Since I've seen many posts about people missing how common asks used to be, I have been trying to send to more asks to engage more. I really don't want to bother anyone though so I'd love to know if you enjoy receiving asks and if so what kind of asks. Detailed? Vague? Work? Fandom? Movies? Books? Childhood? Gardening? Thoughts? OTPs? OCs? I'm sure there are way more categories, I'm not limiting you to these listed options. Perhaps if it's an easier question what types of asks do you not like?
I love that you send me asks! I'm sorry I don't reciprocate. I'll try to make an effort to do so. I'm mostly flying through Tumblr in the moments I have between things so I don't wander off of my feed much. Asks are fine! I'd even draw doodles to go with them if they inspire me. (And if I have time.) Here's a some things that I'm currently into:
Books: I'm currently reading two management books. I am boring as far as books are concerned. Although, it's just about time for me to start a Discworld re-read.
Fanfic: I'm hella into My Hero Academia right now and lurve to read big, sprawling AU fics. I am always into Batfam stuff. I will always have a soft spot for Hobbits
My balcony birdfeeders
Movies: Oooh I finally watched the Barbie movie.
Manga: I just read My Hero Academia: Illegals and quite enjoyed it. Do Web Toons count as Manga? I read a couple of those, too.
Anime: I'm actively watching a few including 'So, I'm a spider. So what?', 'Solo Levelling', 'Shangri-La Frontier', 'Mashle: Magic and Muscles', 'Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside', 'The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids -A Tank with a Rare 9999 Resistance Skill Got Kicked from the Hero's Party', 'The Unwanted, Undead Adventurer', and 'The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic'
TV shows: Honestly, I just watch Crunchyroll these days. I think the last TV show I watched was Hilda on Netflix. Why yes, I do prefer animation to live action.
OTPs, OCs, opinions, etc are all welcome to ask about.

Fangirl Asks
I was tagged by @simone020896 @eatapinkwafer @cooldoyouhaveaflag @my-little-yellowbird Thanks for the tags, friends! Sorry for the delay in getting to these, here are my answers…
for @cooldoyouhaveaflag:
1. If you’ve written fanfiction, do people in your real life read it? Would you want them to if they don’t’?
I’ve just started writing fanfic and have only written 2 ½ fics. No one in my RL has read them and I doubt they would appreciate them properly without the background of the show. But if they showed an interest in CtM and/or my writing I would want them too, but probably only the people who are closest to me.
2. Are you usually active in your fandoms? If yes, how long before you join in?
CtM is my first fandom! I lurked for about 1 ½ years before joining. First it was because of the delay between CtM airing in the UK and the USA and not wanting to see any spoilers. Then it was because I was scared that I might say or do the wrong thing or that I wouldn’t have anything to contribute or that no one would be interested in any of my comments. I shouldn’t have worried…everyone in this fandom is generous, welcoming, helpful and friendly!
3. What is your dream fic about your OTP?
One that never, ever ends! I love epic fics that savor the details of the daily life and love of Turnadette and family.
for @my-little-yellowbird
1. How has fangirling made an impact on your life?
Fangirling online has introduced me to some wonderful people, several of whom already feel like they could be life-long friends; I hope so! Secondly (and this may sound weird) but fangirling over Turnadette has actually had a positive impact on the way I view my family and marriage. Paying attention to what I valued in their fictional life allowed me to focus on the similar things that were already there in my real life and also make an effort to cultivate those that weren’t as evident in my own world. In other words, Happy Turners=Happy Teacups!
2. What makes fangirling most worthwhile to you?
The fan contributions here are incredible! Just being able to experience that has been amazing. My enjoyment of both the show and my OTP has grown exponentially because of the fandom content. Also, no one wants to hear me talk about CtM as much as the fandom does (or at all really)!
3. What have you learned about yourself by being a part of a fandom?
It’s still early for me in the fandom, but I’m learning that I do have some creativity to contribute here! That came as a total surprise to me.
for @eatapinkwafer:
1. What’s something you’d never thought you’d do but have because of a fandom?
I’ve made friends with people online…I’m always telling my kids that’s dangerous!
2. If you could be in any TV show/movie which would it be and what role would you like to play?
Call the Midwife. I would have liked to have been one of the mums of the kids at Angela’s bday party in 7.8…except I’m too old; I could be one of Timothy’s friend’s mums, though…maybe his girlfriend’s mum in s8!
3. Is there any storyline that has impacted you personally?
A few…Timothy’s polio, because I’ve had to endure one of my own children’s hospital stay; Shelagh/Sister B’s medical tests/surgery, because I’ve had more than my fair share of health issues; and on a lighter note anything with the Cubs, because I used to lead my son’s Cub Scout den.
4. How would you describe your favorite show/movie to someone to convince them to watch it?
CtM: nuns, babies, handsome doctor…if that’s not enough, why am I friends with you again??? Would also add: beautiful stories, amazing attention to detail both in medical aspect and accuracy of time period, interesting look into midwifery and early NHS, endearing regular characters, the hope displayed in the wider community scenes.
5. Have you convinced anyone to watch a favorite show/movie of yours and they got hooked?
Pre-CtM, I got my mom hooked on Downton Abbey. She has never gotten on board with CtM, though.
6. Have you ever cancelled plans or left early in order to watch an episode of your favorite show or for a fandom thing?
I was pretty insistent about rushing home from church to catch s7 as it aired on BBC. And I may have been heard saying, “No one talk to me for the next hour!” as I ran from the car to my computer, eight weeks in row…
7. How many fandoms have you been in and what are they?
CtM/Turnadette is my first fandom ever!
8. What scene first got you hooked on your OTP?
I think it was when Sister B sewed the button on Dr T’s coat…
for @simone020896:
1. If you could marry one CtM character, who would you choose?
For me there’s only one answer to this question: Patrick! But only in a parallel universe to one where he still gets to marry his Shelagh.
2. What is your all-time favorite song/soundtrack from CtM?
Original music: In the Mirror
Pop song: Shangri-La by The Four Coins
Plainsong: Psalm 91
3. If you had to choose between being Patrick’s new intern or working as a midwife at Nonnatus, what would you choose?
Definitely a Nonnatus midwife…I like the uniform, I think I’d be better suited to working in midwifery than general practice, and I’d probably still get to work with Patrick sometimes.
My questions: They are the same ones from my 11 Questions post
1. How did you come to join your first online fandom?
2. If your first fangirling obsession pre-dates access to fandoms, what was the show and/or your OTP?
3. If your OTP came to visit you in your town (in present day) where would you take them?
4. What three things do you have in common with your favorite character?
5. What prop would you most like to have from your favorite show? (I borrowed this question from a behind the scenes CtM interview.)
6. Same question but for an article of clothing.
7. Where would you like to see your OTP go on vacation and why?
8. Do you have a) multiple OTPs; or are you b) a one-OTP-at-a-time person?
9. In question 8, if you answered a) list your top three OTPs; if you answered b) what was the OTP you dropped for your current one?
10. If you lurked in your fandom before joining (or even if you didn’t), is there a fellow fan whom you consider “famous” in the fandom that makes you fangirl whenever they comment on your posts?
11. Was there a particular person who was especially welcoming and/or helpful when you first joined your current fandom?
I tag: anyone who wants to do this! I’d love to read your answers!

