Could you do headcannons for both sfw and nsfw showering with Chishiya? :3
The Water's Just Right
Summary: Showering headcanons for our favorite snarky boy
Genre: fluff, smut, gn! reader
Note: Oh yeah, I'm back again! I've been gone for so long because of college, but I'm here again to revive the aib fandom >:3 also my first time writing headcannons. :DDD I think I got carried away sjjsjs
☄. *. ⋆ sfw
ok let's start with headcannons for the real world
as a doctor, he mainly takes quick showers
contrary to popular belief, i feel like he enjoys hot showers over cold ones. like he's already going to be stressed because of work, so might as well have at least one part of his day be a little relaxing
the only time you can take joint showers with him is during his off-days or if you stay up long enough to catch him coming home
he doesn't like it when you do the latter option because he firmly believes you should take care of yourself and sleep early
even though he runs on 3 hours of sleep maximum every day
he lets you wash his hair after initially (and weakly) refusing
you definitely use scented shampoo on him (strawberry because he thinks floral scents are too strong)
he prefers subtle scents because the hospital is already filled with strong odors.
he'll never admit he likes it when you wash his hair, especially when you massage his scalp
"did you purr a little?"
"I think you need your hearing checked."
loves it when you run your hands up and down his back
you mainly use showering as an excuse to dote on him
likes kissing your neck while you attempt to lather soap on him
random but he installed a non-slip mat on the floor because he doesn't want the two of you to get into any accidents
likes playing with your hair by gathering soap bubbles and dumping them on you
you don't point this out because you're scared he'll withdraw from letting himself be a kid for once
sometimes when it's been a rough day, he lets you hold him in the shower for a moment
just letting the warm water wash away his stress while he melts into your arms
he used to skip lotion until you started putting it on him
he got used to it after that and subconsciously started integrating it into his routine
honestly before you came along, had the worst skincare routine ever
"That's... that's not how you put on facial wash. You need to wash your face with it for at least a minute."
"I'm not a dermatologist, y/n."
"You don't need to be to know that???"
In the borderlands, it's basically the same but without the luxury of proper skin products.
always ALWAYS showers after games
he hates the ick from going outside and keeps himself sane by maintaining cleanliness
surprisingly, he's more forward with asking you to join him
in the real world, you're the one who always asks for permission, but now he always looks for your presence
especially since he knows you could be gone any day
"Do you want to join me?"
"Didn't the heater system break down?"
"I fixed ours. The water's just right."
☄. *. ⋆ nsfw
remember that non-slip mat?
oh yeah, that was definitely for this occasion
he doesn't like lifting you up because again, safety first
prefers standing positions where he can press you up against the wall.
LOVES LOVES LOVES FOGGING UP THE GLASS
he doesn't pull your hair because he knows it'll be prone to breakage
he's such a nerd about bodily care except for when it comes to himself.
holds your neck instead and uses it as leverage to pound into you
either that or he digs his fingers into your hips so he can grind his cock inside you.
makes it his goal to make you squirt at least once
OK THIS IS MY PERSONAL HEADCANNON
it may be because of the tight space, or the bathroom acoustics, or the added privacy
but this man is definitely louder in the shower
you love sucking him off because of this
deep moaning, swearing, whimpering when you're being a little shit and you overstimulate him
plays with your chest a lot because he likes how slippery the soap makes it
LISTEN
also installed a detachable showerhead ;)))

antidote | chishiya shuntaro
Summary: A doctor is a lifeline. In the Jack of Hearts game, Chishiya strives to be yours.
yeah, i took the physician reveal and ran with it. i tried to get into his head to portray him as well as i could in writing this and accidentally fell head over heels. let me know if i did him justice? warnings: large helpings of anxiety, chishiya-esque emotional manipulation, though affectionate. mentions of sex, fwb setup, my attempt at sounding medically educated. word count: 2741 requested by: anon (thank you so much for this brilliant idea, i loved getting stuck into it. i don’t write smut, but i hope this still gets you a little riled.) written by: archie support me on ko-fi
It’s human nature to fuck up. He should’ve known to expect it from you.
It was beginning to wear him down, your constant knee bouncing and nail biting since the third hour of this game. All he needed to do was watch. He was wildly curious to see how this would all play out, and he knew he was safe. Knew you were safe.
All things considered, it was a low-risk game: only trust was required, and he’d scored that easily by taking you under his wing. However, The idea of the Jack of Hearts was a poison injected into the bloodstream of the prison’s population. The symptoms of distrust and paranoia would migrate through the ranks, and the masses would spiral and die.
It was a simple game. The key was to not let your protector get infected.
But the symptoms were visibly taking a hold of you. The cafeteria table shook with your anxious tics, the water in your bottle sloshing enough to disrupt his attention on the surrounding cafeteria. He wouldn’t complain though. You weren’t annoying, no, but you could soon put him on edge if he let you spiral like this, and then he’d be infected too.
“Chishiya,” you called softly, clearly nervous to disrupt his spectating.
He didn’t tear his eyes from the scheming girl in the dress. She was particularly interesting in this setting; and by his deductions, not likely to be the Jack. “Hm?”
Your voice came meeker than normal. “What’s my suit again?”
He turned slowly, a brow quirked over a relaxed eye as he finally gave you his attention. “You forgot?”
“No. Just tell me.”
He sighed silently through his nose, calculating your thoughts. To ask this after he’d told you twice already, you must’ve been anxious about one of two things. One, that your addled mind would fool you into speaking the wrong suit. Or two, that you couldn’t trust him.
“Heart,” was all he said.
And you nodded. Your eyes hardened, clearly visualising the shape before your eyes. ‘Heart,’ he could practically see your mind reciting. ‘Heart.’
Or… Was that a calculating look? He flexed his jaw. Were you possibly tallying up the likelihood that he’d lied to you?
He focused on the accidental downturn of his lips. He shouldn’t be double reading you like that - his own intuition was the only concrete thing he had. He’d never been wrong before. He’d kept the both of you alive for this long based on his skill alone, and he’d not let your lives slip away in a measly Jack’s game.
With a slow blink, he made the conscious choice not to chip away at his own trust in himself, as was undeniably the Jack’s aim in this game.
Chishiya’s gaze lowered to where your fingertips danced on the tabletop. A heart shape. Over and over. Frantic, disturbed. You were slipping.
Against his better judgement, he reached out a hand to clasp over your fingers, quietly amused when those sweet, round eyes fixed on his face. You were so scared, so anxious, and the part inside of him that felt for you lit a soft smile on his lips.
You’d never been good at heart games with that anxious disposition, but that was why he’d kept you by his side. You were an easy window into the minds of his surroundings with how easily he could read you. Your distress on the outside showed blatantly the fear of the people in this game. Everyone under the roof would be feeling it. Even the Jack… Especially the Jack.
Chishiya had found you early on in the games-- only the two of you had survived the Six of Hearts. You were entirely integral to his methods of survival that day, so he stole you away to the Beach and was sure to never let you have a game without him. Losing you as the key to his readings would surely damn him someday. Yet somewhere along the line, he grew… fond.
It must’ve been your consistent proximity, he’d reasoned at first. How your constant being around became a sense of ‘normal’ for both he and Kuina, how your raw, unapologetic humanity was a refreshing shift in his life, how you were a brilliant vessel in the games.
He’d protect you, and you’d provide him the opposite perspective as the control in his readings where everyone else was the variable. The perfect symbiotic relationship in this land.
And perhaps that may have been the case. Perhaps that was the foundation for which he felt appreciative of you, the foundation for a so-called friendship. But it didn’t explain how you’d developed into more for him.
His hold on your fingers tightened, gaze fixed on them as he recalled how they’d thread through his hair, night after night. How they’d unzip his hoodie at the Beach. How they’d scramble to tug the sheets over your naked body when a militant barged through the unlockable door to call him into an executive meeting. He couldn’t help the huff of amusement at the thought. Your eyes were as sweet and panicked then as they were now.
But it wasn’t the same. There, you had the safety of the blankets in his room. A sanctuary. Here, you must’ve felt so exposed to the Jack’s poison. Knee bouncing beneath the table and water bottle gripped tight in one hand, what he could swear was a thin sheen of sweat over your skin. You were really losing your nerve, and he needed to be your antidote.
“Follow me,” he murmured, his interest in the room’s population dissipated. With a gentle nod in a moment of reassurance, he let go of your fingers to let you take up your bottle of water and led you from the cafeteria.
His hands burrowed into his pockets as he walked. He took his slow time, sure to register his surroundings in his peripherals even as he gazed straight ahead, effortless as ever.
Your distinct footsteps followed close behind, audibly unsure and glancing around to the others as you tagged along. He knew you had no clue yet. You were playing it blind and suffering for it.
He took you aside into one of the prison’s meeting rooms where once upon a time, a board of directors would’ve gathered. They’d have administered handfuls of men’s fates, and they’d have considered them less than rats. Now this was where Chishiya would administer your own fate, purely because he held you dear.
He opened a palm to gesture to the end of the table. “Take a seat,” he spoke, ever relaxed, and watched you hop up onto the end of the table. It was rickety, chairs kicked and strewn about, the room only lit by the game-master’s searchlights that shone into the windows.
You looked far from comfortable perched up there, the glare lighting half of your face, and he found himself silent. He just looked at you for a moment. How beautiful you were.
He’d noticed many times, of course. The flutter of your lashes as you looked over his features in a fruitless attempt to read his face. Your parted lips channelling the oxygen that fuelled your body, though your lungs delivered it all shaky and uneven. You were stunning to him, even in the worst of times. Even when you were drenched in the crimson of lives you outlived.
But… There was something in this moment. Something about how right now, he was your lifeline. He held that beautiful existence in his hands and this time, he had the power to choose his method of helping. No supervisors to end your life with a swift letter, no list of priority to bump you down. Or at least, you were the priority.
