Tumblr media
P5!MC
♡ This guy is literally a 'fuck you' to every man who's grossed out by their own partner being on their period.
♡ He simply, does not care. Sitting by the edge of your bed, his hand was intertwined with yours. You were dizzy, somewhat nauseous, and had world-rattling period pains just as a cute little extra. You'd complain and he'd laugh softly, giving you his extensive and genuine condolences.
♡ He'd probably try to distract you. He'd tell you about the craziest customer he had come in, or how he caught Morgana playing with one of the cat toys Sojiro had unsuspectingly bought for him.
♡ I think he'd also try to fix it through childish placebo. "If close your eyes and swallow your breath twice it'll go away." You giggle at the mere prospect. "What are you on about??" He'd laugh back, and then sigh in mock weariness. "It's like you don't want it to work."
♡ You probably won't even realise how quickly time is progressing. He is so ready to lie in your bed the entire day, you have no idea. If you have to endure it, then surely he can soften it by passing you tissues and making you laugh.
♡ He could quickly go to Le Blanc to get you something to eat or drink if you really wanted to. He'd bring back what you asked for and then some, though.
♡ He'd brush your hair, watch movies with you, read books while you took a much needed nap, and in the later hours as the sky was fully dark, he'd stay the night with you very snugly wrapped in his arms.
Goro Akechi
♡ Akechi is really, really protective of you. If not quite gentlemanly.
♡ Those he's loved have always passed him by- he's not about to let that happen with you. So expect him to be more.... gentle than usual.
♡ He'd ask you to lie down and not over exert yourself. With a gracious smile, he'd say: "We can't have you nearly passing out, can we?" Holding one of your hands and slipping his other arm around your waist, he'd help you home and to your bed.
♡ When you tell him your pain derives from a mixture of illness and period pain, he just nods. Of course, that makes a lot of sense. He shows a great amount of sympathy for your dilemma.
♡ As much sympathy as he has, he's never been in a situation quite like this. He's not sure if he should leave and give you space, or stay and keep you company.
♡ Only when he sheepishly asked and you fervently begged him to stay did he sigh softly in relief, smiling as he sat down on the edge of your bed. His fingertips brushed softly at wisps of your hair.
♡ "Please rest. I... want to see you well."
♡ He ended up falling asleep briefly after you did- head next to yours as you curled up together.

been involving myself in p3r lately & something i really enjoy about it over p5r is the uniformity of the cast & how they each play off each other & the mc.
i never expect much when it comes to meaningful, LASTING characterization (keyword: lasting) from atlus but i've honestly been pleasantly surprised by the cast of p3r & their dynamics with each other. maybe this comes from their circumstances & the fact that they live with each other, whereas the cast of p5r all came from different sects, backgrounds, & even schools, but the group feels genuinely tight knit to me, & the introduction of new members feels natural & interesting.
i know part of the "awkwardness" felt from the pt's comes from the fact that p5r was widely defined by the concepts of fate & destiny (quite literally, with yaldabaoth's influence on akira's life) & as such the dynamics & meetings of characters as well as their "decisions" to join felt somewhat shoehorned at times. p3r doesn't have that aspect (as far as i know, lol) & it really makes the dynamics between the whole group feel more compelling.
just from the members i've seen so far, i can identify multiple close relationships between them even this early in the game. yukari & junpei clearly have a set banter with each other & had bonded even before mc joined. mitsuru & akihiko were original members & have been there longer than everyone else. fuuka & yukari are developing a friendship of their own. mitsuru & junpei have that sort of stickler for rules/slacker dynamic between them, which is funny. even members who have yet to join (ken, shinji, & even koromaru) have already been somewhat introduced & shown/hinted to have existing dynamics with current party members (ken was shown with yukari & junpei at the shrine, shinji at this point obviously has history with akihiko & mitsuru, & koromaru showed up outside the dorm).
& again, i get WHY we didn't have that in p5r for at least pre introductions. akira's life was being decided for him in a sense, & he didn't really have much of a say in it. but even in terms of once the group is formed, the relationships between the pt's can't really be compared positively to the relationship between sees members.
genuinely, the only pt's that feel like they have an authentic friendship between them are ann & ryuji, or haru & morgana. there are certainly other dynamics, but they're either touched on very briefly (ann & makoto), are based in hostility or creepiness of the writers (ryuji & morgana, morgana & ann), or exist completely in fanon (goro & ann, haru & makoto, sumire & futaba).
so much of p5r is based in solidarity through trauma despite the circumstances of your meeting so it's honestly always been insanely disappointing that the solidarity shown amongst the pt's was so limited to a specific member + the mc.
but so far that's something i'm really liking about p3r. sees doesn't feel like a group full of people who essentially read as coworkers, but rather a family. & honestly with the introduction of more characters that feeling is only getting stronger. not only that, the characters foster strong relationships with the mc without DEPENDING on those relationships & not ONLY fostering those relationships with him.

