Chapters: 3/? Fandom: Once Upon a Time (TV) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Evil Queen | Regina Mills/Robin Hood Summary: Never Say Neverland - Set during Season 3A when our crew finds themself in Neverland. What if The Shadow brought Roland instead of Neal…I started this a long time ago - if anyone would like a continuation, I would happily do so but I definitely need a season 3 rewatch first to remind myself of all that happened!
preview
Regina
“Show yourself before I set fire to the earth you stand on.”
Her eyes shot to the rustling foliage as her nostrils flared with the thrill of a possible fight, fire burning at her fingertips and a thirst for blood thrumming through her veins as she awaited her predator’s attack. She was exhausted, her feet were swollen and blistered in her boots and her neck was aching something terrible from countless nights spent sleeping on the ground and studiously ignoring both the Charmings and Emma for fear that she would soon kill them all - she was in no mood.
In all honesty, she was hoping to find either Pan or one of his vicious four-foot cronies hiding behind the shrubbery but instead she was surprised when, rather timidly, an even smaller boy appeared before her.
His hair was wild, curls ragged and matted with dirt, his cheeks were smudged with mud and his clothes were ripped and frayed. He carried nothing other than a small tattered teddy that was clutched in a tight palm, its legs dragging on the ground with each small step the child took. Dark eyes were on her hand and the fire burning bright above her skin and so, after a moment of staring rather dumbfoundedly at the boy, she closed her fist and extinguished it with a growing frown.
He didn’t look like one of Pan’s boys but she was no fool to Neverland’s ways, the land itself as terrible and manipulative as its leader so she moved no closer to the child but instead kept her eyes trained upon his, her head tilted in her studying.
“You can do magic?”
His little voice tugged at her heart, at the mother inside of her who ached to call him over and wipe away the tears she could see glistening on his cheeks, but if he was nothing more than a decoy, an illusion sent to leave her vulnerable to attack then she would never find her Henry and that was something she couldn’t risk. “I can,” she replied calmly and evenly, still watching him for signs of sudden movement but he simply stood and stared up at her with a quivering lip as he chewed at his thumb.
“My papa said that magic is bad,” he told her, his voice growing tight and his eyes watering. She guessed it to be at the mention of his father though she couldn’t say for sure as her head tilted even further, her brow furrowing as her eyes narrowed slightly because he didn’t seem to be a shapeshifting sprite nor could she detect any new magic in the air. He radiated an innocence that her very gut told her could not be fabricated.
Regina took a cautious step closer to the boy, breathing steadily with hands ready by her side as she asked “and where is your papa?”
His bottom lip wobbled once more as fresh tears trailed from his unblinking eyes, glistening in the starlight above them, “in the ‘chanted Forest”
Her ears perked at that, at the mention of a home that had once been her own. She softened both her stance and her demeanour a little when she asked “and why isn’t he here with you?”
“The man said that the shadow only comes for children,” he explained tearfully, “he told me to say some words and when it came I’d be okay but I wasn’t…” he was crying in earnest now, his cherubic face scrunched with distress, reliving the moment as he told her, “he took me from papa.”
“Why did the man want you to call for the shadow, sweetheart?” she couldn’t help the endearment as much as she couldn’t help but walk closer to him, her own expression sympathetic for his little cries were unbearably sad.
He hiccuped as he moved to speak, bringing the hand not holding his teddy up to rub at his eye before managing “he wanted to get to his Henny.”
Her blood ran cold at that, her lips parting on a gasp as she froze in place - Neverland suddenly felt a lot colder. “Wh-what,” she coughed lightly to clear her throat as she lightened her voice in an attempt not to frighten the boy even more, “what was the man’s name?” and when the child only continued to cry, sniffling, she asked “was it Neal?”
“Yeah!” he seemed to perk at that and instantly she was dropping to her knees before him, this child was not dangerous but he was most certainly lost. And Neal was alive ?
“Oh, sweetheart. I’m Regina. What’s your name? How long have you been here?” she asked, unsure of how to comfort the boy without frightening him though she was encouraged by the way he seemed to shuffle a little closer to her so that the toes of his tiny brown boots were half an inch from touching her knees.
“Roland.” He shook his head, his bottom lip pulled out in the most heartbreaking of pouts “I don’t know,” before he was trembling and falling into her open arms, “I wanna go home!”
“I know, little one” she soothed, holding him to her with an arm around his waist and a hand in his hair as she rocked them slowly from side to side in the hopes of comforting him, “so do I.”

Welcome to the MP100 "Outlawed Future! Au" - What if the casualties of [???] caused Espers to be banned nationwide?

Stay Alive (31)

Magical Creatures AU
Series Masterlist
Warnings: smut (MDNI)
A/N NOT BETA. YOU GUYS! I have a permanent taglist in my main masterlist if you wish to be added to my imagines. Taglist for my fics are currently not available though. It is currently closed for this story and my OUTLAW one. However if you wish to read my imagines (I have a couple coming out soon) Please be sure you check it out!
The area your grandparents lived in was surrounded by mountains. The town was small and consisted mostly of farmers who traveled by foot rather than car. Everything was close by so there was no need for such bug vehicles that only took up space. Reaching your childhood summer home, it made you smile as you passed by the same trees and winding roads.
It was night time though, and a good majority of the boys seemed to have huddled together as you took winding roads that were close to cliffs. They would cry about going slower on the turns. You shook your head, Namjoon in the passenger seat telling you that they were just scaredy cats.
So when the roads evened out and you were finally at your grandfather’s traditional home, they all piled out taking in the smells and sights. Well what they could see for the moment. As you grabbed your backpack, you noticed the lights still on in the house making you frown.
“Grandpa!” You called after knocking on the door. “What are you doing awake?”
You noticed the man wrapped in a blanket watching tv. He sat cross legged on the couch, cuddled into the cushions. You smiled at how adorable he looked, moving to take a seat next to him. When he turned to greet the boys, his face suddenly changed into one of shock as one by one the boys walked into the house.
“I was waiting for you.” He told you. “You told me you were coming with friends but I didn't think they were boys. And seven of them.” He spoke up, looking back at the boys.
“Yeah.” You said, standing up to stand next to them. “I'm sorry about it.”
“I don't know if there's beds for all of them.” He said.
You smiled as he didn’t seem to question why you had seven boys visiting him. You didn’t know how to break it to him yet that they were magical creatures. Now that you would have to leave the home for a while.
“Don't worry.” Namjoon told your grandpa. “We'll figure something out, sir.” He gave a dimple smile that made your grandpa nod his head.
“Well alright.” The old man nodded his head, coming to a stand from the couch.
“Let's go to bed, Grandpa.” You told him, leading the man to his bedroom. “We'll talk in the morning.”
After making sure your grandfather was in bed, you softly shut his door and walked back out to the other boys.
“Everything alright?” Jin asked you.
“Yes.” You nodded. “He might forget things but he means well.” You told them.
“It's no trouble for him?” Yoongi spoke up.
“Yeah.” You grinned. “He was excited to have me home.”
“This is where you grew up?” Jimin asked, looking around at the pictures your grandma had put up in the house.
“I'm from here.” You told them, leading them back out to take them to the second bedroom. “But I moved to Seoul for university. My grandparents were so excited to hear I was going.” You slide open the door, moving to the side.
“Four of you can sleep here.” You spoke up, looking around the small room. “The other three can sleep in the living room.” You turned back to them.
“I'll make the bedrolls.” Taehyung spoke up, looking for things to transfigure.
When you got them all settled, you went to check on the room that you often used. When you opened the door, Hobi had taken a peak in. While the others seemed to be talking to themselves, the man followed you around as he took in everything about the traditional home.
“Do you mind?” He asked when he stepped into your room.
“Not at all, Hobi.” You smiled, gathering some things to take to the boys for them to sleep comfortably.
When you returned back, Hobi was smiling over the trophies and ribbons you had from when you were in school.
“You were in dance?” He asked you when you returned.
“Yeah.” You smiled, looking at your pictures that showed you on stage or in an extravagant pose. “When I was a kid I had the dream of being an idol.”
“And?” Hobi suddenly looked at you with wide eyes, waiting for you to continue.
You laughed a little, remembering how long it was you wanted to be on stage and perform for people. But that changed when you got older.
