Chaotic Main 4 as Creatures
Ok so recently I’ve been obsessed with this show called Chaotic which is like a card game come to life and the main characters each have a different tribe they like. And I’ve seen art of what it would look like if they became a creature from their respective tribes and got inspired to try it for myself.
Actually I was inspired to create a fanfic which was inspired by ‘Transcending Perim’ By: ChaoticCommander. So my idea is that Tom, Kaz, Sarah, and Peyton end up having their coded selves dying at the exact moment they were trying to leave, connecting them to their earth selves, and this happens at the exact moment a powerful surge of energy appears from the Cothica which the main 4 we’re trying to see in person and got caught in the blast. This then merged their coded self with their earth self and after being affected by the energy of the Cothica, transformed them into members of their tribe. A side effect is that it wiped the memory of everyone who knew them previously except those in chaotic. However, the creatures they knew beforehand would know something was missing. Felt that someone was missing but couldn’t figure out who. (And I’m debating if it was Klay’s fault their coded selves died). If they know someone really well though or spend a lot of time with them after being transformed, the creature they knew can regain their memories. This would also be really early in the series so they might not know Maxxor and Chaor as well or maybe they do but just don’t have much opportunities to meet and it’s painful for them to see their friends and not have them know who they are. I’m also debating what would happen to their earth selves, if they would just die, be in a coma, or disappear and be forgotten. And so they only have each other to rely on at the moment since they weren’t really close to others in Chaotic (and I believe that while Peyton might be friendly, he only really hangs out with the main 4) and a strange music in the back of their heads which kinda guides them and acts like a sentient entity only they can hear. It’s always there too, no matter what they do but only they can hear it. Because the Cothica saved them for a reason, knowing the M’arillians would invade soon. (None of this will make sense unless you watch the show). So yeah, that was my fanfic idea that I will probably never write but it compelled me to make fanart for it. Or maybe I needed to make fanart and then created an entire story behind it? Not really sure which came first.
This is Sarah AKA Seraphim (they either choose a new name or someone scans them and they see that their names have changed. A blessing from the Cothica.)
Tribe: Danian
This was actually inspired by this amazing art by HosekiDragon on devianart. It’s actually what inspired me to make art of all the main 4 as creatures. I would see art of them and have a basic idea of what they might look like but no matter what I saw, Sarah just never looked right until I saw this one picture and HosekiDragon’s Saraphim was so beautiful that I had to make my own version of it. The name is also what inspired me to make creature names of all the main 4 that include their actual names. The art also inspired Kaz’s design a little with the hair and tail but otherwise, that’s mostly what I imagined him as.
For Sarah, I imagine her as kind of a combination between a spider and a bee. She’s pretty similar in personality in being very headstrong and taking command but also deeply caring for her friends. As a female Danian, and being considered very beautiful, the Danians that see her basically treat her as royalty. (I have a headcannon that Danian parasites only work on males since the only females we see are the queen and princess and apparently, Larrina is an Overworlder, not a Danian.) so the Danains treat her as something almost holy which Sarah would love normally…if it didn’t have the side effect of them attacking Kaz, Tom, and Peyton for getting too close. Which makes Sarah annoyed. (She lost her home, her family (even if they didn’t get along) and she was NOT about to loose her boys too). Wamma is the only exception and even he doesn’t know why he doesn’t treat Sarah as something holy or why he doesn’t see the others as a threat to her. But he does have a strong urge to protect her.
Sarah is capable of flight, spinning this super strong silk from spinnerets in her wrists (which is what the main 4 made their clothes out of. Sarah being the exception because her exoskeleton already acts as both clothing and armor. Which is lucky because when they transformed, that did not include clothing.) and Sarah is very good at making tunnels, climbing or moving quickly in her new form. She is used to a Danian’s body from the dromes so it was pretty easy for her to adjust. It was just uncomfortable at night to find a good sleeping position.
Peyton AKA Peytonic
Tribe: Mipedian
Peyton’s form was both easy and hard. I definitely had the most fun on it though. I saw this fanart once where he was an ankylosaur and I’ve had that in my mind ever since. I just thought it was fitting. But at the same time, I felt his snout could be a bit longer like all Mipedians. So I did that but made it kinda square. I just felt that fit Peyton more. I also adjusted his coloring to be a bit more greenish like his clothes. I did take the robe idea from HosekiDragon’s art though. I thought it was cool. Then I looked for other lizard creatures and found one with the stripes and I was just in love so I added those. He kinda resembles an iguana and I kinda like that look. Or maybe that’s just me who sees it. Overall, I just love how he turned out.
Peyton was probbaly the most affected by the transition to Perim as creatures. Peyton spent most of his time In Perim and Chaotic though because lots of people in the real world thought he was weird. He made friends with the creatures who didn’t mind his weirdness and the players only cared about how well he did in the dromes. This made Peyton a lot more outgoing and friendly. So it hurt that his Mipedian friends have no idea who he was and that the chaotic players don’t seem to care that he hasn’t played in a while. Being in Perim wasn’t the problem, it was being there and not being able to talk to his friends that hurt him. While with the other main 4, he’s still his outgoing and friendly self. Practically loving his new body. But he avoids cities and other creatures because Peyton just can’t bear seeing them and having his friends have no idea who he is.
If they do run into creatures, he kinda closes himself off and lets the others do the talking. If he’s forced to speak, he tries to act like his normal self and pretend nothing’s wrong. Although his smile is strained if it’s someone he knew. He’s fine if it’s a creature he’s never met before.
As for his new form, Peyton is probbaly the most well adjusted to actually living in Perim. He spent most of his time there anyways. And he is loving his invisibility. He is also their expert on anything edible because Peyton, being Peyton, decided that a good use for the beta dromes is to taste everything in every location he’s been to that looks slightly edible. If it’s poisonous, then he can’t die in the dromes anyways. So Peyton tells them what is safe to eat and even knows some cool recipes. He also does some hunting with the others (they try very hard to pretend it’s just like a drome battle. It takes a while before Kaz or Tom can go through with a kill though. Even if they need it and it’s just animals). Peyton also doesn’t struggle to adjusting to his new form. He’s battled as Mipedians, exercised as them, played as them, slept as them. He’s explored every location and everything they could do so he’s right at home.
His abilities consist of normal Mipedian abilities. Strong scales like armor, claws, strong jaws, invisibility. Keen senses. And Peyton is a bit stronger than the normal Mipedian. He’s kinda the muscle in the main 4. He also does not act like a normal Mipedian warrior. Much more laid back and go with the flow. Which works for him in battle, especially with being unexpected. His body is too big and spiky for normal clothes so he just wears a robe. It allows much more maneuverability without getting torn. Peyton also has these extra hard scales down his back. He likes to curl up into a ball and roll into opponents. He finds it fun. His enemies? Not so much.
