And so we come to the end of another SkyStar Week. Thank you to everyone for participating, as always there have been so many wonderful stories and art pieces and it's fantastic to see this week inspire such creativity. Especially after four years of running this event it's great getting to see something fresh and new, and people's love for these characters still going strong. And hopefully we'll see more SkyStar in years to come.

Yeah, that's his first appearance in the cartoon. I would need to watch it again, but I mostly remember him talking about how much he loves his alt mode with Seaspray telling him whatever floats his boat.

That turnaround is really what's missing from his character. Like, if you want to start him as snooty, fine, but just remember to write that change of heart (for the context of Earthspark, he would have already gone through that and been BFFsies--or boyfriends--with Raoul).

So I think Tracks (plus Raoul) would really work well in Earthspark and desperately wish to see him actually have a role in a show again.

However, if he does show up, I really, really, really hope they highlight one of the key parts of his character from G1 that pretty much every other adaptation has dropped (for the worst, imo): the fact that this giant alien robot spent 5 minutes on Earth and said "I love this place".

Sure, we can talk ad nauseum about his vanity, but it's been played out. However, every time in G1 where Tracks was featured was him being 100% into Earth and humans. He loves NYC, he loves Corvettes, he loves Hollywood, both of his feature episodes were human centric, and one of the first lines in his OG bio was about how much he loves Earth.

Please, bring this characteristic back!

My Flame Palace could always use more test subjects."

🤖- What got you into TF?

I don't really know, actually. Because I have faint memories of watching G1 with my family, but I don't think I really "knew" what I was watching at the time because I was so young.

I think it was actually Transformers fanfics that got me into the franchise as a whole lmao. Which is odd because I genuinely did not know half the characters and never really bothered to see who all of them were. I figured out most of the characters’ personalities from the way other people wrote them, but still. Took me a very long time to actually know who everyone was.

I started with gen fics on ff.net and livejournal and (if I was really committed) Deviantart.

Then I 'graduated' to AO3 ... blissfully unaware that bookmarks were a thing I could do. Then I bounced over to Quotev (back when the interface was ... very different and groups were still a thing on the site) for a spell, then to Wattpad, then back to AO3.

Somewhere along the line a cousin introduced me to Transformers: Prime. I found Animated and the Unicron Trilogy on my own from there, though.

So: it seems it was fanfics that got me into it.
