OUASR Temporary Schedule Change!

Because several in the rewatch chat watch Game of Thrones, which airs at the same time as the rewatch, we have decided to move the rewatch during the month of May.  The May schedule is as follows:

This Saturday, May 4 at 8:30 pm: 3x21 Snow falls and 3x22 There’s no place like home.

(No rewatch on May 12 due to Mother’s Day weekend.)

Saturday, May 18 at 8:30 pm: 4x1 Tale of Two Sisters and 4x2 White Out

(No rewatch on May 26 due to Memorial Day weekend.)

OUAT Press Release 1x1 Pilot

Synopsis: In the premiere episode, “Pilot”, not believing a word of Henry’s story, Emma brings him back to Storybrooke, but finds herself drawn to this unusual boy and his strange New England town.  Concerned for him, she decides to stay for a while, but soon comes to suspect that Storybrooke is more than it seems.  It’s a place where magic has been forgotten, but is still powerfully close…where fairytale characters are alive, even though they don’t remember who they once were, and where the Evil Queen, known as Regina, is now Henry’s foster mother. The epic battle for the future of all worlds is beginning, and for good to win, Emma will have to accept her destiny and fight like hell.

3x12 New York City Serenade

Synopsis: After Rumplestiltskin sacrifieced his life to stop Pan from enacting another curse, Regina obliterated her original curse, which erased Storybrooke from existence and whisked its residents back to Fairy Tale Land, leaving Emma and Henry back in our world with no memories of Storybrooke, but all is not well back in the Enchanted Forest when Hook comes calling on Emma in New York City in an attempt to jog her memory so that she can once again help her fairy tale family and friends out of a desperate situation.

Synopsis: The residents of Storybrooke are overjoyed upon the return of Henry and our heroes from Neverland.  But unbeknownst to them, a plan is secretly being put into place by a well-hidden Pan that will shake up the very lives of the townspeople.  Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tale Land that was, Snow White and Prince Charming’s honeymoon turns out to be anything but romantic when they go in search of a mythical being that could stop Regina cold in her tracks.

What are you doing for the rewatch?

It’ll be here before you know it!  The Once Upon a Series Rewatch kicks off in 82 days!

This rewatch is open to all OUAT fans--no matter who you ship or who you stan.  The only requirement to join the rewatch group is that everyone’s respectful of everyone else.

We want this to be a fun and interactive experience.  Show your love for this series that captivated all of us in whatever way you want--write fic or metas, create fan art or fan videos, join in the group chat at Google Hangouts, or just watch and enjoy.

Each week, before the rewatch on Sunday, we plan to post promos and “press releases” for that week’s episodes.  Send us your fan works, or tag them with “ouasr” and the episode number, and we’ll post them during the appropriate week!

The Once Upon a Series Rewatch is Under Way!

If you weren’t able to join the group rewatch, it’s not too late to participate!  Feel free to watch the episodes on your own or “meet up” with fellow fans to watch together! (There’s still time to join the Google Hangout chat.  Simply send us your email address.)

Don’t forget to tell us what you thought of the episodes!  Write an episode review or meta.  Write a fanfic inspired by the episodes, Create art or edits or videos.  If you mention us or tag us we’ll reblog it!

Scheduling note:  There are no episodes planned for next Sunday due to it being Labor Day weekend.  We will be watching 1x3 and 1x4 on Sunday, September 9 at 8 and 9 pm EST, respectively.  We’d love to have you join us!

Question for Non-US OUAT Fans

I know that due to the differences in time zones, the 8:00 EST start time of our viewing parties in the Hangout is difficult for fans outside of the United States.  We set it up in that time zone, because it seemed to work best for the majority of the people who have expressed interest in being involved in the rewatch.  That being said, we definitely don’t want to exclude fans from other parts of the world! Would you be interested in a “second viewing” of the episodes in one of the European time zones? (i.e. the episodes “air” at 8:00 and 9:00 EST and then again at 8:00 and 9:00 [insert European time zone here]?)

The moderators of this blog are primarily from the US Eastern Time Zone, so we probably wouldn’t be able to participate in the later rewatch, but we could help set it up.

4x13 Darkness on the Edge of Town

Synopsis: With Gold banished from town, the residents of Storybrooke attempt to resume their normal lives.  Hook and Belle search for a way to release the fairies from the Sorcerer’s hat, while Emma, Henry and Regina continue to look for clues that could lead them to the Author.  But when a new darkness descends on the town, Emma and Regina are forced to confront the true nature of evil.  Meanwhile in New York, Gold and Ursula enlist Cruella De Vil to join their cause.  Flashbacks show Gold’s first meeting with the Queens of Darkness