Kaz AKA Kazmodeus
Tribe: Underworlder
Every version of Kaz I have ever seen has him with orange skin. And I agree, it looks good. But I never liked the combination of orange hair with orange skin. So it never really clicked for me. I was never really attached to his art. Then I saw how HosekiDragon used black hair and I just loved that. But when I saw it trailing down his back, I imagined that it kind of looked like fire so I thought, what if Kaz actually had fire hair? But I didn’t think having just normal fire hair would be very practical so what if, it was normal hair that could become fire? I already imagined Kaz with a tail and wings so with orange skin, he kinda looks like Takinom. (And while that might have interesting consequences if Takinom feels like she knows him but can’t quite remember, I will store that plot bunny deep in the recesses of my mind). I also never really liked Kaz with horns. I get why they were added as usually it’s a reference to looking like Chaor but they just never clicked for me. On the other hand, I was determined to give Kaz his hair streak thingies. And then I had an idea. I gave Kaz a crest on his forehead that resembles the yellow hair streaks. I bet if you just glance over the drawing, you might mistake it as the hair streaks. But this way, it’s not affected by the fire hair. And I just think it looks cool. I made his clothes more practical with having an open back for his wings. And I made them a similar color to his normal clothes. Also, I regret to inform you, I took away his glasses. It took forever to find his actual eye color but yes, it is brown. I just feel like the Cothica would cure Kaz of bad eyesight if it changed his entire body.
Kaz’s form is pretty similar to Takinom so he adjusts pretty fast to having wings (except at night where he faces the same problem as Sarah). He loves flying and definitely makes use of it. Often getting an aerial view of their surroundings. The only thing Kaz struggles with, is his hair. It lights on fire. And that would be fine if it only did so when he wanted it too (which he can do). But it also lights on fire based on his emotions. If he’s angry, excited, scared. Any high emotion and his hair lights up. Which is bad when they are in a place like a forest. Kaz is pretty creative so he’s the one who actually makes their clothes using Sarah’s silk. Or even making traps around their campsites. For a while, they just keep moving since most places belong to the territory of one tribe and as they each look like they are from a different tribe, the others aren’t safe there. They refuse to split up and go to their separate tribes. They don’t want to loose the only normal thing they have left. They don’t want to see friends who will have no idea who they are (if they even let them into the cities. Being unknown creatures). And they definitely don’t want to risk fighting eachother. So they stick together and they keep moving.
Kaz is the designated campfire. If they need to cook meet, or boil water, or even forge something (Peyton took a shop class so when they find metal, he can forge them into tools, belts, clothing, or even armor if they want) they just walk over to Kaz and hold it over his tail. Despite his grumbles, Kaz doesn’t actually mind since he knows this is the safest option and doesn’t leave evidence of a campfire for other creatures to find. Or make smoke. He’s very useful on cold nights. Sometimes he’s also the designated flashlight.
Kaz misses his mom so much. But she’s the only one he actually misses. All his friends are in Perim with him. Everyone at school thinks he’s a freak. And Underworld players aren’t really popular in chaotic. And he isn’t popular with other Underworld players because of his friendship with Tom, Sarah, and Peyton. He does miss H’earring though (eventually H’earring gets his memory back and helps Kaz but the first time they met, it was like getting punched in the gut for Kaz knowing his friend didn’t know who he was and is why the others don’t want to risk meeting their creature friends for fear of the same thing happening.) The music from the Cothica helps sooth his nerves.
Kaz’s abilities consist of flight, fire attacks, being fire proof (he discovered this when he fell in lava and it was like a warm bath. Still scary though), spikes on his tail for harder hits, and being very maneuverable.
Tom AKA Tomahawk
Tribe: Overworlder
Tom’s name was the hardest out of everything. The others were pretty easy. I immediately named Kaz Kazmodeus as a play on a demon’s name. Peytonic was Peyton’s game ID and it just fit. Saraphim was a name on a different art but I loved it so much I had to use it. But Tom….Tom….do you have any idea how few names start with Tom in it? Or at least not the ones I want. I literally looked up every word that has Tom in it and most had it somewhere in the middle (Like Atomic) and while it was surprising to see how many names actually had Tom, every other character started with their name so I need to have one start with Tom. So I read through a…lot of words. (I was very tempted to call him Tomcat but instead, I shall have Kaz call him that to tease him). Eventually found Tomahawk which is basically a small axe or weapon used by Native Americans and I thought that fit perfectly. A weapon is strong, durable, and I just think it fits Tom’s personality. Especially since it’s a native American weapon and fits Tom’s current image.
Before anyone says anything. Yes, this is inspired by the Navi tribe from Avatar. No, I do not regret this decision. I know that everyone always draws Tom as being the same species as Maxxor, with green skin. And while I think that’s cool, I once saw this art of Tom with blue skin and elf like ears and have never been able to see him as anything other than a blue tiger ever since. I blame the fact that Intress is close friends with Maxxor. And the fact that most Overworlders are some type of animal. But Anyways, YES! AVATAR! I saw Tom with blue skin and saw him as a tiger and had to put them together. While there are many similarities between Tom and the Navi, there are some differences too. For example, Tom is covered in a thin layer of fur just like a normal tiger. It’s not just skin. (Kaz thinks he is a very fluffy kitty). His front is kinda pale blue, almost white, both on his chest and face. Kinda like Intress. His ears are like the Navi in which they are more elf like but can swivel around like cat ears. He also has retractable claws on his hands and feet. So while his paws can feel extremely soft without nails, he can call upon them for hunting, climbing, or any other reason. His feet are also more catlike. His tail is also prehensile and can be used to grab things. He often uses it for climbing by holding onto other branches. And yes, he can hang from his tail if he really wanted.
As for his hair. I was inspired by the Navi’s Queue (no idea if I spelled that right). The nerve cord thing on the back of their head. It has two functions. It’s prehensile, and it can channel electricity like an electrical whip. Basically, for Tom, it’s like a second tail. Only, a tail with a mind of it’s own. It grabs onto anything and everything within reach whether Tom wants it to or not. While his body is very similar to Intress, he’s never turned into a creature with a prehensile nerve cord in the back of his head while he was in the dromes. He doesn’t even know of a creature that has one. So while controlling one extra limb is easy as he has had acess to intress’s muscle memory, the nerve chord is a different story. It can grab things and Tom might not notice until he has to pry it out of the cord at the end of the day (or scold Kaz who likes to hold objects in front of the chord knowing it will grab them and then seeing how long before Tom notices) or it will grab objects like tree branches still attached to the trees and Tom will get yanked back when he tries to walk forward. Eventually he realizes that relaxing the limb releases things and once he gets the hang of it, starts being able to climb super fast and can eventually hold on with just the chord and tail while his hands are doing something else. Like drawing a bow and arrow. (But it will be a while before that happens).
