A Compassionate Edupreneur Determined to Serve Humankind “No one should have to choose between life and death because of the affordability factor of a treatment” ~ Dr. Sudhir Giri
Tumblr media
Dr. Giri has been using his expertise and competence in setting up educational institutes, universities, and healthcare facilities across India.
Dr. Giri, hails from a rural background, and has achieved so much in life with sheer hard work and determination to challenge every obstacle.
He has seen how much a middle-class man suffers at the hands of corrupt bureaucrats, especially in terms of medical aid.
These days, falling sick is also a luxury, as affording healthcare facilities can burn a common man’s pocket.
There are very few privileged people who still use their powers to help the weaker sections, and Dr. Giri is one such personality.
Along with affordable education, he has been working industriously towards Affordable Healthcare and Medical Facilities for the underprivileged classes, as Dr. Sudhir believes in equality for all.
He believes everyone deserves to study and attain medical facilities despite their social status. The growth of a nation majorly depends upon skilled and educated youth and their well-being is also of great importance.
If we deprive the youth of a nation of proper healthcare and education, then the nation would suffer at large.
In order to make his dream come true, Sir founded the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) to offer quality healthcare facilities for all.
During the unprecedented pandemic situation, VIMS created a record by curing over 2000 corona patients during the first wave of Corona.
When India was hit by the second wave, doctors and healthcare workers worked tirelessly, and as a result, VIMS was amongst the institutes that recorded the lowest number of deaths in the country.
Even the testing times of COVID-19 saw Dr. Giri working diligently, leaving no effort to provide healthcare facilities to the public. Apart from the pandemic, the Venkateshwara group is always at the forefront to serve the public in various domains.
Under Dr. Giri’s excellent guidance and leadership, major healthcare initiatives are being undertaken by the group.
India administered 100 crore doses in October 2021 owing to the efforts of institutes like VIMS, which acted as committed vaccination centers.
Dr. Sudhir Giri mentored their operations and constantly worked with the healthcare officials for the betterment of facilities by adding the latest equipment and services.
Sir has received various honors for his social work. Her Excellency Anandi Ben Patel, Governor of UP, honored Dr. Sudhir Giri for doing laudable work in healthcare.
She also applauded the commendable work executed by private medical colleges & institutions, especially during the pandemic situation.
He also received the “Excellence Healthcare Award” for performing excellent work during Corona at an event organized at Ram Manohar Lohia Medical College in Lucknow.
Dr. Giri extended his heartfelt gratitude and stated how special receiving this award was for him, and such salutations motivate him to work more diligently towards serving the multitudes who are in need. He received the award for persistent & dedicated service in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Without a strong pharmaceutical setup and knowhow, the medical facilities are incomplete.
Hence, along with the 750 bedded hospital at VIMS, Dr. Giri established the VIT College of Pharmacy (VITCP) and Venkateshwara Institute of Pharmacy (VIP) in the year 2018 and 2019.
All India Council of Technical Education, GOI, and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, have approved both the institutes, and the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh has granted their affiliation.
We established the Pharmacy Institutes with a mission that the faculty and students will be innovators and leaders in transforming health care to create positive outcomes through discoveries and research.
Dr. Giri plans on venturing into many more projects that would be beneficial for the masses.
Along with educational institutes, the Shri Venkateshwara Group also keeps organizing medical camps where we provide free of cost healthcare facilities to the economically weaker sections of the society.
These medical camps provide medical advice and medicine to underprivileged people and suggest treatments as per their requirements.
These camps ensure people are getting healthcare at the correct time; before a minor health problem balloons into a serious illness.
Dr. Sudhir Giri aims to increase disease awareness and aims to provide cost-free medical facilities.
Through these free medical camps, he offers ECG, OPD, Diagnosis, Blood Tests, Maternity, Oncology, Radiotherapy, Radiology, Physiotherapy, and Urology facilities available to the deprived population of the country.
These underprivileged people cannot afford, nor have access to, basic healthcare services about the diseases they are suffering from.
Dr. Giri envisions a nation where no one has to compromise on their health, only because of finances.

What is arthritis? main cause, symptoms and how to cure arthritis
Arthritis is used to describe inflammation, swelling and stiffness in one or more joints. Other symptoms may include redness, warmth, and decreased movement of the affected joints. Arthritis has been found to be more common among adults aged 45 years or older, but it can affect people of all ages, including children. Arthritis isn’t a single condition and there are several different types.
How many types of arthritis are there?
