What vital information do you need to remember in your own mind? How about in the case of a natural or national disaster? or family emergency? What would you want to make sure that you knew? What if things get real bad for awhile?? (Solar flare knocks out satellites or someone cuts the ocean internet lines, etc) The purpose of Sci-Fi Heaven is to provide a visual vehicle or aesthetic for my Memory Castles Experiments project. 

This project was created for the purpose of educating the public about their own automatic skill for remembering using Memory Palace techniques (see Joshua Foer’s “Moonwalking With Einstein” for a fun Pop-Science explanation). These techniques are easy and proven but are foreign to public education and we hope to change that. Our over-dependency on Google needs a counter-balancing effort and we need it now. My video experiments will be true scientific experiments, as we gather data in attempt to create a video that uses these techniques, but most importantly, this project was created to spread the awareness of Memory Palaces to encourage a viewer’s own personal study of these hugely useful mental tools.

What I would like to bring to Video is an exploration of Utility beyond storytelling. We need to think sideways and diagonally. What if you could watch your favorite music video and a title card pops up at the end explaining that you now know basic CPR training? We think its possible to create and that is what we are trying to do - Encourage strong utility of imaginative action.
