also loves to lean with his elbows on top of your head to show off the height difference and doesn’t let you see the light of day about it

when it comes to dates i think he prefers staying in and ordering takeout because everyone except you annoys and angers him <3

that, or he likes to go on walks or picknicks at night. he just likes how peaceful everything is and he can calmly concentrate on your presence

[SYNOPSIS] ˚⁀➷｡ round and around and around and around you go. you would’ve loved to blame him, but as much as he wants that too, it takes two to tango and for the life you’ll never get to have, you’d like to walz today.

smoke circles

the air in the kitchen is thick and grey. the smoke from the cigarette you lit gets straight in his face, but he still doesn’t flinch or change his facial expression.

“i never knew you you smoked.” he tries to cut the tension, to no avail.

“you never asked, ousuke.”

he looks at you and wonders how he managed to fuck up this badly. he looks at you and wonders how he managed to hurt you this badly — or rather, how could he ever be able to hurt you?

his chest hurts, his breathing is way too slow and his eyes are cloudy, so that he can barely see the shadow of your crouched figure sitting on the bar stool. his eyes hardly manage to catch glimpse of your face without struggling to hold back tears.

you put out the cigarette on the marble counter and leave it tossed in the pile of ashes you created in front of you, ready to light another one.

“i quit after we got married ” you start, eyes slipping to the framed picture you have on your furnace, just across, in the living room, “i felt guilty having to hide it from you, so i quit completely.” the taste of the cigarette is now bittersweet and you toss it away, this time not with the intention of taking another one.

you still can’t believe how he hid it from you all this time, but then you think about how you never said a word to him either. it’s been twelve years since you guys met each other, and over four years of marriage and you never knew about your husband’s real job.

“you’ve gotta kill me now, don’t you?” you say, sadness flowing through your veins, albeit it sounding rather sarcastic. he knows it’s not, he knows you better than anyone else, he knows this is how you cope.

“i do” his cheek is warm with fresh tears when you caress it, and it reminds you of the firsts you had together. he was your’s and you were his.

“use a cool weapon so i can die in a cool way!” you joke, and his smile appears for a split second. it fades away quickly when he realizes he’s not gonna hear your jokes anymore, he won’t be there to make sarcastic comments right back at you when you make them first, he won’t wake up next to you anymore, he won’t be able to buy you that necklace you haven’t shut up in over two months, he won’t be able to hold your hand when you cry anymore, he won’t have you holding him when he cries, he won’t be able to have family dinners with the family he’s always wanted, he won’t be able to keep his tears in check when tsukuyomi asks about you tomorrow. he won’t be able to live without you, but he has to learn how and come to terms with it.

“why didn’t you say anything?” he’s mad now, sadness transforming to anger, “we could’ve gotten out of this somehow, i don’t want to kill you! you’re my s/o, my best friend, my first love, my home! i don’t want to kill you!” he takes a step forward and grabs your head in his palms, “i love you! do you hear that!? and i don’t want you to die at my hands, i’d never be able to live with myself! why didn’t yo- “