There are over 200 types of arthritis. The most common forms are osteoarthritis (Degenerative bone disease) and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Other types include gout, lupus fibromyalgia, septic arthritis, cervical spondylitis, lumber spondylitis, etc.
What is the prevalence of arthritis?
Each year, arthritis result in nearly 10 Lakhs hospitalizations and close to 4.5 Crores outpatient visit to health care centers. In India, close to 15 per cent of the general population could have one or other form of arthritis and this means, more than 15 Crores people in the country!
What is Rheumatoid arthritis?
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a long-lasting autoimmune disorder and a systemic disease that primarily results into joint inflammation, severe pain, loss of joint function and eventual joint destruction and deformity. The can lead to variable severity ranging from mild inflammation in a few joints to symmetric involvement in multiple joints, mainly in the hands and feet. Most commonly, the wrist and hands are involved, with the same joints typically involved on both sides of the body.
What is Osteoarthritis?
Osteoarthritis affects the fingers, knees, hips which result from breakdown of joint cartilage and underlying bone. Osteo Arthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disorder with or without inflammation. This mainly results from wear and tear of cartilage that leads two bones to rub together, causing friction, damage, and inflammation in the joints. It is prevalent among overweight elderly adults affecting larger joints like knee, shoulder, hip etc. The most common symptoms are joint pain and partial join stiffness (One side of the body is often more affected than those on the other). In severe cases, it can create a crackling sound with the movement of joints. Also, sometimes the joint gets filled with fluid. Pain in joints while climbing down the stairs is one of the most significant symptoms.
What does Ayurveda says about RA?*source
According to Ayurveda, the main pathogenic event in RA or Aamavata is the formation and deposition of Aama (Toxins material produced within the body) at all levels of body physiology including gastrointestinal and macro and micro channels of the inner transport system of the body. When we start consuming food not conducive to our body and follow a lifestyle not suitable to our body. This results into the following:
Tridoshik disequilibrium: People with predominant Vata or Kapha Prakriti and/or their disequilibrium are more likely to suffer from Aamavata/RA.
Decreased Agni or metabolic fire: Agni corresponds to enzymes, chemicals, hormones, neurotransmitters, and cytokines known to modern science. Ayurveda proposes a well-conceived concept of Agni.
Alteration of bacterial flora of the gut or dysbiosis: The human body is a composite of 10 trillion karyotypic cells and 100 trillion micro-organisms. There is a symbiotic relationship between the microbes and the human body Intestinal mucosal permeability and peristalsis is impaired in Aamavata.
Dysfunction of the macro and micro channels of transport or Strotas: Occurs from the gastrointestinal tract and vasculature all the way down to the membrane transport system.
Increased formation of free radicals
Recommendations from Ayurveda to mange RA/OA
The digestion should slowly improve reducing the production of Ama in the body. This is a slow process and may involve using Ayurveda formulations to detoxify your body daily.
Fasting is also an essential way to boost the digestion of Ama. Fasting can either be complete or be partial. Having early dinner every day (7 PM) to provide ample rest to digestive system can be a way out like partial fasting.
Daily exercises including Yoga practices should complement the daily Ayurvedic treatments. This keeps the body organs to functions at its optimal level.
Foods that are rich in Vitamin C will help enhance the effectiveness of the Ayurvedic anti-arthritis treatments. This is highly essential to reduce skeletal pain. Vitamin C with other micronutrients are nowadays available in easy to consume tablet forms which are 100% natural.
Manage body weight at an optimal level as it leads to pressure on the joints.
Get massage regularly with Ayurvedic Joint pain oils: It can provide an overall sense of well-being by providing relief from joint pain and movement discomfort.
Get sufficient Calcium and Vitamin D: Calcium deficiency can be fulfilled using herbal and 100% natural Calcium supplements from market. Also, enough exposure to sunlight is essential to maintain good dose of Vitamin D from natural source.

★ Tick Despite Being An Ode To Formula Films, What Makes Salman Khan’s 'Dabangg' Series Tick!
Every time a 'Dabangg' movie hits the screen, it storms the box office. It is most likely to be no different this time when its third installment, 'Dabangg 3' releases in the pre-Christmas week this month.
Dec 3m 2019
Tumblr media
Superstar Salman Khan’s 'Dabangg' franchise is probably the last link with the kind of cinema Bollywood is believed to have left behind years ago. Formulaic, predictable and seemingly out of sync with the changing times, it is so much like the much-reviled movies of 1980s, which the millennial audiences love to hate today.