“What is it?” You jerked him from his thoughts, your ankle bouncing once more where it swung below the table. “Chishiya?”
He gifted you a smile, but it didn’t soothe you.
Your eyes narrowed instead. “What are you hiding from me?”
A soft hum of laughter as he took slow, deliberate steps closer until he stood directly before you. A pinkness on your neck caught his eye and his head tipped in curiosity. He reached to slip a finger into your collar, lips pursed in question as he felt the irritated heat of your skin underneath. “Mm? Do you have a latex allergy?”
“Lat-? No.”
He pulled gently on the band at your neck, stepping even closer to peer at the line of irritation from the garment. It wasn’t until he finally removed his hold that he noted the moisture on his finger-- your sweat. The salt must have caught in the material and rubbed you raw, leading to irritation and the slightest blood spots beneath your skin.
“You’ve been pulling at the collar.”
“It’s tighter than when we started.”
Chishiya knew that wasn’t true. His was perfectly fine - comfortable, even - but he didn’t give a thought to argue. Your stress was having physical implications, making everything even worse for you. Anxiety really is a bitch, he mused.
“Water.” He held a hand out to the bottle and you placed it in his palm. His eyes fixed on yours as he opened it up-- and only at this point did he realise quite how close he was.
Your knees put a comfortable, familiar pressure on either side of his hips, his face uncommonly close to yours without the presence of a bed, but he had no intention of moving. He just took the space and owned it, relishing in the slightest hue of red that dusted your cheek, sure to notice it deepen as he raised your chin between his finger and thumb, guiding you to lift your face.
“This will be cold,” was all the warning he gave before trickling the water down your neck.
You hissed and jerked back, likely from the cold or the sting of the freshwater on your salted wounds. “Shit, Chishiya.”
He simply chuckled inwardly, lips hitched in a humoured smirk as he rinsed your skin. He let the little stream of water run across your throat, taking his time to work towards your other ear. His touch on your chin remained delicate as a doctor’s touch, directing you to look the other way for his ease.
This intimacy, he pondered. So rare in the home world. It was one thing to be a physician in a hospital, and another to use basic, opportunistic materials to heal someone who depended on him so wholly. A patient may fight to survive on their own accord, but here, in this game, with you… Everything rode on his word, on his actions. Everything.
A strange magnetism in his chest drew him ever closer to your skin, until his lips soon met the human warmth beneath your ear. It was a slow kiss, tender and deliberate, and he relished in how your body naturally leant into his.
His closed eyes let him hone on the quickened beat of your pulse, the ghost of a thrum against his lips. Your blood pumped the cortisol of your anxiety through the roof, and he remembered his mission to bring it back down, to calm you. He clung to this as a reason to retract from you. If this reaction was from his unsolicited affection, he should know better than to drive your adrenaline too high.
“Don’t touch it anymore,” he prescribed, voice level and cool, giving no hint as to how hard it was to lean back from you. “The irritation will lessen and you can focus more.”
“I don’t know what the hell I’m focusing on,” you spat in a whisper, uncommonly callous with your words despite the pink to your cheeks as you watched him close the bottle cap once more. He’d seen you panic before in many a heart’s game, but not like this, not after his sparing affection. This game really was frying your nerves.
“Focus on keeping your head,” he murmured, the slightest snort slipping out after. “In every sense of the word.”
“Shut the fuck up, Chishiya.”
It was endlessly amusing to see you like this. The fire that came from your lips right now had never been rivalled before, and any regret he’d had at choosing a Heart’s game for you quickly dissipated. Fascinating to see you lose your mind.
But, he couldn’t toy with you too far. He allowed you to hear his chuckle, low and rumbling in his chest, only audible with the proximity he kept. “Sincerely. Focus on staying calm. All you need to do is trust me.”
“Not so easy in a place like this.”
He took the chance to look surprised. This was his opening to seal any of his own concerns about you. “You think I’d feed you the wrong suit?”
He paid careful attention to how you hesitated, watching the thoughts dance their patterns behind your eyes. You were looking at him without seeing him, close enough that he could see his reflection in your irises. Calculations, calculations, ones that you so visibly struggled to work out. Would he dare tell you the wrong suit? Would it be out of choice or pre-emptive, lest you try to end him first, purely because you’d worried?
Moments passed, and the longer it went on, the more his worries tugged at his thoughts. He needed to prove himself to you to save his own skin. Both of your skins.
His hands settled lightly on your lower thighs, set snug on either side of his hips, and he gave a reassuring squeeze. “You don’t need to worry,” he murmured, voice low and soothing as butter on a wound, “We’ll survive this together.”
That endearing little tug between your brows encouraged him on, and he couldn’t help but take your chin in his hold again. To hold that sweet face, so trusting, so impressionable. He watched the hope shine in your features before turning your face the slightest degree, exposing your ear once more, to which he leant in. His breath just tickled your lobe as his nose nudged on your shell, words slow and deliberate. “I know who the Jack is.”
The change in your body language was instant. You jumped back to peer at his face, brows high and eyes wide, no longer slouched and dejected. Your hand gripped at his white jacket, fisted into the fabric to keep him close as you murmured, “Really?”
A slow nod. Relaxed eyes and knowing smirk shone in the searchlight, and he planned his next words carefully. He didn’t want you to know who his suspects were, in case you gave anything away and steered the game from its natural course. “I have two suspects, it’s just down to seeing which fails first.”
The elation in his chest at seeing your relief was disorienting. The way you sighed out with almost a laugh, head thrown back to let it escape you… It was an image he wouldn’t forget for a long time. The serenity of his antidote, saving you from the Jack’s poison.
His brows shot up as you snatched his shoulders into a tight, relieved hold, thighs tight on his waist and arms looped around his neck. Your face pressed into the junction of his shoulder, nestled against his hair. “Thank fuck,” you breathed, edging on tears. “You worked it out? I should’ve known. I should’ve!”
He didn’t say anything, only astounded that you might be so liberal in your affections outside his hotel room. But then, he did bridge that gap first. And there were no regrets. He allowed himself to indulge in it, his own arms finding their home around your waist and his nose in your hair. Of course it was a trick of psychological conditioning, but if he focused just right, he could almost smell the residue of chlorine from the days at the Beach.
He indulged in splaying a hand across your back, rubbing soothing circles over your form. This body… He knew the ins and outs of it. He knew where every mole dotted your skin, he could estimate the length of your lower ribs without flaw. His thumb pressed slow pulses in the flesh between the back of your ribs, imagining that he’d place his stethoscope there.
What a sound he’d hear. Each breath, the source of your survival.
Would it be too arrogant to consider himself such a thing too?

Candy Sushi
Chishiya Shuntarō x reader
Come on, it’ll be fun!
Fluff
“Chishi.” I tugged lightly on his white jacket that I held between my fingers.
He let out an annoyed sigh, too tired to tell me not to call him that… Again.
“If you’re going to ask me about the others, they’re fine.” He said.
“But…” I thought back to the last time we saw our group of friends. The grenade that separated us and the King Of Spades chasing after them, “What if something happened? What if the King of Spades got them?”
“Perhaps.” His response left the uneasy feeling in my stomach to grow.
“This is my fault.” I clenched his jacket tighter, “If I only ran faster or had thrown that stupid grenade towards the king then maybe-”
“What’s done is done. You can’t change the past, but you can save yourself for a future.” He glanced at me, “I need you to focus on now so that the two of us have a chance out of here.”
I took in the heaviness of his words and straightened myself up. I gave him a firm nod, “You’re right.”
“Hello! Would you like to be in our group?” And thus began the game of hearts.
With a cheery voice I rarely hear from Chishiya he agreed, “Of course!” He said and I knew he had a plan.
An hour passed with round one being a breeze. Everyone seemed to trust each other… That is until Banda.
“The Jack wouldn’t be stupid enough to jump start the anxiety of the players like this…” I whispered to Chishiya, “Why does he look familiar?” I wondered.
“He murdered four women. It was on the news.” Chishiya answered.
He watched Banda closely, an uneasy feeling in his stomach as Banda stared at his friend. At least you can’t murder anyone outside of lying about their suits.
“A murderer?” My eyes widened as I looked at Banda only to find him already looking, “He’s looking… Now he’s waving? Why is he waving?” I stepped closer to Chishiya.
“Seems like you have a new admirer.” Was all he said.
“Hey!” I whispered lighting punching his side, “Wait, a new one? When did I have an old one?” I wondered.
Chishiya didn’t answer, “Let’s go.” towards a room stocked with food that could last us months if need be. The Jack of Hearts really did plan for everything… But who could that be?
My gaze lingered on each player here, but it was still too big of a group to tell.
“So much food…” My stomach growled at the rows of snacks that filled the room.
Chishiya chuckles, “Take whatever you want. We’ll be here a while.”
I grabbed anything and everything that was strawberry flavored and a box of Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ Sushi DIY Candy set before quickly making my way towards Chishiya who sat a little away from our so called group. My attention focused on the man and woman who has been attached by the hip since we got here. The woman was practically draping on him like a blanket.
“I’ve always wanted to try one of these.” I smiled, my facing lighting up at such a childish thing.
Chishiya made a face at the box, “Those are disgusting.”
I gasped, “You’ve tried one of these before?”
“When I was younger.” He answered.
“Well then that means you just have to make one again. Just to be sure.” I smiled, pushing the box in between us.
“No thanks.” He said plainly as he took a bite of his cookie.
“The only thing that I’m hearing from you is excitement.” I stated as I opened the box.
Chishiya rolled his eyes, but indulged me none the less. He shoulder pressed against mine as I read the instructions out loud. He found it amusing and in a way cute at how I was so involved in such a trivial thing when they were literally fighting to stay alive.
“I can just show you.” He murmured and I almost said yes from that low tone of voice lulling me to do whatever he wanted. That is until he said, “It’s pretty easy.”