“I like helping people more.” You told him. “My grandfather was the doctor in the village for a long while. I used to go to his clinic to watch him. It's where I found the love for medicine.”
“They would love you back home.” Hobi told you.
You noticed how well they seemed to be holding in their tears about finally being able to leave the facility. Had it been you in their place, you would have already started to bawling back in your apartment. And they had from what you vaguely remember hearing on the trip here. Some of them had slept and the others watched the passing scenery.
Namjoon was the only one who held a conversation with you, but he still kept his eyes on the road, lips trembling each time you would turn to look at him.
“How does it feel?” You asked. “To be going home soon?”
“I'm kinda scared.” He sniffled, looking down with a sad expression. “I missed so much.” Tears began to well in his eyes. “Did my family move on? Is my older sister doing okay? Does she have her own family? I'm sure all the boys feel that way.”
You frowned, reaching out to grab Hobi’s cheeks delicately between your hands. Giving him a smile when his eyes met yours, you leaned forward to place your forehead with his.
“Hey, I'm sure they're still waiting for you.” You told him. “A family never forgets one of their own.”
Hobi closed his eyes as he felt your heat radiant onto him. He could feel your energy calming him down. It wasn’t the same as Namjoon’s empathic abilities or Jin’s way of sensing someone’s aura, but it was his way of feeling someone’s true nature. Everyone had an energy about them that created the kind of person they were. And your’s was something that brought Hoseok comfort.
You looked up at him as he pulled away, a soft smile on your lips. “You mean a lot to us.” He told you, holding you by the waist. “The world we are from–we want to share it with you.”
“I’ll follow you.” With that Hobi softly placed his lips against yours.
Hoseok was passionate about everything he did. He put so much work into reaching the place he wanted to be–and even then sometimes it might not be enough for him. He wanted to make sure that others were able to appreciate what he did. He wanted people to know that he tried hard for each one of them.
It showed in the way he would take care of his brothers–in the way he would care for you if you ever had questions. It also showed in the way he kissed. You wanted to be there for him, let him know that all his efforts were being acknowledged. Just like Taehyung, Hobi also needed to be told how great he was when it came to magic. While he so obviously was someone who took charge, much like Namjoon, you wanted to have the chance to take care of one of them. If they allowed you to, that was.
When you pressed yourself closer to Hoseok, the man immediately placed his hands on your waist, keeping you from moving closer to him. You pulled away from him, keeping your forehead pressed to his.
“I know you want to take care of us, Hun.” He breathlessly spoke. “But trust me–us taking care of you means a lot more than you taking care of us.”
His lips brushed against yours one more time. “All you have to do is be ours.”
“I already am.”
His lips moved with more vigor this time, sucking in a large breath through his nose as he allowed his inhibitions to leave his body. His hands moved down to the back of your thighs, quickly gathering them between his hands and pushing you to jump. Your ankles locked behind him, his hands holding you up but gripping onto your backside.
His fingers touched the folds between your legs causing you to flinch from the tickle. It was a light touch that had you grinding your hips down. Hobi pulled back from the kiss giggling to himself at how you seemed to wither from his touch.
He moved you over to the bed, softly placing you down as he pulled back to look at you fully. Every touch he seemed to give you made you giggle, your body buzzing from nerves. Anything that seemed to touch your skin caused you to wiggle away from it.
“I’m not even doing anything.” Hobi laughed.
“I’m sensitive.” You breathed out.
“Were you like this for the others?” He teased leaning down to brush his lips against yours.
“Not this much.” You told him honestly.
“You’re buzzing. I can feel your energy–it’s intoxicating.” He explained.
His fingers moved down to your pants, pulling at them slightly. When you raised your hips up, he used it as permission to take it all off. When he finished taking off your pants he pulled his shirt over his head, feeling overstimulated with the fabric touching his skin.
You watched as he rolled his shoulder around, his fingertips gripping onto the skin of your thighs to help ground him back from the sensitivity. You laughed lightly, seeing as he was going through the same thing.
The slight sting that came to your thigh had you gasping, looking at Hoseok with wide eyes. He glared playfully, giving you a scolding. “Don’t laugh.” He told you.
You pressed your lips together to keep from smiling, nodding your head. You pulled your own shirt off wanting to feel Hoseok’s skin against yours. After you did, you tugged on his arm, wanting him to place his body over yours.
However he quickly gathered both of your hands and shoved them above your head, keeping them from moving. He did lay down against you, his chest pressing against yours causing you to sigh and arch further into him.
“We’ll get to it, Hun.” He whispered. “Be patient.”
“Hobi.” You whine, lips forming a pout.
He laughed slightly. “You’ve had the others. It’s my turn.” He kissed you one last time before standing back up.
You sat up a little to watch him take off his pants and boxers. Once he was fully naked, you felt your heart rate spike and had to curl your fist into a ball to keep from reaching out for him. Once he got comfortable, he places his knees on the edge of the bed, making you spread your knees.
You squeaked, suddenly feeling shy over the whole thing, trying your hardest to close your legs again. However Hoseok kept his hands on them, keeping your legs open for him to fit between them.
“What happened?” He teased. “Why are you trying to fight me?” He kissed his teeth, thrusting his hips forward to nudge his length against your core.
The noise he got from you made him smile evilly, moving his hips back and forth as his length became wet with your slick. He sucked in a breath, using his thumb to keep his length nestled between your lips.
“Wait like a good little mate.” Hoseok whispered, being mesmerized by the way your core clenched around nothing.
Each time the tip would get caught on the hood of your slit, he would bite his lip nudging the spot harder as you seemed to react to it as well. He moved back a bit, grabbing your ankles to hold them up and close them. His head tipped back as your thighs added to the stimulation.
You whined and bucked your hips, huffing each time his tip would catch on your entrance. You would try to move against him to make him enter but he was quicker than you and moved before you could do anything.
“If you don’t stop, I will.” Hoseok warned, crawling back between your legs to hold your hips down.
As he watched you wither against the bed, he smiled sweetly. “Does the baby want me to fuck her?” He pouted.
Leaning over, he moved some of your hair away from your face, pecking your lips as he nudged his knees closer to your thighs to get comfortable.
“Hobi.” You whined out.
“Since you helped us so much.” He whispered. “You deserve everything you want.”
He leaned up for a moment, grabbing onto his length to line it up with your entrance. You groaned out, trying to be quiet by focusing all your thoughts into gripping the sheets. When he pushed forward you let out a whimper that was music to Hoseok’s ears. The way your toes curled behind him. The way you seemed to clench your thigh muscles to allow the nerves of everything to go down your body.
And when he started to move, he had to hold you down to keep from separating too far. As he watched his length disappear in and out of you, his breathing seemed to go ragged. He was so focused on the way his hips moved you began to grow mesmerized with the way Hobi was so focused on you.
His look of bliss made a shiver go down your body, starting the build up of your orgasm. As your whimpers grew to be quick and whiny, Hoseok looked up, shifting his legs just a bit, causing him to hit the edge of your core.
You grunted out, crying as you felt full from his ministrations. He leaned back over to your face, continuing to move inside you.
“Pretty girl,” He cooed. “Are you close?” He asked.
“Hobi.” You whined shutting your eyes closed.
You were quick to grip onto his shoulders, fingers messaging into his skin.
He groaned when he felt you clench. “Come on. Let go for me.”
With a cry of his name, the bubble that had formed burst and you were seeing stars. Hobi groaned out loud going faster in order to finish with you. And the way your core seemed to clench onto him from the overstimulation and pulsed around him, it was easy to find release.
His groans were amazing, something you could hear all the time. Just like some of the other boys, Hobi was someone who enjoyed performing and showing off. And when he released onto your thighs, you let out a quiet moan from the warm feeling.
Hoseok panted as he turned onto the side of the bed for a rest. He only needed a few moments to get back up and help to clean you. However as he watched you play with his cum on your thighs he seemed to gulp and take in a deep breath.
You turned to look at him, eyes hooded as a lay smile was on your face. “You okay?” You asked quietly.
“More than okay.” He grinned.

Resurrected: Breakthrough
Summary: Robin and Roland reach a turning point in their feelings over Regina.
@queen-of-the-merry-men prompted a family therapy session with Roland and Robin, with the former asking a pretty important question about forgiveness and moving forward. Major thanks to her for helping me with Roland moving forward and re-building his relationship with Regina.