And yet, every time a movie from this series hits the screen, it storms the box office. It is most likely to be no different this time when its third installment, 'Dabangg 3' releases in the pre-Christmas week this month. Going by the looks and feel of its trailer, it appears to be merely as an extension of its two superhit prequels, which were released in 2010 and 2012, and once again gives an uncanny sense of déjà vu. What then makes the Dabanggs tick? Well, here are the ten good reasons:
1. Salman Khan: Popularly known as “Bhai” in and outside the industry, Salman remains a superstar in the true sense with a humongous fan following across the country and beyond. Even his flop projects do a business of more than Rs 100 crore in the first weekend itself. His name draws tremendous footfalls both at the multiplexes in the big cities and the single-screen theatres in the smaller ones.
2. Chulbul Pandey: Salman’s character of Chulbul Pandey, a funny cop with a steely resolve to fight against the injustices, appears to have connected with the audience big time.
3. Lead pair: Chulbul Pandey’s chemistry with Rajjo, his wife played by Sonakshi Sinha, has the old world charm of a romantic couple, which is rarely seen onscreen in an era of realistic stories these days.
4. Music: At a time when melody has abandoned Hindi film music under the cacophony of Punjabi rap, you can find some sense in the songs of 'Dabangg'.
5. Antagonist: You have to have an antagonist to match a star of Salman’s calibre with whom he can fight. Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj were equal to the task in the previous installments while Kichcha Sudeep looks menacing enough for the part in Dabangg 3.
6. Action-emotion: All the Dabnagg movies can be called the “action-emotion ka shola”, a favourite jargon of the film industry over the years to define a paisa wasool masala movie. It is not all about Salman tearing off his shirt during his fights with the villain in the climax, the film also contains the right dose of emotions over family values and human relationships.
7. Item song: 'Munni Badnaam Hui' turned out to be the chartbusting item song in the original but it was Salman’s dance moves that brought the house down. 'Dabanng 3' has 'Munna Badnaam Hua', a male version of the foot-tapping number, with a young Warina Hussain of 'LoveYatri' (2018) fame replacing Malaika Arora.
8. Hype: All Salman movies make the right noises ahead of their releases but 'Dabangg' series invariably has had the extra hype, thanks to a brilliant promotional campaign spearheaded by Salman himself.
9. Supporting cast: Even though 'Dabangg' movies are all about Salman, he is always supported well by an able starcast. Even producer Arbaaz Khan as Makki manages to pass muster with the audiences.
10. Formula is different now: When most of the filmmakers have switched over to making content-rich cinema today, 'Dabangg' series follows the same, good, old formula for entertainment -- a cop-versus-goon saga of vendetta -- something that makes it stand out by default. Whether you like it or not, there is still a big audience rooting for such a larger-than-life movie.

Dr. Sudhir Giri receives “The Legend of Uttar Pradesh Award” adding another feather to his cap
Tumblr media
On 24th July 2022, a special program was organized by the News18 Network, in Lucknow. News18 TV channel UP Uttarakhand identified the names of those personalities in the program “The Legend of Uttar Pradesh”, who along with building their own identities in various arenas have also shown a new direction to society with their endeavors. All the heroes who have made outstanding contributions to the progress of the state of UP were honored at this event. The purpose of this program was to have discussions on the challenges related to the education system, health care infrastructure, and economic growth of Uttar Pradesh. As well as, to share thoughts on the changes and strategies necessary for the growth of the state. State's Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak graced the event with his presence as the chief guest. The main purpose of organizing this program was to honor 22 celebrities who have attained record-breaking achievements in various fields. To appreciate the remarkable contributions made by all the stalwarts who have touched the zenith of success with their unbreakable spirits, helping make the state of Uttar Pradesh stand out on a national level. Dr. Sudhir Giri the Honorable Chancellor Shri Venkateswara University received “The Legend of Uttar Pradesh Award”, by Mr. Brajesh Pathak. Dr. Sudhir Giri was grateful for being invited on stage in the program “Savarta Aaj, Surakshit Kal”, a program based on education and healthcare. When Dr. Sudhir Giri was asked about the vision and mission behind starting a university in a rural area, he said that the area, Gajraula, where the Shri Venkateshwara University is situated in a rural area, and Dr. Giri’s vision and mission is to take education towards the village, his aim is to provide good education to the children of the rural area. He had ventured into the domain of education, for the same reason, i.e. to provide affordable education and healthcare to the deprived and weaker sections of society. He explained the importance of the decentralization of education in rural areas. Dr. Giri has always believed that education and healthcare are the two most vital things for an individual’s growth. So many deserving students who have the capacity to take India to global heights are deprived of good education due to a lack of finances, and Dr. Giri has been trying to bridge this very gap, through his constant efforts and