First 15 questions? (I will reply yours when I will get my internet back)
FAVS:
1. song right now?Lobotomy by LIPHLICH, as something picturing perfectly what happened to me. Or maybe BELIAL by The Gallo
2. Visual kei band of all time?Do we say BUCK-TICK is off limits or not? If it is, it gets complicated with my sentiment for Fatima, finding everything I need in LIPHLICH, going to kagerou and MERRY for incentive to take action… And then there’s Morrie, so, so important in my life.
3. ship/OTP?I wholeheartedly support the great platonic love between Imai and Sakurai. Same goes for Morrie and Sugizo.
4. Visual kei band member?Kuga. As long as he stays alive.
5. Album/EP?[six-nine]Hatsumei by LIPHLICH. Highly recommend.
6. Old school Visual kei band?Respecting wishes of certain musicians I can only name D'ERLANGER.
7. Modern Visual kei band?LIPHLICH!!!
8. Era of visual kei?Second half of ‘90s probably.
9. Visual kei PV?Tsuki senkou teru by PENICILLIN
10. Song to hear live from your favourite artist?Almost had a full list for the MERRY live. Midnight Shangri-la is a must, Japanese Modernist even more, and [collector], and…
11. non Visual kei song?love letter!!! Serpent Silver!!! So much great stuff to choose from!
WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO:
12. Rob a bank with? Sugizo. Crazy prepared and super aware of every camera in the room. The question is, why would he go with me.
13. Bathe? No better answer than Sakurai Atsushi.
14. Teach your language? I’d be happy to teach Kuga some words in every language I know, just to give him some concepts to work on.
15. Share an apartment with?Takky, so I can borrow his hats. And some other stuff.
Thank you! ❤