Also on AO3
Robin didn’t exactly know what went on in Roland’s sessions with Archie. He had offered to go numerous times, but Roland always said no. He let the space be private and didn’t ask Archie what was going on, as he assumed that Roland was saying the same things to him as he did his father. The one thing he did notice was the slow process of Roland coming around to Regina. He wouldn’t hide in his room during her time with him and he’d even respond if she asked him a question. Still, according to Regina they hadn’t had an actual conversation and she still didn’t think he thought of her as mom. If anything, Robin assumed Archie would call Regina in for a group session, but instead it was he that was invited in.
He wasn’t sure what to say as he sat next to his son on the couch. Archie was jotting down some things in his notebook and Robin wasn’t sure what it could be, considering that they had been silent for a few moments.
“So, last week, I really felt that Roland and I hit a break through,” Archie said. “He told me that he still loves his mother and he’s willing to work on a relationship with her.”
“That’s great.” Robin smiled down at Roland.
“The only issue is, he’s not sure how much he really wants to.”
“What do you mean?”
“Roland wants to forgive Regina, but he’s been struggling with it. As a result, he ends up feeling pretty bad about himself.”
Robin put an arm around his son. “You don’t have to feel bad about that. Your feelings are your own. No one blames you for this.”
Roland nodded. “I know,” he mumbled.
“Roland understands why Regina did what she did,” Archie continued. “But he still struggles to let her be his mom. While we were talking last session, I really tried to force out the why. His answer made me want both of you in here.”
Robin tilted his head, looking down at his son. Roland shifted a bit in his seat, clearly uncomfortable. There was a time when Roland had been very vocal about his feelings. He’d let you know what was going on, when he felt it and didn’t care about the consequences. It had been an endearing trait and after Regina’s “death”, it made helping him get through a bit easier. Since she came back, he had been shutting himself away. He didn’t want to talk about the situation, outside letting Robin know that under no uncertain terms that he didn’t want to be around her.
“It’s okay, Roland,” Archie said. “This is a safe place. Your dad loves you and he just wants to help you.”
Roland nodded and cleared his throat. “I don’t get how I’m supposed to look at her as my mom, when you won’t look at her as your wife.”
Robin was stunned. Out of all of the things Roland could’ve said, this was the least of what he had been expecting.
“Well…Roland, it’s a little different. Your mom and I have been through a lot.”
“So, have I with her. She hurt all of us, but I’m supposed to see her as my mom. You won’t even let her move in.”
“Roland, just because I don’t have your mom living with us, doesn’t mean she’s not family. She’s still your mom, she’s still someone I love very much.” Robin watched as Roland got a weird look on his face. “What?”
“Robin,” Archie said. “Have you told your children that you still love Regina before all this?”
“I…”
Robin racked his brain. The truth was, they hadn’t talked much about their own relationship with the kids. All they had really said was that they needed to live separately and that they were still a family. He had told Regina he still loved her, he had told himself, heck he had even told Kathryn…but had he really not told his kids?
“I guess I haven’t,” he whispered.
“You still love her, even though she hurt you?” Roland asked.
“Of course I do. Buddy, your mom…she is such a special woman. She has always lit my world on fire and there will never be a day that I don’t love her.”
“Then why aren’t you together?”
“Because…even if I do love her, I can’t trust her right now. She lied to me and even though she had very good reasons, that still hurts. And it’s hard to have a relationship with someone, without trust.”
Robin sighed, running his fingers through his son’s hair. Henry grew up really fast after his mother was gone, now it seemed that Roland was also growing up just as fast with her return. He hated it. He wished that his kids could just stay young and innocent, and not have to worry about any of it.
“But Roland, just because I am not ready to be in a relationship with her right now, doesn’t mean that you don’t have to be. She is your mom and she loves you so much. You kids are the most important thing to her. If you feel that you’re ready to have her be your mom again, then let her. Don’t wait for me to be ready to have her be my wife.”
Roland nodded. “Are you ever going to be ready?”
“I don’t know bud, I don’t know. I just know that I am working on it.”
They spent the rest of the session discussing Roland’s feelings on Regina. It ended with the young boy agreeing to at least talk to her and hear what she had to say. The car ride home was silent, with Roland reading a book and Robin keeping his eyes focused on the road. He thought of Roland’s questions and it brought up an even bigger one. He didn’t trust Regina at the moment. He loved her, God knew that, but he didn’t trust her. The big question was, did he want to be able to trust her again? Did he want to be a family again, be husband and wife like they once were?
The answer “yes”, surprised him.

OTPtober Day 6 - Innocence
It all started with a smile.
After she rescued him from the flying monkey, Roland had toddled over to her and gave her a big smile. He then thanked her and kissed her cheek before returning to his father’s side, hugging the monkey she had given him. Regina sat there in surprise that he would do that and when she met his father’s eyes, the thief gave her a small smile before turning back to his conversation with Charming and Snow.
He and Roland had the same dimples.
That was not fair.
She looked away, telling herself to get a grip. Roland was a sweet kid but his father was a thief, a common criminal who lived in the woods and smelled like it. There was nothing attractive about him in any way.
Besides, she had more important things to worry about than Robin Hood.
Like whoever had taken over her castle and was sending the flying monkeys after them.
“Majesty?” a little voice asked. She turned back to find Roland stood next to her again. “Can Monkey and I eat with you?”
“Don’t you want to eat with your papa and your uncles?” she asked, surprised the little boy wanted to spend any time with the Evil Queen. No doubt he had already heard tales warning him to stay away from her.
So why wasn’t he?
He shook his head, climbing onto the chair next to hers and sitting there. “I want to eat with you.”
“Oh,” she said, feeling torn. Her plan had been to take her meal to the room she had claimed in their hideout. But she didn’t want to disappoint the sweet boy looking up at her with such admiration.
And for a moment, his dark curls transformed into lighter brown hair and his brown eyes became hazel. Little Henry gazed at her with the same expression, his smile brightening up the room.
Gods she missed him.
“Majesty?” Roland asked. “Are you okay?”
She smiled, seeing Roland again. “I am, sweetheart. And I would love to share my meal with you.”
He beamed at her, crawling onto her lap to snuggle against her. “Thank you, Majesty.”
“Roland, it’s time for dinner,” Little John called, eyeing Regina warily. No doubt he didn’t trust her with the young boy.
Roland shook his head. “I’m eating with Majesty.”
“I think you should eat with us,” Little John said, motioning for him to come over. “It’ll be...”
“Fine,” Robin interjected, clapping his friend on the shoulder before smiling at his son. “You can eat with the Queen.”
Roland cheered and accepted a plate from Friar Tuck. After doing the same, Regina set hers aside to focus on the boy on her lap. “Do you need any help?” she asked him.
“No,” he said. “I’m a big boy.”
She smiled, remembering when Henry was his age and had insisted on doing everything himself because he was a big. Regina nodded. “Okay. Well, if you do need help, you can always ask me.”
“Okay, Majesty,” he said, picking at his food and placing small bits into his mouth. She monitored him as she started to eat her own meal.
“May I join you?” She looked up to find the Thief standing over them with his own plate, smiling softly at them.
Regina looked at Roland. “What do you say?”
He thought it over before nodding. “Papa can join us.”
“Thank you,” he said, taking a seat near them and started to eat.
As they ate, Roland told her all about his adventures living in the woods with his father and the Merry Men. Regina listened intently, nodding and making comments where appropriate. He clearly basked in her attention, happy to have a new friend.
Once he had eaten his fill, he leaned against her chest and his eyes started to close. She raked her hands through his thick curls, just like she used to do with Henry. “Are you sleepy, sweetheart?” she asked him.
“Just a little,” he replied. “I’m fine, though.”
She chuckled, recognizing the same stubbornness Henry had shown as well. “Okay. You just rest.”
He nodded and she rubbed his back. Within minutes, his breathing evened out and he grew limp on her lap. She held him close, relishing having a sleeping child in her arms again.
The Thief stood and held out his hands. “I’ll take your plates,” he said quietly.
She managed to hand him their empty plates without jostling Roland. With her hands now free, she was able to rock him now. Regina started to hum a lullaby she used to use with Henry, her heart hurting as she thought of the son who no longer remembered her.