I tilted my head towards him, our noses almost brushing as I raised an eyebrow, “You don’t think I can do it?”
His smirk only egged me on and it was then I realized how close we were.
I blushed, turning my head back to the Candy as I passed him the tools and ingredients to make the salmon roe sushi and the tuna sushi, “Alright, Chishi. Bake off. Whoever makes the best candy sushi wins.”
“Why can’t I have the chirashi sushi?” He asked as if he were five.
“Because it kinda sounds like your name so it’s mine.” I stated without thinking.
“My name is yours?” He teased.
I stuttered over my words before settling on a, “Shut up.”
He raised his arms up in mock surrender before starting on his half of the Candy sushi. There was a calming silence as we worked on making something that would probably taste like artificial flavors and childhood dreams, but getting to do something like this with him… It made my chest ache in the possibility of a future more than friendship between us.
I giggled lightly as he snagged one of my strawberry pocky’s, already done with his sushi.
I stared at them in amazement, “How…?” I glanced over to my chirashi sushi that looked as if it were falling apart. “How did you make it so perfect?”
He glanced at the Candy sushi with mild disinterest, “I’m good with my hands.”
“Apparently. What were you before all this? A surgeon?” I joked as I finished up my tuna roll.
“Doctor actually.”
I didn’t respond, focusing intently on my Candy as warmth filled my stomach at the thought. How did he possibly get even more attractive?
Chishiya seemed to figure out my thoughts, “Hm… That’s interesting.”
I looked to him confused, “What is?”
“You’re tuna looks more like slime.” He commented.
I laughed at the sight because it did in fact look like slime, “Well it seems that you win on the pretty factor… But! There is still the taste factor.” I handed him the chirashi roll and grabbed the salmon roe that he made.
“Ready to be blasted with your childhood?” I asked as I turned my body to face him, wanting to see his reaction up close.
“Absolutely not.” He answered, but took a bite anyways.
I took a bite just as he did, taking in all of the flavors only to find out… I didn’t like it.
“Mm.” I hummed while making an interesting face.
“You hate it.” He commented a subtle smirk growing because he was right.
“No!” I refused as I tried to swallow it, “It’s just interesting that’s all.”
Chishiya scoffed, “Whatever you say.”
It was a full minute before I broke, spitting the candy into a napkin, “I hate it.”
“I know.” He stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“How did you ever eat this stuff? It tastes so…” I trailed off, not knowing the correct word.
“Artificial.” He answered for me.
I nodded as I took a drink of water before reaching over him to take one of his cookies.
“See you’ve gone for the better choice.” He pushed the bag closer to me.
“I won’t tell you that you are right.” I huffed, nudging him, “Your head would probably explode…” My fantasy suddenly came to an end as I realized where we were, “I… I’m sorry.”
He stared at me for a moment, noticing the quick change in my mood, “Why should you be?” He asked as he took another bite of the sushi I made.
A surprised look made it’s way onto my face, “You just took another bite!”
He shrugged, “You made it for me.” He said as he finished both candy sushi rolls.
“Oh…” I breathed out.
I felt myself swooning over his words and the way his stuffed cheeks made him look like a chipmunk.
The words came suddenly without any thought, “I love you.”
He raised his eyebrow at me as he waited for me to elaborate, chewing slowly.
My cheeks felt like they were on fire as I gaped at him, “I mean! I think I love stew- yeah stew! Warm stew with some bread, yum!” I was floundering now and it wasn’t until he gently grabbed my hand under the table that I finally stopped talking.
I waited patiently for him to say something… Anything. Just to know if my feelings were reciprocated or not, only for him to say something that made me smile and roll my eyes all the same.
“Took you long enough.” Chishiya stated, a knowing look in his eyes.

Tik tok. Chishiya's feline like gaze watches the orange glow on the back of the blinds as the sun sets. SOON THE GAMES WILL START. He doesn't need to play, but he will. Maybe there will be something more interesting this time than the last time he played.
Chishiya slides his gaze towards the man in front of him; SOMETHING about him is intriguing though he can't pinpoint exactly why. Yet. He's intriguing enough that the elusive diamonds player decides to keep company before the night games start tonight. CURIOSITY HAS NEVER KILLED THIS CAT. And in a life where Chishiya's constantly bored, he likes to pursue the few things that have his interest until they lose it.
For someone in a place where death is always near, Chishiya doesn't look the slightest bit bothered. His hands rest in his hoodie pockets and he lifts his eyebrows slightly. " NOSTALGIA makes people see things in rose-tinted glasses. " He remarks - not insulting, merely observational. His lips curve upwards. " Besides, I was never big on watching television or video games. I mostly read textbooks and studied. "
He leans back a bit further in his chair and spares a brief glance to the clock. " I think Carpe Noctem might be a better phrase here. The days aren't as big of a deal - but when the GAMES start is when the interesting things begin. " Which is an INTERESTING way to put death games that left most people shivering in fear or chasing down ways to ignore the impending games if they had to play. " I hope they'll be more interesting this time. The last one I played was boring. " Nevermind that he'd been the SOLE SURVIVOR.
@sharpsuite asked: ❛ this day feels like it’s never gonna end. ❜ 𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑶𝑴 𝑫𝑰𝑨𝑳𝑶𝑮𝑼𝑬 𝑺𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑬𝑵𝑪𝑬 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑬𝑹𝑺 𝑷𝑻. 𝑰 (accepting)
Sam sits deep enough so that the back of his chair slants. The hour encroaches slowly towards night, and though the blinds are drawn, he can well imagine that the sun has started to slither down past the concrete city and behind the dead, empty streets.
This man with his long, bleached hair and too-cool-for-school look— Sam actually wishes, really, that the power worked. He’d charge his phone. He’d catch something on TCM. Turn on the radio.
“You should’ve seen it back when. You guys- sure, you have your computers and your smartphones—power to you—but the golden days? I’m talking wallball, 25-cent comics, and this little thing I like to call” —he holds up his hands. He waits for it— “soul-searching.”
Clever. Sam keeps his elbows on the desk. A battery-powered clock still ticks, counting down the seconds. All of this to say—
“Two words.” Sam smiles. “Carpe diem.”
Life is what you make it and seize the day. Or as much as a death-trap city will let you.
#samuhelll#sounds good to me ! :D#he's not wrong he is in fact bored#THE BACK IN MY DAY SPEECH LMAO#Chishiya just vaguely amused by it tbh#esp since he's not a HUGE tech person#outside of medical tech that he is#01. IN CHARACTER — CHISHIYA#V1. DEFAULT VERSE — CHISHIYA

੭୧ chishiya with a reader with adhd... . ۫
chishiya shuntaro x gn!reader (requested)
— warnings: fluffy, reader and chishiya are in a relationship, beach arc, maybe ooc chishiya...
— summary: chishiya's incredibly high patience seems to be the perfect match for his super active partner <3
— word count: 1k
to put it simply, you were an outcast among other players at the beach.
people around you would either wonder how you were still alive, while others tried to actively befriend you so later you would suffice as bait on a specially harder game, from the way you acted so naive around others. you didn't take long to become aware of that, since you've never been in a hotel with so many ears.
thankfully, you had chishiya by your side. and while some concluded that you were only alive due to your boyfriend's aid, it seemed like his interest in you was elsewhere.
it was true that you could get easily distracted from the point of a game and almost cause a big disaster, but this also happened to be a quality for you.
you would pay most attention to stuff that others might consider useless in a moment of desperation, such as fighting for their lives; however, it wasn't unusual for that same stuff to define the difference between living and dying.
observing the littlest of details in a wicked place like the borderlands was a big advantage for you, and perhaps that was the reason you managed to survive all the time. unfortunately, most people didn't realize that, and you ended up just staying inside chishiya's shadow. not that you really cared; you preferred to stay in your own little world.
now, with chishiya's knowledge of the medical field, he resonated with your keen observations. it didn't take long for him to conclude that your hyperactivity didn't come from anything else other than a probable case of adhd. it was never declared between both of you whether you were diagnosed or not, but he didn't need a confirmation to know how to deal with your personality.
chishiya was a very calm person, if not the calmest you've ever met. his patience and your sensitivity worked well together. while he got to have a very smart partner, in their own ways, you got to have someone to listen to your ted talks and bring you back to the world when needed.
he isn't sure when and how he fell for you. that was something he didn't dwell a lot on, deciding to simply accept his feelings and be glad they were reciprocated.
but for some reason, he could not take his eyes off of your figure. for example, as you excitedly ran around a store you practically begged him to visit. it made it even better that you were both in the borderlands, which meant no one else was there but you both and an occasional sound of air hitting the windows.
"look, look! that's what i was telling you about earlier." you said excitedly, dropping whatever you were looking at before on the ground and practically running to the other side to look at the thing that caught your eye.
chishiya didn't even realize he had a small smirk on his face, bending over with a sigh to pick up the item you left and placing it back on the spot. he always hated messes, but he didn't feel the necessity to tell you that.
he walked towards wherever you went, hands inside his pockets, as he stared at you with practically stars in your eyes.
if he looked outside, he would notice the sun already starting to set, and since you were still stuck in the borderlands, soon everything would become dark due to the lack of electricity.
"we should get going soon; it's getting late." he decided to inform already. it wasn't going to be pitch dark until about 40 minutes, but he would rather tell you now so that you could process everything in your mind instead of when it's actually late.
"'shiya, look," you said more silently this time, already forgetting about what you were holding before and now pointing to a pile of books. "i love this series! we should take some home and read together."