I mean this with complete sincerity: Junpei and Chidori dating is one of the best narrative plots of Persona 3 and the fact that nothing even comes close to it in either P4 or P5 is why Persona 3 is the best one.

five days for love confession
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: Ren Amamiya/Akira Kurusu x fem!reader
summary: Shujin Academy is holding its annual cultural festival, and it seems that five days of preparation is all it takes to make your crush fall in love with you.
chapter two: rainy monday
"five days for love confession" series' masterlist
Tumblr media
Rain bucketed out of the sky since early morning. You could hear the loud sound it made against the roof, a rowdy and consistent rumble that sounded like it was shaking the structure of the building. Nonetheless, everything was open as usual today. Even though you could see, through your window, everyone running in the streets and struggling to commute to work, apparently no one was exempt of work or school, it seemed. Including you. The traditional summer weather.
You sighed, as you finished your bento. You wrapped it around a pink fabric, placing it on top of your school bag, alongside some snacks. Today, as per the school official schedule lists’ email, you were going to attend Shujin until 8PM, because of the long awaited annual cultural festival — although, for you, at least, the rain was a clear signal that the school should just drop it. Nobody was really excited by it — besides Makoto (but it’s kind of a responsibility issue for her) and Haru — and organizing it seemed more like a chore than the ‘bonding-magical-cooperative-life-experience-of-the-youth’ it was initially intended. But, of course, for a generational prep school like Shujin it was important to maintain these things. To maintain sovereignty over the other prep schools.
Basically dragged, you left home.
The entire path to the station was just terrible. Besides the rain, there was a cold weather that looked like autumn. Your umbrella visibly wasn’t withstanding the winds, and the summer uniform provided no comfort. But you did it. You entered the train — that looked more like an umbrella exhibition — and arrived in Ginza Line, ready to take the next train to Shibuya. It was full as usual. You were in between a second-year student, who gossiped too loud about Makoto, and a guy that was soaked wet, dripping water in your uniform.
Twenty minutes later (that seemed like an eternity), the train stopped.
“Shibuya Ward, Line 3. Shibuya Ward, Line 3” the familiar train voice yelled, repeatedly.
Shibuya was as full of people as always, a lot of them carrying umbrellas or soaked by the rain. You gently placed your broken umbrella at a trash can, as you stared at the heavy rain. A bunch of people was standing at the Shibuya’s station exit, looking at the waterfall coming out of the sky. A lot of Shujin students too, you notice. Your eyes fluttered searching for a special someone, though, leaving your brain disappointed by his absence.
“This may be the heaviest rain in the last 10 years, I heard!” A businesswomen said.
“I heard it. Truly, a summer rain!” A salary-man laughed.
You stood there for, maybe, ten or fifteen minutes, picking up courage to run through the rain. Your eyes flickered to the station’s clock, aware of the entrance time. Eventually, encompassing that some students were running, you ran with them, jolting the way to school. As you felt the rain getting too heavy, you ran into an awning.
“You too?” you heard a familiar voice say.
As you looked to your right, all of them were there. Almost all. Ann, Makoto, Ryuji, Futaba, and, more important, Ren. Ann, the voice you recognized, looked at you, chuckling.
Everyone was drenched, in different degrees. Ann was almost dry, as Makoto. Futaba’s hair was drenched, not her clothes, which really did not make that much of a sense in your head. Ren and Ryuji were completely dripping water, as you.
Makoto was squatting on the floor, as Ren and Futaba passed a few coins to her. She was counting them, coin by coin. The three of them looked unaware of your arrival. Your eyes lingered in Ren for a while.
“Gosh, it’s raining a lot today.” you said, drawing attention to you. “A woman on the station said it’s the heaviest rain in years. I don’t get how they expect us to plan while dealing with this weather. They should just cancel this festival already. I’m certain it’ll rain next Saturday anyway.”