The hardest thing about the nerve chord, is the hair. It’s like a horse’s tail (which Kaz mocks is like a literal ponytail.) Tom basically has his normal short hair, and then he has hair growing along the cord. If it remains still, it just looks like a ponytail, but because it’s constantly grabbing stuff whether on accident or even once Tom gets control of it, the hair gets tangled in everything. The problem though is that the hair is insanely tough. If something has to give, the branch/stone it’s attached to or the hair, the object always gives first so Tom always has to physically untangle stuff instead of cutting it out. They tried to cut the hair and it’s like wire. Super soft but unbreakable wire. They managed to cut it once after using some powers and the part that exposed the chord hurt so much. It’s like when you have a cavity exposed to the elements. Basically, the nerve chord is sensitive because of it’s ability to channel electricity. The hair acts as both a conductor to channel the lighting through it (again, like wire) and also protection. It’s soft against the actual nerve chord but acts like a barrier against whatever the nerve chord touches and just the elements in general. It’s basically like armor (if someone were to cut it with a knife, the knife is more likely to break or be damaged. They know, they tried it when they first started trying to cut Tom’s hair). So since they can’t cut it, (both from difficulty and because it is needed protection) Kaz has an idea from an old Disney movie called Tangled and they just braid his hair instead. That way, the hair doesn’t get caught in stuff.
Sarah becomes obsessed with this. She can’t do her own hair because it’s hard to reach with all her armor. Kaz’s hair is too short (even if it wasn’t, all decorations would just burn up when he got excited), and Peyton doesn’t have hair. So she basically uses Tom as a glorified Barbie doll by decorating his hair with all kinds of beads, feathers, and braids. Tom just kinda lets it happens for 2 reasons. One, because it makes her feel better and they need all the stress relief they can get, and Two, because you can’t really say no to Sarah when she makes her mind up about something.
Tom is kinda similar to Kaz when it comes to being in Perim. His parents are hardly ever home but he still cares about them and misses them. On the other hand, all his real friends are right there with him. However, he can’t face Maxxor. He might run into Bodal who doesn’t know him and that would be hard enough. (It would be fun if later, Bodal hates not knowing something so investigates why this creature felt familiar and recovers his memories when Tom wasn’t there). But Tom cannot face Maxxor. However, he does spend time with other Overworld creatures and even creatures of other tribes. So they gain back their memories of Tom back pretty quickly (whether or not he’s there for it is the question). Especially since he doesn’t avoid them like Peyton does his friends. I think Smildon might be next. Anyways, Tom is struggling but he tries to put on a brave face for the others. As for his abilities, he basically can do anything Intress can do. He’s very stealthy, agile, has strong senses (although his sense of smell sometimes backfires on him). And he also is very fast and can use electric attacks. Kinda like a lightning tiger. Many people mistake his braid for hair and get a nasty shock if they try to grab it or have Tom’s hands pinned and think that’s the end. He is incredibly good at battles. He was one of the best chaotic players and Intress was someone he played almost as much as Maxxor. Tangeth Toborn too and he was also very catlike. So Tom could take on multiple opponents at once and still win (like he did against Codemaster Hotek).
Eventually, Tom learns two new skills. One is archery which he might have dabbled in before or one of the other main four did, or he finds a new teacher (I don’t know but I really like the idea of Tom with a bow). And the second is that he learns how to be a caretaker. The main 4 might stay with Garv for a bit (either before or after they help Smildon at Prexor Chasm) and Tom and Peyton take an interest in how Garv does stuff. With the Cothica’s music guiding them on what plant or ingredients to use for different potions, Garv thinks they are naturals. This leads to them being very valuable later when the M’arillians attack as they are able to undo the pollution to the various Locations around Perim. (And I headcannon that the reason they were polluted is that the M’arillians brainwashed the caretakers with their mind control). I’m also making it so that the main 4 are immune to the M’arillian’s mind control. Every time the M’arillians try, the Cothica’s music starts screaming which basically drowns everything out.

Hello guys, I have a au chaotic idea that I have had for a long time
I've been inspired by @bigfatbreak.
when I First time saw feralnette au.
The way @bigfatbreak changed Marinette's personality and appearance was genius
And imagine Kaz in Marinette's place
Here is the design
(note Check it out @bigfatbreak. blog their feralnette au is amazing)
I'm still thinking of a name for my chaotic au.
Here's the idea
Before the beginning series
kaz and Tom are close friends and Everything is fine
Until that day there was a new student.
his name is Lorenzo Reyes.
he in oc base on Lila rossi and the color scheme is Like her>
like Lila: Lorenzo doesn't like it when someone reveals that his lies aren't true, showing no remorse for lying in the first place. If anyone attempts to expose him, he won't hesitate to try to make them miserable or break them down just to get them out of his way.
And like in Miraculous season 1 ep 24, "Volpina".
kaz, like Marinette, did not trust Lorenzo
Lorenzo Give kaz two choices Because you're not stupid like everyone else You are either on my side or against me. kaz Of course rejects him
Lorenzo: You will regret this. Trust me I will make your life hell. I will make you lose everything
Just like in Miraculous SEASON 3 EP 18
Lorenzo accused kaz.
No one believed him, not even Tom believed him.
after this event kaz changed He began practicing boxing and martial arts And he became more isolated,
I was thinking about what kaz's dream what to be
Marinette wants to become a fashion designer So I thought I would make kaz's dream to be invention & game programmer.
luckily Lorenzo Move to another place. But kaz and Tom, they are no longer friends Because of that day.
when chaotic cards release.
When kaz got the code
Before he enters Perim. kaz Collect some information from players and robot.
When kaz enters the UnderWorld.
H'earring tried to jump on kaz Because of the smell from the bag but kaz dodged H'earring.
kaz picked up the bag and said, "You are H'earring the tracker."
Here's the deal. If you help me scan and show me UnderWorld you will get the Dractyl scales, And got other awful food you want.
Kaz sparked H'earring's interest And he said Straight to the point, I liked this What is your name.
Call me Kaz.
And here things become interesting.
Kaz is building a secret hideout somewhere in Perim.
Kaz did research on Perim language and technology.
Kaz designed his suit and mask
Imagine a mask with horns in front And cloak and Imagine the color scheme deep red black And dark grey.
NOT my art
kaz invented a device Something like Telebracers, And a device Makes you invisible like Mipedian
Kaz becomes a bounty hunter in Perim. he names himself the phantom Of course no one knows who he is And many players tried scan him But they all failed. In addition, Kaz spread rumors that the phantom, Any player who tries to scan him will be killed.
At the beginning of the episode Welcome to Chaotic.
Similar to the events of the episode, but with differences.
When Tom got the code. Kaz tells him about chaotic and Perim.
kaz says it's the truth.
