Hicvember A+B+C
So, I had this whole fic thing going and I was sort of brainstorming on how I could make it fit a little more into theme. Then I had this crazy idea of utilizing a sketchbook I specifically bought to draw hic stuff and see if I could art.
Then I had this even more wacky idea of A being Otto, B being Atticus and C being me, the writer, creeping on them.
Using some picrews as body and face references, I drew just that and edited some text on it in the MS art program so the sketchbook would still be ambiguous art in case anyone found it. (I love you, paranoia. You're my favorite anxiety and OCD trait!)
So, here. Have this thing I made.

OC Masterlist
My regular masterlist is in my bio!
This is an incomplete list of OCs. This list includes all OCs that I am currently putting under the WIP folder. If you’ve ever wondered what the inside of my brain looks likes, this is a good representation.
This list currently only contains OCs for Ikerev, Ikevamp, Ikesen, and Obey Me. Other otome will added in time as I put out more work.
It’s an extensive list so it’s under a read more!

Tumblr media
“Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.” We think that Aristotle was onto something when he (probably) said those words, and for us, there is no better happiness than travelling. Fitting then, the way we should introduce this article about the great scientist and philosopher’s old stomping ground – the Greek capital of Athens.
Tumblr media
Let’s put our heads together, boys…
Along with his teacher Plato and in turn his teacher Socrates, they helped to establish Greece as one of the cradles of civilisation, as just some of the founding fathers of modern thought. So, let’s take a look at a shortlist of the very best this city has to offer.
Of course, if you really want to know what to see and do here, you’re better off finding a local. Internet is full of best itineraries for Athens and some may give you a great overview and a lot of inspiration on what to do and see in the Greek capital, like this article, but the help of a fellow human is invaluable. Every local, born and raised in Athens, will have some secret tips and tricks up their sleeve to share with you. Some hidden gems, best eats – and all at locally acceptable prices.
So, if you can, try to find a friendly local to show you around. But for now – you’ll just have to make do with us.
The Acropolis
One of the most recognisable locations in the world is this Athenian hillside citadel, for centuries home to the corridors of power of the Greek empire. Its imposing location overlooking the city contains a myriad of ancient architecture, the likes of which has few rivals around the world. The most famous of course is the incomparable Parthenon – the temple to the goddess Athena.
Tumblr media
We’ve had a think, and we reckon this is pretty old.
But don’t skip everything else just to see antiquity’s poster child. There’s so much more to satisfy your history fix – too numerous to list here.
The Acropolis Museum
Athens’ new pride and joy is this stunning, multi-level museum dedicated to all things ancient Greece. It boasts over 4,000 artifacts on five levels, more than enough to keep you enthralled and occupied for most of the day. It’s especially ideal when it’s too hot to move outside.
Tumblr media
Knowledge is enshrined within.
This state-of-the-art facility is a must-see when visiting the city, at the very least so you can understand exactly what it is you’re looking at outside. Perfect for all the family, the Acropolis Museum has won numerous awards since it finally opened to the public in 2009.
The Theatre of Dionysus
The ancient Greeks enjoyed a fair bit of merrymaking, which is reflected in the abundance of centuries old theatres you can discover in Athens. The oldest happens to be dedicated to Dionysus – the Greek god of wine, song and all things debaucherous.
Tumblr media
Cez is a bit of a drama queen – so Athens is right up his street.
Standing for around 2,500 years, it might not be the prettiest of the theatres here (that accolade belongs to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus), but who wouldn’t want to have a dance and a jig on the stage as a homage to the god it was built for? Dionysus would certainly have approved.
The Plaka
Stepping away for a moment from the ancient stuff (which to some can get old pretty quickly – pun intended), let’s explore the delightful Plaka neighbourhood, the vicinity of which you’re likely to be in.
Tumblr media
Mmm…I do need a new pair of underpants…
This is Greek culture and hospitality at its finest, with charming, narrow streets, leafy walkways, and plenty of boutiques, cafes and restaurants serving the finest local cuisine. You won’t feel like you’re in a capital city while getting lost here.
Syntagma Square
The city’s historic main square is of particular interest to visitors because of a tradition that takes place here at 11 am every morning. The changing of the guard in front of the tomb of the unknown soldier is an experience not to be missed – perhaps most notable for their striking, traditional uniforms.

Remember – he’s got a gun.
Plaid skirts and pom-pom shoes are an interesting fashion statement, but it is an homage to the first modern king of Greece – Otto. As well as this fascinating spectacle, the square has a number of other points of interest, including the Old Royal Palace, and is a location of much significance in the capital.
Monastiraki Flea Market
If you’re looking for a really unique souvenir or a present for someone back home, then look no further than this Athens institution. The region is known for its shopping culture, but every Sunday is when it really goes to town. Here, you can buy just about anything.

Old coins, nick-knacks, clothing, military gear, knock-off watches, knock-off everything, stuff people don’t want…you’ll find it in this shopper’s paradise. It gets lively at night and there’s plenty to keep you entertained even if you’re not parting with your hard-earned cash.
Panathenaic Stadium
No less than 60,000 spectators can cram into this magnificent arena, there to watch heroic Olympians compete for glory. It was built around 330 BC in which to enjoy the Panathenaic Games – a religious, sporting and cultural festival held every four years.
Tumblr media
We dare you not to hum the Chariots of Fire theme…
It was rebuilt in 1896, but it’s still very much in use today as a focal point for anything Olympian – such as the passing of the torch. It served as a venue in the 2004 games, hosting the archery competition and as the marathon finishing line.
The National Garden
Athens isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing city on earth, but it does have its moments. One such moment is to be found in the tranquil National Gardens, 38 acres of much-needed green space in an otherwise hustling and bustling metropolis. There are multiple entrances, close to both the main square and the Panathenaic Stadium.

Full of a variety of flora and fauna, the gardens will seem like an oasis of calm after your hectic schedule of sightseeing. It’s a historic and important place for Athenians, who visit to get away from it all. You must join them in guessing the right time from the famous sun-dial at the entrance.
Wonder is the Beginning of Wisdom
Coming full circle (and to look really smart) we’ll finish on this Socrates quote. Athens is indeed a place to fill you with wonder as you walk in the footsteps of an extraordinary culture. At the very least, you will definitely learn something during your visit to this intriguing city.
Have you been to Athens? What would you have included as a must-see attraction?

"…I just want your drawing of them to hug right now so Atticus can cozy into that soft chest and belly."
You know what, let me cook. Visit Here: https://streamable.com/1d06tr (I did this under my own free will and it is also because I picture it cute)
Also, thanks so much! I appreciate your kind feedback! Will keep those in mind in the future. I really enjoyed drawing these beloveds, truly made me giddy to the core. (You'll know what I mean within the threshold of the video.)

I can't even.
*gulps water*
Everyone look at this, please.
Also, I don't know how to save these pictures or the previous ones. I'd like to post them here so they have representation on the blog, but I wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. If it is okay to post them on the blog what pseudonym would be okay to use in credit to you (while still keeping your anonyminity, obvi)?
Additionally, very important and forgive me if you've said this before, but I do want to make sure that you're 18 or older. As you're anonymously interacting with me, I need to be sure.
I felt like you might've confirmed your age at some point, but I might be confusing that message with another.

Obsessed with this part, though.
(Pretty much what my TS scar looks like, also.)
Not really sure where Otto's body stops or ends in this one, but the tum's the most important part, right?
And I do feel a bit sadistic sometimes. Especially when watching videos that have fast hiccups and bad hiccups. The moment I'm Done I'm like...the fuck is wrong with me, yo?
But that's why I have Otto to torture appreciate.
suspending the fact that i should be asleep right now
filler episode scene type shit
one day atty is just playing around with otto's torso during a case, gently poking and squishing him to see what happens (either getting them hot asf or they're on hiatus and doing it nonchalantly)
otto being ballsy one day and kinda like interviewing atty on what exactly it is about those things that they like so much, nitty gritty stuff idk
I'm not sure if this is even a question idk what this could be asking but these things appeared in my brain and I felt compelled to tell you. am too eeby to figure out how i wanna format this bleh have my 6am crack thoughts