“Good morning, sunshine.” Ren joked, as everyone laughed. You felt your cheeks burning. His cheeks were slightly toned pink, and water from his hair dripped down his face. He wasn’t wearing his glasses, which made you stare at him a bit curious. “I agree. It’s such a hassle…”
“All this festival effin’ shit is just bullshit.” Ryuji added, visibly angry.
“It’s very important, though. It gets funds for the clubs.” Makoto’s eyes were still fixed on the coins. “Any fund for the umbrella whip-round here?”
You searched for coins in your purse, and handed it to Ren, who passed to Makoto. She seemed to count it all again, before going into the store which awning you were all standing underneath. A few minutes later she came back, carefully carrying three umbrellas. Makoto took one and Ryuji the other.
You splitted one with Ren, noticing that he walked slower, respecting your pace. Makoto and Ann giggled and gossiped under their umbrella behind you, and Ryuji and Futaba basically ran ahead of you. The splatting sounds of water fulfilled the silence in between you.
“So…” Ren started, coughing softly after. “I read the email with today’s schedule. Seem like we have the same schedule today.”
Your mind stopped working for a second. How would you answer in a non-suspicious way, that certainly would not seem like you pleaded for the school administration council to be placed on the same activities as him?
You could feel your hands getting sweaty and the sounds of talking getting quieter. You chewed on your lip and answered the first thing that crossed your mind.
“How bizarre.”
The day flew by inconsequential. You were in a different classroom than the Thieves, and, besides that, they had an unspoken rule of not talking on school grounds, or, at least, in front of everyone. Ren and Ryuji had their reputation, and Futaba had to socialize with her classmates, as she was entering her first year. So, at least until after lunch, each one had their own groupies, and Ren and Ryuji had each other.
Then, it was festival preparation time.
As soon the rain stopped, the campus was garnished. You walked through the corridor, trying to find the classroom that “Cutting and Sewing of Hangings” was supposed to be, and, of course, admiring the students’ hard work, as many decorations were being pushed around the school, glued to the walls, and hanged on the ceilings.
Haru waved at you, holding a small bonsai and an orchid vase. Around her, was other girls carrying a few boxes and pushing carts with the most beautiful flowers: hydrangeas, lavenders, and many, MANY, daisies, and sunflowers. The second floor was full of pollen, and you could even spot some students frantically scratching their noses. You waved back, quickening the pace to get out of there.
You slid the door of the class 2-A, just to find the students divided. The room had a weird unwelcoming aura that just made you want to go back to the allergy-inducing corridor. Half the students were on one side and half on the other side, with Ren alone on the corner of the classroom, cutting some red swirls. A silent altercation.
Quickly, Kimiko, a friend of your class, grabbed your wrist.
“I’m so sorry, I tried to tell the counselor, but he said that he couldn’t change the role!” she pleaded "Nobody need to talk with such a weirdo like him."
You quickly walked over to the desk on Ren’s side, the only available, placing your bag on the floor and sitting not so long after.
He looks tired. A lot tired. He was rubbing his temples with a hand, cutting with the other, blinking slowly like on a daze. Ren was wearing gym clothes, which you assumed it was because of the drenched clothes from earlier. Also, he wore his glasses. You could feel your heart beating a bit faster.
“Nobody puts Baby on a corner.” you whispered, joking, as you refer to the endless ‘Dirty Dancing movie sessions that Yusuke and Ann obligated the entire squad to see. Ren chuckled, making the entire classroom stare at both of you weirdly. “What happened here?” you whispered again, wrinkling your nose.
He handed you a script and a note, written in very big, bold letters.
“ROMEO AND JULIET: CAST
REN AMAMIYA as ROMEO
Y/N L/N as JULIET”
As someone who just lost total willpower to contest, you handed the script back to him and picked up the scissors to cut out flags.
What a great Monday it is.

