I DIDNT LIKE THE TOM HOLLAND MOVIES (except No Way Home, that one was good).

Part of it for me was Spidey fatigue. We'd gone through one reboot with the Amazing Spiderman, and then we had this. I didn't like the way characters were written, I remember going to see Homecoming in theaters and not enjoying it, but also noticing how the cast and setting were basically taken from Miles Morales' story, but Miles was replaced with Peter, and his supporting cast was rebranded with the names of Peter's supporting cast. (Most obvious one is Ned, who is clearly supposed to be Ganke)

I just found MCU Flash to be really annoying and nowhere close to the character who would become Agent Venom. MCU Flash clearly comes from a privileged family, wears nice clothes, and drives a freaking Audi, tbh, it makes me wonder why this was Flash and not Harry Osborn? And I felt MJ was more of a bully in this movie than Flash was supposed to be, but apparently by Far From Home, Peter's decided the girl who was a bitch to him throughout the first movie is the one for him??? Okay.

(Not to mention the joke about Flash drinking underaged, considering his character being a recovering alcoholic in the comics)

There's also, of course, the common complaint that until No Way Home, MCU Peter didn't even feel like Peter. There's the fact a lot of the Fandom referred to him as 'Ironman Jr.'. None of the stuff Peter made was his own, his costume and webshooters were made by Tony, his villains in Homecoming and Far From Home only go after him because of his relationship with Tony. Until NWH, Peter has no personal stake or interactions with these villains other than, Tony did something that pissed them off and because Peter is Tony's ward, he's their convenient punching bag.

When it was announced that Spiderman would be joining the MCU, I honestly wanted them to just go straight to Miles to be honest. Maybe do something similar to what they did with Antman. Have Peter exist but have him be the Hank Pym to Miles' Scott Lang (which is sort of what they do in Into the Spiderverse, now how 'bout that!)

Instead we just got Peter pretending to be Miles pretending to be Ironman (again, until NWH).

Kay, so, home internet is down, landlord is giving the service provider an earful. I'm trying to conserve data so I'm currently bumming around a Timmies to poach their wifi.

Am sick, thankfully it’s not Covid again.

My nephew gave me a wicked cold as a late Christmas present. I went into work yesterday which I felt was a big mistake, but I didn’t wanna call in sick on the very first day of the year. Thinking I might change my mind today.

Update on the car situation, not good.

Went to my mechanic to get a quote to see what transmission work would cost. He said his garage doesn’t do transmission repairs and that I would have to go to a shop that specializes in that (or I’m assuming a dealership), and that all he could do would be replace the transmission with another one, which would cost about 5 grand. He and I both agreed, it’s not worth it (for that money, I might as well finance a new car).

He offered to buy if off of me, but I’m going to hold off selling it for now. It’s still driveable, just not exactly the most stable drive (jerks when changing gears and when stopping). Gonna try and hold out for a month before I start car shopping. Should be good to go by March.

As a Mania fan, I've had people come at me saying I should blame Riri and Kamala for Andi being depowered and sidelined. As you said, what the hell do two characters completely unrelated to Venom have to do with Andi being depowered?

I have, in the past, pointed out favoritism on Marvel's part to Spider-Gwen and Silk, but I have not blamed them for Andi getting pushed aside. I did get frustrated when I saw a bunch of mania fan art (some of which I drew) reposted and tagged as Gwenom, which shows how obscure Andi has become. However , I still don't blame Gwen.

I've been mocked by other people as being 'the only Mania fan', these are mostly Eddie Brock fans who have also labeled me as 'anti-eddie'. These are the same people who claim Andi and Flash are the worst things to happen to Venom. And they only call me anti Eddie because I was pretty vocal about how putting Eddie back in the symbiote made no sense, and was a complete 180 on Eddie's character.

So, really, I shouldn't be blaming Riri or Kamala or Gwen or Silk for what's happened to Andi. I don't blame Eddie either, because I don't care about Eddie. I blame Marvel, I blame Slott and Costa. All I can say to comicsgaters is get a hobby and get a life. Leave Andi alone and quit using her as an excuse to push your racist and sexist agendas.

Up til now, the symbiote event book for this summer was just referred to as 'Symbiote Summer', part of me is still wishing it was just a rehash of the Marvel Swimsuit Special, but with just the symbiote hosts (minus Dylan and Normie, because ew).