Hopefully he was happy and safe wherever he and Emma had ended up.
“You have the touch of a mother,” the Thief said, sitting down again. He smiled sadly. “It’s something my son has been lacking.”
She glanced down at a sleeping Roland before looking back up to the Thief. For all his other faults, it was clear to her that he was a loving father who cared about his son. So Regina offered him a rare compliment. “He has you. And while I know it may not feel like it, you are enough for him.”
The Thief gave her a soft smile, revealing those dimples again. He then stood, holding out his arms. “I’ll take him. I’m sure he’ll be more comfortable in bed.”
Regina did not want to relinquish Roland but knew his father was correct. So she pressed a kiss to his forehead before handing him to the Thief. He nodded before walking off to put his son to bed.
She stood, deciding it was time for her to go to bed. Regina didn’t speak to anyone else as she approached the bed that had been designated to her. Pulling the curtain to give herself privacy, she used her magic to change into pajamas. Regina climbed into the bed and pulled the blanket over her body, waiting for sleep to claim her.
As she drifted off, Regina saw the image of two boys - one older with brown hair, one younger with dark curls - playing in her yard in Storybrooke while she sat on her porch with a blond man. Though his face wasn’t completely visible, she still knew who it was.
The Thief.

Firsts [OQ - Part II]
A First Curse AU. For OQ Angst Fest, Day 2. Prompts 48, 13, 5, 24, 44.
part i | part ii
Regina learned of his life, in pieces, starting with its not-quite-end. There’d been a robbery gone awry, the wrong end of a blade turned against him, and the owner of a pawn shop waiting to press charges if he ever woke up.
Her soulmate would be some kind of criminal.
But it was her magic that had pulled him under, not anything he’d ever done to deserve it, and did it really matter what was real, or wasn’t?
She could never allow him to wake up.
She had no choice, after all.
(She let herself believe it for a while.)
…
He had a son.
Mop-haired, and always bright-eyed with hope at his side, until one of the boy’s guardians came to retrieve him each day.
“Papa?” He’d pat a small hand to his cheek before going. “Can you please wake up tomorrow, please?”
“Pardon us, Madam Mayor,” his many uncles would say, but one of them had started to look too closely, too curious about her each time their eyes met.
Regina learned to keep her distance from them. She couldn’t stand for reminders of some family he’d never get back, this man who’d once been meant to be hers.
…
She made the mistake of lingering, one day.
When the boy turned that deep-dimpled grin on her, she didn’t know how to leave.
She tried to forget when he told her his name.
One day turned to two. Three. At some point, she stopped keeping track.
The clock tower ticked on. Was time moving forward, she wondered, or was it counting down instead?
She couldn’t stay any longer.
“Please don’t leave,” said the boy. “I don’t want to lose you, too.”
Regina thought of her Henry, of how she’d tried, of how he’d run.
“I’m not going anywhere,” she promised.

WWII AU where Killian returns home from war alongside Robin, Liam, Will and Dr. Whale.
Rating: General Audience
Word Count: 1292
Author’s Note: This is a lil one shot that was sort of inspired by the starting scene from Love Actually where families were being reunited and I am a sucker for soldiers returning to their family videos because they are so goddamn sweet. Plus this is my first ever fic that I have posted.
A03
“The German War therefore is at an end.” Emma Jones repeated those words to herself, who knew eight words could be so powerful? Who knew eight words had the power to make her seven year old son jump for joy? Most importantly, who knew eight words had the power to let her believe her husband would be back from the war?
Emma was frantic with worry when a letter from her husband had not come in ages, she thought the worst, but her boy, their boy, Henry, gave her hope. If he believed that his Papa would be back soon, then he would. Henry Jones was like any other young chap his age, he would come home with dirt and grime on his clothes and underneath his fingernails from playing and he had a wild imagination. But most importantly, his parents believed he had the heart of the truest believer. So his belief that his Papa would be back home to tuck him in every night with a story and a kiss on the forehead made Emma worry a little lesser.
The Joneses resided in New York before the start of the war, but were eventually evacuated to a quaint seaside town in Maine where they would live with her mother and father David and Mary Margaret on their farm after Killian and her younger brother Leo were shipped off. The name of that town was Storybrooke. Everyday, without fail, Henry Jones would walk down a forest path which led to a well that was tucked away behind some trees and bushes. He would take a nickel out from his pocket, squeeze his eyes shut and wish that his Papa would come back home. He would kiss the nickel before tossing it into the well.
Henry often assured his mother that his father would return soon, especially when they hadn’t heard from him in a while.
Ever since Emma’s eyes captured the eight bold black letters that grazed the front cover of the newspaper, she felt lighter. They had been very lucky as they weren’t the recipients of any letters of condolences, but that didn’t stop Emma from worrying.
Until the day came, the day Emma had been anticipating for what felt like an eternity. News of naval vessels had been reported docking at Storybrooke port. As soon as she caught wind of it, she lifted her boy up onto her hip (despite his groaning from being woken at such an ‘ungodly’ hour) and sprinted out of the house.
---
The pier was crowded with people waiting to see their loved ones again, Emma and Henry spotted Belle and Ruby amongst the crowd of thousands nervously anticipating the arrival of their loved ones.
“Emma, Henry, Waiting for Killian I suppose, you should all come over for lunch tomorrow!”
Emma turned around and was met with kind blue eyes and white blonde hair.
“Elsa! Yes that would be lovely. I think Henry is excited to see his Uncle Liam again” Emma said as she nodded to Henry who was asleep and had his head tucked in the crook of neck.
Elsa chortled and focused her attention back to the ships. Soon, the men started disembarking. Emma heard the delighted squeal of the usually quiet Belle as she caught sight of Will Scarlet walking down the gangplank, Belle sprinted forward and threw herself at Will. He dropped his possessions, caught her in his arms and spun her around.
Emma then caught a flash of red as Ruby rushed towards Victor Whale who had been a medic to the troops and watched as they clung onto each other for dear life, his nose pressed to her brunette hair before he shut his eyes and sighed deeply.
“HENRY!” shouted a young voice
Henry’s woke up with a jolt to be greeted by Roland Hood tugging at his foot.
“Roland, sweetheart, calm down.” chided Regina Mills-Hood softly, before hoisting him up onto her hip as well, to give him a better view.
Emma’s heart was beating out of her chest as she scanned the crowd for Killian, and to her utmost relief, he stood on the deck of one of the many ships, alongside Liam and Robin, their hair billowed in the breeze as they too made their way down the gangplank.
“Henry, Henry, wake up baby. Look who’s home” she whispered into Henry’s ear
Henry stirred and looked out into the crowd, it didn’t take him long to catch sight of the familiar face that tucked him in at night that promised him with a kiss on the forehead and a bone crushing hug that he would come home. He slipped out of his mother’s arms and ran towards his father.
“PAPA!” he shouted, beside himself with excitement.
Killian whipped his head forward, dropped his belongings and crouched down with his arms outstretched.
He gathered his boy into his arms and peppered him with kisses, Henry would normally groan at all the affection that he was receiving but instead, he giggled with pleasure. Happy to be in his father’s arms again.
“I missed you so much mboy! Oh look how much you’ve grown, you’re going to be taller than your old man soon!”Killian exclaimed. Henry beamed with pride at that exaggerated remark and nuzzled his head into his father’s chest
“I protected Mama like you said I had to, I promise you that.” Henry said, his voice slightly muffled, Killian smiled warmly at his son and looked out into the crowd again. He caught sight of the blonde tresses that he was so enamored with, the same blonde tresses that he had brushed his fingers through. That he held when he dipped her for a kiss on their wedding day. He moved forward quickly, so as to taste those lips again. They kissed passionately, eventually pulling apart for air, but that didn’t stop Emma from peppering kisses all over Killian’s face.
“I’ve said this in my letters but, I need to say it to you again, there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by where I didn’t think of you and Henry...Umpf”
Emma cut him off with another kiss.
All around them, loved ones were being reunited, Robin and Regina gazed into each others eyes as they held Roland between them, Liam held Elsa in his arms as she sobbed happily into his uniform, they pulled apart for a split second when young Henry bounded up to them to say hello to his Uncle Liam, to give his parents a moment alone.