Otto was reclined on the bed. His body was angled on a wedge pillow wide enough to fit both him and Atticus.
His partner had their head rested against his chest. Their small hand played along his belly. Their fingers sunk into the softness of the paunch Atticus seemed to covet and find comfort in. The writer watched as Otto's stomach popped out every second or two.
Otto's hiccups had returned after they had showered and gotten ready for bed. Both of them had been satiated by the case that had shown up when they first crawled into bed. Now, after Atticus checked Otto didn't need to get rid of the residual case, the writer asked if they could not only massage but play with Otto's belly.
Otto acquiesced easily. He had never realized how much he enjoyed having his stomach played with until Atticus came into his life.
He had once felt shame about his belly. The paunch, which was a body attribute he was self-conscious of but never motivated to change, was something that brought Atty comfort. Atticus' comfort, in turn, brought him comfort. Feeling his own belly became a positive and pleasant experience, not the exasperated grab he did in the past out of embarrassed disappointment at his lack of self-control or holding up some model of what he should look like.
He continued to observe his partner as they raked their fingers through the hair trailing up and around his bellybutton and into the small divot at his sternum and back down.
His vision was disturbed momentarily every time he hiccuped. Atticus' hand would stop momentarily too, holding flat to the movement his body made before continuing its journey, warm flesh of their palm stimulating the sensitive skin of his belly.
HI'UCK!
Atticus would cuddle a little more into him when he had what they called 'doubles'. The sharp double-syllable hiccups seemed to make his body jerk all the more and he felt his partner sigh as if contented.
"Can I HUP! Can I ask you some-MP!-thing?" he asked, breaking the silence.
"Sure," Atticus replied in a low soft voice.
Otto could feel the edge of their mustache brushing his ribcage as they spoke.
"If you need to cure them..." they said tilting their head back so they could see his face.
"No! No-no HI'UMP! I just wondered HIP! if I could ask you ab-MP!-about what you l--like when I hic-HUP!-hiccup!" Otto said. "I know yo--you've sort of HMP! explained it to me in the p-HNK'P!-past. What you like. What HU'UP! What things arouse yo-UP!-you," he said, and cleared his throat enticing another silent hiccup to pop his belly up against Atticus' palm. "But if you're comf-HMP!-ortable, why um...HU'UCK!...well, I mean, what is i-HIP!-it about them that...HNK!...ugh, I don't even r--really know what I'm HUCK!HUP! ask-HUCK'L!HIP!-asking. HUCK'M!HILK!HI'IP!"
Otto startled at the sudden clusters in the middle of a case of hiccups that had otherwise been calm and evenly paced. He'd felt deliberate pressure before each one.
"Are you HU'UP!-Are you doing that?" he asked as little bewildered by the possibility.
"Yeaaaah," Atticus said sheepishly. "I think I accidentally found your hiccup-button."
Experimentally they pressed into his solar plexus again around where his diaphragm might sit underneath and was rewarded with another cluster as they released the pressure: HMP!HU'UCK!HULP!HU'UH!
Otto found himself chuckling with a HIP!
"I didn't th-IP!-think that was a th-HIMP!-ing!" he remarked.
"Me neither," Atticus admitted. "I thought it was made up from kink fics!"
Out of an abundance of curiosity, they softly pushed the spot again.
"HU'UUP!HIP!HUP!HILP!HEEP! Oof! Okay. Can we n-HUP!-not do that again? HILP! Starting to kind of HULP! kind of hurt a little. HMK!" Otto requested starting to feel soreness where his abdomen had been pressed.
"Oh! Yeah. Shit, sorry!" Atticus apologized. They rubbed his belly gently over the area and focused on being less aggressive with their exploration.
"Thanks. You're for-HERP!-given. It was am-HMK-amusing the first HMP couple of time th--ough!" he admitted.
Atticus gave a nervous chuckle.
"About your question though..." they started.
"It's okay. I know it's aw-HUCK!-awkward. You don't HMP! have to talking about MK! about it if you don't want," he said.
"No, it's okay. I...I think I want to talk about it. Share it with you. Maybe...it would help me process it, too. Understand it more. Cause, you know, essentially, I think you were asking why? Like, why am I aroused or what about the whole thing arouses me?" they said.
Otto took a moment to process that and nodded. Then, realizing Atticus was still facing his stomach and not him he spoke.
"Yeah, I gue-HEH! I guess so," he replied.
"Yeah. Sure. Okay. So...so, you already know what things arouse me. Like...like the movements is one, right?" Atty paused not expecting an answer to the rhetorical question.
They moved their hand up and down Otto's abdomen as it jerked again. Their fingers paused at his sternum.
"You know, it kind of starts here. When you hiccup...when you hiccup it starts here, and it dips inward 'cause those intercostal muscles at your ribs and back are trying to breath in really quick. So, this, yeah, like that," Atty said as his chest dipped inward subtly with another hiccup. "This happens and it sort of chain-reacts to go all the way down here."
Atticus' hand landed at his bellybutton and a little below. They let another hiccup happen and felt and watched their hand jump in response.
"It's like a wave, Otto. Sort of...like a buoy on the water. Your chest bobs down in the middle and it pops up at your belly. See?" Atticus said as another hiccup demonstrated.
"Yeah," Otto said bemused. It was accurate. He'd never realized the motion his body made was less of a whole-body jerk and more of a chain-reaction. "But it's qui-HIP! quicker!"
"Yeah! Exactly. It's like a pop! Like a snap or something. Unexpected. And even if you know you have the hiccups, every one of them is like that. It's a...it's a shock. Like a little surprise each time. But-but it's more than that. The movement is one thing, right? And really it starts in your neck. And, gawd, Otto your neck is amazing, you know that? Like, a lot of the times when people hiccup it's only right above their clavicle in that little hollow where those bones meet? But yours, man, yours is just your whole bottom of your neck. It just punches in and it's no wonder your neck and throat hurts like it does when they go on for a while 'cause you do that thing where your head jerks back and your chin tucks in. I know that's weird to find attractive, but damn," Atticus said as they squirmed a little.
Otto couldn't help but notice Atticus pointedly not looking at him while they spoke. Even while they mentioned his neck they stayed with their face pressed against the side of his chest.
Otto found himself rubbing Atticus' back in kind as they spoke. At the pause he gave a moment of thought and was hyperaware when the next hiccup hit, and his head was pushed firmly into the pillow behind it.
"I don't thi-HIGGUP!-think it's weird necessarily," he said. He let another silent hiccup charge through his body as he felt the movements of his body more acutely with Atticus' description of them. "Hm. It's not common. HUP! But I don't think rarity equ--equals weirdness."
"Maybe," Atticus relented cautiously, but they continued. "But it's not just the movements. It's the sounds, too. But-but not just that. It's the...it's the fact that you can't help it? Like, whenever anyone has them, they can't help it. It's...it's sort of hot to see that low-key frustration. They have no control. So, they struggle just a little. It's not-I guess it's a little sadistic. In a way. But when they have them, you just see them so vulnerable? It's sort of like you can get a peek into who a person is when they hiccup, y'know? Who are they when they're thrown off their game? When they don't have control over their bodies because of what they think is a childish condition. Or-or when they're trying to talk, and they get interrupted.
"And there's something arousing about watching a person try to...I dunno...go on with their day with their body defying them over and over again. Again, it's vulnerability. And the worst their hiccups get the more vulnerable they become. But it's not something that is bad, generally. It's something that is an annoyance unless it's, like, medically bad. I don't like that," Atticus said as they fought to contain their scattered thoughts.
"I never HU'UP! never thought about it that w-UP!-way," Otto admitted. "If it's sadi--sadistic it's probably the mo-HMP!-most gentle sort of sa-HUU'UP!-uh, sadistic you can be."
Atticus chuckled.
"I guess," they said. "That little grunt, also? After that harder hiccup that you just did? I like that, too."
"Huh," Otto said, thinking. "I do that somti-HIMK!-times, don't I?"
"Yeah, after harder ones. I don't even think you notice is mostly. Um. Yeah, the sounds though. I could honestly just get off on the sounds," they said.
"What's your favor-HRMP!-vorite sound?" he asked.
"Ooh, that's a hard one," Atty admitted. They focused on capturing a couple more of Otto's hiccups with their hand before they answered, pushing their fingers along the curled hair on the soft surface of his belly. They could tell his hiccups were nearing an end. It was good, though, as they had gone on for a while.
"I like when people try to muffle them. That sound of them thumping in the back of their throat or in their nose. Or sometimes I like when they're silent if I can see the movements. Like, sharp, or those double hiccups you do sometimes. I don't know why that happens, actually. Maybe air slips through that glottal flap right before it closes so you get, like, two hiccups? I dunno.
"When they get a little squeaky, so you know it's a pretty powerful case. And when they go really fast, hardly leaving enough time to breathe or speak. I feel guilty about that. Because I know it's not pleasant. And I used to hate really fast hiccups. But now? They get me going more than most," Atticus said softly. "Is that bad? That I like them when they get violent like that?"
"Nah," Otto said after a beat. He felt his head push into the pillow behind him again with another hiccup. "You always check in with me. hip! And you know I get them pretty fast. Ba-ad, I guess. mk! And if it bothered me, you know I'd tell you. HUP! mm."
Otto continued to give encouraging rubs to their shoulders and into their hair as he scratched lightly at their scalp to their hums of contentment.
"It's kind of poetic," he continued.
"Hm?" Atticus said fading i\nto the sensations of his fingers in the buzzed hair on the sides of their head.
"The way you see mp! hiccups. Or maybe just hiccups in general. huh!" he explained. "I mean, if you think about it hiccups are kind of a poem i--in and of themselves. HUCK!"
He laughed at the unexpectedness of the louder hiccup when the case had gotten so soft. But he continued.
"Each hiccup is like a line or a stanza. hup! Each one a surprise. A note of vuln--erability. Expression of...um...sorta...truth in a way? Something genuine. mk! But also, something inherently human. Just a-uh-a fact of life. Relatable. Kinda?" he said.
"Wow..." Atticus said after a pause. "That's good, actually."
"Hey, what can I sa--say? You're rubbing off on me," he said.
"I do, do that, don't I?" Atty said mirthfully.
Otto guffawed with a sudden HUCKAH!
"Oh! Jeez!" he said, patting his chest. "HUCK!"
"Laughing yourself into more stanzas, huh?" Atticus snarked.
"Ugh, I think I-HUCK'L!-I'm in iambic penta-UCK!-pentameter!" Otto said, chuckling.
"Oof! Gone Chaucer on me! Can't help ya there, bud! English poetry is not my thing!" Atticus exclaimed.
"Heh," Otto said weakly. "It's okay. huck! I think they're calming back hnk! back down."
"Poor guy," they muttered as they gave Otto's stomach a soothing caress. "Diaphragm tried to force structured poetry on him."
"Shh! Stop sto-hup!-stop! I'm trying not to laugh again. hngk!" he said. The last hiccup hit the back of his throat in a near snort. He sighed and swallowed. He felt Atticus squirm a little and push their hand into his stomach in a deeper massage. He sighed again.
"Did any of that make sense?" they asked. "I don't think I've ever said it all out loud before. I feel like I sounded a little manic, honestly."
"No, it did. It does. mk!" he said. "I think you're right. Hiccups make people feel vulnerable. hm! And...vulnerability is a big part of relationships, honestly. If you think about it. It takes a lot of trust to be yourself around someone. And to let someone see you when you can't control what's happening to your body? And you're maybe embarrassed? I mean, aside from the arousal thing, even just that is a kind of a big deal.
"And, listen, I'm lying here on my back and letting you touch one of the most vulnerable parts of my body. That's kind of a big deal, right? If you think about it. And-and loss of control being hot isn't anything new. Shit, why do you think I find people struggling with or succumbing to arousal so attractive? And there's definitely, I mean I think there's an embarrassment factor to that, too. Even if I don't experience the same thing you do when someone hiccups, I can understand it. And even if I didn't understand it, I could respect it. It's just, y'know, we all have our things," he said.
Otto waited a bit, but Atticus' deep breathing was the only response.
"I accept your hiccup fetish and..." he sighed, "...you accept that I am apparently so boring that I can lull you to sleep with the sound of my voice."
Still no response. A curious sensation tickled his chest, and he released a long-suffering sigh to it.
"...And I also accept that you are drooling on my chest. Because I love you. And I'm very patient." A beat. "And I'm talking to myself. Goodnight, my little freak."
Atticus gave a small snort in a huffy snore and Otto turned off the bedside lamp.

