🍂🎃EVENT: DRACONIC HARVEST FESTIVAL 2024🎃🍂

It's harvest time on Annalise's farm, and she's welcoming guests to stop by and enjoy delicious food and fun activities! Dress up and join the costume contest, go for hay rides, and gorge yourself on homemade farm fresh food!

The event starts Friday, October 11th, 2024, around 12 p.m. EST, and will continue throughout the weekend until Monday, October 14, at 11 p.m. EST.

🍂🎃RULES🎃🍂

This is a casual event for muses to mingle and have fun! Muses can cause some mischief and/or drama with others if they wish, but please refrain from starting any OOC drama. Please be sure to respect the boundaries of participants, and be kind!

No invitations are required for this event, nor do muses have to pay to get in. Walk-ins are welcome, but please be sure to greet the hostess so she knows you're here!

Muses are allowed to bring their own food and activities to add to the festival.

If your muse is participating in the costume contest, please either post their costume with the event tag and @ my blog in the description to notify me, or personally DM me or send an ask/submission with their entry. Please submit entries BEFORE October 13! Entries may be submitted before the actual event starts as well.

The costume contest has no theme, so muses can dress however they'd like. Couples costumes, siblings costumes, parent + child costumes, or matching friends costumes count as one entry (please be sure to submit one picture of both muses wearing their costumes together if so!).

Polls for the costume contest will be posted ASAP on Sunday, October 13. If there are more than ten participants, multiple polls will be made for muses to vote in character for their favorites. The remaining winners of each poll will be placed in a final showdown poll, and the final winner will receive a special gift from Annalise.

Muses can not vote for themselves during the costume contest; they must cast a vote for another.

The pig race mini event will occur on Friday as soon as the event starts. Multiple pigs will be placed in a Tumblr poll, and muses can bet on which pig they think will win by voting. The pig with the most votes will be the winner, and a post will be made to automatically distribute prizes to those who voted for the winner.

Alcohol will be served at the event for adults, but no drugs are allowed, as child muses are allowed to come to the festival. Please drink responsibly!

🎄Annalise's Cozy Cottage Holiday Party!🎄

Event Start: Saturday, December 21 (ALL DAY)

Event End: Tuesday, December 24 (11 PM EST)

Another party at Anna's place! This one is a lot more casual than the Harvest Festival. It will take place (mostly) inside of Annalise's home. She'll be making food and drinks to share with everyone: a honeyed ham, sugar cookies, yam casserole, hot cocoa, eggnog, and more!

Muses are encouraged to bring their own dishes to share with others. They can also bring gifts to exchange with others as well!

Cozy up by the fireplace, watch some movies, go outside to frolic in the snow with her animals, or maybe even sneak a kiss with someone underneath the mistletoe....

This is an opportunity for muses to mingle and have fun together! Again, this is a SUPER casual event that goes at its own pace.

Please be sure to be kind and courteous to other writers as well!!!

✨️ OK SO BIG NEWS ✨️

I am planning a Harvest Festival and Costume Party on Anna's farm sometime in October! The dates will be revealed as soon as possible (hopefully, I'll have a weekend off in October to actually schedule the event)

Here's the general gist of the event:

Set in Anna's modern verse for convenience. Her farm in that verse is somewhat larger and easier to travel to, plus not every muse is around during the 18th century, when her main verse takes place.

This is a casual, fun event where muses can mingle and enjoy themselves (or cause drama)

There will be a costume contest!!! There won't be a specific theme to the contest; muses can dress up in whatever costumes they wish! Costume drawings can be submitted to me via ask, submission, or DMs on Tumblr or Discord. Submissions will be put in a Tumblr poll (or polls, if there are more than 10 participants), and muses will vote IC for their favorite. The winner of each poll will be placed in one final showdown; the first place winner receives a special gift from Annalise. (Since Anna is the hostess, she won't participate).

Other activities will be present, such as hay rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin carving, pig racing, and bobbing for apples.

Annalise will have a variety of delicious foods to eat, from pies to soups to huge turkey legs and caramel apples. Muses are encouraged to bring their own dishes to share!

Child muses are allowed to join! They'll have their own area to play and have fun, while adult muses can mingle in their own space (and Anna's got some of her special brews saved for them; just drink responsibly!)

The event will be tagged as #draconicharvest2024 !

decided to restart my X randomized muselocke and here's the current team!

Maybe it's just me being paranoid or w/e but I feel like my writing style has been declining lately. I worry that Anna is too boring of a character because her setting is so casual and more slice-of-life.

It feels like everything I've been writing lately is just the same thing, over and over and over again. Baking and cooking and farm animal shenanigans, but I just can't seem to come up with hardly anything fresh and new. I'm having a more difficult time having her approach other muses, and I worry that other muses aren't approaching her because she's, well...boring. When you write a character who's scared to show that she's a mythical creature and hides away from the rest of the world, I guess interactions can be...limited, even in a modern verse.

Most of my content on this blog lately consists of just silly little shitpost doodles and queued up aesthetic posts. I keep dragging my feet about getting drafts done because I'm just so tired from work IRL.

I love Annalise to death, but I don't know what to do with her, or how to improve her character, or if I should do some sort of big story plot or event, or... something. I feel like she's growing stagnant and that worries me. I've never been able to hold onto an OC as long as Anna, and I don't want to retire her anytime soon.

I just don't know what to do.