"Just In Case My Faith Go (I Live By My Own Law)" perhaps?
You might’ve picked up on the fact that I’ve made it my personal mission to spread my Mohan Ghale/Yuma Lau brainworms to every Far Cry account I come into contact with ever since I first had the “they’d actually go really well with each other” revelation a while back, and Just In Case My Faith Go (I Live By My Own Law) was my first attempt to actually get something about them down on paper.
I started writing it this past December, though progress slowed in February. Set in the mid eighties, it centers around the royalist effort to reclaim Durgesh and the surrounding area of Kyrat’s northern mountains, a campaign Mohan is spearheading alongside Yuma and her mercenaries. It’s written with the knowledge that their relationship will never be allowed to fully develop in the way that Ishwari and Pagan’s does kept in mind, but the attraction is still there, and it is strong.
Early on, Mohan, who is trying to navigate both family and leadership in an emotionally significant and extremely destructive civil war, finds himself enamored with the power Yuma displays over her privateers, despite the fact that they have no real investment in the conflict due to their status as hired mercenaries. She’s barely twenty, physically unintimidating and notably unfeminine, yet she maintains unimpeachable control over them through social intimidation, drug supply, and the ever-present promise of steep financial rewards - Mohan’s men might be fighting for the soul of their country, but Yuma’s are fighting for gold, and gold is pretty damn enticing, it turns out. He’s repulsed by the parts of her which challenge traditional Kyrati norms, but also covertly intrigued by them, especially when it becomes clear that Yuma does hold a genuine curiosity about Kyrat’s religion and culture. He’s also a cultural conservative who’s been away from his wife for a hot minute, so he’s starting to boil over sexually.
Yuma, on the other hand, has only just left the Hong Kong Triad she was brought up in. It was an environment where the one true god was greed and everyone around her (except Pagan) was only interested in her for her money. Mohan is the first idealist she’s ever met, truly believing in something bigger than himself with a fervor that she is both disdainful of and curious about. She’s also taken an interest in the new world of myth and legend Kyrat introduces her to, as different from the Triad’s brutal materialism as can be, and is open to being taught about it by her weird, married co-leader.
War, religion, xenophobia, and general bullheadedness feature heavily. To fit that, the title comes from Black Panther’s Pray For Me.
Here are some (largely disconnected) snippets! (Tw for xenophobia and misogyny.)

Pagan, Joseph Mohan reading thirst tweets 😂😂😂😂
Pagan is thrilled by the exercise. Absolutely delighted. Often responds to thirst tweets with his main account and loves to see how people gush about him when he does.
Joseph doesn’t know what “prussy (priest bussy)” is and has no interest in learning.
Mohan’s tag consists of what’s essentially hagiography interspersed with a few graphically horny tweets from someone with a blacked out pfp and the user “trxad_spxder.” This is all their account ever posts. He gets the impression that they’re angry at him.

Yuma’s nicknames are “Spider” and “Foreign Whore.” Mohan’s only canon alias is “Cunt.” They’re perfect for each other.

I love how Pashwari is “we were both actively trying to sabotage each other but somehow ended up learning a lot” and Mohan/Yuma is “we were both actively trying to make each other better but somehow ended up making each other like, 100x worse.”
#tfw when you both have such skewed viewpoints that any attempts to guide the other in a good direction is inadvertent moral carcinogen 😩👌🏾#Mohan: this is my country’s religion and folklore if you want to live here you should learn it#Yuma: oh okay so all powerful demonic figure I can invest my thwarted hopes for a future with more agency in? thanks#Yuma: I know you’re at war and I was raised in organized crime so I’ve essentially been doing this my whole life; here’s how you survive#Mohan: …abandon open mindedness and mercy as forms of weakness and demand absolute obedience from your loved ones? aight.#far cry 4#pashwari#pagan min#ishwari ghale#mohan ghale#yuma lau#otp: from shangri la with love

Me: yeah so it’s weird how Mohan’s journal’s first mention of Yuma introduces her like he’s never heard of her before despite the fact that she apparently served as second in command to Pagan’s forces in both Kyrati civil wars, including the one they fought in alongside Mohan; there are several parts of the journal that are meant to serve as notes to other people, though, so I suppose you could explain that as him introducing her to whoever might not know who she was. Even more strangely, Yuma’s dialogue implies that it is rumored that she herself murdered Mohan, yet she goes out of her way to deny this even when not directly accused of it, insinuating in the process that she didn’t actually have any intense desire to see him killed and had more personal hatred for his wife instead-

Duality of man rearing it’s ugly head in the form of me thinking “Yuma views romantic relationships as fundamentally transactional and saw her mother and father gunned down in front of her before puberty, wartorn Kyrat is the last place she’d want to have children” and “Mohan’s entire existence is a masterclass in People Who Should Not Be Around Babies” and “their son’s name is Himadri it means mountain” all at the same time

When Pagan catches Mohan/Yuma in a compromising position, he reacts by grounding her even tho she's 18-19 😂 😂 😂 😂
Pagan believes wholeheartedly that the fact that he murdered their actual dad means he has now assumed all Dad Privileges ala Kirby swallowing an enemy. And yes, he fully intends to hold onto these acquired rights, no matter how old Yuma gets or how unbothered he is by the other half of the Ghale household getting a triad sidepiece.

I don’t know man sometimes you just think about Mohan gravitating towards Yuma as the only member of the group Pagan brings with him when he first joins the Golden Path who shows a real desire to learn about Kyrati culture, or at least one huge part of it in the form of it’s religion….only for the two of them to ultimately get placed on opposite sides of yet another bloody conflict, each forced to turn the propensity for extreme devotion they both possess against the thing the other holds most dear; Yuma’s brother, who Mohan crusades against mercilessly, and Mohan’s country and heritage, which the Mins plunder to enrich themselves.
#do you think either of them wonder how the other is doing once they go to war?#these two macho emotional assholes?#otp: from shangri la with love#far cry 4#yuma lau#mohan ghale
