is denied unity with his body, or Dave is denied unity with himself. So all of this actually supports the ‘default emotional state’ reading – Gamzee is kind of dramatizing Dave’s basic emotional dilemma, just before John’s letter seems to briefly resolve it. (Intrusive thought: Nic Cage’s line in Con Air “I’m gonna show you God’s real.”)TC: IT STRIKES AT ME AS ANOTHER HERETICAL FUCKING BASTARDIZATION OF SOME SACRED SHIT I TAKE SERIOUSLY IN MY PUMP BISCUIT. TC: i mean i guess, took seriously…..so you get a sense that Dave laments his inability to take things seriously, to be ironic and detached all the time? Which is common knowledge by now, but here’s how it looks voiced through Gamzee.

Following are the answers of these questions: It was authentically reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim in the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith on the authority of Ibn `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Trim the mustache and let the beard grow; be different from the Mushriks (those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity or worship). [1] Moreover, it was related by Muslim in his Sahih on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Trim closely the moustache and grow the beard; be different from the Magi. Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) says: And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) gives you, take it; and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it). [10] The same applies to cutting and trimming mustaches. However, trimming it closely is better. Anyway, it is by no means permissible to let it grow too much. Actually, this runs counter to the Prophet's commands: Cut the mustache. [4] Trim closely the moustache. [5] Clip the moustache. [6] Whoever does not trim his moustache is not one of us. [7] The Prophet (peace be upon him) was authentically reported to have said all these four narrations of the Hadith. The last narration said: Whoever does not trim his moustache is not one of us. [8] This is a severe threat and strict warning, which requires a Muslim to be on his guard against doing that which Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) prohibited and to proceed to do that which Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) commanded. It is also inferred that letting the mustache grow too long is a sin and disobedience. Likewise, shaving and cutting the beard short is a sin and disobedience having the effect of decreasing and weakening one's faith. Moreover, it is likely to incur Allah's Wrath and Punishment.Moreover, the above-quoted Hadiths indicate that letting mustaches grow and trimming beards fall under acting like the Magi and disbelievers, when it is well known that acting like them is not permissible.