So when Tom came in Chaotic Kaz will be like: didn't I tell you this would happen and Of course, without clothes, you are lucky. I expected that. kaz throws at tom a pair of jeans and Gray shirt.
When Kaz returned from Chaotic.
Kaz went home to Tom and he Avoid the donuts that Tom threw When he entered the room, Kaz just rolled his eyes and whispered the secret in Tom's ear.
Tom: how did you know that? I didn't tell anyone.
Kaz: yourself chaotic Tell me this secret and where is your scanner?
I threw it out
Tom, are you neglected or something? It hasn't been a day since your scanner Stop working and you just threw it away because it didn't work Instead of asking a technical expert to know the problem Or ask the store you purchased from to solve the problem.
And when they heard the sound of the garbage truck.
They started running after the truck.
Kaz manages to save Tom's scanner from being crushed by the garbage disposal.
After all this, Tom apologized to Kaz because he did not believe him. Kaz forgave Tom.
Tom asked Kaz if he could guide him in both chaotic and Perim, And Kaz agreed.
Tom tries to be Kaz's friend again While Kaz tries to keep some space between them.
Kaz always keeps people away from him and doesn't talk to them much unless you speak to him about Chaotic Or made deals.
Kaz always goes to the point Subject In a conversation.
he is friends With Sarah and Peyton
Sarah likes Kaz Because he is not reckless, unlike other players, And also Kaz is good at scan quests and He knows how to make the match fun and friendly
Peyton likes Kaz Because he Finds Kaz a chill person and They both listen to music, The competition between them still exists, like in a series.
his personality:
Kaz is like in the series But he is more calm when dealing with a situation and has More sneaks and intelligence.
I was thinking Make: Kaz makes money from his small business as a YouTuber 2d for games and he musician and singer And an artist.
here's the funny thing
Aa'une and the M'arrillian Scared of Kaz
Here's the idea for the scene
A village from OverWorld Being attacked by M'arrillian and the OverWorld troop Try to stop them while tom, Sarah, Peyton, Kaz They were there
when The general of the M'arrillian tried to control Kaz's mind. that backfire it cause to created a vibrational explosion that freed everyone from M'arrillian's control.
Let's just say When M'arrillian was in Kaz's mind This is what he saw Kaz
Kaz looked at The general of the M'arrillian With eyes filled with pure rage. He takes the Battlegear out of his bag And kaz started chasing him While cursing the M'arrillian in the language of Scotland
Everyone was wondering what was happening and why the M'arrillian was back away. And here they saw the strangest scene in their lives.
The general of the M'arrillian was running away from Orange hair Chaotic player boy While he shouts in a language they does not understand.
Some creatures recognize him as Tom's friend,
This is my idea if my au What do you guys think?

To the tribe leaders have you even seen the humans bribe your people with human food? Desserts anything? Did you ever get to try any human foods?
Aszil: I believe this question has been asked before, but yes and it's become more common in Mount Pillar. There has been an increasing amount of human sightings, it seems the players have realized just how much my people love sugar. As long as it remains for harmless purposes, I will allow it. And yes, I've tried chocolate before. These days, I prefer dark.
Chaor: Lucky you, your tribe doesn't attract the malcontents.
Aszil: Trust me, we get problem players.
Chaor: If the players wish to try and bargain with my people that way, it's their choice. Not our fault if they get coded for it. Also, human food isn't very interesting for me. Won't turn down any meat, though.
Theb-Sarr: I haven't tried any of their food, but Peyton and a few other humans are still bringing water to Mipedim. I too allow it, but I've seen how thirst can be used as a weapon. Which is why I expect my soldiers to assure that doesn't happen.
Maxxor: I can't remember if I've human food before, but it doesn't seem that different from ours. I have seen some humans offering food to my people in Kiru City. Mostly for the warriors, but a couple were offering them to those not so fortunate. To which I won't stop them. I just hope they're doing it with good intentions.
Theb-Sarr: They should be fine. Unlike Chaor, your tribe attracts those goodie-two-shoes players.
Maxxor: And some a little too devoted to us.
Theb-Sarr: I consider my tribe lucky then, if the worst Mipedian players have to offer is Peyton.

Brinley Briggs [Chaotic Player]
Almost seventeen when he was invited to Chaotic, Brinley is eighteen as of Tangath's return to the Spiritlands. Leanly framed and around five-foot-nine, he stands a tad short beside his friends. He is somewhat recognizable with his long, wavy black hair, dark eyes and olive complexion. When the weather in Perim isn't too warm, he often garbs in a deep gray zippered sweatshirt. Beneath that, he wears a plain maroon shirt, and below he wears navy blue jeans and light sneakers tailored for the traveling the wilderness. In rain or snow, or just when he wishes to keep to himself, the hood to his sweatshirt is risen. In times like that, he's more likely to be seen holding his trademark beverage of some Port Court coffee, and wearing earbuds hooked up to his scanner. More reserved and easygoing than most players, Brinley's friends don't often see him smile.
A mere few Chaotic players from Chaotic’s working stages are around today. When the Port Court alpha launched, developers selected a hundred players for initial testing. The criteria was different to today–players were handpicked for being consistently active online on top of being the best, and over eighteen. Instead of characters without context, proper messages were distributed. The beta stage followed this protocol with slight changes. Double the participants, relaxed skill requirement and a minimal age of sixteen. By the time Chaotic was ready for the public, most of the test players were gone. Be they were coded, banned, lost their scanner, or interest, what were hundreds became tens. One such oldtimer, Brinley Briggs, keeps to himself.
Brinley recalls those working days as tight knit. The playerbase smaller then, players knew each other better. But Brinley kept a low profile to start, more interested in exploring Perim than making friends. An escape from suburban Rhode Island had plopped into his lap that he wasn’t wasting. His best friend and classmate, Will Foster, also played Chaotic but not enough to be a tester. Though he could become eligible someday. Still, Brinley never mentions Chaotic, knowing Will wouldn’t believe him.
Beta questing was a thrill, being the first to explore a location no player had tread yet. Meeting creatures with unbiased thoughts of humanity. Well, before several players tarnished their reputation. It was as wondrous as it was unpredictable. Looking back on those days, Brinley finds it miraculous he wasn’t coded. A few codings were evaded thanks to a civilian creature companion. However, said friend has become increasingly unreachable.
When Chaotic was ready, Brinley could count the veterans who knew him on one hand. He was good at the game but not great, and rapidly dropped ranks when Chaotic went public. People only knew him through matches, and his numbered screen name isn’t easy to remember. Brinley left hardly an impression, as he preferred. But a few eyes would be on him after the Maelstrom Lands.
