El treball d’Alison Jackson tracta sobre el voyeurisme, la nostra necessitat de creure i la simulació. Utilitza de manera intel·ligent actors o dobles de celebritats i personatges públics per produir falses fotos de paparazzi o fotografies d’estil documental convincentment realistes de les vides privades, íntimes, sovint salaces, imaginades de moltes de les icones o persones conegudes més famoses i infames del món: Donald Trump, la família reial britànica, Marilyn Monroe, Kim i Kanye West, Elton John, David i Victoria Beckham, són només alguns dels personatges que apareixen a les seves obres.

Photographer, filmmaker and sculptor, since the 1990s @AlisonJackson has explored the cult of celebrities, an extraordinary phenomenon manufactured by the media, the advertising industries and public personalities themselves. To raise questions about these phenomena, Jackson creates celebrity news stories that seem plausible and real but actually aren't. The works are astonishingly realistic montages that 'create' a future ‘What if’ that could have been – she creates images that exist in the remnants already of our imaginations. A true pioneer in the artistic study of what has been called post-truth, Jackson’s work constitutes a provocation against a world of appearances and gossip, a subversive and intelligent form of social commentary raising many questions.
