#i have so much half baked meta on this#its hard to write out cos it connects to the larger theme of frank and dennis' relationship#bc all he wants is to make it for himself#and he HAD BEEN at least. somewhat. before frank came back into his life#but he just doesn't have it. as hard as he tries he's just. not a business man#the guys dont care and frank doesnt want him to succeed#he's stuck poor in his own bar that has shown him it can be successful#yet hes not able to make it work. and he keeps trying these other things#to try and get out from under. and its all stupid shit that's doomed to fail#paddys only kept afloat bc frank bought his way in and is keeping it on the line#oh dennis...#add.