That month was going poorly for Brinley, mostly to do with family and friends. Will moving away for cinematography wasn’t helping. For peace of mind, Brinley frequented deserted locations. The brooding Maelstrom Lands suited his needs. A warrior named Clodor lives here but never turns up. Accessing the location is treacherous, deterring most creatures. Most only come to appease the Eye of the Maelstrom, a nexus of mugical harmony. So long as Brinley avoided the Eye, he’d encounter no one.
Last tribute went chaotic. Mipedim muge Sobtjek, followed by tribesmen Ario, Zhade and Ubliqun, were to offer the Eye an Interlude of Consequence mugic. But some UnderWorlders wanted it for themselves. Zalvar, Kughar, and Krekk, equipped with spectral viewers, ensnared the Mipedians, plus a random human, and stole the mugic.
Najarin himself foresaw these events, and the discord that may follow. Aided by the human and his friends, they and the Mipedians intervened. The UnderWorlders underestimated the humans, losing the mugic and then the battle. Najarin blasted Zalvar, sending Krekk and Kughar running scared as the humans helped Sobtjek deliver the mugic to the Eye.
Krekk and Kughar escaped, but Zalvar became lost in Maelstrom’s maze. Weeks after, players described him as wasting away, and being hunted by OverWorlders. Despite the ongoing hunt, Brinley still walked the Maelstrom Lands, eyes peeled for Zalvar. Not just because he was dangerous, but the chance he might compromise. Though Zalvar’s thievery was bad, Brinley suspected he, a muge, didn’t know about the Maelstrom. Though getting ditched was common with UnderWorlders, he was still left for dead by this tribesmen. Also, a brief history of the OverWorlders had soured his thoughts on the tribe, like how they treat some prisoners. Brinley wouldn’t wish such treatment upon his worst enemies.
As luck would have it, Brinley heard a familiar voice as his song faded. Just ahead, the ground gave way to a shallow drop. Not far below rested Zalvar. The creature sniffled while examining stains of red in his ruffled fur. Either the rocks or the OverWorlders had just scraped him up. Zalvar looked up to see the staring human. He scolded but didn’t attack Brinley, likely to conserve his meager energy. Brinley recalled his idea. He’d never been to the UnderWorld but had scans. Surely some UnderWorlders would attempt a rescue? Brinley offered his aid and, expectedly, Zalvar told him off and stood to leave.
“Okay, but if you change your mind,” said Brinley while turning, “you know where to find me.”
Brinley reclined against a rock near the cliff, waiting to see if Zalvar would have second thoughts. Shortly after, battlegear blasts echoed from far, as did other voices. As quickly as it came, if left. Then, minutes later, Brinley saw Zalvar coming around the corner. Part of his leg was charred, and one shoulder now bore a fresh clawmark. Zalvar looked to the cliff, and revealed himself. “Alright,” Zalvar exhaled.
After finding a cavern to hide inside, Brinley headed for Chaotic. Zalvar needed food, and the Port Court was bottomless, as demonstrated by PeytonicMaster. Promising an anxious Zalvar he’d return, Brinley ported. In Chaotic, he placed a massive order of meats and water, plus a coffee for himself. Returning, Zalvar scarfed down everything, including the coffee when he snatched the sweet drink for a taste. Brinley mentioned porting to UnderWorld City for help. Zalvar suggested Khybon, their builder cyborg. To find him, Brinley sought Khybon’s sidekick, Jiggorex. First, he visited his Perim stash at Igslo Lighthouse to assume a mask-and-cowl disguise.
In UnderWorld City, Brinley tracked Jiggorex to the Infernal Inn. Approaching him, the disguise lasted all of ten seconds. Still, Jiggorex believed Brinley when he explained Zalvar’s predicament. Hopping into his vehicle, they floored it to Khybon’s Forge. Inside the workshop chambers, Khybon listened to Brinley’s request, and was willing to help. He sent Brinley back to Zalvar with a communicator, and a tiny battlegear the boy didn't recognize for self defense.
Returning to the cave, Brinley handed Zalvar the communicator, which contained a tracker. Khybon said he and Jiggorex were inbound by hovercraft. However, the OverWorlders had followed the scent of the meat. The cavern went deeper, and the two retreated into its depths. As they moved in the dark, Brinley confirmed Zalvar didn’t know of the Eye of the Maelstorm. UnderWorld education was nonexistent, even for Perim standards. Zalvar asked if Brinley pitied him. That was a smaller reason.
He certainly proved it when they found another mouth out the cavern and became separated by the OverWorlders. Brinley ran into a dead end, and spun around to face Wytod, an OverWorld muge. The stag attempted to question him, but Zalvar arrived. Wytod followed Brinley’s eyes to Zalvar’s, about to attack. But Wytod was one of the stronger OverWorlders. The pressure overcame Brinley, and he drew the battlegear Khybon provided. Pulling the trigger, a narrow but powerful laser sliced one of Wytod’s antlers clean. The muge collapsed in agony, opening Zalvar to knock him unconscious. Brinley instantly regretted this, Wytod was one of the good OverWorlders. But Zalvar needed that chance, and it could’ve gone worse.
The hovercraft was visible now, and they got moving. The other OverWorlders, Attacat and Targubaj, also converged on the landing zone. Khybon and Jiggorex landed and engaged them. Between Zalvar casting Melody of Malady and Khybon outmatching Attacat, the OverWorlders were knocked down long enough for everyone to embark the hovercraft and bail. Khybon assured they wouldn’t be pursued as Brinley returned his laser, and a contemplative Zalvar gave another thank you. While the OverWorlders never saw his face, Brinley was aware his choice was a point of no return. Not that the OverWorlders’ approval mattered, anyway.
Once returned to UnderWorld City, Khybon and Jiggorex brought Brinley and Zalvar before Chaor himself, at his castle throne. Beside him stood Agitos and Takinom, and together they composed the Infernal Trifecta. Their dreadfulness heard the report with suspicion, mostly towards Brinley’s motives as he noticed the human’s blue scanner. Thankfully, KidChaor had improved Chaor’s thoughts on humans, and he believed Brinley when he denied allegiance with the OverWorlders. If anything the UnderWorlders were looking more favorable now. Something about them was appealing. Then dismissed, Brinley and Zalvar revisited Infernal Inn, where Krekk still ate. A cathartic Brinley sauntered for the alleyways as Zalvar pummeled that traitor.
Here, he reflected on what transpired until a girl came. Brinley knew Kara Morant from past matches, and for her being the ghost whisperer. She heard about the rescue and, while advising future caution, commended Brinley. He mentioned his newfound interest in UnderWorlders, and she provided directions to a human hangout in the city, should he stick around.
Later, Brinley followed the instructions to an abandoned building within a deserted backstreet. Inside was a decently furnished space, where Kara and FireKing, the kindest UnderWorld enthusiast, sat. The three played cards and talked UnderWorlders, which resurfaced the topic of Rarran. A jailbreak at the Pits injured him out of guarding. Kara bandaged his wounds, which she wished to check. They ported to the Pits, where Rarran recovered in a cabin.