"we should..." he replied with that calm voice of his, which was basically therapy for you.
by the time you both arrived back at the beach and in your shared room, it was already dead of night. you heard chishiya place the three shopping bags full of collectibles that interested you in a corner of the room.
he could tell you were tired by this time of the day, as the first thing you did was change into comfier clothes, lie down on the king-sized bed, and close your eyes for some moments without any energy to even have fun with your newly found collection.
chishiya admired you for a few moments. something about seeing you so serene made him feel better immediately, given that falling asleep was always trouble for you.
he soon changed as well, lying in bed beside you. chishiya was never one for physical contact, and you knew that. most nights you spent together were made just lying down next to each other, comforted by the fact that both were there.
however, you suddenly felt an arm envelop your waist, pulling you considerably closer to his body. you lied still for a few seconds until he spoke up. "is this okay?"
you felt like you should be the one asking, but since he was reaching out, you simply reciprocated his touch. nodding your head as you lied on his chest.
most nights were trouble for you, especially since the beach is a very noisy place that disturbs the rest of many. you were no different. during moments where it was specifically worse, you would toss and turn on the bed until chishiya eventually noticed and intervened by holding you close, since it seemed to always calm you down. it made you feel warm inside, knowing he was willing to bypass his boundaries for your comfort.
you were lucky to have someone patient and understanding like him in your life. and he wouldn't trade you for anything.
— a/n: waaa this was so cute.... i'm sorry if it's shorter than my past fics i feel like the fluffiness burned my brain out mmghhh (๑>◡<๑) i hope you guys enjoyed it... it's the first time i'm posting proper fluff here and i tried to focus on it a bit more rather than chishiya's constant teasing. i still think he's a menace tho !!!! sorry if this has any mistake btw... i could barely proofread it's late rn but i'll check in the morning <:

—fixer upper. | alice in borderland chishiya shuntarō x reader.
you were shot. he helped you not bleed out to death. | set in s2 beginning of king of spades.
CHISHIYA WAS CUNNING AND SELF-PRESERVING. While it would've slightly hurt your feelings if he had left you, it would be very much in-character of him.
He cussed when the first spray of bullets was fired, finding cover. You cussed seconds later, leaning against a pillar, your hand hovering over a fresh bullet wound just above your hip bone.
"Fuck," you repeatedly said, trying to stay calm despite the adrenaline pumping through you. You needed to think of the different ways you could get to safety, away from the gun-crazed maniac.
"Can you move?" Chishiya asked, noticing the blooming blood on your jacket.
You closed your eyes, the pain was starting to sink in. "You go. I'll wait for the shooter to walk past and make a run for it."
He said nothing and for a terrible second, you thought you were actually alone. Having been in the Beach for quite a while, you weren't used to isolation. Your eyes shot open when you felt someone grab your hand.
"Can you walk?" He asked again, slinging your arm over his shoulders.
You stare at him blankly for a second. He asked again, with an annoyed click of his tongue. "Can you walk or not?"
"I can try," you answered, hobbling along the sidewalk with the silver-haired man. You hissed and cursed every time he pulled or pushed you swiftly to take cover.
"You're regretting it, huh? Should've left me," you teased, watching him as he frowned with effort.
"Stop talking and move faster."
Finally, he ducked under an apothecary, pulling you inside with him, waddling as far away from the doors and windows as possible. You hid behind the cash register counter while gunshots rang over and over again outside. Until, eventually the sound got quieter and disappeared.
Chishiya peeked over the counter. Still quiet. He gingerly stood up and walked quietly over around the counter.
"I have the shittiest luck," you complained. "Can't even die from the shot. Now I have to sit here and bleed to death in pain."
"On the contrary, I think your luck is keeping you alive," he replied, shuffling about between the shelves.
You shrugged, not that Chishiya could see it. "Maybe I'm lucky to be stuck with you then."
It was silent for a second and two and five.
"Are you—"
You interrupted him, "Because you're a med student! I didn't mean to make it weird."
"You remembered," he said, putting a handful of supplies next to you. Gauze, anesthetic, antiseptics. Sat facing you, Chishiya put on a pair of latex gloves.
"Take off your jacket."
"Huh?"
Still as expressionless as ever, he tugged on the bottom hem of your jacket. "Off."
You slid down the zipper awkwardly. Chishiya was completely professional while dressing your wound. You were staring at him, shamelessly, as his blood-slicked hand pressed against your torso.
Were his lashes always this long?
Chishiya knew he should have left you. Your plan most likely would have worked, assuming the shooter was trying to rack up as many victims as they could, you would've been safe hiding until they walked past.
However, seeing the blood slicking your clothes, he could feel himself tensing. He couldn't leave this to a probability. A dozen different scenarios went through his head—all of them with you, dead. At that moment, his caution was thrown in the wind. You couldn't die. Not there, not then.
He was so used to having you around him that the thought of you dying never really crossed his mind. Would he simply go on? Would he grieve? He didn't want to dwell on the thought. This was the one thing he didn't mind not knowing—what he would do after you.
"You'll be fine," Chishiya said finally, security the bandage around your torso. "Rest up."
"I'm fine now," you said stubbornly. You tried to push yourself off of the ground, but the room spun around you. You fell, lying down on the floor with your hand on your eyes, groaning.
"You lost a lot of blood. Get some rest."
When you woke up much later, there were a fresh, clean jacket, a bottle of water, and a couple cans of food by your side.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.

Can you do a fluff promt #24 on the second list with chishiya? I love that man sm so it would be nice!
thank you so much for requesting! 🫶
also it's literally 5 in the morning i just woke up im sorry if this is terrible
— SAFE WITH YOU
chishiya shuntaro (alice in borderland) x gn!reader
genre: fluff
summary: fluff prompt ("you're safe here with me. nobody's going to harm you ever again.") from my 2.5k event
warnings: language
after waiting for chishiya outside of the king of diamonds, he appeared to be different. you couldn't pinpoint how exactly, but you were sure that something happened in that game that resulted in him being different towards you, as if he out of nowhere started caring about your opinions and life. the two of you walked in silence as you held the umbrella above both of you due to the rain that was progressively getting worse as time went on.
until he finally spoke.
"what do you think about the value of a human life?"
"what?" you question, turning your head to look over at him.
"i didn't realize it before but, i think of it differently now," he says, looking forward at the buildings.
"what do you mean?" you said, a confused look on your face.
"i mean-"
he was interrupted by a gunshot echoing throughout the city, and when he turned to look at you, you were suddenly on the ground, grasping your side. chishiya's eyes widened ever so slightly as he quickly looked around to see who had fired that shot, and his gaze turned dark when he spotted niragi down the road.
"shit," he cursed under his breath, crouching down beside you. "y/n, y/n, can you hear me?"
"yeah," you nodded, wincing in pain as you held the wound, your eyes closed with your head on the cement.
"i'm going to get you out of here, okay?" he says, a bit of nervousness in his voice you'd never heard before. "c'mon, i'm going to pick you up and we're going to run, alright?"
"okay," you answer, nodding your head again.
chishiya carefully scooped you into his arms, carrying you bridal style and hearing another shot fire. he quickly started running in no particular direction, knowing niragi would follow him, occasionally glancing down at you to make sure you were still alive.
he turned and went into a building, shutting the door behind him and glancing around to see what was in there. an office building. he went down the hall and opened the door to one of the offices, going to the corner and laying you down on the ground.
you had passed out by now, and the blood was seeping through your clothes onto the floor beneath you, and he knew he had to do something fast or else you wouldn't make it. he went through the whole building grabbing items and first aid supplies that would help, and when he returned, he sat in front of you and stared for a moment.
"this is going to sting," he says, putting some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel he found and pressing it onto your wound.
you awoke with a sharp gasp, sitting up and letting out a yelp before chishiya pushed you back down onto your back.
"lay down," he tells you. "i'm trying to make sure you don't die on me."
you laid back down without a response, trying not to think about the words he said to you. this was definitely different. in the whole year you had known this man, he comes out different because of a damned killing game. you don't know what happened in that venue, but you don't really want to know either. you sat in silence as he carefully fixed you up with the limited materials he had gathered in the building, occasionally looking over at him to see how he looked. his eyebrows were furrowed together slightly in focus of stitching the wound closed, and his eyes had a new look in them, one you couldn't quite figure out.
"there, all done," he suddenly speaks, knocking you out of your thoughts.
"thank you," you mutter, slowly sitting up to lean against the wall.
"don't thank me," chishiya shook his head.
leaning your head against the wall, you let out a long sigh. "how much longer do we have to be here?"
"supposedly there's only two more games left," he answered, sitting down next to you. "one is the king of spades, which i've heard is simply a man running around killing all of us."
"great," you mumble. "let's hope he doesn't find us here, then. otherwise i'm done for," you speak quietly.
"don't worry," chishiya shakes his head. "you're safe here with me. nobody's going to harm you ever again."
you look over at him in subtle shock at his words, and judging by his expression, he was shocked by his own words. "thank you," you say quietly.
"don't thank me," he repeats what he said earlier. "i've just come to realize the value of a human life, and you're the most important person in my life."
you almost couldn't believe the words coming from his mouth. was this really happening? did he mean what he was saying, or was he just talking to make you feel better? surely, it couldn't be that. he wouldn't say anything like that in that kind of way. "what are you trying to say?" you ask.
"i love you," he answered.
there it was. the words you had been hoping to hear from him since the day you found yourself in love with him. part of you didn't believe it was possible, knowing the way he was. but, you finally got something good out of this world.
"i love you too."

you and chishiya were sitting watching a movie, as you both do every friday night. another thing you both (only you) do, is hype up the female characters as if you were standing right in front of them. and chishiya was always confused, you were practically crushing on a girl right in front of him.
you would always call them 'gorgeous' or 'stunning' almost as if you were talking about your crush to him. but when you asked chishiya if he agreed and he said yes? you didn't even care, you just smiled and looked back at the screen.
not long later, the movie finished and you both went up to bed as it was getting late. chishiya decided to himself that he would question it tomorrow, and sleep tonight.
