In all seriousness, though, I do love that line. I think it's one of those lines that really encapsulates Fall Out Boy. It's evocative and you kind of instantly get the picture but you're also a little like, "Okay, but what Does it mean?"

I think of it as... Well, the image of destroying a disco ball with a sledgehammer is both brutal and beautiful. And that's the whole album in a nutshell, isn't it? It's really all about this. Combined with that "crushing all my lows, ache it til you make it" it also invokes this idea of milking your pain for "content" right? Like, what's there to do but make art of your suffering?