cw: incoherent rambling, im still going through it™, unbeta'd++all mistakes are mine
grim being a selfish brat is the point of his character arc. when you're told to claw for your survival in a prestigious yet hostile magical academy, when you're told that the weak must obey the strong, of course you're going to make use of what little advantages are given to you. that means demanding your henchman to do your every bidding and taking any opportunity to prove your strength.
kindness, consideration, compassion, empathy - they don't have a place in NRC. or so it seems.
the great thing about him starting the story with an obnoxious and abrasive personality is in how he awkwardly navigates his first ever friendships. in the sweetness of the rare scene where kinship just clicks for him, where his boasts and complaints become banter, where he feels like he gets to belong, to have a home.
and there's something deeply tragic about grim too, the fact that he's going to be left alone when yuu returns to their original world. what will happen to his student status? will he have to move out of the ramshackle dormitory? can he make it through his studies without you at his side?
when the first person who gave you kindness leaves, what are you supposed to do? will you say goodbye or will you fight to keep them?

Shido’s palace had been hell.
Akira flopped onto his bed, the rest of the group close behind him, settling down onto various surfaces.
“We’ll send the calling card later. Right now, I think we should all rest,” he said, trying to keep his voice steady. Beside him on the bed, Ryuji thunked his head against the wall.
“Man... That shit took a lot outta us,” he mumbled, and Ann groaned, leaning back against Yusuke.
“...Yeah. That was exhausting,” she agreed quietly, Yusuke nodding.
“Hey, Akira... How’re you holdin’ up?” Ryuji asked quietly. It wasn’t until then that Akira realised how awful he felt.
He was tired, sore, and god dammit, he missed Akechi. He still remembered the awful creak of the metal, the sound of the gun firing. Akechi’s glove suddenly seemed to weigh a thousand pounds in his back pocket.
“...I should feel happy. We know where Shido’s treasure is, we’re in the perfect position to change his heart...”
Ryuji pulled him into a hug, tight and safe and-
Akira started to cry. He couldn’t help it. The weight of everything broke him, and the comfort of Ryuji’s embrace, the reminder that he was still here and hadn’t been blown to pieces in Shido’s palace-
Akira was crying harder, almost wailing into Ryuji’s shirt. He felt another pair of arms around him, them another, and another...
Soon, he was wrapped up in everyone’s hug, sobbing and clinging to whoever he could. The weight of everyone hugging him was comforting, rather than the weight of what he’d lost.
“You aren’t alone anymore. We’re all here for you ‘till the end. You don’t have to be the leader all the time. It’s okay to let yourself be Akira,” Ann murmured.
“There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable, Akira. Please, don’t think you must always be strong,” said Yusuke.
“We’re here for you, and we always will be. We promise,” Makoto said, hugging him tighter.
“You miss him, don’t you? I know you tried to be strong back there, but you really miss him,” Futaba whispered, and Akira nodded, a small sob escaping his throat.
“It’s okay to miss someone. Especially if you shared a bond with them. You and Akechi-kun were close, weren’t you?” Haru asked, and Akira nodded again.
If Akechi were here, would he have joined their hug? Would he have offered kind words, gentle reassurances? If Akechi were here, Akira doubted he’d be crying at all. He’d likely be celebrating, making such a racket that Sojiro banged on the ceiling with a broom handle and shouted at them to quiet down, though Boss would likely be smiling the whole time because he cared about all of them despite what he said.
It felt like hours before Akira stopped crying, content to simply sit limply in the arms of his friends.
“...I love you guys. Thank you for everything,” he mumbled, and everyone hugged him tighter.
“Anytime, man. We love you too,” Ryuji said.
Though they were short a member, short one piece of his heart, Akira felt happy. He felt content.
He was missing a piece of his heart, but the rest of it was there with him, and always would be.
IM IN LOVE WITH MCS HAVING EMOTION AND THEIR FRIENDS SUPPORTING THEM IN THEIR VULNERABLE MOMENTS!!!! AKIRA NOT JUST BEING A SILENT PROTAG WHO IS STOIC ALL THE TIME AND A GOOD LEADER!! HE GETS TO HAVE EMOTION. HE GETS TO BREAK. HE GETS TO LET DOWN HIS MASK AND BE KNOWN HIS FRIENDS DONT CARE IF HE CRIES OVER SOMETHING HE SHOULD CRY ABOUT!!!! HIS FRIENDS GET TO REASSURE HIM HE'S NOT BEING A DISSAPOINTMENT AND SIMPLY BEING A HUMAN BEING WITH NORMAL EMOTIONS!!!!!! AAAHHHHHH!!!!!

no cause the way persona 3 took the "passive silent protagonist" route in the most tragic way possible because when you think about it everything that happens in the game is due to their passive involvement.
they just happened to be caught in the crossfire, and subsequently orphaned for it. spent the remainder of those 10 years passively dealing with grief (either through putting up a smiling front or cold one). all their teammates suffered as a direct consequence of them arriving to the city. and later on MC is just understandably blamed for it but they don't say anything after this crushing realization. they can't say anything. they stay silent. they stay passive. (who wouldnt?).
they just happened to be a child on that bridge, under the full moon. knowing nothing about the life that awaited them (and soon, everything about Death).

Uh, isn't that the more logical thing to do in that situation? When you find out that one of your friends or even your crush was a criminal the whole time, you're going to be too shocked to just accept and take their hand right away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't see the point of saving this guy at this point when Liz basically rejected him last night. There's nothing really to lose out of telling her friends the truth about Nox but, that's her own choice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yikes. Okay, one of my main issues with this route is the fact that they made Nox out to be this ex crush or ex lover where there was no way of avoiding rejection. Either way, someone was going to get their heart broken. And there are more heartbreaks incoming. What is this, the broken hearts club of some sort? 🤦‍♀️