•❦︎•
the next morning, you were up early as the birds outside had woken you up with their singing, plus it was summer, so it was already light out.
so, you decided to try your hardest not to wake chishiya and go downstairs to make pancakes for the both of you. so there you were, busying yourself on the stove, with your headphones on, playing whatever music you decided to put on.
you didn't hear chishiya wake up, but you certainly felt it when he wrapped his arms around your torso and kissed up your neck. you slid your headphones off and paused the music playing.
"morning, chi" you smile at him, you only get a small grunt in response, you giggled.
chishiya moved to let go of you so you could get back to cooking, leaning against the kitchen island.
there was a few minutes of silence before he spoke up, his voice low and gravelly as he had just woken up.
"i've been meaning to ask you" he pauses, you look over your shoulder at him "are you gay? or something. you seem to like all the female actresses that come on the screen while i'm right there. if you are, it's fine, i just was wondering."
you chuckle at his words, flipping a pancake over.
"no, chi. i'm not gay. it's just like, girls support girls, y'know?" you turn to look at him, leaning against the counter behind you.
"so you still like me?" he says, walking over to you and grabbing you by your hips to sit on the kitchen island with him in between your legs.
"yes, of course i do
" you smile down at him, he grabs your neck and pulls you down closer.
"so you still like dick?" he asks lowly, your breath hitches in your throat.
"yes" you say breathlessly.
“yeah?” he asks almost sarcastically, leaving a light trail of kisses down your neck and collarbone, god bless the tank top and shorts you wore to bed last night to give your boyfriend easier access.
you just manage to nod in response before chishiya has found your weak spot, suckling on it, bound to leave a mark by night. you let out a breathy gasp as he did so, to him, it was music to his ears.
chishiya slowly made his way down your body, pulling your tank top up and over your head, before swiftly reattaching his lips back to your neck. he then pulled his shirt over his head, letting your hands wander all over his chest and neck as he did so.
it didn’t take long for him to kiss his way down your body, until he got to your panties. you wiggled your hips in order to help him get them off, he threw them to the side, god knows where, but you both knew you didn’t care. you looked down at him, and his brown eyes found yours, asking for permission. your lustful eyes was the only answer he needed before he got to work on your cunt, lapping up your juices, letting his tongue run down your slit, before right back up again to your clit, giving it a harsh suck. your hands flew to his hair in response, letting out a lewd moan as you did so. chishiya chuckled at your reaction, and did it again.
he got the same reaction, but this time with you tugging harshly on his blonde locks, throwing your hair back in silent pleasure. you could practically feel the smirk on his face as he practically made out with your sopping cunt. he had to hold your hips down so you don’t buck away from his mouth, it wasn’t like you wanted to. you felt absolute ecstasy as his tongue abused your hole.
When he saw signs of you beginning to get close, he pulled his tongue back and stilled all of his movements, picking you up and carrying you towards the living room. he set you down on the couch so you were in a sitting up position and resumed his previous attack on your pussy, making sure to such your clit extra hard this time, causing you to see stars.
“shiya” you whimpered out, barely able to contain your soft moans and mewls as he continues his assault on your clit.
His tongue flattened against your clit to give you at least a bit of leverage when he delivered a particularly harsh suck.
“shiya, the couch” you moan out, you felt him smirk against you as your pussy juices drip from your hole onto the plush sofa, definitely creating a wet patch.
“i don’t give a damn” he mutters against you, sending the most delicious vibrations through your body, making you jolt in pleasure.
your sofa was quickly forgotten about as you start to reach your high again, widening your legs as your back arches off the back of the sofa, the harsh suck on your clit throwing you over the edge. chishiya kept lapping at your puffy and swollen clit to deliver you down from your high, also managing to lap up your juices as though he was a starved man, lapping up every drop as if you would evaporate if he didn’t hurry.
as soon as you opened your eyes again from your high, you saw chishiya smirking up at you with those cat eyes you loved so much. he wasted no time in getting up and pacing his knee in between your thigh in order to keep your legs open. his lips were back on yours in almost an instant as he pulled his joggers down his hips, covering you completely as he pushed into you. he slid right in as you were so wet, your slick coating your inner thighs.
he waited barely a few seconds before pulling out and leaving just the tip inside of you before thrusting into you with so much force you practically jolted back along with the sofa that clashed with the wall. chishiya pounded into you relentlessly, not slowing down his pace when he hears your mewls from beneath him. his chest completely covered your sight as you wrapped your arm around him and dragged your nails harshly down his back.
it was probably enough to draw small pricks of blood, but chishiya wouldn’t mind, he always enjoyed you scratching at his back, it was your own way of marking him up. you kept going with scratching his back, earning low groans from the man on top of you. you never told him to stop, even though your overstimulated clit was hitting his stomach over and over. you didn’t want him to stop, and he wouldn’t. not unless you said your safe word.
“only i can make you cum like this, yeah?” he said gruffly, you nodded in response, not trusting yourself to speak with the amount of pleasure you were feeling, he was quick to grab your throat and squeeze tightly, making you squeal.
“yes, shiya. you’re the only one” you moan out before beginning to babble how close you are to your climax. your eyes brimmed with tears as the intense feeling of him hitting your g-spot over and over.
as you babble incoherently, chishiya reaches down to fondle with your breasts, twisting the nipple in between his index finger and thumb, earning mewls from you as you arch your back off the sofa, reaching your peak. chishiya smirked as your eyes shut tightly, your tears spilling over and slipping down your cheeks. he leaned down and kissed where your tears had fallen.
chishiya finished not long after you did. he brought you into his chest, an just as you thought he was done with you, he spun you around and walked you over to the arm of the sofa before bending you over it, his cock never leaving your hole. you moaned out and gripped the arm of the sofa as chishiya began pounding into you again, even harder this time. at the new angle, he was hitting that spot inside of you that had you seeing stars, it was complete ecstasy.
you whimpered and moaned, tears streaming down your face as his cock filled you up in the most delicious way possible. it wasn’t long before chishiya had you standing upright again, his cock thrusting up into you. his hand was still wrapped tightly around your throat, but not so tight that you couldn’t breathe. his other hand travelled down your body from your tit, going all the way back down to your pussy again.
he quickly found your sensitive nub, rubbing fast and harsh circles on it. the overstimulation, plus chishiya pounding into your sweet little pussy from behind, had you feeling close to your second climax of the morning.
chishiya knew you were about to cum as you began to babble again, you didn’t have any idea what you were saying, but you were too drunk on pleasure to care.
“aw, my baby is close again? gonna cum for me again my pretty girl?” he coos in your ear, you could barely respond as one final snap of your boyfriend’s hip sent you tumbling over the edge, yelling out his name as you see nothing but white as your pussy clenches around his cock.
chishiya lets out a low groan as your pussy clamping down on him sends him over the edge with you, his thrusts growing sloppy as he tries to ride the both of you out of your highs.
“c’mon, im sure the neighbours are sick of hearing my name by now” chishiya chuckles, pulling out of you before picking you up bridal style to your bathroom. he ran you a bath and sat you down in it, disappearing briefly as he fixed you a plate of pancakes from when you are done.
you walk downstairs in an oversized shirt, grabbing onto things as you walk down the hallway to your kitchen, seeing your boyfriend in nothing but sweats. his shirt was long gone, and you saw the scratches you left on his back. you felt a small pang of guilt.
“relax, ive had worse happen” he says as he feels your stare burning into his back. he turns around and looks at you, smirking as he sees your wobbly legs. “maybe we should do that more often if i get you to the point you can barley walk, princess” he teases.
“i can walk” you say matter-of-factly.
“oh yeah?” he says cockily, “walk over to me then” he says in a sweet, but demanding voice.
you try your hardest to do so, grabbing onto the kitchen counter as you do so.
“uh uh, hands off the counter sweetheart” he says lowly, you take your hands off the counter and stand there for a couple of seconds before your knees buckle. chishiya grabs you before could fall, catching your shoulders.
you hold onto his forearms as he lifts you back up, guiding you over to the sofa and sitting you down, crouching in front of you.
“i think maybe we should give the neighbours a reminder of my name, princess” he says with a mischievous glint in his eyes as he grabs your thighs and pulls your pussy back towards his face “what d’you think?”

Shipping Rules & "The Clique"
I have updated my shipping rules when it comes to Chishiya, do check them out if you ever want to pursue my muse be sure you are of sane mind and strong heart.
Now for the second, more important part. This RP community, or, so I have been told by someone who went through several of them is one of the most welcoming and chill ones on the hellscape of a site. I have experienced it myself, feeling lots of love and support and honestly? I cherish every interaction I have, truly, I may never say this but I do.
Interactions are a blessing and a curse to be honest. Sometimes OCs don't get them enough because they are not canon or the canon characters get just the thirsty asks of which they get tired of. So, we all experience the community from a different perspective depending on our place in it. And this is going to understandably breed conflict, because members get bitter. Having said all of that I would just like to point out that:
Having a person/people that you like writing with does not equal being exclusive, what would be exclusive is purposefully avoiding interactions with everyone/blocking people and not wanting to include anyone besides the close knit circle of people in anything, while being rude about it.
Having OOC relationships with people you like writing with DOES NOT EQUAL BEING EXCLUSIVE.
Being jealous about people having friends and having fun doing a hobby together is not healthy and will only lead to misery on the part of the jealous person.
We are all here to have fun IN DIFFERENT WAYS - for some it's writing longer pieces, making moodboards, edits, creating art, shipping, doing kinky content. We occupy the same space, please can we just have fun.
Not communicating is the biggest sin a human can commit. So many fucking disasters could have been avoided if people just TALKED. If something bothers you don't send a hate anon just speak to the person directly, dingus.
And if you have problem with me specifically or I did something that had upset you in the past my inbox is open.