Batman was friendlier than Brinley imagined. Even whepcrack-wielding Dardemus wasn’t so bad. The tribe had their faults, but Brinley misjudged them. Many were just troubled by circumstance. There was also a freedom and straightforwardness to the culture that Brinley enjoyed. In time, Brinley became a regular, making more rapports with UnderWorlders. He even took up part time at Infernal Inn to afford city trinkets. Inside, Zalvar occasionally asks for more coffee. He repainted his scanner red. Brinley joined the club, but avoids the fanclubs.
Zalvar told Brinley about the M’arrillians’ reemergence. Both forgetting the story of the Doors, word of a fifth tribe inside was shocking. From the relative safety of UnderWorld City, they heard trickles of news. The chieftain Milla’iin was brainwashing UnderWorlders, even humans. All M’arrillians could, and they quickly enslaved hundreds, including Khybon. Mill’aiin made him dam lava flows. To what end was uncertain until where lava once bubbled now ran putrid soups of contaminated water. The M’arrillians sought conquest. As much as Brinley wished to free Khybon, Zalvar forbade it, and the boy lacked experience questing the badlands.
Soon, Milla’iin’s pocket reached the Marsh of Murk, an oil field. The Infernal Trifecta saw their chance to fry those fish and took it. They parted the capital with a handful of warriors and the gargantuan annihilizer. Rarran was one of the creatures chosen. He enjoyed one last meal at Infernal Inn before leaving, where Brinley wished him good luck and to stay vigilant. But Rarran didn’t return. None of the UnderWorlders did, either being brainwashed or put on the run. Like with Phelphor, the Marsh of Murk was a diversion. With several of their best far from UnderWorld City, the M’arrillians, enforced by Van Bloot and his forces, launched a stealth siege with the undercity tunnels. Kara sensed it, and tried to get Brinley and Zalvar to warn the leadership. But they weren't there and it was too late as devastation was wrought outside.
Kara ran to help friends, as Brinley and Zalvar aided fellow tribesman Rothar in gathering warriors. The streets ran with scrambling UnderWorlders, and glowed sickly with brainwashing M’arr. Javelin eels swam overhead, and giant crustaceans wrecked buildings. Debris rained and fires ignited. UnderWorlders attacked M’arrillians, or each other, be they brainwashed or complicit in the siege. Amidst the chaos, the trio found Ultadur and Narfall while cutting down waves of M’arr grunts, kha’rall fighters. On Chaor’s Castle grounds, they saved Nivenna, a pupil of Takinom who tried in vain to find her. They picked up gladiator Lyssta as she fled UnderWorld Colosseum, and bumped into High Muge Kopond and his Pyrogenousists.
The party attempted to repel the enemy. However, so many had been brainwashed, or worse. The battle was already lost. All they could do was find vehicles and flee. Not before Zalvar saw Krekk among Bloot’s forces. Furious with the traitor, he charged Krekk and the two fought. Zalvar only stopped when Brinley returned him to his senses. He released Krekk and they piled into a viledriver to make their escape.
Brinley became the party’s scouting eyes as they trekked the UnderWorld badlands. He was also their link to other survivors, like Kara’s pocket of creatures. Together in the Port Court, they scoured for helpful hearsay. The search led them to a trio of adolescent players called the Crew. Other chieftains beside Milla’iin now roamed the UnderWorld. They and their reinforcements were sweeping for the stragglers. Chaor’s group was still out there.
All three Crewmates Brinley knew. He and Kara had encountered Morgan, a rare M’arrillian dude at UnderWorld metal concerts before. Their OverWorld fanboy, Damon, is a quiet player with good aim. Their Danian girl and also beta player, Alex, has a reputation for sneaking around Mount Pillar and evading capture, to Odu-Bathax’s annoyance. The Crew hadn’t strong ties with the UnderWorlders, but they still detested what the M’arrillians and Van Bloot did to the UnderWorld. Hearing Brinley and Kara were helping the getaways, they volunteered to assist however they could.
Kara returned to her friends as Brinley and the Crew tried finding Chaor's party. Damon and Alex wielded battlegear from their own stashes, and Brinley had managed to sneak Khybon's laser from his forge before. Though alive, as the M’arrillians were in pursuit, their location remained unknown. The players could only go on faint trails, until Brinley saw Chaor’s handiwork in a burning trail of kha’rall fighters. Most were dead, but others attacked while dying. Clearing out, they soon found dampened Earth, where Brinley discerned Chargola and Illazar’s footprints. Both were at the Marsh of Murk. They could’ve been brainwashed, but Brinley and the Crew still proceeded in the direction the tracks stopped.
Hours passed with nothing. Then, the whistling stillness of the badlands was disrupted by distant booms. Nearby, Chaor and what remained of his party engaged a swarm of M’arrillians. The Trifecta were still free, but Chargola had been brainwashed. He clashed with a weakened Illazar and Agitos, who wasn’t much of a fighter. Damon shot Chargola’s back with his liquilizer, diverting attention onto the Crew. The defocus from the UnderWorlders helped in taking the M’arrillians down.
After assuring the Crew wasn’t brainwashed, Chaor questioned their motives. Seeing Brinley among them, he listened when they explained everything. Brinley called Kara, who put Rothar on the line so that the Trifecta could form a rally point. When someplace was decided, each party hurried, for more M’arrillians were inbound. Racing across the badlands, they all shot down the invaders who tried to impede the rendezvous. Along the way, Brinley became better acquainted with the Crew. Despite being tribal opposites, he and Damon jibed over exploration, battlegear and favorite OverWorlders. Morgan shared several of his beloved bands, including the one Morg is in. He and Alex shared tips on risky questing, their respective tribes and either’s future relations.
What seemed like an age crawled as the M'arrillians just kept coming. The three parties stayed strong, and the Crew kept pitching in where possible, until the UnderWorlders could all see each other. The reunion celebration was short as bleak news arrived. The M’arrillians, seeking to box them in, were barricading exits to the OverWorld. The hourglass flipped, the UnderWorlders made haste to the nearest passage at Cordac Falls.
Brinley and the Crew, knowing the climb would be perilous even without M’arrillians, ported overground. Around the falls, they informed nearby OverWorlders of the impending arrivals. The Crew followed a clutch of them to the Falls, to assist the climbing UnderWorlders and keep the M’arrillians underground. Battlegear in hands, they stood at the cliffs, opening fire unto the Deep Ones who tried bringing as many UnderWorlders down as they could.
Some didn’t reach the top. Many still did, including the Trifecta and Zalvar, Jiggorex and Nivenna. The M’arrillians were eliminated, leaving no witnesses. Zalvar said he was in Brinley’s debt, again. Brin told him not to worry about repayment. As Chaor swore the OverWorlders to deny they were ever here, Brinley thanked the Crew. They made a good team, and Brinley to quest with them again before he and Kara followed the UnderWorlders in search of a place to hide.