---
The crowd on the pier started to disperse as Emma, Killian and Henry made their way back to the farm with David and Mary Margaret after being reunited with Emma’s younger brother Leo.
Henry sat on his father’s shoulders as they entered the property, the family dog Wilby bounded up to Leo and Killian before he barked and wagged his tail at the pair, happy to have their family whole again.
The Joneses settled themselves in their cottage that was situated a short distance away from the main house. Killian tugged Emma towards his chest and held her close before pressing a kiss to her hair
“Emma, love, I’ve missed you, there are no words that can describe my joy to finally be home.”
“But this isn’t really home.”
Killian pulled away from Emma slightly, and frowned, his brow crinkled in the process.
“Love, I’ve told you countless times, I do not care where we are, we could be living in the middle of a junkyard for all I know, but I know for a fact that you and Henry are my home. As long as I have you two, I’m home.” Killian said
“You’re such a sap.”
“But I’m your sap.”
“Welcome home, Killian.”
“I’m glad to be home love.”

Fix it Daddy?
read it on the AO3 at https://archiveofourown.org/works/33501082
by CinnaTwist
He is not ready for the picture that floods the screen when he opens the phone.
The man is gorgeous. Pretty in a way Jason’s never seen in real life before. It’s probably a filter, one of those fancy ones to smooth out features that people are fond of. Though it's hard to tell which one in the brightly lit bathroom.
Dick Grayson is beautiful. His blue eyes and caramel skin are so vivid and rich it makes the rest of the bathroom dull in comparison. The smile that greets him is wide enough to show dimples, body in an angle that must be uncomfortable. The pull of the soft looking blue shirt upwards shows off cut abs and a body that makes Jason self conscious. Especially with the way that plump, plush ass sits on the edge of the counter.
The text that splays over the picture makes him choke.
‘ Please fix my water daddy. “
Ah Jesus- a certifiable himbo.

AO3
A love for music unites an unlikely pair. The rhapsody they unknowingly created will give life to the hope they still have in their hearts.
Killian Jones and his older brother Liam had arrived from London with nothing more than the clothes on their back to pursue a music career. The lives of the Jones brothers had been difficult since the beginning. Their mother died at a young age and their father had decided he was not made to be a family man.
The Jones brothers had formed The Outlaws with some fellow expatriates they met along the way. The venues they played weren't the best, but they managed to make a name for themselves enough to have steady gigs.
Emma Nolan had grown up with loving parents but after an unfortunate accident, she was left alone. Afterwards, her grandfather took her in. George Spencer was an ill-tempered man. He wasn't a doting person, which caused Emma to become closed off. She focused on solace in the cello. Thankfully, the man valued pomp and grandeur so, at the thought of his granddaughter attending Juilliard, he eagerly made it possible.
On a rare night out with her best friend Elsa, they decide to go to listen to a little-known rock band called The Outlaws they saw fliers for. It was love at first sight. The lead singer mesmerized the young cellist with his voice. The girls waited for the band to finish their set to introduce themselves to them. Elsa and Emma fit in with the band perfectly. The Jones brothers had quickly gravitated towards the blonde beauties.
Emma and Killian had slowly drifted away from the group. It ended up being the most magical night for the young lovers above New York's Washington Square.
Months later, Emma finds out she is pregnant. Somehow, she already loves her kid so much. Her grandfather makes his displeasure known, however, every moment of her pregnancy.
The day her life changed was gloomy and rainy. After an argument with George, Emma had gone to the store to buy some last-minute things for her baby. The drunk driver came out of nowhere. When she gives birth prematurely, her grandfather takes advantage while she is unconscious and gives the baby girl up for adoption. The moment Emma wakes up, she is told the news that her baby is dead. The news shatters her musical dreams and any hope of happiness.
You're not special. You're just like the rest of us... alone, nothing but an orphan.
The music... Can you hear it? Listen... I can hear it everywhere.
It's in the wind ...
in the light...
It's all around us.
All you have to do is open your heart and listen.
Sometimes the world tries to knock the hope out of you.
They tried to stop me from hearing the music...
I believe in music the way others believe in fairy tales. When I'm alone it builds inside me eager to erupt into a melody. I like to believe that what I hear came from my parents. That the music I hear is the same one they heard the night they met...
Maybe that's how they found each other and that's how they'll know I am theirs and find me...
Hope Swan had grown up in foster care. As a baby, she had been adopted but returned once the couple was blessed with their own flesh and blood. After that, she bounced from foster home to foster home.
In her shared room at the group home, she's currently at, Hope records herself humming a song that keeps playing in her mind, but is rudely interrupted by her roommate who mocks her. "You are not special. You're just like us, an unwanted orphan."
The girl walks away, slamming the door.
Hope's eyes water at the mean girl's words. She knows it in her heart that she is wanted and someday she will find her parents. She continues recording her humming of the song in her heart.
Hope is now eleven years old. She stands in the back of the group as one of the younger girls is adopted by a couple. Maybe she should be bitter and want to be adopted but if she was, she would never find her parents. They're out there and she will find them.
Hope runs away once more from her group home. Living on the streets she makes friends easily, but is still guarded. She knows that someday her parents will come looking for her. All she wants is to go home.
As she wanders the streets, runaway Hope Swan is getting closer to find her home. She knows she will find her family. All she has to do is listen to the music in her heart and follow it.
A kind man, Merlin, is assigned Hope Swan's case. She wasn't a trouble maker, but she was reportedly closed off with the couples. He is notified that she has run away. She has a history of running away. The picture of the young girl saddens him. He wishes he can find her and place her in a good home. She is a pretty girl, with blonde hair, vibrant sea-blue eyes, dimples, and a slightly dimpled chin. He posts her picture on the board.
Emma Nolan had moved away after losing her daughter. Her little girl, her grandfather told her the baby was a tiny girl. The heartbreak led her to become a music teacher to kids. She was always surrounded by children and music. That was the way she chose to honor her child. An unexpected call from her grandfather's doctor makes her break a promise she had made to herself years ago. He is the only family she has left.
Once she arrives at his house, she is summoned to his death bed.
His eyes tear up. "I thought you wouldn't come."
"I don't hate you Grandpa, but my heart hasn't healed. Time will never heal this wound," she sniffled.
He closes his watery eyes. "I think I can help with that."
Emma gets closer to his bed, confused. "How can you say that? My child is gone! You didn't want her, so you threw her away while I slept. You took that away from me. I couldn't hold her!"
"Emma, enough!" he screams, then immediately starts coughing from the effort.
"I'm sorry, I made a mistake. I know now that family is precious, that image doesn't matter. Emma, I have a confession. I hope it's not too late and that you will find it in your heart to forgive me."
Emma stares at him.
"She's alive. Your little girl is alive."
"What? How can you be so cruel and say that to me!" Emma says with disbelief and tears pooled in her eyes.
"Because it's the truth. She is alive. I gave her up for adoption, and I was the one who signed the papers. I was your next of kin since you weren't married."
Emma gapes at the old man as she let her limp body drop to the chair next to his bed. "You gave my daughter away as if she was property because I embarrassed you?"
George Spencer can't keep his eyes on his granddaughter. The once-proud man weakened by age and disease casts his eyes down in shame. "In my safe, you will find the documents."
"What good will that do me?" Emma asks.
"Emma, my attorney can help you find her," he says quietly.
"But-"
"Emma, if your parents were here, they would tell you that you should never lose hope," he says.
Emma stands up. "You're right, I'm going to find my daughter."
George sighs as he falls into a deep sleep, his machines flatlining. The nurse that had given them privacy to talk rushes in as soon as the machine goes off.
Emma finds the papers and with trembling hands, calls Mr. Gold, the attorney.
The man is a ruthless slimy bastard. He tries to convince Emma that her kid is better off where she is. Of course, he would say that seeing he had helped her grandfather do this to her; he was just covering his ass. She doesn't care about that. All she wants is to get her kid. She has a daughter and she is out there. She hopes to God that she is being taken care of.
Killian Jones had moved to California not long after The Outlaws broke up. He had given up his dream of singing, but somehow had managed to gain a thriving career as an agent.
He had also distanced himself from the memory of Emma. After the band broke up, his brother and former bandmates had moved to Boston. Killian thought the further away he could get would be better, though. He tried forgetting her, but he knew he could never forget her. It was only one night, but he would belong to her for the rest of time.