Hiii I hope you're doing well this fine evening:) I was wondering if you can write chishiya that notice this one beach resident (reader) that keeps staring at him and at first he thinks that she's planning some evil schemes or something but no he just finds out with his super detective skills she's drawing him. Alot. And ends up confronting her about it. Thank you sooo much xoxo.
ꔫ ⸝⸝ summary: chishiya always seemed to catch you in the act. what was the act? he needed to know.
ꔫ ⸝⸝ pairing: chishiya x gn!reader
ꔫ ⸝⸝ genre: fluff
ꔫ ⸝⸝ warnings: none
ꔫ ⸝⸝ word count: 931
A/N: this was a little rushed but i hope you still like it!
It started off as what Chishiya hoped to be a coincidence. When he'd catch your gaze and you'd walk away; like a guilty dog.
He could tell you've gained more confidence when you'd stare right back at him and continue the soft movements of your wrist on the notebook you had laid on your lap.
Then it became more frequent, like you'd been following him and knew everywhere he'd be.
At some point he thought he was the one following you.
He couldn't pull away when he saw you again. Up on a balcony with the ability to look at every other beach resident, but every time you looked up--your eyes were on him.
He had given you the nickname 'Stalker' when talking to Kuina about it. And Kuina happened to be the one who put the paranoid thought that you were plotting an evil scheme against him.
Honestly, it could make sense. The constant writing, the more frequent encounters. What else would it be?
Chishiya, the curious cat. Far too curious for his own good the way he made his way back inside the Beach. Fast and large footsteps going towards where he saw you. Hoping he'd catch you before you'd disappear again.
But just with his luck, the chair you once sat in was empty. He took smaller steps to walk deeper inside the balcony, looking down to see your perspective.
Chishiya turned around, eyeing the chair that he wanted to stuff in an evidence bag and get it tested for anything and everything to figure out who you were.
He kneeled down, bringing his hand out to grab onto the black piece that felt like chalk on his fingers.
It was charcoal. Why did you have charcoal?
And as smart as Chishiya was. He now realized every theory he had, was now wrong just by this small piece in his hand.
He stood back up, studying the charcoal under his intimidating gaze as if it would talk to him with words.
You were an artist. At least, that's what it seemed like. Someone plotting on his demise wouldn't be writing a plan in charcoal. But rather draw a picture, like a face they could see daily.
That was his face.
Now he really wanted to find you; more than before. He wanted to ask you if he was right, and then maybe you'd show him your art with a smile.
He thought about that charcoal piece since he had woken up. And he realized maybe he could see the way other people viewed him, outside of his life and onto a piece of paper.
Catching you in the act seemed easy in his mind. He went to the same place every morning, and he'd see you there too. But instead of being on his side of the room, he'd sneak up behind you. Startle you, then help you up before taking that charcoal piece out of his pocket and into your view.
Sometimes he scared himself how easy it was to predict other people's moves, it felt like he had some sort of superpower.
Because that's exactly what happened.
You jumped to the sound of his voice, "Stalking again?" His voice husky, but soft as he spoke with a grin.
"Maybe?" You spoke as if it was question towards him, afraid you had made him uncomfortable.
"Maybe?" His grin grew larger when he quoted your words back to you, bringing out that charcoal piece you left behind.
You put on a shy smile when you saw it, reaching your hand out to grab it before he pulled away.
"It took me a while to find out what you were doing." Chishiya spoke, looking around your body to try and spot that notebook you carried around.
"It's only fair you show me what you were really doing." He cleared his throat after the words left his mouth, his eyes going back to yours to study your expression.
"That's true..." You chuckled, "I guess that is fair." You sighed, taking the notebook out of the satchel that rested on your body.
You handed it to him. You didn't need to show him a certain page, the entire notebook was just filled with him and maybe someone who was standing beside him if you got bored.
He noticed a few of him and Kuina, noticing the perfect strokes of led or charcoal that stained the white pages.
"These are better than I thought they would be." He hummed honestly, slowly flicking through the pages and taking in everything they offered.
"Thanks." You nodded, "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable... Or anything. I'm not good at talking to people. And you're quite satisfying to draw." You explained through a nervous lump in your throat. Your fingers fidgeting with each other as they rested above your thigh.
"I'm not uncomfortable." He shook his head, finally peeling his eyes away to look at yours. "I thought you were trying to kill me at first." He shrugged, looking back down.
"Oh," You nervously laughed, trying to wait patiently for him to hand it back.
"Where'd you learn how to draw?" He asked curiously, finally closing the notebook and handing it back to your shaking hands.
You shrugged, "Just something I taught myself over the years." You explained, stuffing the notebook into your bag.
"If you ever draw me again, you should show me." He wasn't suggesting it, he was hoping it.
You nodded before watching him walk away, only realizing he hadn't given the charcoal piece to you until he was out of sight.

HI EJDBJEBJ pls pls can u do a banda sunato imagine?
where he meets reader at the jack of hearts game and he fell in love at first sight and he was not expecting it because he's a serial killer and there he sees reader (doesnt need to be fem) and like gad damn hi why did i just meet u today. and he swears to like,, protect the reader.
bonus ig is that reader is close to chishiya
I change a few things from the episode but hopefully, it still makes sense lol and Banda is ooc. Also, it's funny seeing the likes go up for my Arisu fic since the second season was released.
I made this gn but if you see any gendered language please tell me so I can correct it!
YN trailed behind Chishiya as they entered the prison where the Jack of Hearts game was being held. After being separated from the rest of the group, the two of them were trying to get back to them whilst entering the face card games.
Well, YN was focused on getting back to the group whilst Chishiya took his sweet time, eagerly seeking out the blimps that flew over Tokyo.
His eyes lit up when he realised that they were near the Jack of Hearts game, and though he says he was not suited for them, YN believed that Chishiya was intelligent to the point he could adapt to all of the card types, except maybe Spades but he would figure a way out for that too as he did with the Tag game.
If it wasn’t for the fact that their visa was going to expire soon, YN would be sitting outside of the prison waiting for Chishiya to return but unfortunately, the borderlands were cruel so here they were putting their life on the line yet again.
They slipped the collars on as instructed and made their way into the guard room where about ten people were waiting and judging from the table of collars by the entrance, it was going to be a high-number player game.
Chishiya found a shadowed alcove where he could see the entrance and everyone else who was already there. YN took their place next to him and together they waited for the rest of the players to join.
Eventually, the last player joined and the tension and fear in the room amplified as the screen in the room lit up and the automated voice rattled through the speakers and everyone’s attention was directed to it.
“Difficulty, Jack of Hearts.”
“Game, Prison Cell”
┆彡
Banda stepped into the guardroom and set his gaze upon the other players in the guardroom. Some nervously avoided eye contact, others squared their shoulders and made themselves bigger as others hid in the shadows.
Nothing unusual, he noted. After all, they were all forced to participate in these death games but some adapted better than others. Some people thrived and dominated the games whilst others simply rode on their coattails, surviving off the backs of others.
Banda turned his attention back to the screen, listening to the instructions as they were explained.
“Rules. Guess the suit that appears on the back of your collar. However, you cannot see your own suit. The time limit per round is one hour. Five minutes before the time is up enter one of the prison cells and guess what your own suit is. If you do not guess your suit correctly, the game is over for you. When time runs out, your collar will explode and you will die. In addition, your suit will change at every round.”
People fiddled with their collars, twisting and turning but their design made it impossible.
“But we just need to have someone tell us what it is, right? That'll be easy” A young man excitedly exclaims on the other side of the room, bringing Banda’s attention to him and consequently to YN as they move out of the shadows when the man next to them responds.
“I wouldn't be so sure. They haven't told us how to clear the game.”
Banda pays no attention to the voice as it finishes explaining the rules as he was hooked on the mysterious person on the opposite side of the room.
He was down bad and they hadn’t even shared a word.
┆彡
YN watched as everyone started to team up but distrust was thick in the air. Reality has settled in, it would be hard to clear this game and most will die as distrust and backstabbing fester.
The young man in what YN thought was quite an adorable set-up of a yellow t-shirt and dungarees, turns to them “Hey, let’s tell each other”
“If you want to survive, you need to observe everyone here very closely. You need to remember everyone who doesn’t lie. Besides, I could be the Jack of Hearts myself…”
YN tunes out Chishiya, their gaze focused on the man who is steadily approaching them from the other side of the room. He was cute, with a sweet smile and broad shoulders.
His eyes are only on YN and as he stops in front of them, it pulls Chishiya from his conversation but he remains silent as he watches on.
“Do you want to partner up?” The man asked eagerly, “We’re stronger in pairs.”
Chishiya makes a noise of amusement which causes the man's eyes to flicker over to him.
“...Unless you’ve already partnered up” The man glared slightly at Chishiya
“No, no… we can all group up.” YN quickly spoke up, trying to diffuse the tension between the two men. Chishiya had the ability to piss anyone and everyone off, including YN several times.
When the man looked back over at YN, they introduced themselves, holding out a hand that the man eagerly shook and introduced himself.
“Banda.” He smiles, “Banda Sunato”
YN returns his smile and twists around, showing him the back of their collar, “Do you mind telling me mine?”
Banda steps closer to look at the collar before gently tugging YN back around to face him. The physical contact was unneeded but YN didn’t mind. In fact, they kind of liked it.
“Club.”
YN tells him and Chishiya’s theirs before they have to go into the cells to call out their suit.
There are no deaths this round and everyone breathes a sigh of relief as they step out of their cells.
Immediately Banda makes their way over to YN with a smile, not wanting to be separated from them for longer than he has to.
Chishiya watches as they head to the food room, racking his brain, trying to remember where he remembers the name Banda Sunato from.
┆彡
“You know, I wonder how long this will last”
The words of the man next to Banda catch YN’s attention, so they listen in on their conversation.
“Either the Jack will start killing people, or someone who’s afraid they’ll be killed will start killing others. Until one of those things happens, this will never end.” Banda explains.