Hicvember Fav OCs, Fantasies, WiP
Favorite OCs:
aka: easiest to write/have been expressed to be beloved by readers
Otto. I mean, yeah. He was the first. As I live alone, I'll picture Oto hugging me, sometimes. He's, well, part of him is me. Part of him is who I need. And a big part of him is his long torso and squishy belly and long limbs and thick neck that collapses every time a hard hiccup hits him.
The truth is I've already written so much about Otto. Like, you want a creative output based on Otto just scroll a little. I just love how easy going he is about his hiccups and a lot of other things but some things he just fucking crumbles at. I love his balanced calm and but also his vulnerability.
~~~
Atticus is, obviously, a self-insert. They are a more idealized version of myself except they have the same hang-ups and emotional shit I do. Writing them gives me permission to work through my shit in a safer way.
Atticus started as a way to express myself about my fetish healthier. Then, to my surprise, people liked Atticus. I thought I'd write this character as an ever-person motif. They'd be there to witness things. I didn't at any point assume they'd be likeable to the point of actually wanting to know them better. I hadn't prepared myself for that possibility.
(I try not to think too hard about how people liking Atticus might mean people might like me. Atticus is way cooler than me, anyway. Worm's art makes them look absolutely cooler than me.)
~~~
Mark was a SURPRISE to me how much people liked him. He's based on the character from Otto's characters inspiration which I always struggled to connect with. He was just so...sorta...boring and just there to represent the plot. He had his moments, and he was technically the titular character, but he was underwhelming to me without anyone to support him.
Mark veered a little from his inspiration. Mark became more bro. He was way more sensitive. He was way more communicative and vulnerable. But he also ended up turning into this himbo bro I did not intend on turning him into. But for this slice of life fiction I'm writing, it works better as it doesn't hold the same supernatural gravitas the show he came from did.
And, surprise surprise, Mark hiccups! I didn't intend to show Mark's hiccups but damn I'm glad I did.
Mark's gulpy hangover hiccups had been planned for a while before I wrote them. And, really, I love that writing another person's hiccups gives me an opportunity to explore how different one person's hiccups can be from another.
Now, because of you all, I kind of like Mark, too. His stupid pretty face. His stupid pretty mouth. His stupid...dumb brain. His stupid magnificent hiccups...
Fantasies
a hiclet
cw: wet dreams, fast hiccups, arousal
Atticus felt the soft flesh of Otto's belly under their naked body.
They were small, able to lay their entire body on the plush warm surface.
Every hiccup he made send them up and down.
If they wanted Atticus thought they might be able to shrink even smaller into his belly button and cover themselves in the hairs surrounding it. But, no, they'd stay their shrunken size to this point because they could feel the soft pads of fat pounding against their entire being from the powerful muscle contractions underneath.
They could hear the slosh-thump, gulp-thump. It made their member grow hard as they squished deeper into his belly.
"Th-hrk!-ey're co-hrk!-ming s-hrk!hrk!-so f-HUCK!HUCK!HUCK!-fast, At-hilk!-At-hiiilk!-Atticu-HUCK!"
HUCK!HUCK'M!HILK!UCK!UCK!UCK'M
~~~
"Ooooh," Atticus moaned as Otto watched them as they rubbed themselves in their sleep.
The clock maker had come in with a case of hiccups to wake Atticus up with, but it looked like the writer had gotten started without him. His spouse's arousal from the wet dream was putting his in real life hiccups into overdrive as they watched Atticus desperately squirm against themselves.
"He-hilmp!-hey. C-hick'm!-an I get himp'kk! in on th-haup!-that!?" Otto finally said as they rubbed his hand along Atticus' shoulder.
Atticus rolled over and startled, fully awake in an instance as they watched their husband and heard his hiccups. Otto's face watched them with need as they squirmed up and rubbed their eyes as they reached for their glasses to watch Otto without blur.
"Oh my gawd," Atticus muttered. "My dream man is real!"
Otto couldn't help but laugh, worsening his hiccups even more.
"They don't hurt?" Atticus mumbled still waking up.
"N-huck'm! ju-hilmp!-just r-ark!-eally aro-hup!hup!-oused from w-himpk!-watching you. HILMP!HICK!" Otto said and moaned at the end. "They're f-HIMP!-f--faster now HICK'M!-HUP! though! HILK'M!HUCK! Oh..."
He rubbed his chest as Atticus whined.
"Can I...can I ride your...belly?" Atticus asked speaking just above a whisper.
Otto nodded, wincing at the power the hiccups had gained with his quickened heartbeat and faster gulps of air.
That was how Atticus found out that Otto made the best vibrator in the world.
WiP
Literally this is one of my works in progress. I'm not even gonna edit it. Maybe...
This is from a request. I'll post the whole request when I finish the story. But for now, this is where it ends.
~~~
Both Otto and Atticus were stiff and sore from the hike to see birds and have a picnic. They may not have seen the birds they had initially thought they’d see, but the murder of crows that had adopted Otto as their mother was worth the physical exertion used to scale the mountain trail and back down.
Otto’s hiccups had lasted around 15 minutes in total. His ones that morning had been a 10 minute affair. It was unusual that he’d not had at least a third case by this point. If he was going to get the hiccups multiple times a day he usually got them at minimum three or four times. But after dinner he counted the lack of hiccups as a blessing as his stiff body settled down in the bed next to Atticus.
Atticus usually didn’t go to bed early, but it was fair to say the hiking trail owned both of them and even though it might be a while until Atticus fell asleep, laying down beside their boyfriend was all the encouragement they needed to take advantage of the bed and comfort found in it.
“Seriously?! Where’s my watch?” Otto grumbled. “I thought I put it on the nightstand…”
In his exhaustion he felt like he’d been loosing things all day. They were always in the most obvious places when Atticus pointed them out, but his fuse was short when he was tired. Everything seemed like too much effort. He was impatient. He felt Atticus tap his shoulder and he faced them before he could wiped the scowl of frustration off his face.
Wordlessly Atticus tugged at the arm he was using to prop himself on the side of the bed as he sat on the edge. They looked down meaningfully and he followed their gaze as his eyes landed on the leather band around his wrist.
He sighed and rubbed his eyes.
“Thanks…” he said gruffly. “Sorry.”
Fingers fumbling a little more than normal he eventually unbuckled the watch and set it on the nightstand before leaning back onto his pillow. He put both hands on his face with another dramatic sigh.
“I’m just so tired,” he said, muffled from underneath his palms.
“And grumpy,” Atticus noted.
Otto’s hands lowered to give his partner a scowl, offended. Then he sighed a third time as he let his facial features relax.
“Yeah...I guess I’m a little grumpy,” he admitted. “Sorry about that, too.” He winced apologetically.
Atticus chuckled, though, shaking their head as they propped themselves up on their elbow to face him.
“I think I can deal with an adorably grumpy boy next to me,” they said letting their voice hit its lowest octave, amused.
Otto scoffed.
“I’m not...adorable,” he said with a near whine.
“You aaaare,” Atticus teased as they took a finger to the tip of his freckled nose. “Boop!”
He wiped the finger away with a scrunch of his face, which was definitely adorable.
“Stooop!” he said in a definite whine. But he couldn’t stop his face from breaking into a smile finally. He pushed his hand into their face trying to hide the amusement from them.
“Don’t smudge the glasses! Ha! I saw it! I saw you smiling! Grouchy grump smiled!” Atticus announced proudly.
Otto chuckled finally.
“I am grouchy and grumpy!” he declared. “And I’m sore and tired from the hike, too. I want to sleep. Just a nice long sleep.”
“Aww,” Atticus cooed, then. They took off their glasses and placed them on the nightstand on their side before turning around and snuggling into Otto’s chest.
“Then let’s get this guy some sleep. Is it okay if I lay here?” they asked as they rubbed over Otto’s white sleep shirt on his chest with their hand. “If you get too hot I’ll move over. But you’re just so damn comfy.”
Otto chuckled again, despite his mood.
“Yeah, yeah,” he said, ruffling Atticus’ hair.
Never in any other relationship had anyone appreciated the softness of his body like Atticus did. It wasn’t just for comfort; they seemed to genuinely admire it aesthetically, too. It always threw him for a loop the way Atticus spoke about him as if he were actually attractive. Then again, Otto got the impression that Atticus had their own insecurities about their body Otto was more than willing to put to ease. Aesthetically they seemed to be each other’s perfect match despite having more than a foot of height difference between them.
As Atticus’ cheek started to warm the left side of his chest Otto took a breath as he reached up to turn off the lamp when suddenly, “HUCK!”
He felt Atticus startle a little at his side as he groaned feeling the familiar lump in his throat and tightness in his chest as hiccups continued to spasm in his body. This was not a soft case, either. They smacked into his chest and jostled his rib-cage. Soreness from his previous cases was renewed to go along with the muscle soreness from the hike.
“Aw c-HUCK’M!-come on HUP!HUP!-ugh!” Otto exclaimed as he lowered the hand from turning off the light onto his forehead.
Atticus watched as Otto’s head pushed into the pillow with every hiccup. They came on fast and loud. And, from the writer’s position right next to his chest, they were deep and powerful as well. They squelched and squeaked at the end and Otto seemed to grunt to some extent after every one.
“HIMP!-uh, HULP!-uh, HUCK’M!-uh, HLMP!HUCK!HU’UCK!-ugh, dammit!” he said rubbing his chest.
Atticus rubbed his sternum as it pulled in powerfully. They watched his stomach pop sharper than usual. No, this was not a casual attack. The poor guy’s diaphragm had declared outright war. But, guiltily, Atticus still had to fight the wave of arousal. Biologically their nether was buzzing with excitement. But they tamped down the sensation because Otto was not having a good time.
“Are—are you HUCKA!-feeling ar-HU’UP!--” Otto started to asked but Atticus interrupted him.
“I’m ignoring it,” they said with a shake of their head and sincerity in their eyes. They continued to massage his chest and rub down the front of his abdomen as it spasmed violently. “These look painful.”
Otto nodded with a wince.
“A li-HIP!-little. HUP!-HU’UK!-uh,” he said. “I NGK!-was wonder—ING if I would HUP!HUP!-uh, get th—them again! HMK!HMK!MK!-uh. Though I—I got lu-HUCK!-lucky. Guess no—not! HUCK!-HUCK!-HUCK’A!-ugh!”
If they’d just slow down or be a little less hard, he thought. He looked down to a very concerned face looking up at him from his chest. He felt their small but strong hand massaging at the soreness of his chest determinedly.
“I’m ok-HNK!-okay. It HLMP!MK!-it only hurERK!-hurts when I’m—hiccuping HNK’UP!-ugh,” he said.
“You’re hiccuping more than you are breathing,” they insisted, not taking for granted them not stumbling over the word in their insistence.
“Well there’s HU’UP-there’s HUMP’K there’s th—that!” Otto concurred with a nod. “They’ll HU’MP!-go away UCK!-event—eventually. Pro—probably just ups-HEELP!-uh, upset wiHIP!-with me foHUP!-uh, for onl—only getting t-HUP!-two cases i-HIP!-in.”
Atticus’ face still held a look of concern and Otto massaged their scalp through their hair a little bit in hopes of easing that expression.
“They-HU-UP! They’re anno—YIng more th-UMP!-tha-HMP!-than any-HUCK!-anything,” he said. “I juHUCK!st want to slee—eep!”
He chuckled lightly amid more strong hiccups with an eye roll.

