A pretty much self indulgent Husk Overlord AU where he gambled against Val, Husk wins and in exchange, he keeps his casino and Angel's contract is transferred to Husk ;) Oh yeah and they get RINGS!!!

Ever since I found out about this AU I haven't been able to keep it off of my mind??? Like pls, all I wanna do is talk about it. AU belongs to @celestialalpacaron btw! There was also a longer version of the text I couldn't fit in for the life of me but it was basically like, "Why thanks. My boss happens to have decent taste when it comes to picking out clothing." Cuz idk why but in my head the dress Angel wears is like, his 'uniform' for when he's at the casino? Anyway, enjoy!

Do y’all know what we’re missing in the Overlord Husk AU genre?

A fic (or fics ; 3 ) where Angel goes to Overlord Husk himself to get free from Valentino.

Imagine: Angel is fed up with Valentino, the studio, the clients, the whole Valentino & Vox thing, the entirety of the Vee’s operation.

So one day, after he gets off work, Angel disguises himself, expertly swipes a pack of cards from Husk’s casino as he walks in, sweet talks his way into learning what room Husker’s in, sneaks his way into a meeting with Husker.

He takes off bits of his disguise, You know who I am?

Doesn’t everyone, kid? Your face is plastered everywhere.

Angel grins, Most everyone, but never hurts to ask.

Angel starts shuffling the deck and Husk thinks Angel wants to play a round, but Angel’s playing an entirely different game.

He tells Husker what he knows about him, his casino, how he plays in soul contracts. Doesn’t bother with his sob story, Husker knows who he is, he can put the pieces together himself. Angel pulls out the King of Hearts from the deck.

You’re the King of Souls, baby.

And what? You’re trying to become my Queen? Because I’m not interested-

No, don’t be silly, Sweetheart, I wanna be your ace.

Husk raises an eyebrow, mildly interested.

Angel starts dealing out cards for a round of poker.

Do you realize how many people can’t shut up after a night with me? It’s like their brain turns to mush or something and they can’t remember why they shouldn’t be talking ‘bout certain stuff. I know things about Overlords and their operations and their right hands and their subordinates, etc etc that no one else does.

Husker stares at Angel. He’s considering everything he’s heard.

Husk flips over his cards, he has a pair of Kings.

I can get you any information you seek, help you with expansion, provided additional in-house appeal. I can make you so much money, bring in so much business, make sure you always have the right cards to play, all you have to do…

Angel flips over his hand to show a pair of aces.

is win my soul.

Husker grins at him, thrilled by the game and intrigued by the proposal.

Angel grins back.

Do we have a deal?

And then later they fall in love, he frees Angel, and they become THE power couple of hell 💋

ANGEL OVERLORD IDEAS

After he kills Valentino he shows up to a performance as if nothing had happened, all while the other V's are going insane and trying to catch him (say like in Chicago the musical; the opening scene)

When killing an overlord all souls and contracts pass on to you, so Angel knowing Vox and Velvett are after him doesn't break the contracts, instead uses his new power to make the studio much better, safe and secure for the employees with actual humane conditions and gives them the choice to either be free or stay with an improved contract (literally everyone stays bc holy shit this guy actually respects us, it's so much better in here than out there)

The porn industry is relocated to another side of the pentagram, close to the hazbin hotel and Husk's casino.

Husk agrees to let angel do performances on the stage to attract more people (making sure to keep everything fancy ofc, no nudity or anything) Angel's dream was to be an actor after all, not a pornstar. This is how they become acquaintanced

Charlie comes to the casino to promote her hotel, much to the amusement of angel and the annoyance of husk (she does pay so it's not like he can do anything)

This is how they become friends with the others

Angel becomes a big success,being an overlord, an actor, singer and performer

This brings attention to his family, his father specifically, who wants to take angel back into the mob business so he can take advantage of angels power and resources

Angel being raised with the 'family is everything' mentality feels obliged though husk reasures that he's not

In a final showdown against the mobs angels agrees

"your right" his father on his knees and surrounded by his men; all defeated. "Family is everything" says the overlord,,, looking to the hotel crew, as his eyes linger on husk... And the matching rings on their fingers