“That’s exactly right.” Chishiya jumps in.
“As long as we’re all telling each other, we’ll be fine.” The man in the yellow shirt, Ippei, tries to look on the brighter side of things.
YN gives him a sympathetic smile, “I wouldn’t be so sure.”
Their conversation is interrupted by shouting and a young man being shoved to the floor. Everybody turns to watch as a bald man shouts at the frightened younger man to tell him his suit.
YN tries to move forward to help him but is stopped by Chishiya who shakes his head at them, motioning to what Banda was currently doing.
When YN hears the muffled explosion and thump that echoes through the prison at the end of the round, they realise what Banda had done.
┆彡
Banda watches as YN snacks on a packet of cookies, finding everything they do utterly endearing and adorable.
“You know…” He begins to speak, catching YN’s attention, “I would never betray you. I’ll protect you.”
He takes YN’s hand in his, holding it tightly but their moment is interrupted by the arrival of Chishiya.
“Eyy, for all we know you can be the jack of hearts.”
Banda glares at Chishiya. So does YN. Trust him to stir up shit.
“So could you.”
Chishiya points at YN, “They can vouch for me”
Banda looks over to YN who rolls their eyes and nods, “I’ve had the misfortune of knowing Chishiya since I came to the borderlands. He’s not the Jack. Neither am I, by the way.”
Banda quickly shook his head, “I would have never thought that.”
YN saw Chishiya make a face from the corner of their eye but ignored him.
YN didn’t tell Banda that they knew he kickstarted the series of deaths in this game either.
┆彡
Players were dropping like flies. Backing stabbing and fear had crumbled groups until there were only seven of them left.
Ippei couldn’t take it, the game had broken him and as YN watched him sob on the floor as Chishiya tried to comfort him, they felt bad for him. They understood how these death games took everything from you and if you manage to survive one, you barely have enough time to recuperate before you’re forced to join another lest you want your visa to run out.
When YN heard the muffled explosion at the end of the hour, they knew Ippei chose death.
Banda approached YN, seeing how upset they were about Ippei, bringing them into a hug and comforting them.
“He’s at peace now.”
YN nodded and snuggled further into his hold, melting into his warmth. YN had needed that hug desperately, the last one they had was with Kuina at The Beach which felt like a lifetime ago.
YN took a backseat role for the next round, Chishiya told them their suit and vice versa. Watching as he planned something with Banda and Yaba but did not get involved as they laid a trap for Matsushita, the Jack of Hearts.
After the trap fell in place, YN watched as Yaba dragged Matsushita into an empty cell as Banda made his way over to where they were standing and Chishiya made himself scarce, giving them a moment of privacy.
Banda cups YN’s cheek in his hand, “I think this is where we part but we will meet again. I promise you that.”
YN nodded, placing their hand over the one that rested on their cheek, “We will. I know it.”
Banda gave them a rare smile before leaning down and pressing a soft kiss on YN’s cheek before he let them go and walked back to the cell Yaba was holding Matsushita in.
As YN and Chishiya left the prison, the blimp above it exploded, signalling the Jack of Hearts had been defeated.
YN cast a worried look back at the prison as they walked further away which Chishiya rolled his eyes at when he noticed.
“You know he is a serial killer right?” Chishiya told them still walking away, “ He’ll be fine”
YN did a double take at his words, “A what?”
“Serial killer. Killed four women”
YN gaped at the back of Chishiya’s head before chasing after him, “Why didn’t you tell me this before?”
Chishiya looked behind him and picked up his pace at the sight of YN’s mad face gaining ground on him, “I thought you knew! I thought he told you!”
┆彡
One week later, YN sat outside the supreme court waiting for Chishiya as he played the King of Diamonds game when they heard a voice call out to them.
“Waiting for someone?”
YN looked up and couldn’t help the smile that spread on their face,
“Banda!”

i just had a thought and needed to share it with you LMAO but chishiya is definitely the type of person to use the whole ‘three taps means i love you’ code cuz he rarely ever says it out loud. so like anytime he passes by you he’ll tap your arm three times and sometimes he even finds himself doing it unconsciously in his sleep :((
Thank you for sharing this with me, my friend ♥
How could I NOT write this for you?
Tap, tap, tap.
Three taps on your upper arm as he passed you, his eyes not even looking up from the article he was reading. Only Chishiya’s smirk hinted at the fact that those taps were intentional, and you moved your fingers to the still tingling skin of your arm.
He always did that. Tapping your arm when walking past you, tapping your fingers when you held his hand, even your head when you snuggled into his side while watching a movie together. You had barely noticed at first, but the more often Chishiya did it, the more you questioned what it actually meant.
You had tried to figure out if it occurred after you said or did something special. Maybe it was to tell you that you were stupid (in Chishiya’s own mocking but loving way of course), or that you should move aside? It didn’t make sense.
One time you had questioned him, and the only answer had been a knowing chuckle. Of course, the cunning blonde wouldn’t give you the answer that easily, since he loved to be the clever one. You had even tried to tap him back, but that only led to an even bigger smirk on his face.
Rolling your eyes, you followed Chishiya into the living room, where he dropped back into the couch and barely made place for you when you did the same. You snuggled into his touch, leaving him enough space so he could continue reading that article about surgical stuff, and looked up to his face. Strands of blonde hair tickled your skin, the scent of strawberry shampoo just a hint in the air as you breathed in.
You searched for his hand and didn’t let go until your fingers intertwined with his, and there it was again. Three taps of his thumb against the side of your hand.
“What does it mean?” you asked again, twirling a strand of blonde hair between your fingers.
Chishiya tilted his head towards you just so slightly, a sign that he enjoyed what you were doing. “Hmm?”
You snorted. “Come on, don’t fool me. The taps! You know what I’m talking about. What does it mean?”
“If you can’t figure it out yourself, there’s no need to explain it anyway.”
That asshole. He knew exactly how much you wanted that answer, and he enjoyed it even more to play with you. This was definitely not the reason you loved him. You punched his side, hard enough so he had to flinch, before you snuggled back into it. “I hate you, ‘Chiya.”
“No, you don’t.” He bluntly stated with a smirk. Of course you didn’t.
Later that night, when the movie was long finished and you both had gone to bed, you still lay wide awake and stared at the ceiling. In the darkness of night, only a few shadows were visible, cast by the moon and the trees outside your window. Three taps. And there was a meaning behind it. Just why couldn’t you figure it out?
Chishiya huffed in his sleep and turned around so he was facing you. His mouth was slightly parted and his hair was tousled all around his beautiful features. You couldn’t resist touching his cheek, and his lips curled into a smile for a second. When you pulled back your arm to give Chishiya the space he needed, his fingers brushed your skin and you felt the soft tap, tap, tap once more.
He even did that while sleeping! But what-
You scanned his features, listened to the sound of his breath, and despite the riddle he wouldn’t solve for you, your heart was almost bursting with love for this man. You loved so many things about him – his voice, his cleverness, the way he was a man of few words who preferred to use tiny gestures.
And then it struck you.
Of course! How couldn’t you have seen it before?
Everything that Chishiya did had a meaning, even the slightest touch was considered.
Tap, tap, tap.
Three taps… three words.
I love you.
You smiled, breathing a kiss onto Chishiya’s lips. “I love you, too.”

Unfinished business (pt 1):
Chishiya x Reader
Requested: Chishiya and the reader, who are in a relationship, face a game together where her toxic ex-boyfriend appears
—
"Ready?" Chishiya asked as he strode into Y/N's room without bothering to knock.
The girl was staring at her reflection in the mirror, trying to tie her hair into a high ponytail that would keep it out of her way during a game where her life might be on the line.
"Almost," she replied, struggling to tame a few rebellious strands that refused to cooperate.
With a sigh of feigned annoyance, Chishiya stepped forward, his hands moving through her hair with practiced ease to help smooth it back.
"Thanks," she smiled, turning to plant a soft kiss on his lips, which he returned without hesitation.
If anyone had ever told Chishiya he would be this affectionate with someone, he wouldn't have believed it. Yet, somehow, through time and relentless effort, Y/N had managed to break down the high walls he'd built around himself, walls he once thought impenetrable, keeping him distant from anything resembling human emotion.
"Shall we?" she asked, extending her hand toward him. He took it, intertwining his fingers with hers.
The pair walked out the door, their steps immediately met by the raucous noise of the crowd in the main hall, ready to face another night of death and pain with false optimism and several liters of alcohol in their systems.
They descended the stairs in silence, and Y/N felt the faint pressure of Chishiya's hand giving hers a gentle squeeze before releasing it. It was a familiar routine; whenever they entered a crowded space, he would always let go. Everyone at The Beach already knew they were together—it wasn't a secret, nor did they try to hide it. Still, Chishiya found comfort in masking his emotions in public, and Y/N didn’t mind. It was enough for her to know that, at the end of the day, he was still hers.
With a quick nod of his head, Chishiya gestured for her to pick up her group number for that night's game.
Approaching the table, she took a folded slip of paper from Niragi, who handed it over with a gaze heavy with desire. Y/N avoided his look as quickly as she could. She heard his laughter, a sound that reminded her of a hyena, and at the same moment felt a hand rest lightly on her lower back. Turning, she exhaled in relief to find Chishiya standing there.
Without a word, Chishiya extended his free hand, and Niragi handed him his slip in a silent exchange, their gazes locking in an unspoken challenge.
The couple moved through the crowd, Chishiya's hand lingering on her lower back, almost imperceptible to anyone who wasn’t paying close attention. With subtle movements, he guided her toward the farthest wall of the room, where they unfolded their respective slips of paper.
"We're together tonight," he noted after glancing at the numbers.
