@crazyfandomluver I’m gonna answer this in a reblog since there’s too much to cover in comments, hope that’s okay!

So, there’s two subjects to cover when it comes to the Urzuk. What Urzuk are, and a specific Urzuk named Rebus.

Urzuk are actually sort of living statues, they aren’t really organic creatures. They are made by the Wardens as sort of scouts/servants, and protected important Warden artifacts/shrines. They are immortal since they’re inorganic, and can’t die even if they’re shattered to pieces. There’s headcanon lore that the only way to kill an Urzuk is to basically atomize them with acid or lava. They’re also seen as expendable, so if a Warden lost an Urzuk it would just make another.

Eventually, Urzuk began to die out, until there was only one Urzuk left in Sonaria. Their name was Rebus. They were unusually smart, and were taught how to read and write in Sonarian by an Owa’Stryrus. There’s actually a really good video on TikTok by Harzhar that goes into Rebus’ story, which I will link here. Basically, Rebus started having prophetic visions that led them to finding the Warden Key fragments. Fearing they would get into the wrong hands, they hid these fragments across Sonaria. The Boreal Warden found out about the keys and attacked Rebus, shattering them.

There isn’t much about Urzuks so far in this new lore event, but with the Warden Key fragments coming back there is a connection back to Rebus. They are also the species you get after completing all the missions.