Otto and Atticus Part 9-extended: The Antique's Store 1/4, 2/4 (reblogged), 3/4 (reblogged)
This is a continuation of Atticus' Birthday story found here: https://www.tumblr.com/writingforfishes/756206256931405824/otto-and-atticus-part-9-atticus-birthday?source=share
The story above is much more sexual in nature.
These next stories follow Atticus and Otto through the Antique's Store where Otto is taking his spouse for their birthday and back home. They will, as far as I have planned, be much tamer and won't require a filter.
CW
Mentions of alcoholism and sobriety.
Fast but short-lived hiccups.
Generational gaps in understanding gender nonconformity.
Accidental misgendering of off-stage minor character.
Hiccups triggered by food.
Mentions of arousal/teasing.
Mentions of anxiety arising from being taken to a new place.
Mentions of anxiety/over-stimulation in being in a new place that is quite large and populated.
Mentions of soft bellies and body shapes.
Manual driving? I dunno, maybe someone out there has a trauma response to manual driving?
I use ellipses here to denote trailing off or uncertainty in dialogue. They do not mean anything nefarious. Just in case. I dunno. I'm 41. Please don't hate me.
Mild discomfort while hiccuping.
Disparaging Korean made clock movements.
Minors, do not interact.
Part 1: Soup
They had been driving away from town for a while now. Atticus looked out the window as they watched exit sign after exit sign pass. The writer was excited, but antsy. Classical music was playing from one of Otto’s playlists. It was helping to quell the anxiety somewhat, but their mind still swam as miles of road kept going by.
“You’re gonna love this place,” Otto said, noticing the nervous thrum of his partner’s fingers on their knees.
“Yeah?” Atticus asked, using Otto’s voice to ground them.
“Yeah. It’s in this big warehouse. There’s a food market there, too. We’ll get some lunch while we’re there,” he said. He took a moment to sip some water from the tumbler he’d brought.
Atticus sipped some from theirs as well, using his action as a cue. The water felt good and soothed more of their anxiety.
“Lots of clocks?” Atticus asked with a smile.
“So many,” Otto confirmed with a smirk in return. “And a whole slew of other things. It’s got old books, hats, belt buckles. Lots of old art, too. And there’s a lot of space, y’know? The aisles are wide. Super accessible. A couple started it back a few years ago. They had their own antique’s store, but when they started inviting other vendors to open booths in the first storefront it got so big they went in with the people that ran a small food market in the same strip mall and got this place. It’s a bit out of the way, but worth it for the quality of things you can find there.”
Otto drummed his fingers on the steering wheel a little and shifted as the speed of traffic changed. One day Atticus thought they might try to learn how to drive manual. Otto liked it because it kept his hands busy. He was naturally a high energy person and having something to do with his hands for long stretches of time was a plus. He also liked manual because he understood how it worked better than something like a CVT transmission. He had more faith that he could fix, if need be, his transmission than a newer car that depended more on electricity to accelerate and change gears.
“They sell tools too!” he continued. And Atticus smiled, enjoying the excitement in Otto’s voice. “I mean, they have the vintage tools like manual screwdrivers, but they have specialty tools they order new. They started ordering bulk from Timesavers sometime last year because so many of their vendors have clocks in their booths and some of them have missing parts and keys. So they sell a lot of clock and watch tools and parts. Really convenient. That’s how I first heard of it. One of my customers who’s a hobbyist told me about them. And the people who rent out their booths that I’ve talked to are just—they have some phenomenal stuff, man. Super nice people, too. The ones that I’ve met. Most actually know what they have and what it’s worth. They don’t up-charge from Google searches. They actually research it. Very few resellers, too. You know, people that order lots of cheap things from other countries and sell it for profit?
“Helped a few of them service a couple of clocks to sell or help them decide whether it would be worth the repair or not. Korean movements? Not really worth it, you know? Really cool atmosphere, though. It’s kinda like family even though it’s in this great big place. Everyone takes care of each other and has each other’s backs. They even buy stuff from each other’s booths!” Otto said and took another sip of water.
He downshifted as they finally turned on an exit Atticus wasn’t familiar with.
“Kind of like an...antique commune?” they asked.
“Yeah, kinda!” he agreed.
Atticus stretched with a yawn suddenly rubbing their belly, still accessibly soft with the heavy breakfast this morning.
“Think you’ll-um-get them again?” they asked shyly rubbing at the stubble on their face and neck. For all of the anxiety of being somewhere they’d never been, Otto’s hiccups were definitely causing some of the energy their body was interpreting into anxiety. They were full of anticipatory excitement at the possibility.
“I will definitely get them again,” Otto said with an amused sigh. “I can sort of feel it? In my chest and throat? It’s weird. On hiccupy days like this it’s like they’re just lying in wait. I do want to eat something before we start looking around, though.”
“Ooh, yeah. I could go for something to eat,” Atticus agreed.
From the outside the antique’s mall/food market didn’t look terribly impressive. But Atticus noticed how full the parking lot was as they stepped out of the passenger seat.
No sooner had Otto stood from the car than a man in a polo shirt exiting the front door called to him.
“Otto, man! You gonna buy some more clocks today?” he asked coming over to them. He seemed older, perhaps in his late 50’s early 60’s. He had a stout body-type, stomach hanging a little over his belted khaki pants. His beard was nearly all white. He seemed to have a lot of energy but his mannerisms implied an ability to be patient as well when he stopped and acknowledged first Otto with a pat to his shoulder and nodded to Atticus, clasping his hands in front of his belly while in conversation.
Atticus took a moment to consider why Otto was buying clocks. They hadn’t noticed any new clocks in the house. They tried to catch his eye but Otto flitted his gaze away as soon as they had locked eyes questioningly.
“Hey Gar! Yeah, man, we’ll see if we find anything. This is my partner, Atticus. It’s their birthday today,” Otto said with emphasis causing the other man to pull a quick face of recognition and then nodded, making a motion of closing his lips. “Atticus, this is Gary. He’s one of the owners of the antique’s gallery along with his wife Rose.”
“Hey, Atticus, Otto’s told me a lot about you! It’s really nice to meet you,” Gary said, holding out a hand.
“Uh, good to meet you, too,” Atty said. They subconsciously shifted their voice down. Talking to cis men gave them a desire to puff out their chest and make their mannerisms more guy-coded. They added a quick nod as they shook the man’s hand. “Hopefully he hasn’t told you too much!”
“Nah, only the good stuff! That you’re a writer and that you’ve been there for him through a lot. I’ve not known this guy for long, but glad he has someone like you on his side. Him and me, think we’ve been through some of the same struggles. We’ve talked a little about that. Anyway. I’ve also got a daught—sorry. Shit, I always flub that up. I’ve got a kid. They came out to me earlier this year that...uh...they’re non-binary,” Gary said.
“Yeah, it’s one of the first conversations we had, I think,” Otto interjected, having leaned a hip against the car in realization that this was going to take a second. He was used to Gary’s tendency to babble. Another quality, the clock maker mused, both of them shared.
“I think it was! But yeah, Otto told me about you and, I dunno, it made me a little less nervous for he-them,” Gary sputtered. “Sorry, I still mess it up a lot. I’m working on it.”
“It’s okay to mess up,” Atticus said. They’d made their way to stand beside Otto and their husband laid a soft hand around their shoulders. “As long as you correct yourself. It shows you’re trying. That means a lot.”
“I definitely am. Anyway, knowing there’s, you know, an adult out there that’s-uh-that’s non-binary and stuff. I was scared for them, y’know? How were they going to grow up? I mean, it’s not like there’s a path or...I dunno...I don’t know what to tell them or how to...help? But Otto told me about you and that you’re a writer and that you’ve sold your books and it’s just,” he sighed, seeming frustrated in his inability to articulate what he meant. “It gives me hope that they’re gonna be okay. If that makes sense.”
Gary laughed nervously.
“It does,” Atticus said with an encouraging smile. “They’ve got a dad that loves them so...I feel like they’re off to a pretty good start.”
“Yeah...yeah, damn. I’m sorry for talking your ears off! You know how I am, Otto. I gotta get going. The Mrs sent me on an errand and she is going to bite my head off if I get distracted! Anyway, good to see you again, Otto!” Gary reached in and Otto accepted a little hug from him. “Really nice to meet you, Atticus. I hope you have a good birthday. Cause this guy got you...well…”
Gary waggled his finger teasingly at Otto and the clock maker’s eyes widened and then narrowed as he batted the hand away.
“Dude!” he warned at Gary’s hint of what Otto’s plans were.
“I have had a pretty good birthday so far,” Atticus said, looking between the two suspiciously. “I feel like it might be a theme…”
“Get out of here, Gary! Stop talking!” Otto exclaimed, thwapping the older man on the back good naturedly as he finally started to leave.
“Report back!” Gary yelled.
“Shh!” Otto spat out as Gary went out of sight. “Jeez...can we just ignore that bit? Also, I’m sorry if that made you uncomfortable. He really is a good guy…”
“No, I can tell,” Atticus reassured him. “Really bad at keeping a secret, though.”
“The absolute worst. I dunno how his wife deals with him…”
“Well, you deal with me, so…” Atty said.
“Hm, true,” Otto responded smartly as he led his partner into the front door. He felt a pinch on his side and jerked. “Ow!”
“Oops,” Atticus responded curtly.
The inside of the warehouse was completely different from the out. There was a huge open space in the lobby with a secondary set of double doors leading to the antique mall portion but down a hall were various food market vendors and following that hall was the other half of the warehouse, more food vendors, and a large sitting area along with a secondary access to the antique’s mall space.
While the venue was bustling with business the open space made it seem much less crowded.
Decision paralysis and overwhelm kicked in as soon as Otto asked them what they were in the mood to eat and Atticus let Otto pick where to go as they followed taking in all of the visuals, smells, and sounds around them as they tried to adapt to the environment and space.
Otto ended up ordering a tomato basil bisque with a grilled cheese and Atticus waffled a little until they decided on a salad with grilled chicken, something to balance out the heaviness of the breakfast they’d eaten that morning.
Atty didn’t even really know what food vendor they’d ordered from or what had been available alternatively as they were so overwhelmed by exploring the atmosphere and people who walked by.
“I thought you said it was a small food market that partnered with...um...Gary and Rose?” Atticus asked as they took their food to the table Otto was walking toward. Otto being so tall offered a great guide to Atty as they often got lost in places like this.
