Not that we need to bring back shitty zombie media for like a 4th time but I am a little surprised we haven't had a Renaissance of post-covid zombie stories all about how the zombie apocalypse wasn't actually an apocalypse at all and everything kept going there just sometimes are dozens or even 100+ flesh eating shambling corpses that have to be dealt with, but otherwise people keep having to go to their shitty jobs and pay their rent, and people try to act like it's not still happening, or deny it happened at all, or say it happened but it wasn't so bad, or is still happening but isntsobad, or all of the above at the same time... And just the long cumulative effect of living with the ongoing not-quite-cataclysmic zombie plague

#like you get on yhe train and theres a person fucking hacking up blood woth their eyes rolling back into their head #their skin visibly rotting off their face but no ones saying anything about them so you just like get up and move to another car #you see a zombie shambling around the parking lot of the target and youre like oh fuck #so you sorta hustle to your car but then when you get inside an pull out your phone to like #call the cops or the cdc or something youve lost sight of the damn thing #so like its still out there and. learly a threat but wtf are you gonna do about it #so you just shrug to yourself and drive home #maybe some people get infected that day maybe not you never really know #you go to your cousins wedding and like half your extended family ends up zombies #so you spend the weekend gunning down the shambling corpses kf your loved ones #and after burning all your vacation days for the year taking time off to bury the dead #you go back into work a week later to find your 19yo coworker talking confidently about how he heard on a podcast #that zombies arent real and its all a government psyop to get people to take zombie virus vaccines and give them gay autism

#booked a driving test got my vaccines put in my passport checklist just ordered some chinese take away #AHHHH also I'm pissed off at the driving thing coz they said I can't do it in the town I wanted to?? Since doctors are useless after intensive research I'm putting POTS, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis and arthritis on the table and will try to test for them because I'm seriously sick of being sick! This is starting to seriously impact my life negatively...

#can barely drive without severe pain shortly after #the office is hell #facing the screen for hours on end is hell #and on days like today even laying down on my side is hell #I have 4 heat patches on #along with heat gel #all for a temporary relief #I still insist that covid and its fucking vaccine caused this #I was a model of health early 2020 #i was bragging about not even catching a cold in YEARS #this suckkkkkkksssssssss #I am complaining a lot #but the amount of discomfort I'm in is driving me slowly but surely insane

What it feels like trying to schedule the next few months

#the first one is me trying to figure out when to book appointments and who’s going to be where when #the second is what I sound like when I’m explaining to Bek my vision #between Holly and Henry both going to physiotherapy and hydrotherapy #which is a whole scheduling thing in itself trying to find appointments on the same day back to back so that we minimise the driving/petrol #said appointments also need to be outside of work times which doesn’t leave us many options #those two aside there’s also generic vet appointments for checkups and vaccinations #and Henry’s upcoming teeth extraction day #and fitting in general walks and grooming and other stuff #this isn’t even a ‘you have five dogs of course you’re busy with dog stuff’ issue like 90% of it comes back to Holly and Henry xD #Bek we need a holiday

I think my insurance plan might’ve ended coverage of the covid vaccine because cvs cancelled my vaccination appt and said it was because it wasn’t covered by insurance

My parents were not nice and didn't handle having a disabled child even remotely well, and even tho things are better between us now I still doubt their claims of unconditional love for me,

But at the very least they cared enough about me to vaccinate me against measles

#measels #anti vaxxers kiss my crohnsy ass challenge #as much as my parents are to blame for a lot of things they aren't responsible for my nearly dying of shingles at sixteen either #the chickenpox vaccine wasn't invented until after i was born and by the time it became a regularly offered recommended vax #i had already caught it bc someone thought it was o.k to send their obviously poxxed child to daycare anyway when i was ten #it was mild then but fast-forward 6 years later my immune system collapses and I'm 2 hours 2 death by the time the hospital admits me #and my hometown hospital wouldn't even let me into the e.r with 'just chickenpox' so we had to drive 2 hours to Indy's children's hospital #where i must repeat they told my mom had she just waited another two hours to make the drive i would have been D.O.A #anyway #vaccinate your kids #measles

I really hate the people who choose to come into the office when they are ill.

The company I work for are really good about flexible working and working from home, but there are still people who will come into work sick and then proceed to spread it around the office

Thanks to them, I have covid again

#it drives me up a wall #when I’m sick I basically hole myself up and avoid everyone #I’m fully vaccinated and do everything I can to avoid getting sick only for someone at work to come in and cough all over me