Liam had called him a few days prior to ask if he wanted to join them in a reunion of sorts. They were going to play at the little place where he had met Emma. The joint was going out of business so in an effort to raise money to save it, The Outlaws had agreed to come out of retirement for one night only.
Killian had yet to agree, but 'what if' rattled in his brain. Something inside him tugged at his heart. A man unwilling to fight for what he wants gets what he deserves, Liam had told him over and over. He decides he will do it. He will fly to New York and look for Emma. He prays to every deity he can that she is not married. It's a selfish thought, but he couldn't bear it if she isn't meant for him.
Killian picks up the phone and dials his brother's number. "Liam, I'll be there."
"Brother, you'll do it? What happened to never setting foot in New York?" Liam asks.
"Liam, are you going to question my decision? I thought you would be happy," Killian says through gritted teeth.
"I am, I am. I'm just surprised. Killian, this doesn't have anything to do with her, does it?"
"Brother," Killian sighs, "Even if it was, I don't have a way to contact her." Sure he was lying, but his brother didn't have to know all his reasons.
"We are driving out there," Liam says.
"I'll fly. I will text you the details once I've made arrangements," Killian says.
"Alright, see you then," Liam adds. "Brother, it's going to be good seeing you after so long. I miss you."
Killian sighs. "I miss you too."
The line disconnects. Alright Emma Nolan, what have you been up to? he thinks as he enters her name in the browser's search engine. He had thought of looking for her before, but he had never found any sign of her online. He knows her family has money but somehow she has managed to stay hidden. The only information that would come up was of her grandfather's business deals. His heart tells him that this time, though, things would be different.
Sure enough, he finds one headline: "George Spencer dies at home after a long battle with heart disease."
Killian reads the headline carefully and his heart sparks with hope to see Emma again. The newspaper lists her as the sole survivor of her grandfather's Estate. That means she would have to be at his home. He winces at the thought. He knows that his method to approach her while grieving will be considered to be in bad form, but if it is the only chance he has, he has to make the best of the situation. He takes a deep breath and alters his flight plans so he can arrive a couple of days earlier.
Mr. Gold had changed his tune when Emma didn't fall for his manipulations and offered his services. Emma reluctantly accepted his help. He told her to give him a couple of hours and at that time, he would have information to make her search easier. He quickly found out that her daughter had ended up in foster care. He gave her the name of the caseworker assigned to Hope Swan. That was her baby's name. Emma tries to ignore the fact that her daughter is in the care of the state. She wonders what she looks like? Does she take after her or him? Killian Jones, he had never left her thoughts, but before it was painful to think of him because inevitably her thoughts would end on her daughter. Emma smiles, realizing how fitting the name Hope was for their daughter. Emma thanks Mr. Gold and goes to see Merlin Wilde.
Emma arrives at the CPS office. Her nerves are getting the best of her. She approaches the information desk. "Excuse me, I'm looking for Mr. Wilde?"
The woman looks bored. "Do you have an appointment?"
Emma shakes her head. "No, I'm sorry. I must speak to him, though."
The woman rolls her eyes. "Fill out the sign-in sheet. I will see if he can fit you in today." She gets up and heads to a door behind her desk.
Emma is about to sit down when something catches her eye. Pictures of missing kids. Runaways. She gravitates to the board. Her heart is beating so fast as her eyes land on a name, Hope Swan. Emma smiles as she stares at blue eyes that reminded her of the pair that stole her heart all those years back. The sound of someone clearing their throat startles her.
"I'm sorry for startling you, Miss Nolan. I'm Merlin Wilde." He smiles at her as he looks over her sign-in sheet and signals for her to follow him.
"Oh, no it's okay. Yes, I wanted to speak to you in private. My situation is not a common story," Emma says as she follows him to his office.
They enter his office and he kindly motions for her to take a seat.
Emma looks around the office. She tries to get a feel for the man. He seems kind, but looks can be deceiving.
"Miss Nolan, how may I help you? Is there a child in a situation you are concerned about?"
Emma nods. "Mr. Wilde, yes, in fact, that is the reason why I'm here."
"Alright," he starts taking notes. "May I have the child's name?"
"Hope Swan," Emma says. "I'm her mother."
Merlin looks up from his computer. "I'm sorry," he says as he types rapidly on his computer keyboard, before looking up quizzically. "Her case says she is in the care of Mrs. Emerald."
"I'm afraid you misunderstood me. I'm Hope's biological mother." She takes a deep breath. "I was young and unmarried when I got pregnant with her, and my grandfather didn't think having a child was appropriate." Her eyes begin to sting because of the tears. "He took it upon himself to decide that giving my daughter away while I was unconscious because of an accident was the appropriate decision to make. Until recently, I thought Hope was dead. I'm here because I need your help getting my daughter back. I understand she is in foster care, so it shouldn't be a big deal, right?"
Merlin keeps his eyes on her and laughs. "She is a good kid, the people that had fostered her before never had a complaint about her. She loves music and she always hummed a melody to herself. She was just not open to letting them in. It's like she knew she didn't belong there. I'm afraid that has caused her to run away on several occasions. I was just informed she ran away from the last home."
Emma's eyes tear up. "I loved my daughter from the moment I knew she was there. I used to play a song on the cello for her that her father sang the night we met. Until the day I thought I had lost her, I played the same song. I need to find her."
"And we will, Miss Nolan. I have put up fliers all over the city."
Emma nods. "I will look for her myself. I plan on hiring a private investigator. Could I have a picture of her?"
"Of course, Miss Nolan. I will do all in my power to help get your daughter back. I'm going to go looking for her at Washington Square Park. That is a hot spot for runaways. If you would like to join me? We might get lucky," he says as he hands her the picture of Hope from her file.
Emma smiles. "Sure, I will. Thank you for asking."
Hope is sitting on a bench at Washington Square Park and then she hears some music playing. Instantly, she is drawn to it. A boy around her age is playing the guitar. She smiles wide and sits down to enjoy the show. People surround the boy as he plays and they drop change on a baseball cap on the floor. Once he finishes playing, the boy picks up his cap and puts the money in his pocket. He grabs his guitar and thanks the crowd before leaving.
Curious, Hope follows him to an abandoned theatre.
Killian arrives on the first flight of the day. He rents a car and makes his way to the Nolan Estate. He is a nervous wreck. What will Emma think of him showing up unannounced? He hopes she will be happy to see him.
The boy Hope was following introduces himself as Henry. She likes him. He is nice and he promptly explains that all the runaway children live there. They had been taken in by Walsh Oz, the "Wizard". The man provides a roof over their head and food.
"Don't worry, Hope. He will teach you how to perform in street corners to pay for your part. If you're lucky and any good, he will let you use one of the park's spots," Henry says. "When he gets home with food, I will introduce you."
Hope thinks to herself it couldn't be that bad. This way, she won't be picked on for playing music.
Henry smiles fondly at Hope. "So why did you run away?"
Hope smiles back. "I'm going to find my parents. How about you?"
"My adoptive mom didn't love me." He shrugs. "Hope, I know you will find them."
Hope beams. "Thank you, but how can you believe so?"
Henry smiles. "I have a feeling that you will find them and then you will have your happy ending."
The Wizard hadn't always lived in condemned buildings. He once had been a success in his art but lost it due to some scandal years ago, but he could still spot talent. The young girl Henry had brought to him had loads of talent. She had played a song that most of the other kids couldn't play. The girl was magical. She appeared to be a musical genius with savant-like abilities and perfect pitch. He knows he could make a good living off of that girl. He smiles wickedly as the girl plays with his prized guitar, Roxanne. "Well, looks like we found our top earner thanks to Henry," The Wizard says to the group. He pulls Hope to the side. "Alright, you are going to be in my old spot at the park and you will be using Roxanne." He scrutinizes her. "Now what should we call you?"
"My name is Hope," she says.
He walks back and forth contemplating and shaking his head. "I know, I shall call you Odette."
Emma and Merlin arrive at the park. They split up in the hope to cover more ground.
Merlin posts missing posters of Hope on every corner he can; he even hands some to the people walking by.
Emma is walking around the corner when something catches her eye. They have some posters for an upcoming event displaying some talent from Julliard. She smiles wistfully, she misses her music. She takes out her phone to call an old friend. Elsa had ended up at their old school as a teacher.