“Yeah. Oh yeah, initially it was just that. Then they put the word out about the space and food vendors started opening shop. Lots of start-ups took advantage that wouldn’t have had the money to buy a store front otherwise. Rose comes from a lot of old money, apparently. Though you didn’t hear that from me. She put a lot into making sure everyone got an opportunity to take advantage of this spot since she knew the mall wouldn’t take up half the space of it,” Otto explained.
“Gary really does have no concept of secrecy, does he?” Atty noted.
“Not really, no. I think he spent a lot of his life trying to run away from connecting to people. Best way to do that is through alcohol, honestly. Even while you’re partying with hundreds of people you’re not really ‘there’, y’know? But yeah. He’s got some stories. Things that sort of shocked me. When he learned I was sober, I think he knew he could trust me and that I’d get it. I think he’s trying to make up for that lost time, now. He loves his wife and kid more than anyone I know. Guy’s got a damn big heart. And a really fucked up liver,” Otto added mirthfully.
Atticus snorted and then caught themselves, “Shit, should I laugh at that?”
“Yeah,” Otto said with a smirk. “He would.”
They finally sad down and Otto unpacked the soup. The smell was comforting and he found himself quite hungry despite still being a little bloated from last night’s antics and this morning’s food fare. Perhaps he was just as excited as Atticus seemed and that translated to wanting to eat? And he was excited. He really couldn’t wait to see his partner’s face at the surprise they had planned.
Otto swallowed the first spoonful of soup. It was very warm, slightly spiced, and he could feel the warmth go down his throat and immediately his diaphragm reacted to the change in temperature. He felt his body convulse involuntarily causing him to jump a little. Amazingly, Atticus was busy on their salad and hadn’t noticed.
He waited a second for any other hiccups, but none followed. Cautiously he took another spoonful, let it savor in his mouth and swallowed. The warm liquid triggered another spasm. He grunted softly. That hiccupy feeling in his throat intensified and he knew he was only a few more spoonfuls away from a full attack. That second spasm was more forceful, too. He wondered if he cold hold it off until he at least finished the meal. He paused, considering.
Atty caught him, body still and waiting, with same hand holding the spoon pressed against his mouth in a loose fist, spoon dangling from the tips of his fingers as he focused on something inwardly, eyebrows pinched a little.
“You okay?” they asked. The writer had been enjoying their salad more than they thought they would. They’d also been watching people pass by and taking in the social scenery. Otto being motionless caught their attention more than anything.
“Yeah,” Otto said tentatively, eyebrows pulling together all the more. “Every time I take a sip of soup I hiccup. They’re right here.” Otto tapped the base of his neck above his collar bone.
Atticus stopped chewing their salad to hone their eyes in on that place.
“Oh,” they said. “Um...you don’t feel sick, do you?”
“No-no,” Otto said, reassuring them quickly. “Just wondering if this is gonna turn into a full case...guess we’ll find out, hm?” There was a glint in his eyes. Of course there was always going to be a possibility of this becoming a day of hiccups, but part of him was delighted that it was actually happening. There would, of course, be consequences to his purposeful induction, but it was worth the adorable flush that came across his partner’s neck and wideness of their eyes.
Atticus swallowed their salad a little too eagerly and took a drink of water. They were extremely disappointed they’d missed the previous hiccups but, eyes trained on him now, they were determined not to miss anymore.
“Excited?” he teased, smiling knowingly.
“A little,” they admitted. “Not to an...actionable level.” They kept the statement diplomatic. Atticus really had no need to take care of their arousal again. But their body was going to react and they were going to be interested no matter what.
Otto chuckled at the terminology and jumped a little with another spasm.
“Hm,” Atticus said, feigning casualness.
Otto grinned a little and rolled his eyes in mild exasperation. Even though he’d only had the hiccups one time that day it was a strong and fast enough case that he knew any additional cases would be a little more exhausting than normal. But that excitement at seeing Atticus’ excitement was enough to be ready for the possible onslaught.
His hiccups persisted as he continued to eat his soup. His diaphragm reacted with each gulp and sometimes without the trigger of swallowing. They weren’t very strong, but he did still have to time his eating around them when they started to go off script of being triggered.
They got a bit more forceful when he started on the grilled cheese. Bread was the ‘enemy’ on his hiccup-sensitive days. He should’ve known that. Perhaps part of him had known that and wanted to give Atticus another show. Or perhaps it was just his absent mindedness forgetting what his triggers were on days like this. Regardless, the bready sandwich certainly encouraged the hiccup fit to strengthen. They became more audible, though still easily muffled.
Atticus continued to eat their salad, but they hardly tasted it as they watched Otto’s suppressed hiccups as he continued to eat despite them. His head and chest would jerk up and he’d have to pause for that half-second before taking another mouthful. As he began to muffle the sounds they started to make the writer pulled their legs together subconsciously. They were also getting faster and the adorableness of Otto trying to navigate the fit paired with the mild arousal they felt was almost too much. But it was an almost too much they could handle as they felt safe experiencing it.
A couple of times he was hit with a cluster of hiccups which he would let out a small grunt or sigh after before resuming eating. He probably didn’t even realize he was making the small sounds, but Atticus soaked up every movement and sound watching Otto in adoration. His hiccups and reactions were endearing to watch and their body let them know that it was paying attention, but Atty never felt the need to give into their arousal in the way they had this morning.
When he started in on his sandwich he jerked so powerfully and quickly that Atticus startled in how closely they’d been paying attention and the break in pattern of his hiccups. They heard a little thump in the back of Otto’s throat at that hiccup. The case also increased in speed and it was obvious Otto noticed as he chewed carefully and timed his swallowing.
A ‘hik’p!’ slipped out and Otto muttered, “Oh man…” He was no longer able to keep them all quiet or muffled with how hard they’d suddenly become. He could feel his stomach jiggling from under the table, how it jerked in and out. His neck movements caused his head to jerk hard as well, having to time eating even more carefully to line up the food with his mouth.
“Higgup! You just gonna-higgulp!-just gonna watch hilp!-watch me ea-hugguck!-eat this whole time?” he asked, amused.
“That was kind of the plan,” Atticus teased.
“Damn bre-herp!-bread made them wo-erp!-worse! Hickulp!” he said.
Even though, he used the last bit of that sandwich to sop up the last dregs of his soup, all the while jerking as his diaphragm and glottis continued to argue loudly over when to breath and when to not.
Eating that last bite definitely didn’t help. He took a few large straw-fulls of water but continued what seemed to have developed into a pretty powerful hiccuping fit. Otto was thankful for the food court being boisterous with activity as he’d yet to see anyone looking over his way despite how more audible they’d become.
But as much as he was enjoying the way Atticus was looking at him his neck had started to hurt again. It hurt in the back right where it met his shoulders. He couldn’t even suppress the motions on this case. Every hiccup came as a surprise to him. Usually, when he had them, he had the feeling he would hiccup a little bit before the next one, but as this case got worse he lost the ability to feel when the next one was going to hit. It was a bit unusual to not be able to predict them like he normally was. As a result his body was at their mercy even more.
Otto’s hand pressed against his chest and Atty noticed that his face had lost some of the mirth it had when his hiccups had begun. He didn’t look distressed, necessarily, but he didn’t really look like he was wholly unbothered, either.
“Oh man HUCKULK-man! These are hu-ULK!-are hard. ULK!Huck!-ugh! I can’t-ulk!-can’t tell when the-h’mlk!-their coming next ei-ulp!-either. Damn,” he finally admitted. He rubbed the back of his neck trying to take a measured breath through the onslaught. It was interrupted by more sharp hiccups and he winced, eyes closing for a moment at a particularly fast cluster. “HULK!HU-CULK!ULK!H’MUCK!mmk!”
A small hand slapped three packets in front of him so loudly he jumped a little (before he jumped with another hiccup). When he looked down Atticus’ hand lifted to reveal a packet of Real Cane Sugar, a white paper packet from a fast food restaurant marked ‘Salt’, and a plastic packet with yellow writing on it that said ‘Pure Lemon Juice’. Otto looked up to his partner’s smug face (as much as he could give them a steady gaze with how much he was jerking) and they grinned, lips pushing up the sides of their mustache into the apples of their cheeks.
“Never leave home without them,” they said a little haughtily.
“Do you HUCK-UCK!-always keep-HUCK!-alw-ulk!-ways keep these wi-UCK!-ith you? Huck!-HUCK’M!” he asked, grunting out another sigh as he started opening the sugar packet.
“Only when my extremely sweet husband decides to indulge in me for my birthday in a way that could bite him in the ass later on,” Atticus said.
“I think-HUCK!-there was-hulkUCK!-a compli-ulk-ment in-hulk!-in there-HUCK’L! some-uck!-somewhere Huck’l!HUCK!-uh!”Otto said.
“Otto,” Atty implored. “Sugar.”
“Yes hon-HUCKAH!-honey? Huck!HUCK!HUCK!Ow...” Otto exclaimed with a scowl at his interrupted joke. He wordlessly (though not soundlessly) opened the sugar packet and dumped it in his mouth.
The cure did the trick. For a few seconds he sat after he’d downed the lemon juice with some deep breaths, still holding his chest.
“You good?” Atticus asked. For some reason their hand had found his and was holding it as if giving him comfort. It seemed silly to do so for someone having something as seemingly harmless as hiccups, but those sounded and looked incredibly uncomfortable. And all of Atty’s research on hiccups led them to believe that hiccups could potentially cause great discomfort; they never wanted that inflicted in their husband.
He took another deep breath.
“Whew. Yeah. Sorry about that. They kind of got out of hand,” he said sheepishly. “Um, how was your salad?”
“I honestly have no idea...” they admitted looking down at their empty container.
“You got a little turned on, right?” he asked, voice low.
“Right up until the end, yes,” they said.
“Still…” Otto waggled his eyebrows suggestively.
“You’re just a little self-destructive, you know that?” they said.
“Listen, you’re the one who married an alcoholic.”
Atticus reached across the table and put either hand on the side of Otto’s face rubbing his short beard with their thumbs before squeezing his cheeks gently between their palms.
“I married a beautiful, intelligent, compassionate man who is also an alcoholic,” they said, amending the statement. “And it’s my birthday so I’m right and you can’t argue with me.”
“I don’t think that’s how that works,” Otto said, diction affected by his lips being squished between the hands on his face.
“It is,” Atticus assured him. They finally released his face and Otto grinned back.
“And it’s your birthday so…” he said, trailing off.
“Exactly!”
Cleaning up their trash and putting the reusable trays in a marked spot above the trash cans they both finally made their way into the antique’s mall area.