The party settled in a cavern beside Rokarr Ravine, an OverWorld location Brinley visited in the beta days. Returning here was nostalgic, and bittersweet. Chaor learned what knowledge Brinley and the humans knew of the Tribal Alliance. It was known the leaders conferenced in the Library of Kiru City. That was where Chaor sent Rothar, Kopond, Narfall and others, to join the Alliance and be his eyes and ears.
Indeed, Brinley would accompany the Crew on future quests. When Mount Pillar’s reservoir became poisoned, he and Crew helped relocate Danian belongings. When Ihun’kalin and his army assaulted Al Mipedim, they escorted civilians the Tribal Alliance couldn’t reach to safety. That quest, they encountered a teenaged girl named Kelli with the worst luck with getting her transport code. She was new, but helped out big time. So, she stuck around. Being a Mipedian player, they now had one per each tribe, if you don't count Prexxor.
Between quests, Brinley swung by Rokarr. Rothar and his party had joined the Alliance. Despite the tribes’ efforts, the M’arrillians still covered ground. Soon, they’d be knocking on the Gates of Kiru City. Worse, rumors spoke of a M’arrillian superweapon, bound for Glacier Plains. Fortunately, a few UnderWorld stragglers had reached the ravine, carrying the telebracers Chaor and his commandos stole from the Arsenal. Even better, Chaor the Fierce was realized. When the time came, the UnderWorld would strike from the shadows.
It was a solid plan, that Zalvar didn’t want the humans in Perim for. A final battle imminent, Perim was too dangerous. Brinley protested, but Zalvar convinced him otherwise. “You’ve played your part,” he said. Of the Crew, he and Kelli stayed in Chaotic. From their second-floor table in Chaotic, the two could only watch through the scanners of who stayed, and wait. In Perim, they checked in with Morgan and Alex, who helped repel M’arrillians from a flooding Mount Pillar. Damon and Emily O'Neill, this girl who runs a Perim blog called the Perizine, hunkered with Vidav the Peacemaker and other creatures in the tunnels beneath Kiru City. Things seemed hopeful, until the mind wave.
The Alliance had sent a volunteering Maxxor behind the Doors via telebracers. There, he would bring the M’arrillian ruler, Aa’une, to Lake Blakeer. According to their adviser, ol’ Tartarek, its dark waters would weaken him, forcing the M’arr to negotiate. Rothar informed Chaor, who teleported there to assist. The two allied and teleported Aa’une to Blakeer, but it was a trap. Tartarek, actually brainwashed, brought Aa’une someplace his powers would intensify. The Oligarch underwent an eldritch transformation, and unleashed the mind wave that barreled towards Kiru City.
Emily and Damon were still underground when it hit. They were spared from what happened to those overground. The Alliance leaders were brainwashed. But the UnderWorlders, with mindbanded allies, soon approached the city gates. The two sides clashed in a battle that soon spread into the streets. It was a night of fire, with neither side gaining significant ground. Though, more creatures were being brainwashed.
At Blakeer, Chaor and Maxxor–well, Iparu posing as Maxxor, fought Aa’une until Maxxor arrived bedecked in the storied Xerium Armor. Iparu stood in as the real Maxxor found the impenetrable armor. Combining attacks, the three used the waters which gave Aa’une strength against him, ending the Oligarch. With Aa’une’s death, the M’arrillans lost control of their brainwashed. Unknown to the Alliance, the late leader was the source of those brainwashing powers.
Relief washed over Brinley as he and a cheering Kelli watched the M’arrillians be driven out through Emily’s scanner. Further relief came when Damon and Emily confirmed Zalvar, Rarran, Khybon and the others Brin knew were alive and well. “I knew they could do it,” he whispered to himself beneath the crowd.
The transport system reopened a week later, just in time for the UnderWorlders’ reclamation of their city from Van Bloot. The M’arrillians on the run, the Gothos Phalanx was outnumbered. Chaor even denied Bloot Gothos Tower, forcing him into cowering behind the Doors as his followers scattered. When all was done, Brinley, the humans and their freed UnderWorlder friends celebrated at Infernal Inn. Half the ceiling was missing, but it was enough for a party before rebuilding began. Creatures from other tribes came, whom Brinley curiously saw Zalvar mingle with.
Post Invasion, Brinley hangs with the Crew, sometimes joining their quests. OverWorld trips he often sits out but exceptions arise, like the Perithon trainwreck and when Dranakis Threshold was learned to be a portal to the past. Visiting ancient Perim, the Crew made the wildest discoveries. Brinley understood Chaor’s spotty family history with Kiru as an ancestor. He never thought Najarin was that old, that Mipedian Territory was once jungles, or that Danians were once more than just ants. Like a rollercoaster, it was exciting, and brief as Van Bloot reared his ugly ahead. He coveted the power of Dranakis for all the wrong reasons. Thankfully, Najarin destroyed the portal before Bloot could timewarp amid a clash between the Gothos Phalanax and a mixed-tribe party of interveners.
“As fun as it was, it’s best this way,” said Emily. After Dranakis, the Crew and her pitched in with the decontamination of the Riverlands. The day ended with saving an ex-M’arrillian in hiding. Most Emily, who used herself as a living shield, and tanked an attack from Attacat. Vidav then intervened, and the conflict was resolved. Emily has also stuck with the Crew since. Brinley gets along with her well but not as much as Alex or ironically, Damon.
Word spread like wildfire when Kaizeph, City of the Elements, arose from Lake Ken-I-Po. The Crew has yet to explore it, being mobile, airborne and difficult to obtain scans of. Kaizeph’s rediscovery happened from another lost city found, Kehn-Sep in Mipedim. The fresh digsite offered the Crew many artifacts to observe. From the fallout of the Perithon birthed a crosstribe racing scene. Occasionally, the Crew will spectate, or sign up. When Batog manifested in the OverWorld, Kara sensed a disturbance and asked the Crew to investigate with her. They saved some dozen creatures from the wrathful spirit. When the chaos ended at Runic Grove, they learned about Tangath and Spiritlands at the Glacier Plains memorial. Placing trinkets of tribute onto the monument, Brinley and Damon wished Tangath brighter days after everything.
Siding with the UnderWorlders. Fifth tribe bringing temporary unity. Rolling with the Crew. Perim time travel. Looking back, Brinley never saw it coming, and he doesn’t know what to expect next. All he knows is with the fallout of the Invasion, the incident at Dranakis, spreading word of the Spiritlands and the return of Kaizeph, Brinley isn’t the only one in unforeseen territory. The secrets will spill.
