Whew! I finally got a moment to share photos from Mead & Mischief Art Market 🎃 I've been busy this autumn!
The weather was lovely and the mead was tasty. Thank you to everyone who stopped by! I got more details on how it went on my blog.

Cleveleys outdoor market, held every Wednesday during summer. The number of stalls has decreased recently, probably due to lack of customers. The old indoor market, open every day, was much better, but it was closed and M & Co took over. Then M & Co closed down. The old gang cannot be brought back together, because they either went out of business or moved into separate premises.

A Sunday city stroll - La Batte market, Liège / Belgium
A workation in Liège My company allows us to work remotely from any European Union country. When I chose Liège — a former coal and steel city — as my destination, I had the La Batte Sunday market in mind, a place I hadn’t visited in 10 years. The post I wrote about it back then was among my first. Liège had a few other advantages: I could practice my French, and the train ride there was not too…

An Outdoor Market In Mumbai: ( India)
It was a bright, vibrant, humid summer day. The sun was smiling gracefully over the bustling marketplace. Soft rays of light filtered through holes in the silk roofs of food stalls and gently caressed ornately carpeted floors. The pungent aroma of silvery fish mingled with the scent of exotic spices and drifted in the air. People curiously browsed bountiful products as they squeezed through narrow, winding pathways. Vendours bellowed, as they bartered, at bewildered customers. Loud car horns and the constant throb of engines were heard close by. At times, the noise was deafening. Clusters of flies hovered around large, pink animal carcasses hung up by hooks. Great golden slabs of cheese, neatly set out on shelves, were surrounded by crimson cylinders of salami. A cornucopia of fruit and vegetables: from ruby red apples and tomatoes to lime green leeks, lettuce, spring onions, pears, cucumber and cauliflower delighted the senses. A lady dressed in a pretty, pristine snow white dress wove her way through the crowd. Her perfume lingered and stretched its fingers tentatively into the charged atmosphere only to be quickly usurped...
As the weary sun began to sink, in the ever darkening sky, scores of people returned home with bulging bags abounding with all kinds of culinary treasures. Yet, this outdoor market would remain open well into the night. Under streaming starlight, people would imbibe fine wines, lavish liqueurs and consume freshly made curried dishes with rice and naan bread that tasted like manna from heaven. Under magical moonlight, they would be entertained by wild groups of singers and dancers clad in colourful costumes from across a vast , ancient nation. The eyes of tourists would be spellbound by all the strange beauty and enchantment that they encountered there.