Otto and Atticus Chronicles Part 5: To Sleep Perchance to Hiccup...and Cuddle
Preface:
This fic was inspired by someone who messaged me some amazing prompts! I combined two of them.
- Atticus isn’t in a hiatus but they also don’t really feel like masturbating, it’s pretty early in the morning and they just woke up. Otto gets decently fast but not super uncomfortable hiccups and they just cuddle in bed and spoon a little maybe
- Atty watching Otto hiccup in his sleep with just so much love in their heart. God they have the best, cutest, most wonderful partner in the entire world
This fic has a LOOOT of exposition before things get started. I sincerely apologize but I couldn't help myself. My obsession with fleshing out the lives of my characters is deep. So give it around 1500 words to get to any content of a hiccup nature. Maybe I'll put a symbol when the hiccups start so those who are here mainly for that can find them easier.
This work is pretty safe for work/tumblr. There are mentions of arousal but nothing overt so I won't be putting it behind a filter.
Brief mention of Otto's sobriety, but it's blink and you'll miss it. Contains notes of somnolence appreciation, but not somno specifically. Just an adoration and admiration of sleep/iness as a form of intimate vulnerability. (Any arousal is from the hiccups not the sleep.) But I suppose it could be read as somnophilia as well and that wouldn't bother me. (Here! Have my art and make it yours!)
I can't think of any specific content warnings but if you feel there needs to be feel free and message me.
Anyway, on with it!
(An alert to where the hiccups start is in red font 😉)
***
Otto had been out all day. Sometimes he tended to be a little enthusiastic with his scheduling, especially on home visits. Rationally, he knew that home visits would go longer than he planned. He also knew that inevitably that would mean rushing to the next visit with a shorter period in between. But in the enthusiastic moments of conceiving finishing every home visit the same day and only having to leave home one day as opposed to several days he overlooked that rationality and threw caution to the wind.
Were his windy caution tossing days of scheduling too many clock repair and maintenance visits much tamer than before sobriety? Certainly. But there were still consequences and one of those consequences was only seeing Atticus at the beginning and end of the day. The other consequence was forgoing healthy food for convenient food. There was yet another consequence to come, but as of this moment in his timeline, that particular one hadn’t been experienced yet.
So off to Bert to check out his grandfather clock. Bert didn’t talk much. Otto and him exchanged short notes on the clock, some noncommittal discussion on the weather, an update on sport scores, and that was that. Otto was able to pick up a salad and sandwich on the way to his next visit.
This was a new customer, Beatrice “Bea”, who had come into possession of a tall clock that was, honestly, spectacular. They were younger despite what their name suggested, in their 30’s, and had inherited this particular clock from their mom’s side of the family. They had no idea what they had. Whoever had been servicing the clock before him had done a pretty good job. Doing some light maintenance and putting it into beat and talking for a bit about maintenance they could do at home, recommending some tools, and teaching them about the clock was a delightful experience.
Bea had a cornucopia of antiques, both inherited and sought out. Otto could tell they were of a mind of living in a decade that wasn’t theirs and Otto could certainly understand and appreciate the anachronistic identity. He had often been teased that he’d been born at 40 years old and was living life now as an 80 year old, tendency of grumpiness included. He didn’t hate the implication, honestly. And Atticus was a fantastic enabler of him embracing that quality. Not only were they patient with his rants about modern technology and dying craftsmanship, but they often fanned the flames of his frustration for their own amusement.
It actually took a while for Otto to realize he was being teased. And when he confronted Atticus they admitted it, apologized, and promised they would stop if he felt made fun of. Really, they just enjoyed seeing that passion riled up and supported the basis of his arguments. After some consideration Otto decided that he was fine with being teased, but only because he was supported. After a while it was discovered that they both had a tendency to tease each other and, despite neither of them having had a relationship quite like it, they seemed to thrive in the playfulness. But, of course, if either one of them felt like it was too much or they weren’t in the mood for it, communication was always given and the energy always shifted to sustain what the other needed. No hurt feelings. It was the most honest and safest relationship Otto had ever found himself in. Then again, his track record was pretty grim when it came to healthy relationships in general. Regardless, it far exceeded the fairly low bar he had to contend with historically.
After Bea was a string of customers including a business who often called on him to manage the street clocks when they fell behind, needed service, or there was a time change. After that was a jeweler who used his services when they got an older watch that needed repairing. The owner and employees knew how to adjust sizes, change batteries, and a million other small things that one didn’t know jewelers could do until they needed the service, but older automatic watches were something they often outsourced. He was happy to be a local contact.
And, last on his list because he knew it would take the longest, was Millie. Otto loved talking to Millie. She would feed him cookies and coffee and sometimes new snacks she had picked up at the international store that she was trying for the first time and wanted to experience with someone else.
Millie’s children had moved away from the city so she often didn’t have anyone with her. She lived alone, her husband having passed a few years prior, with her two cats and her house full of gorgeous clocks. Millie’s family had a robust history of clock repair and clock making. Her great-great-grandmother worked on Black Forest clocks in Germany. And though Millie, herself, had never pursued a career in horology, her father had been a master jeweler locally as well as a well-known handyman. Millie often compared Otto to her father in both temperament and skill. It was an extreme compliment to Otto as he had looked up her father after he met her for the first time and was astounded at all the man had accomplished and how instilled his practice had become in the city. Everyone seemed to bring up her father’s name at some point in the maker community. Even those who had been transplants to the city knew of his work and skill.
Otto probably knew more about Millie than he had of his own mother. And, in a lot of ways, Millie filled that maternal role the way his mother never had. The octogenarian (in the genuine sense as opposed to the assigned sense Otto was referred as) was refreshingly open and inclusive. Her family had lived lives of oppression and minority. The lessons she chose to take from that reflected in showing everyone love and acceptance. How quick she had learned Atticus’ pronouns was proof positive that if someone put enough thought and caring into wanting to respect someone then it was just that much easier to do so correctly.
As predicted, he spent a few hours with Millie. It was clock winding day and Millie always invited Otto over to help her. And while it had been an incredibly fulfilling visit, as it always was, he had only consumed cookies, coffee, and a spicy curry-like snack Millie had opened and put in bowls for them. And, well, Otto did enjoy spicy food.
Otto had texted Atticus that he wouldn’t be back in time for dinner so to go ahead and reheat last nights dinner for themselves. He was going to get something from a restaurant on the way home. Atticus made a tease about his food choices today and recommended an antacid before bed tonight. Otto sighed as he looked up from the text. His partner was probably right. He could already feel some bloating and pressure from the curry snack.
When he finally got back home he found Atticus typing furiously on their laptop on the couch in the living room. Their small body was balled up, face inches from the screen. A notebook with writing scrawled on the pages was beside them.
Otto had told them many times before that they were free to use his desk when he wasn’t in, but this almost fetal position they took while engaged in the story they were writing seemed preferable to good posture. He’d have to remember to offer a shoulder massage tomorrow. Tomorrow. Which was to be blissfully free of any form of work-related activity. He sighed, getting their attention.
“Hey,” he said, sheepishly.
“Hello...the shadow of my husband. You look beat,” Atticus said, suppressing a yawn that seemed sympathetic in the timing, and stretching with audible pops in their neck and back.
“No offense, spouse, but you don’t look much better. Which means...you made progress?” Otto said, recognizing the passionate drive their typing had presented when he walked in.
“Oh god, so much. And if I stop now I feel like I’ll lose it, honestly,” they replied.
“Then...as it is almost midnight I think I should probably wish you goodnight and head to bed,” Otto said, regretfully.
“Is it really? Damn. No, right. I’m sorry. It’s just I’ve got such a thing going...ugh!” Atticus replied, desperately gesturing to the screen.
“No, no. That wasn’t meant to be a dig. Besides, I’m exhausted. I have the whole day free tomorrow. We’ll make up for today, okay?”
“Yeah,” Atticus said with a smile. “Okay. I love you…”
“Love you too, my little comma,” Otto said with a laugh.
“Oh, am I scrunching again? Ugh, yeah. Okay, straightening out now. Figuratively speaking. Well literally...bodily...not sexually. It...you get it,” they said, brain firmly planted on the story and not on making much headway in any other forms of intelligence at the moment.
“Goodnight,” he said, shaking his head in amusement. He put a kiss on their forehead as he went upstairs hearing an echo of his goodnight from behind him as he climbed the stairs. If he didn’t get to bed quickly he would faceplant before he did. Oh and that antacid? It had been a good thought.
A few hours later Atticus’ mind had finally insisted that it could no longer function to make words into sentences on the seemingly too bright screen. So, saving the work on the hard drive, saving the work on a cloud source they paid for, and saving the work on an external hard drive they uncurled themselves from the couch and got ready for bed.
Atty hadn’t always slept in the same bed as Otto. When they first moved in neither one was sure about being able to share a bed. But as the relationship deepened and they became more comfortable with being physically near one another, and then a bit obsessive of it at times, both of them found they preferred sharing a bed. But usually on nights where Atticus was getting to bed so late the writer would tuck themselves into the loft bed to avoid disturbing their partner.
Considering they hadn’t really seen Otto all day and that Otto didn’t have any commitments later that morning Atticus leaned toward the side of selfishness in wanting to sleep near him tonight. So, stripping down to boxer briefs, they crept into the room and turned on a warm lamp light on their side of the bed.
Otto was not usually a deep sleeper but they could tell by his face that he was utterly catatonic-seeming as he hadn’t even flinched when the light had come on. Atticus’ back-sleeper husband had his hands lightly resting over his chest and his lips very gently parted as he breathed softly with just the slightest of soft whistle as breath moved in and out of his mouth. Atticus smiled.
(Hiccups start here, you adorable scanner looking for hiccups!)
They shuffled their body into the covers and then perked up, back cracking a little as they straightened it abruptly. What was that sound? A radar went off in their brain usually saved for picking up the sound of a hiccup. But that didn’t make any sense. They waited a little and felt a small shudder in the bed and there the sound was again. Like a very soft ‘uck’ from the side of...Otto.
Suspiciously Atty turned toward the man and watched him patiently. It didn’t take long for their baffled hunch to be proven.
Otto’s body spasmed beside them, chest pulling and stomach pooching out quickly. His neck punched in above his clavicle. At the movement a soft ‘uck’ left his lips, croaky and deep. The bed gave a tremor and so did Atticus. Did he genuinely have the hiccups as he slept?
A few more minutes watching him intensely proved that to be true. Some of the hiccups were soundless, his body jolting. In the several minute span of watching Atticus saw rapid hiccups as well as solitary ones that were more evenly spaced. And while him hiccuping with such soft abandon was incredibly confusingly arousing, it was also heartwarmingly endearing.
At no point did Otto’s face indicate he was in any form of wakefulness during the attack. It was the picture of peace aside from a few twitches that were normal as someone slept. A few times his head moved side to side with a particularly hard hiccup, but overall the hiccups seemed to be integrated into his sleep as much as snoring would be. And, as Otto’s body temperature ran warmer, he rarely had anything but a light sheet on and that had long since been pushed down his body during the night so that his white undershirt laid softly against the perfect silhouette of his chest and belly.
Atticus was overwhelmed. But, they were also teetering on exhaustion. It was a very confusing place to be, energy-wise. For a good long while they just sat there staring at the event of Otto hiccuping in his sleep. Soft ‘huk’s, rapid silents, sometimes louder hiccups and doubles likes ‘huck-UCK’ would materialize startling Atticus but not having any effect on Otto other than to jostle his head about a little.
The hiccups would interrupt sleep grunts and sighs. At one point Atticus was SURE that Otto had woken because he smacked his lips together and sniffed only to hiccup three times afterward. But with a soft grunt his lips slowly parted again and he was still asleep.
Fifteen minutes of being a passive observer in the dim light of their lamp had passed before they could no longer help themselves. They had to cuddle. They were having physical contact withdrawals without the hiccups appearing (for the first time in a month or two at that), and this was too much to simply be a passive observer to.
Slowly they scooted over and snuggled their head on Otto’s chest. Otto grunted, hiccuped, sniffed, hiccuped two more times, and finally started shifting taking a breath that indicated he was stirring. Atticus tried not to feel guilty when he looked down at them blearily, head thrown back into his pillow at another hiccup. He gave them a dopey smile and lifted his arm off his chest and pulled it around them pulling his partner closer to his body.
“H-uk!-hey,” Otto said hoarsely.
“Hey,” Atticus repeated. “You have the hiccups, sir.” They said it very matter-of-factly to prevent themselves from stuttering over the word.
“I do?” Otto said and jolted with three silent hiccups that hit him in a row. He blinked owlishly, eyes wide in recognition. “Oh!” He put the hand that was not embracing Atty on his chest in surprise.
Atticus had put a hand over Otto’s diaphragm and shivered as it rewarded the touch with those three hiccups. The softness of Otto’s belly jiggled gently under his shirt.
“I don’t know how long you had them before I came in, but you’ve been going for at least 15 minutes while I’ve been here,” Atticus informed.
“Mm huck! Well I guess that mk!-ex-explains hmuck!-the dream,” Otto muttered, eyes closing momentarily, exhaustion trying to steal back his consciousness.
“Oh?” Atty asked, desperate to hear him talking again.
They were awarded with a deep breath interspersed with a particularly enthusiastic stifled hiccup that sounded a bit like hrmkl. A soft grunt followed it. Atticus squirmed a little. The absolute confusion their body was in as all it wanted was to disintegrate into sleep but simultaneously it was deeply aroused and tingly was a little frustrating. But physical exhaustion was putting up a very good fight.
“Y-yeah. Um, I w-was trying t-hmk!-to tell...someone? Um. Mk! I don’t remember hmuck!-remember who...saying...I was huck’m!mk!-uh saying something but mk!-I couldn’t g-get mk!mk!-get the words out. They kept turning into bubbles. Like mk!-literal bu-bubbles mk!-that sorta floated b-by and my huck!-uh my words were tr-trapped in them. And when they huck!-when they HUCK!-whenHUCK!” Otto paused and let a couple more hiccups in the cluster pass before trying again. Now that he was awake and talking the hiccups seemed to be a bit more enthusiastic on being heard. He grunted.
He felt another squirm from his partner and rubbed their shoulder in response. He now had his eyes opened and had been watching their hand on his stomach jump with its movements. He never noticed his body’s response to hiccups before they learned about Atticus’ kink. But now he was intensely aware of how his chest caved in and his stomach popped out. And he even knew how his neck pulled inward at Atticus’ informing him of it. He had found himself more than once watching in the mirror and being sort of fascinated by what his body did when he hiccuped and how it made sense where he felt the pulls of muscles with each spasm and why his chest got so sore if he had them for too long.
“When the bubbles popped,” he was finally able to get out quickly before next hiccup. “All the huck!-words would come out in s-sounds hmuck!-n-not words but huck!-but just the sounds of hmk!-of all the le-letters at on-hmkuh once hmk! Hmuck! Huck’m! Mm.”
“How the hell did you sleep through this?” Atticus wondered aloud. Their ear was pressed into his chest listening to the thumps and swallows that accompanied his hiccups.
“No idea,” Otto admitted with a light laugh and a smattering of hiccups. “I d-don’t know if I’ve mk!-ever hic-huck!-hiccuped in my sleep! Erk!”
“Did you take that antacid?” Atty asked.
There was a pause from him that was for more than just to let another cluster of silent hiccups pass.
“Fu-UCK,” he muttered.
Atticus laughed at the appropriateness of the hiccup’s timing even while Otto put a hand on his head in a gesture of self immolation.
For a moment Atticus had wondered if Otto had fallen back to sleep. The hiccups had gotten a bit softer now that he wasn’t talking. His hand had stayed over his eyes.
“Are you feel-feeling…?” Otto asked incompletely as he peeked beneath his hand to catch Atticus’ eye.
“A little,” Atticus admitted, snuggling further into Otto’s belly, letting the bounces move their head. They felt Otto’s long fingers stroking their scalp and sighed contently. They gave his stomach a little rub and felt the vibration of Otto humming between hiccups.
“Did hmk!-did you want hmk!-wanna hmk!hmk!…” Otto asked, again trailing off with implication.
“Mmm,” Atticus said, groaning a little in indecision before sighing. “No. I’m too tired. Can we just...cuddle? I just...wanna feel them. I know that’s a little weird...probably.”
“Not that we-hock!-weird,” Otto conceded. “There’s a lot goin-hmk!-going on here hmk!” He said this while gesturing to his torso as a whole.
“There certainly is,” Atty agreed enthusiastically. “Can we spoon?”
“For a hmk!-for a little hmk!-little wh-hmk!-while. Hmk!” Otto agreed.
Atticus knew that Otto tended to overheat easily so spooning indefinitely wouldn’t be happening. As they shifted themselves and Otto’s arm pulled around them, holding Atticus almost like one would hold a teddy-bear, against his torso with his head and nose buried softly in the nape of their neck, Atticus said, “I’m sorry that I woke you. I should’ve let you sleep.”
“D-don’t be hup! We’re gonna have all hulp!-day tomorrow to c-hup!-catch up on sleep. Hmk!mk!mk!” he said, grunting at the deepness of the last hiccup. For the most part the hiccups had felt like flutters but that last one he could feel pull his chest in deeper than the others.
“Ooh, that one was deep,” Atticus commented.
“Yeah,” Otto agreed breathily, snuggling more into their hair and breathing in amid more hiccups.
“If you need to cure--”
“Mm-mm mmk!,” Otto said, negating the suggestion. “I’m mk!-just gonna let them mk!-go awa-mk!-go away on their own.”
Atticus chuckled.
“Too ti-hock!-tired!” He murmured into his partner’s curls.
Atticus, for their part, was keeping it together. Most of it was that their body simply didn’t have the energy to act on the arousal they felt. They let the tingling sensations swell and ebb as they felt the softness of Otto’s midsection dance into their lower back. They felt the jerk of his chest against their upper back. They felt the jolting twitch of his head against their shoulders. Their body moved with his as every hiccup hit.
Soon it became less of an arousal and more of a ride as their mind started to lose its consciousness. The sensations of the sheets and bed faded as they were rocked unevenly but not unlike a child in a cradle. A jerky cradle, but also a soft one. Huffs of air were exhaled onto their neck. Atticus wouldn’t remember all of their dreams but they would realize when they woke up that they hadn’t been entirely dry ones.
True to Otto’s nature he had rolled away from Atticus during the night but kept one arm around them in some fashion. Also, gratefully, the hiccups seemed to have ceased at some point as he woke up without them. Atticus had curled into him, but not as closely as they had been, so they were cradled in his arm, softly breathing and Otto took a long moment to watch them twitch and breathe, grateful that the day was both of theirs to do with as they please and, even though he was definitely experiencing a little acid reflux at this point, he was anticipating that it was going to be a day of hiccups and perhaps that meant a day of orgasmic happenings. The release would be nice.