endeavors in the educational domain. Along with Shri Venkateshwara University, Dr. Sudhir has also established many other schools and educational institutions across the country. Another very important factor that plays a pivotal role in the development of a nation is a good healthcare system and towards this, Dr. Giri has been working tirelessly to provide good medical facilities to all, especially in the rural areas. In the last covid period, the medical staff of the Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences, a multispecialty hospital, established by Dr. Giri, did not charge anything for treatment, as a result of which, so many lives could be saved during the harrowing times of the pandemic. When the pandemic hit India, VIMS created a record by curing over 2000 corona patients during the first wave of Corona. When India was affected by the second wave, Doctors and healthcare workers worked vigorously, and as a result, VIMS was among the institutes that recorded the lowest number of deaths in the country. India administered 100 crore doses in October only because of the unstinting efforts and initiatives taken by institutes like VIMS, that acted as dedicated vaccination centers. Dr. Sudhir Giri closely monitored their functioning and constantly worked with the healthcare officials in achieving the huge target of curing 2000 Covid patients, without worrying about his own safety. Along with affordable healthcare facilities, Dr. Sudhir also gets health camps organized from time to time where patients suffering from various ailments can receive, cost-free medical facilities which are available nowadays in hospitals like ECG, Blood Tests, Maternity, Oncology, Radiotherapy, Radiology, especially to the economically weaker people of the country who can neither afford nor have any access to the basic healthcare services or information about the diseases they might be suffering with. Dr. Sudhir Giri also said that in order to make the colleges and educational institutions of Uttar Pradesh, distinguished, on a national and international level, the government must do better planning especially for the universities and medical colleges that need to be established in rural areas. He enlisted some of the basic facilities that should be provided, such as lodging and other basic amenities for teachers and doctors in medical colleges and universities, so that they can stay on campus and provide good education and medical facilities more efficiently. The event proved to be quite informative and also highlighted some of the pressing issues that need addressing in the educational and healthcare fields

Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar said. He also claimed that Karnataka became the first state in the country to achieve this feat. “We made it! It took us exactly 1 year and 7 days to achieve 100% first dose coverage! Karnataka is the first state in the country (over 4 crore adult population) to achieve this feat! Kudos to all health workers and district administration on this stellar achievement!”, Sudhakar tweeted. According to the data shared by him, Gadag district achieved 105 per cent vaccination of its eligible population with the first dose whereas inoculation coverage in Bidar, Bagalkote and Vijayapura districts, was 104 per cent of the population.
India logged 3,33,533 new coronavirus infections, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,92,37,264, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday. The active cases have increased to 21,87,205, while the death toll has climbed to 4,89,409 with 525 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated. The active cases comprise 5.57 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has decreased to 93.18 per cent, the ministry said.
The third wave of Covid-19 pandemic has likely peaked in the four largest cities in the country, with Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai seeing a decline of seven-day average of cases. However, the seven-day average was still rising in the next four biggest cities including Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Bengaluru and Ahmedabad have seen a decline in transmission with the daily cases decreasing in the past two days.
The data of Covid-19 infections suggest that the Covid caseload from the eight cities is decreasing and they are contributing lesser to the country’s tally to daily infections. With the cases still rising in the country, the caseload seems to be spreading in smaller cities and countryside.
Meanwhile, Delhi reported 45 Covid-related deaths, the highest since June 5 last year, though the positivity rate in the national capital is decreasing. The death toll on Thursday was 43.
The trend in the national capital matches with what experts have been warning that the peak of cases in the third wave will be followed by the peak of fatalities. However, the situation in the third wave will remain much better than the second wave, according to experts.
Delhi recorded 11,486 fresh cases with a positivity rate of 16.36 per cent. With the fresh coronavirus cases, the total infection tally in the national capital has risen to 17,82,514. The death toll mounted to 25,586 on Saturday.
On June 5 last year, the city had registered 60 deaths and 414 coronavirus cases, according to official data. Delhi had logged 10,756 fresh Covid cases and 38 fatalities due to the infection on Friday.
Delhi’s previous biggest daily jump of 28,395 cases was recorded on April 20 last year. Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday had asserted that the danger of Covid-19 has subsided in the national capital and the situation is “quite under control”.
