mr swansea, how do you cope with being away from your wife n kids for so long? do you get sad a lot because of it?
Oh, I hate havin' to be away from them. But, we needed the cash. I don't want my wife or my kids to have to grow up like I did; and when my old mechanic job went under after a market crash, my old boss referenced me to here; one of the only good places where I'de get a proper pay. A pretty good one at that, assumin' nothin' goes wrong.
But, I do hate bein' away from my family. Every time I'm sent off on one a' these missions, we go to build-a-bear and make each other and the kids stuffed toys. No, I will not be embarrassed to admit I have a stuffed rabbit with my wife's and kids voices in one of those little speaker thingies stuffed into it. Though I did alter the voice box before we recorded, so now there are multiple different sayings it can say! Indo keep it hidden in the case one of the ships shmucks decide to go snooping.
Me and Ethel also write letters to eachother. This trip, she gave me one to open and said not to open it until we're almost home. Love that lady, but she's killin' me here.

rvb au where everything is the same but the soldiers on chorus all wear odst armor
#ideally they'd be in marine armor so felix locus and the pirates could be in odst armor but the limitations of machinima#or felix and locus could keep their armor but it's gotta be a plot point that it's reverse engineered pfl armor#which in turn can act as a plot point for the bgc + wash to be sus of felix instead of whatever they did in s11 bc that was lowkey semi ooc#as I've mentioned somewhere in a past post#like i get it the guys were stranded and desperate and lina and epsilon were mia but they weren't THAT bad off#or blue team wasn't at least since wash was being petty af and didn't bother to tell the reds that he hooked blue base up to the ships power#also tucker and caboose being in on it would be so funny#wash: im not going to hook up the reds for.....reasons#tuck and boose: lol okay. fuck those guys! finally dragged myself at least part of the way out of my pit of despair only for my jaw pain to start up again. sick.

Emm and Jo had run ins over the years BUT Emm hasn’t left the Necropolis in years#and he’s clearly surprised to run into Jo during DA:TV#listen. it just made me emo to think that perhaps#Jo dying and coming back as a half-lich and truly going to ground#after all those years of cat and mouse and trying to pull her back to the light#contributed to him keeping to the Necropolis and perhaps focusing on teaching#like perhaps it just. burned him out for a while#it WOULD be emotionally and mentally and physically / magically taxing#those run ins that just keep escalating#then suddenly Jo simply disappears without a trace#and the years wear on and you have to stop or it’ll eat you alive#and you just have to hold to the hope that she’s alive and has turned over a new leaf or something#that she’s too powerful a mage to have died or fallen to a worse fate#smth like that idk I should be in bed