Somehow her connection is stronger now. She has a sudden need to play. She feels it will help her connect with her daughter.

When You’re Not a Morning Person, But Sam Loves You Anyway
A Supernatural Fan-fiction
Featuring: Sam Winchester/ Genderneutral!Reader
Written for: @fangirlxwritesx67 for my 800 follower celebration
Word Count: 1200-ish
A/N: Just a fluffy day with Sam away from the bunker and Dean. I was definitely hungry every time I worked on this, so food is a theme. Thanks to @lastactiontricia for the pre-read. xoxo Stu
Sam woke you up with scratchy kisses sprinkled across your bare shoulders. The unnatural quiet of the bunker had you trying to burrow away from his rudely early rousing. Which was when he pulled the pillows from your grasp, unbelievable.
“Go away!” you pouted.
His gentle chuckle warmed your belly, topped with a petulant nose scrunch that had you giggling back before you could help it.
“Good morning?” he offered, thumbing your cheek before he pushed the side of his mouth to your temple.
“Why am I awake again?” You snaked your arms around his waist, trying to stay horizontal for as long as possible.
“Because we have plans. Remember?”
“Oh, right, the plans you won’t tell me about. Those plans.” You sighed. “How come you didn’t mention they were predawn plans, mister?”
“Because I knew you’d be like this!” Sam began to barter, “I’ll bring your coffee to you if you get dressed.” He gave you his best puppy dog eyes, which really should be outlawed, they’re so earnest.
You closed your eyes and stretched out, rolling your wrists and your ankles. Once you had drawn that out long enough you glanced back at him, all sleep sultry and coy.
“Make me breakfast and you have yourself a date,” you countered.
“Fine, whatever, just hurry up.” Sam rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help but watch your ass as you crawled out of bed.
“Real butter, Sam, none of your vegan substitutes!” you insisted before wrenching the dresser drawer open.
He was gone with a sly side eye and you were left with the task of guessing what you should wear on a day with an indiscernible agenda. An hour and a lecture from Dean later, you were in the impala, sitting shotgun for only the second or third time ever.
“So where are we headed?” you asked nonchalantly, but Sam was already wise to your ways.
“You’ll see,” his only answer.
The sky was purple and promising, lightening with every mile east. Pinks and yellows soon evaporated into radiant blue, stringy gauze like clouds streaked the horizon. It felt like a dream.
“You know, we’re trapped in the car, I can’t weasel my way out of anything now. You might as well tell me what we’re up to,” you tried reasoning with him. Sam pursed his lips and furrowed his brow. “Or not. You could just keep riding the mystery wave you’ve got going.”
It wasn’t fair how hot he was when he got like that, all determined and stubborn.
Just before noon you stopped for lunch at an unimpressive roadside diner, just like on every hunt ever. When it was your turn to order, Sam interrupted.
“No, Baby, you can get what you actually want.”
“I’m getting my usual, you know I always get the breakfast special,” you insisted, confused at his firmness.
“They’ll have the steak and eggs, toast and a side of pancakes with lots of whipped cream,” Sam countered. “Oh, and a chocolate malt, please.”
You were floored.
“But–,” you started. Sam shook his head and smiled at the waitress who left you in peace.
“You get whatever you want today. Not what you think is in the budget,” Sam explained. “I want you to be happy, not just content.”
The warmth rose from your chest and coated your face, burning over your giddy grin. “Fine, but you’re sharing the milkshake.”
“Deal.” Sam nudged your ankle under the table.
You slept off your food coma on the next leg of the drive. You woke to a warm breeze and the far off call of birds. The street was lined with ancient trees that filtered the midafternoon sunshine in lazy swatches. Sam was reading on his phone against the steering wheel. In a practiced gesture, you reached up and brushed his hair behind his ear.
“You’re up.” He smiled down at you, then took your hand and kissed it. “Ready?”
“I don’t know, I mean, I only have my knife on me,” you teased.
“Of course you do,” Sam chuckled. “But I doubt you’ll be needing it.”
Sam nodded to the world outside the car and you spun to face your destination. A massive brick building covered in foliage lay beyond the modest parking lot. There was a grand glass entry way that welcomed you to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
“You drove all the way to Saint Louis?!” You gaped and threw your door open. “Sam! Holy shit. Let’s go!”
He sighed. “Now you’re excited.” But he followed all the same.
As Sam paid your admission, you raced through the lobby, giving the high ceilings and artwork a passing glance as you pushed onto the wide stairway that lead to the different paths. Biodomes beckoned across the lawns, fountains and pools appeared in every direction dotted with the most stunning statues. It was so alive and it never seemed to end. You bypassed the guided tour on the little tram to stretch your legs, but silently you regretted it after an hour of wandering.
You caught Sam snapping your picture while you bent over the bridge in the Climatron, maybe he had been doing it the whole time, but you weren’t sure since you had been mesmerized by every single detail. You couldn’t help but grin so wide it hurt.
“This is amazing.” You beamed at him, snaking your arm in his. He smirked, pleased with himself and his surprise.
“Predawn plans are worth it after all?” he teased.
“Eh,” you downplayed. “This time at least.”
Sam leaned in and kissed the top of your head. Before you knew it you were tucked onto a bridge in the Japanese garden watching hordes of koi and ducks swarm for food. Some of the fish were the size of a Beagle and you couldn’t help but get lost in the frenzy of bright colors just out of reach.
You never wanted to leave, but you were getting hungry and there was no way you were leaving town without some barbeque. Sam even joined in, letting the perfectly cooked pork fill his belly. You promised not to tell Dean he helped finish your cornbread.
“He wouldn’t believe you anyway.” Sam winked.
At your insistence, Sam stopped at a craft brewery just passed Busch Stadium to get a treat for Dean. It was getting late and you hated that your special day had to end. With a four pack in each hand you followed Sam to the backseat, dropping the beer in their ancient green cooler for the trip home.
“So, good day?” Sam asked, pulling you to his chest. You could see the Arch in the distance beyond the highway and the stadium. His palm was warm against your back, rubbing brisk strokes that warmed you instantly.
“Nope,” you shook your head and watched his face freeze in anticipation. “The best.”
He kissed you around a smile, dimples pulling at your heartstrings like they always did. You and Sam might not get to do normal couples things often, but when you did they were all the sweeter.
“Can we make out in the car and rub it in Dean’s face tomorrow?” you whispered conspiratorially as Sam’s mouth sank to your throat.
“Definitely. But then we’re getting a real hotel room, because I am not making that drive twice in one day.” Sam said in between burning kisses.
“Oh hell yes,” you murmured, turning to duck into the backseat.
Prompt #2 of 8
Sam x Reader, a perfect day. Whatever you think a perfect day with Sam would be. It can be canon or AU but I would prefer Sam from s12-15.

Confessions: Chapt. 8 [Rolling With The Punches]
Story Summary: They say first comes love, then comes marriage, followed by the baby. For Regina and Robin, things go backwards.
Chapter Summary: Regina struggles with the guilt she feels over knowing tha she wouldn’t take back what happened. Turns out, she’s not alone.
Also on AO3
The movie went great for Regina, Bryony and Roland. They sat together, laughing at the latest Pixar creation. Bryony seemed to be able to follow it just fine with her hearing aid turned up. She only had to ask Regina what was said a couple of times, which surprised her. As soon as the movie let out, she texted Robin asking how things were going. He said that they were still only three quarters of the way done with the aquarium and that they needed some more time before they could meet up. Regina decided to take the little ones with her to the park near the theater.
She learned that Bryony liked the slides the best. Luckily, the park wasn’t too crowded, so she could go down as much as she wanted. Roland ran into a friend of his, playing with him in the play structure. The friend’s mom approached Regina, a small smile on her face.
“You must be Regina, Robin’s wife.”
That title was still hard to adjust to. Regina nodded. “Yes.”
“I’m Aurora, that’s P.J.” She pointed over to the red head that was playing with Roland. “Where’s Robin?”
“We decided to split up the kids, get to know them individually.”
“I can’t imagine going through what you two are. I don’t know what Mulan and I would do.”
“You just have to do what’s best for the kids.”
“But does it change how you feel about your other daughter? I mean, Bryony is your flesh and blood. If none of this had happened, you never would’ve met…Eva, Robin said her name was?”