Delightful!!!
I did a genuine chuckle-laugh!
worm when uhh. yeah.
iirc one of your fics mentioned Otto having been with people possessing various sexual organs. were they also of various genders or is that not solidified
in my brain atty is men only but Otto seems like he'd have been Resident Bi Slut in his late teens/early-mid 20s. attraction can be fluid tho so maybe even if he was, that could've changed since then.
also uh if they both have backstories somewhat, is there a story to how they met and got together? the proposal and wedding preparations? wedding day maybe..
cuz like I've read All of them and it's like slice of life ottocus, early relationship stage/kink confession ottocus, honeymoon, sick otto, roleplay, Mark's party, hiatus, atty's birthday (probably not the exact order chronologically but I think that's the post order since the first one?)
obvi this is like kinkfic stuff so I don't expect any overarching plot or something but you gave Otto so much trauma there has to be more dots to connect between then and "the beginning"
I think at some point it was said that they had mutual friends and Mark introduced them. beyond that....? 👀
n I doodled some silly Atticus frames after reading the newest one 😭😭 (they're just so funny 💔 I had to produce that visual) do u want
errr hopefully whenever u read this u had a good sleep beforehand (watch me already be awake by then 💀) and manifesting u and ur friends being ok soon!! yeeting healing and peaceful energy at y'all smh.. fr tho once everybody's good u should all go get tea or cupcakes or somethin
imma go pretend to sleep but actually draw and dissociate for like an hour until I pass out byeeeee
@worm-writes-hicfics
This must've sent when you opened the page up, because I JUST got it!
Oh, Otto is bi as hell. You're right on the money with that.
(Just erased a lot of text because it's more trauma that isn't really helpful to the question.)
He went a little wild in college. (Definitely Bi slut era.) He never finished his degree. Peek alcoholic life so lots of Stuff (tm).
He is still on the asexual spectrum (grey/demi). Having a kink that is related to arousal would probably make sex fun, I would assume! (Though I don't relate, personally. It's been interesting to write from that perspective and I'm probably doing not-so-well on it, but I'm trying!) But, like he told Atty in one story, a relationship based primarily on sex never worked out for him.
As far as Atticus, they actually have been physically attracted to all genders, but they haven't really had much romantic attraction. I don't think it would've mattered at all what gender (or nongender) a person was. They are also asexual in the same way I am, so they haven't had any experience with sex by the time they met Otto. (But plenty of experience with masturbation and knowledge of their own body.)
(Try and imagine THAT vulnerability as they say they want to masturbate on his couch to his hiccups!!)
They doubted they had romantic attraction as well before Otto and still have doubts about being completely romantic. They would probably fussily identify as demiromantic if they were forced to define it.
I think the stories have been mostly masc focused because, for some reason, I enjoy experiencing hiccups in masc identifying and presenting people more than femme. I think I would also enjoy hiccups in nonbinary or non-gendered people, I just haven't experienced that, yet. (That I know of.)
I, myself, find femme just as attractive as masc beyond the kink. (femme and masc identified by societal gender roles, of course) And I find nonbinary energy and non-gendered energy attractive as well! I find PEOPLE attractive. (I know, I'm pulling a Schitt's Creek David moment with that, sans sex. I would QPR with anyone, honestly.)
The story of how they met is a work in progress. I think Mark was a lead detective on a case based around a series of robberies.
Atticus was one of several renters in an apartment complex where a bunch of robberies took place on the same day. During the interview Atticus mentioned that in addition to some valuables being taken whoever the idiot was who robbed them knocked a mantel clock, a family heirloom, off where it was sitting as they left. Ever since, the clock hadn't worked right.
Atty was more pissed off about the clock than the TV and laptop. Mark happened to "know a guy" and that's the short story of how they met. I might flesh it out a little more at some point. We'll see. No hiccup content, though.
I'm trying to remember what I had ultimately decided for the proposal. I had a thought of it at one point. I need to come back to it with something else because whatever I thought of didn't stick in the lore. It was probably incredibly adorable though. Something like Atticus giving Otto a poem to read over and get his opinion on and the last line being "Will you marry me?" or some cheesy shit like that. You know, something to make you scream "OMG, I hate this so much! Augh why?!! I love them!!"
I might try to workshop that a little more and see what I come up with. I honestly don't even know which one of them actually proposed.
I will say, expect inconsistencies in the stories, for sure. I was initially writing them as a one-off so, much like a pilot to a series is inadequate in predicting the tone of a show once it's picked up, the first few stories were me just realizing I was actually crafting characters that might last a few more times and have deeper story potential.
I should probably explore Atticus' base friend group in addition to Otto's. Otto's is basically Mark, Ralph (Mark's detective partner), Alice (Mark's wife), Margie, Cindy, and Jana (Mark's Ex). I do think Atticus knew of Cindy previous to meeting Otto, but I don't think they were friends.
I guess because Otto was based around a character and his friends are based on other characters in the same show, I sort of borrowed from that so much that I neglected to give Atticus a proper social group.
I mean, this is kink fic so...it's not necessary but...it might be interesting to explore.
I WANT ALL ARTS YES PLEASE!
Ahem.
Yes, that would be nice.