Y/N nodded, though a wave of unease churned in her stomach. She looked at him, doubt flickering in her eyes. His face remained calm and stoic, his gaze fixed ahead on the Hatter, who had begun his usual speech. Chishiya was impossible to read when he chose to be neutral. Was he pleased they were paired tonight? Was he afraid? Or did he simply not care? Y/N brushed the doubts aside, knowing they wouldn’t do her any good, and tried to focus on the Hatter. She didn’t notice the fleeting glance Chishiya cast her way, nor the moment his mask slipped, revealing his grim realization that tonight, he might have to watch her die.
When the speech ended, Y/N felt his hand on her back again, urging her to move. Together, they walked outside, where the cars were already waiting to take the players to their destination. She noticed Chishiya's touch grow slightly more intimate as it shifted to her waist, giving her a gentle squeeze before letting go entirely.
The two entered the car alongside three other players, plunging into the night with their minds weighed down by worries and a bitter foreboding in their throats.
When they arrived at the venue and stepped through the counting laser, they found themselves in a small, nearly empty room. Apart from the five players from The Beach, there were three other men, their faces pale and filled with terror. "Newbies," Y/N thought with a pang of sympathy.
“The game will begin in one minute,” the robotic voice announced.
Y/N leaned against a wall beside Chishiya but kept some distance, a rule he reminded her of almost daily. In front of strangers, especially in a game where emotions could be weaponized, distance was crucial. He always softened his tone when explaining this, his fingers brushing against her cheek as his steely words melted into an apology. He would end his reminder with a gentle kiss, a silent plea for understanding.
Recalling the taste of his lips, Y/N slid down the wall, sitting on the floor with a sigh. She glanced at her phone: thirty seconds until the game started.
Suddenly, the laser beeped again. A new player entered. From her spot on the floor, Y/N looked up, her body reacting before her mind. Her heart raced, blood surging through her veins like fire as her eyes locked with the newcomer. One thought consumed her as those cold eyes bore into hers: Kai.
The phone chimed, announcing the game’s rules.
Swallowing hard, Y/N forced herself to focus on the screen, her trembling hands clutching the device. She tried to stand, but her legs refused to obey, as though cursed to stay still. She hated it—hated feeling so small, so exposed in front of that man. A flood of unwelcome memories swept over her, dragging her back into a pit of insecurity and helplessness she had worked so hard to bury. Only Kai, with his tall frame and piercing brown hair, could ignite that fire, a blaze threatening to consume her from within.
Suddenly, a hand gripped her arm, pulling her to her feet and making her stumble slightly. She looked up, relief washing over her when she saw Chishiya. He held her gaze briefly before leading her after the others into a dimly lit room.
“Three of Hearts,” he said, his tone calm yet firm. “Logic puzzles in glass cubicles via a console. We can share clues or sabotage others by sending codes to their consoles. Ten points to escape. The cubicles explode in forty minutes.”
Y/N swallowed, her mind racing to absorb the information. She’d been so caught up in her emotions that she hadn’t paid attention to the game's explanation. The room illuminated, revealing individual cubicles arranged in a circle with a large console in the center.
She glanced at Chishiya, who was already looking at her, his expression demanding an explanation once the game was over. Nodding slightly, she stepped into one of the glass cubicles as Chishiya entered the one beside hers. The door creaked shut behind her, and she exhaled all the air she hadn’t realized she was holding.
Raising her eyes, she saw him—Kai. He had positioned himself, likely deliberately, directly across from her. His dark, piercing gaze burned into hers, sending a shiver down her spine. She quickly looked away, turning her head toward Chishiya, but his attention was elsewhere. Chishiya’s sharp eyes were locked on Kai, observing him with quiet intensity.
Chishiya didn’t know who this man was or what his intentions might be, but he had a sinking feeling that the game wouldn’t end well.

Hi hi! 🥰
Sooo, while I was writting the story, I decided to split the idea into two parts!
The concept is just so interesting, and taking a bit more time allows for deeper exploration… Total drama vibes! 😏
Hopefully, the person who made this request is okay with this decision😅…it’s all about doing justice to such a cool idea!
Feedback or thoughts are always welcome because it’s exciting to see how it all comes together. Can’t wait to share and hope it turns out amazing! 🌟

requesting for chishiya !! i dont really see anything abt him being flirty, so i'd LOVE to see smth like after the game with king of diamonds when he starts to open up yk, maybe chishiya had feelings for op when they were at the beach but never told them that cause he didnt >want< to feel that way, but after all that talk with kuzuryu he wants to change but doesnt rlly know how so he just starts flirting with op at any given chance basically :]] like calling them pretty and holding their hand/waist yk and maybe just dropping some "wanna makeout?" but its SO CLEAR that hes trying really hard and has no idea of what hes doing (that man does NOT flirt usually
I AM FROTHING AT THE MOUTH FOR THIS !!
I am a firm believer that chishiya is definitely a huge antisocial dork outside of the borderlands and with his partner, so this request hits home
"A" for Effort
Summary: God, who would've thought Chishiya Shuntaro could fail at something so gracefully—alternatively, the one where Chishiya tries flirting for once.
Genre: fluff, aib!au, ooc chishiya (he's a dork in this one)
Pairing: reader x chishiya
Words: 1k
"You know, I can make a bomb out of that with enough batteries and wires." Chishiya mused, a hint of pride in his voice. You froze midway through your actions, the cola can you were holding suspended in midair, inches from your lips. "That's very cool of you, Chishiya."
"Yeah," he hummed. He slid his chair closer to you, making the old floor of the abandoned apartment creak. You'd be lying if you said his closer proximity didn't make your heart flutter.
Uncharacteristically, he slid an arm around you, seemingly aiming to land on the armrest on your other side. As soon as his palm hit the wood, it gave in with a sharp snap, making the blond jolt forward. His chin hit your shoulder, sticky soda liquid spilling as your arm jerked alongside it.
For a split second, he looked mortified, eyebrows raised slightly and his mouth agape. Quickly enough, he caught himself and slid back into his stoic expression. He cleared his throat, "I just have to cut that top part open. The wiring goes in and then the pull-ring after. It's really easy—I can teach you if you want."
His breath was on your skin, deep brown eyes burning into yours. When they're close enough, his eyes no longer looked cold nor judgmental. They were soft, gentle—they were windows to the vulnerabilities and brilliance hidden beneath his hard shell. His pupils seemed to dilate when he whispered, glimmering with wonder under the candlelight.
"You're really pretty."
Your breath hitched in your throat. Eyebrows raised, you let out a hum in surprise. What has gotten into him today?
"Sorry?" You couldn't help but smile. It was an awkward one, given how you were unused to interacting with him like this, but a smile nonetheless.
His arm was still around you, limply laying on the side of the chair before he decided to press it onto your waist. For the first time in his life, Chishiya's fingers trembled. He was praying you wouldn't notice the almost imperceptible way his fingers shook over the fabric of your shirt. You pretended not to notice.
"I think your lips are really pretty," he said as a matter of fact.
He didn't know why you were looking at him as if he just blew someone's head off. Truthfully, it wavered his confidence and he started to rethink his approach. You still hadn't said a word for you were trying to figure out if this was really happening, but he mistook this silence for rejection.
"I'll uh—" he moved away from you, standing up to go towards your makeshift bed of papers and pillows. The bed in the apartment came with questionable stains, and you were adamant about never touching it.
"Chish-"
"I'm going to sleep," he grumbled, frustrated at himself for failing at something he considered to be simple. Why was it suddenly so difficult to talk to you?
Whatever fire Kuzuryuu ignited in him has certainly dampened a bit. He felt defeated—stumped—that the perfect plan he concocted didn't pan out the way it usually would. He thought that now was the best time—he had just came off from beating a king, you found a place the King of Spades seemingly hasn't touched yet, and the both of you managed to unearth unexpired strawberry candies that actually tasted good. Today was supposed to be lucky.
He'd thought of all the variables, and processed the multiple backup plans he had up his sleeve, yet when that fucking armrest broke, they all went down the drain. He was curled up in a ball, back facing toward you. He didn't want you to see him in such an embarrassed—pathetic—state.
"Humans aren't formulaic," he thought.
Sighing, you stood up. You blew the candle, the resulting wisps of smoke trailing up towards the ceiling. Chishiya lay motionless, and if you weren't any wiser, you would've thought that he had actually fallen asleep already.
You sat crossed-leg next to him. The plastic of his earphones glinted under the moonlight, peeking through strands of bleach-blonde hair. You gently plucked the bud out and the blown-out bass of a heavy rock song greeted you. He tilted his head slightly in your direction.
You leaned down, bringing your lips closer to the curve of his ear. "I think you're pretty too."
For a beat, he was unresponsive. Then, he rolled onto his back, now facing you fully. His lips quirked up, giving you the smallest of smiles. He propped himself up on his elbows, cocking his head to the side. It's almost as if it was a challenge for you to continue.
"I don't know what got into you, but I do know that it gave me the courage to tell you this," you bit your lip. "I have feelings for you."
He cocked an eyebrow up, pleasantly surprised and almost in a teasing way. So the plan did work. Not in the way he thought it would, but it still came to fruition.
Your noses were almost touching. You wanted to close the gap, to meet his chapped lips that vaguely smelled of strawberries—he swore he wasn't using lip balm but you begged to differ. He was yearning for this as well. God, he was so mesmerized by you.
So pretty, so pretty, so pretty.
"If you're having trouble with getting the lid off, I can always help you with some pliers I found."
"What are you talking abou—is this about the fucking bomb again?"
He cut you off, finally pressing his lips against yours. Snaking his hand behind your head, he pulled you closer, deepening the kiss. You still hadn't quite figured out the intricacies of his mind. His behavior was sometimes erratic—although he was calm and calculative, he can also be unpredictable and warm.
There was a multitude of thoughts running through your mind, the loudest one being the drive for the both of you to make it out, to survive. And without saying it, you knew he wanted the same thing.