“Evie,” Regina corrected, folding her arms over her chest, suddenly feeling a bit uncomfortable. “Short for Evangeline. And I…I wouldn’t trade either of my daughters for the world.”
“You’re a better person than I. I don’t know if I’d ever be able to forgive the nurse that screwed up on that one.”
Regina had nearly forgotten the story they had told other people. They didn’t want Bryony to ever find out that it had been Cora or the why, so they had played it off as a hospital error. It wasn’t that hard to believe. Zelena had sent her baby straight to the nursery and Regina was having surgery. It was hours before the children would be reunited with the parents who would raise them.
Would Regina ever forgive her mother for this? Was it right that she was angry with her? Aurora was right. If Cora had never stepped in, she would’ve raised Bryony from birth. She never would’ve missed a second. Maybe there would’ve been other choices that would’ve been made.
Yet, she never would’ve gotten Evie. How could she be so angry, while also not wanting to change how things turned out?
She was quiet for the rest of the night, only asking Evie and Henry how their day with Robin was. She was happy to see that Evie was getting closer to Robin. They definitely weren’t anywhere close to being true father and daughter yet, but she actually spoke to him and sat next to him at the diner. Bryony and Roland chatted as well, wanting to fill their father in on everything they had done.
Robin apparently noticed, because once Roland, Bryony and Evie had gone to bed and Henry went to play video games, he brought it up.
“You want to spill why you’re so quiet? Did something happen at the movies?”
“No. At the park, we ran into P.J and his mom.”
Robin let out a sigh. “What’d Aurora say? She’s kind of known for having zero filter.”
“It’s nothing.” He gave her a pointed look. “I just…she brought up how forgiving I seem to be about the whole situation and I’m not. I’m so pissed with Cora.”
“So am I. That’s normal.”
“But if I could turn back time, I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t change having Evie in my life.”
Robin frowned. “Well…I suppose I wouldn’t change anything either.”
“But is that, right? The fact that we’re so affected by the switch and yet we wouldn’t go back and change anything?”
“I think it makes us human and good parents. We love our daughters, but we acknowledge that the way we got them was fucked up.”
Regina sighed, running her fingers through her hair. “I guess.”
“It’s okay to feel both ways, like I said, I do too.”
“It helps having someone that gets it. I mean, Mal is a mom…”
“But she’ll never understand this.”
There was another beat of silence as he poured them some tea.
“So, when did Evie lose all the hearing in her left ear?” She asked. “You said she was born with it reduced.”
“According to tests, when she was a little over a year old.”
“And you never…you never considered the cochlear implant?” Robin gave her an odd look. “I did some research into it.”
“Then you know it’s costly and there’s a chance that it won’t work.”
“Of course.” She could see the defensiveness and anger in his eyes. “I wasn’t suggesting we do it. I just…wondered if you wanted to back then.”
“I looked into all the options and they said if I was ever going to, I should before it affected her speech entirely. While it’d potentially make things easier…I just didn’t think it would be worth it. I didn’t want to change a part of her that made her, her.”
Regina felt a strange sense of pride in the pit of her stomach. She had come to the same conclusion and probably would’ve back then, but there was no way that Cora would’ve. She would’ve insisted on the cochlear, she probably would’ve talked Regina into it. Robin had embraced who his daughter was, he didn’t want to change her.
“Besides,” Robin continued. “It’s not something that should be my choice or yours. If Bryony got older and wanted to get it, then it’d be a discussion.”
“I agree.”
“I’ve never wanted to act like it’s something she needs to be ashamed of, it’s why I chose that pre-school for her. There are other kids like her there and I’ve looked into schools that have similar programs.”
“You really embraced this.”
“It was that or go into it ignorant. You’d be surprised how many parents at the school are like it. There’s one mom that won’t even learn sign language and her child is a hundred percent deaf.”
Regina winced. “She sounds like Cora.”
“Probably.” He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. “The way I look at it, these kids are going to face enough adversity in their lives…why start it at home?”
“You’re right.” Regina took his hand. “You’re a good dad, you know?”
Robin softly smiled. “You’re a good mom. Evie and Henry are really smart. I feel like they taught me stuff at the aquarium.”
Regina laughed. “Henry’s the type of kid to pick up a subject and not let it go. I think he rubbed off on Evie. Not necessarily a bad thing.”
“She doesn’t seem to hate me anymore.”
“She never hated you. It’s just new. We talk about how hard all of this is on us, but can you imagine them? Evie’s gone her whole life without a dad, Bryony’s gone hers without a mom. Suddenly this is all thrown at them and they barely have time to process it.”
“They can never know the full truth, can they?”
Regina shook her head. “It’s not even to protect Cora, it’s to protect Bryony. I never want her to feel how I did growing up. Nothing I ever did was good enough, I had to measure up to her. It’d be even worse, feeling like she has to compete with a ghost.”
Robin shook his head. “I’m sorry.”
“What were yours like? You never talk about them.”
Robin looked away and Regina worried she had crossed a line, but eventually, he pulled out a picture from his wallet. It was faded polaroid, turning a bit yellow in the frayed white corners. There was a woman that looked near identical to Evie and a man that shared a lot of Robin’s features.
“They died when I was 10,” he explained.
“Oh, Robin…”
“Please don’t say sorry, everyone says that.”
“I won’t. I just…” She shook her head. “I can’t imagine being that young.”
“I didn’t have any family, so I ended up in the system. No one wants a 10 year old, I guess, so I bounced around a bit until I was 16 and ran away.”
Regina shut her eyes, trying to not imagine a young Robin living on the streets. It was too painful. “You were on your own?”
“Just until I met Marian. She made everything right again.”
She smiled a little. “The people you love can do that.”
“Anyway, my father’s name was Aslan. My mother’s was Kate.”
“You named Bryony after her?”
Robin nodded. “I was going to name her Isabelle Kate, that was what Marian and I had picked out for a little girl. It didn’t seem right, though. She wasn’t Marian’s…she needed a name all her own.”
“I understand. Besides, she doesn’t exactly seem an Isabelle.”
He chuckled. “She doesn’t, does she? It’s weird to think that she could’ve been Evie.”
“That definitely wouldn’t fit.”
“And I can’t see Evie as a “Bryony” either.”
He looked behind Regina, towards the fridge. A picture of Henry and Evie hung there, the two were smiling and wearing matching outfits.
“Maybe this wasn’t fate or destiny, but…it was just supposed to be how things worked out. You were supposed to raise my daughter for the first few years, while I had yours. Maybe we were supposed to meet for a reason.”
Regina arched an eyebrow. “You really think that?”
“I have to. There has to be a good reason for all of this outside Cora being vindictive.”
“It’d certainly make it easier for me to sleep at night.”
“Maybe we’re not supposed to think about it. Cora did what she did and we’re in our situation. If we keep going into the whys or the guilt, it’s only going to make us feel worse. We’re a family now…it’s all going to work out.”
“It’s just hard to rationalize.”
“So don’t try to. Don’t try to plan it out. Let’s just go with it, there’s nothing we can do.”
Robin clearly didn’t know her that well. All of Regina’s life had been planned out, ever since Daniel died. She didn’t schedule in time to get her life flipped upside down, not since her wedding night. She never wanted to be hurt like that again.
That was the thing about events like that, though. A person couldn’t plan for them. If they could, they’d choose not to do it in the first place.
She was a perfectionist, but if any of it was going to work, she’d have to let go a bit. She had to roll with the punches. She had figured it out once, she could do it again.
Regina raised her mug. “To rolling with the punches.”
“To rolling with the punches.”
Their mugs clashed together and they stared into each other’s eyes. Robin could tell that she was still trying to figure out the future. He knew that neither of them could predict what the next few months would hold for them.
They’d spend them trying to become a family. They’d spend them getting to know the children they didn’t know were out there, along with the boys that came along with the package of their new family. Bryony would get closer to her mother and Evie would adjust to having a father in her life period. Henry would find himself going to Robin for advice, especially when he got his first crush around Valentine’s Day. Roland would ask Regina to help him with his project for his first Science Fair entry. The girls would get closer, even referring to one another as sisters. Robin and Regina would find them sneaking into each other’s room to share a bed.
But what they couldn’t see happening was the night that they would spend together…or the major fight that would ensue.