cuz like I've read All of them and it's like slice of life ottocus, early relationship stage/kink confession ottocus, honeymoon, sick otto, roleplay, Mark's party, hiatus, atty's birthday (probably not the exact order chronologically but I think that's the post order since the first one?)
obvi this is like kinkfic stuff so I don't expect any overarching plot or something but you gave Otto so much trauma there has to be more dots to connect between then and "the beginning"
@worm-writes-hicfics

Ayyyyyy!
Drain siblings!
(which was literally the worst part)
I'm super curious to see how your interpretation compares to the actual character he's based off of.
This is super cool!!
(Also, a prompt for your other post: 👼🏼laying down bed, sore from/during a long bout of hiccups and 😾 laying in his head on his chest fluff and purring to sooth his chest? )
(from @worm-writes-hicfics)
if u haven't already in a previous post would u be up to like uhhh give physical descriptions of otto n atticus i wanna draw them and like know exactly what to picture when reading your fics lol
no pressure tho im bein silly asf rn
Awww! This is actually really cool and I love talking about these dudes!
Otto is around 6'3. He's lanky in that he has long arms and legs, but he has broad, rounded shoulders. His core is pretty broad as well and his tummy is soft and pooches out a little. It doesn't help that he slouches regularly. He has a longish torso as well.
He has a beard and mustache, both trimmed. He's got a very prominent brow bone (but his brows aren't particularly bushy). His eyes tend to look a little wild when he gets excited or emotional, but his eyelids rest a bit heavier when he's calm or tired. He has dark brown eyes.
He has freckles all across his nose and cheeks and down his shoulders. (and lighter everywhere else on his body)
He does have body hair, but it's a bit more delicate that you'd expect. A peppering of body hair in the conventional places for someone running on testosterone.
His hair is tamed on most days with a side part, but his curls go wild pretty easily. He's starting to grey as well, which is showing in both his beard and his hair. His hair is brown, but not dark brown.
His hands are large, fingers long and thin.
He has a delicate nose and larger lips.
I keep Atticus a bit more ambiguous. They're basically me (idealized to a certain extent), but I don't like to describe them too much more than I do in the fic in case someone wants to picture themselves in their place.
Atticus is short, around 5'. They have thick curly hair they style in an undercut of some sort. They have brown eyes and freckles and wear glasses. I picture their glasses a little different than my own. Their glasses are black-rimmed and squarish with perhaps a little thickness at the top of the frame.
In the past they've had larger frames that were plastic and tortoise shell patterned.
They have a pretty stunning mustache (this is the idealized part...) that they either trim at their top lip or let grow and style at the sides in a bit of a casual handlebar. They also have sideburns and tend to get stubble throughout the day.
They have sparse but dark body hair on their chest and stomach and other places body hair normally grows. (Chest and stomach are idealized for me...it's getting there but it's sloooow.) They have white streaks of silver hair mixed with their dark brown hair on the sides of their head.
They have freckles on their arms and shoulders. They have light freckles on their face.
Atticus based on me has a pretty small frame, but I hope they can be read with a larger frame as well. They have a soft belly that pooches a little. They actually really enjoy the feeling of having a belly.
The scar from their top surgery mimics mine. Instead of the classic two scars it's a scar that goes from one armpit to the other and meets in the middle in a point, the scar curving downward over their pecs. So, like a very wide, curvy 'w'.
Um, I think that's it. I mean, hell, is that enough? It might be too much. You're welcome????

Love this art!
A note, though, that if Atticus had their hand under Otto's back, they would have a very ded hand. (He's easily over 200 lbs by a decent stretch. Broad-shouldered long boy with skinny legs, my beloved.)
So, my guess is the reason for the incision lines under the areolas as opposed to just cutting and sinching is to keep the shape of the boobies without any folding. (Keyhold is pretty common terminology, too. A lot of smaller bewb people who go flat are able to get keyhole surgeries. I...was not.)
If you think of your human skin as a thick piece of fabric and consider just taking the stuffing out and trying to sew it back up as you reattach the little circle bit, you're going to have some warping. That scarring is super common for larger reductions, honestly. That incision allows the boob to still resemble a boob. Like a boob pattern.
My scars go right up to my back under my pits (they said they "cut to the table"). At some point I'm going to get a revision because there's a little pouch of fat back there that pooches a bit. Probably just a liposuction revision. Pretty simple.
I have pretty noticeable scars even though I'm over a year out. They keloid right in that center bit. And there are stretches of keloids of various thicknesses right up into my armpits where they are a bit flatter. A couple of small sections are starting to become a small white line. I imagine, with time, all of it will fade into a more subtle scar.
I would assume it's different to see your kid bloody versus strangers bloody but...ionno.
Anyway, thank you for art. I love how you draw my self-insert. They're so much cooler than meee!
suspending the fact that i should be asleep right now
filler episode scene type shit
one day atty is just playing around with otto's torso during a case, gently poking and squishing him to see what happens (either getting them hot asf or they're on hiatus and doing it nonchalantly)
otto being ballsy one day and kinda like interviewing atty on what exactly it is about those things that they like so much, nitty gritty stuff idk