"Yeah, a lot of players are fifteen or sixteen when they get a transport code. They get like, really excited, knowing the creatures are real. Except, they didn't read the lore and port to Perim to learn the tribes are way more complicated than the two or three lines. Yeah, even I read the lore and I wasn't ready."
"I don't know when exactly creatures started hating humans. Maybe it was something over time? I know the devs regretted some of the test players they chose, and they should. One time they shut down the transport system for a whole two days. No one said why, but I got stuck in Perim. At least I had someplace to stay."
"The human hate is mostly from the warriors. When it comes to the civilians, it really depends. Danian civilians are the warriors, so yeah. UnderWorlders are well, UnderWorlders, but a lot of them won't attack you if you behave. Same for the OverWorld, but a lot less bite. A lot of the time, they just give you those nasty stares because outsider. Or they just pretend to like you. Mipedian civies are usually pretty chill. Just don't mess with their water."
"Have you ever heard of a creature who got addicted to coffee? I gave Zalvar a coffee problem. Hey, he took that first coffee without my permission. And telling an UnderWorlder no doesn't always go well, especially when it comes to drinks. I try to moderate Zalvar's coffee consumption, and make him brush. I've known CodeMaster Amzen since she joined the council. She doesn't take stuff like that lightly. She can be worse than Hotekk. Firsthand experience, I'm never breaking the rules again."
"OverWorlders and UnderWorlders? How they started hating each other could have been resolved like, ages ago. But we're way too deep in now. The M'arrillian Invasion was never gonna be enough for total peace. They're not at each other's throats like before, but it'll be a while before either of those tribes takes Vidav and his treaty seriously. Poor Vidav, though. Emily said he took up drinking after the Perithon. I knew him, he never touched that stuff before."
"What are the biggest issues in UnderWorlder culture? Well, besides fighting over everything, uh. I don't know how else to put this, daddy and mommy issues. Lack of discipline, or the right kind. I mean, the problems are because of what they're born into, and it's not like they can just move to the OverWorld. Some players say they're a lost cause, but Kara and FireKing and I, we don't think so. I think anyone can change, almost anyone. Tribalism isn't as hard to shake as like, religion, and with Perim it's not exactly just faith. A lot of stories are true, for better or worse."
"UnderWorlders do have drugs. They're just potions and plants. I mess with them at hangouts or concerts, sometimes. I would not recommend them, you will see some spooky stuff."

Portal To Perim Beyon: Kiru City Beyond
After getting into Chaotic again, and reading the Lore for Cardfight Vanguard Overdress, it got me into thinking about what Perim might be like in the future. So, I decided to start posting bios and the like on my ideas in the form of Portal to Perim style bios. If this gets some attention, I’ll post more
In the 100 years since the reign of Maxxor, the Overworld capital has undergone massive changes in both size and population. The Overworlders were always known as trying to keep close relationships with other tribes, but after the war with the M'arrillians, many Overworlders formed long lasting friendships with creatures from other tribes and this led to many outsiders coming to Kiru City for battle training, diplomatic missions, educations and even just to live lives of their own. The integration of other cultures grew more and more until, forty years ago, the then queen of the Overworld decreed to allow any creature of any tribe the ability to come to Kiru City and claim Overworld citizenship. This led to Kiru city becoming a massive hub for immigrants of other tribes. Mipedians, Danians, M’arrillians, and even Underworlders all live within the Overworld capital. The influx of new citizens from around Perim has helped grow Kiru’s prosperity, but some high ranking Overworlders decry the idea of allowing outsiders into their tribe and see the cities non-Overworlder population as a stain on Kiru’s history.
And it’s not just the city's people that have changed over the years. The physical layout of the capitol has also drastically shifted. Instead of just the one wall that was used to protect the city, Kiru has now been split into three separated sections, each one surrounded by its own mugically reinforced stone wall. The first section of the city acts as the so-called “peoples area”. This is where the majority of Kiru city's population lives. This area is even more split into several sections to reflect the city's diversity, with there being different districts primarily populated by Underworlders, Mipedian’s and Danians. Though creatures from other tribes can live outside those areas, these neighborhoods act as places where they can share and indulge in their culture and the current leader of the Overworld sees them as helping make Kiru into a microcosm of all Perim. This section of the city also contains the famous Kitu City marketplace, where citizens can find food, books, clothing, mugic, and battlegear from all over Perim.
Within the city’s second wall is what’s considered to be “the learning quadrant” and it contains numerous areas of education and knowledge. From the Overworld library and it’s vast collection of books from everywhere, to the Overworld mugic hall, where muges come to study and experiment with their art, to the world famous Intress Academy of Elemental Studies. The academy is one of the jewels of the Overworld capital, boasting highly experienced teachers and trainers from all over Perim. Similarly, the student body is also extremely diverse with Students from all tribes being allowed to attend. Students not only study how to perform elemental attacks, but also how to construct elemental battle gear, create elemental mugic and study locations that have elemental attunement. Attendance there can truly make one into a master of the elements.
The final part of Kiru City is in the dead center. Here is where most of Kiru's government officials, soldiers, muges, and nobles live. This section houses the palace of the overworld ruler, the barracks, the Overworld arsenal and several other important strategic facilities. The walls of this area of the city are extra thick and heavily guarded at all times, with only recognized personnel being allowed to enter. But don’t think that this means that the inhabitants are indifferent to the rest of the city. In times of war or crisis, the gates to the center of the city are opened so that all the people from the outer two areas can evacuate there, to be protected by nearly indestructible walls and the Overworld's best soldiers. Even after all these years, the Overworlders still make sure to care for all their people.

Bribed with Chocolate. The way it should be.
Part 22 || First || Previous || Next
--Full Series--
More to come as this is a two-parter. But you know how I am with schedules.
Bonus:
I think this was an equally possible reaction from Chara.
#Chara and Azzy have another talk#Finally Chara shows their mischievous side.#and Azzy knows Chara's language well#my art#deltarune chara timeline#art#bread#deltarune#ngl im so happy with how that chocolate shake came out. I want to eat it so bad#yay 6 pages of taking :') i hope you guys like that lmao#Glad I got this one done in basically a month and a week! Hah. I'm trying me best :') Halloween.. Exams and a ton of other things came up#surprisingly these backgrounds weren't terrible to do... I mean took more than two hours but you know what I mean#i struggled with how to frame the background though. I actually liked drawing it. But because both the background and my characters--#--are super colorful I have to make sure I don't muddle the whole page.#Ive been thinking of doing the overworld in black and white recently... may help me actually finish the comic lol. idk i may make a poll#gonna try and get the new part out in maybe a month again? sorry. Thanksgiving and Christmas get me exhausted.

arias do you have any family members?
Arias: I have my parents and two brothers. I'm the eldest child but I'm actually the shortest. And the least angry. Their temper makes mine look like Vidav's, and I've only seen him raise his voice twice.
