haikyuu masterlist
Tsukishima loves to tease the shit out of you, and that hasnât really changed since you started getting bigger. But now, heâll hide your cravings in the top shelves of the pantry so you have to make him come get it. He canât help it, itâs that angry pouty look in your eyes - heâs so in love with you, even when you look like youâre about to murder him.
But despite him hiding everything you could possibly crave, he is an absolute sweetheart. He calls his mom every now and then to update her about you and the baby, probably asks about what she liked when she was pregnant. She tells him stories about liking to read to him and his brother, or how she enjoyed a nice bath if she was particularly sore that day. She even joked that she found it really hard to put her shoes on so typically she just wore slippers or easy to slip on shoes.
Cut to the next day, you wake up to Tsukishima reading a book of dinosaur facts to your belly. Heâs not so much reading it as he is disputing and/or explaining further the facts that are written in it. He doesnât notice you wake up while he waves away the book and states, âItâs fine. When youâre here, Iâll just bring you to my museum and Iâll show you in person. I can sneak you out of daycare, just donât tell your mom.â
You had hoped to be able to keep your independence for longer than this, but found yourself struggling to properly put on your shoes. You huffed, muttering something to your unborn kid about how youâd hold this over their heads forever, and just waddled about with the backs of your shoes folded under your heel. Tsukishima raised an eyebrow as he noticed, waiting for you to sit down in the car before holding the door open and bending down to properly put your shoes on.
âKei, whatâre you doing?â You laughed, watching him swiftly tie up your laces. âTheyâre fine, theyâre old shoes anyways.â
âIf you wear your shoes like that, youâll fall and hurt yourself,â he shrugged. âI canât have you hurting the little Tsukishima just because you canât put your shoes on.â
His expression was the same plain emotionless face as usual, but you smiled anyways because here he was, kneeling in front of you and helping you with what is supposed to be a simple task.
The day went on as usual, but you definitely werenât prepared for your husband to call you into the bathroom and display the little bath he had drawn you with your favourite candle lit.
âDid you do something?â You asked him with narrow eyes, making him scoff.
He rolled his eyes, helping you out of your clothes gently, âAm I really such a bad husband that you think Iâd have to be feeling guilty to be nice to you?â
You thought about it for a moment before nodding playfully, âYup. So what did you do?â You laugh and he just flicks your forehead before helping you into the tub.
You watch as he smirks a bit, holding your chin for a second and watching your eyes, âWell Iâm the reason you got knocked up so I supposed I have to take care of you donât I?â
He doesnât hold that sultry teasing look on his face for too long, especially when you splash him with water, drenching every part of him you could reach đ.
Bokuto is in a PANIC the closer you get to the due date. You once just felt a bit tired after vacuuming and the boy thought you holding your front meant you were going into early labour.
âIâVE GOT THE CAR KEYS BUT I CANâT FIND MY WALLET!!! BABE HAVE YOU SEEN NY WALLET? I CANâT REMEMBER WHERE I PUT IT. OMG WHAT IF THEY WONT TAKE US IN. WHAT IF THERE ARE SO MANY BABIES BEING BORN WE CANT GET IN. I KNEW I SHOULDâVE TAKEN A CLASS ON BIRTHING BABIES!â
You let him run around because he honestly is so entertaining to watch while panicking. He pouts about it later, talking shit about you to your belly, âYour momâs a big meanie. You need to be born quick so we can team up on her okay?â
âKĹtarĹ! Donât you dare try to turn my baby against me!â You laughed, swatting at his head.
Man is overly prepared for any sort of situation. He already set up all the safety baby measures, like corner cushions and outlet covers, though now heâs considering locking up all the knives into a cupboard.
âKĹtarĹ... how am are supposed to cook like this?â You asked, raising an eyebrow at the lack of your sharp cooking knives.. and the butter knives.
The grown man just poured some more, âI gotta keep both my babies safe alright? Iâll cut everything for you so you donât cut yourself.â
Except for the fact that Bokuto is definitely more accident prone than you are and has a few bandaids on his fingers now.
As an expecting dad, Bokuto found himself getting more and more teary eyed at any situation that involved a family or a baby. Whether that was just seeing kids and families play in the park that the two of you walked past sometimes, or seeing a commercial for diapers with happy bouncy babies, you would turn to see a misty-eyed Bokuto who would then turn to you and wrap you in a tight squeeze.
He was beyond excited at this point to meet your little baby - he wanted to know what they would look like. The perfect mix between the most perfect woman in the world and him, who was pretty cool thank you very much. This baby was going to be the cutest most amazing kid ever, who would definitely play a really great game of volleyball, Bokuto was sure of it.
Letâs be honest though, pregnancy is not an easy journey. Bokuto loved seeing you grow the baby but he knew that it was a difficult process for you. You were always sore and at the beginning you were always sick. And there were some days where you literally didnât feel attractive or beautiful at all, but Bokuto would praise you as high as he always did regardless.
âYou are the most perfect lady I have ever laid eyes on. The most gorgeous being to ever walk this universe!â He told you one day, pressing kisses all over your face as you laid across a couch.
âThanks,â you tried to give him a smile - you always appreciated his compliments, even if you didnât necessarily agree.
âWhatâs wrong?â He asked you with a small frown, noting your forced smile.
âI just⌠feel bleh. Not at all like how youâre saying I look,â you admitted with a small smile.
Bokutoâs eyes grew wide in shock, jumping over the couch to sit down on the floor next to you. He clasped your hands in his, pressing kissing to them gently as well. âI know you might not feel it⌠but I hope you know that I still think it. I donât even have to force it. Youâre the most beautiful girl Iâve ever met, and that hasnât changed even though your body is changing a bit. I donât need you to wear the most perfect makeup or the best dress for me to think youâre gorgeous. Youâre perfect just laying here in my old sweats and Iâm happy that I get to come home to see you like this every day,â he grinned, touching your cheek affectionately.
You loved this man. He was so sweet to you in every way possible. But sometimesâŚ. sometimes his sweetness just went a little too overboard. You tried to insist to him that you were pregnant but that didnât mean you couldnât do anything. Man refuses to let you do anything for yourself. No lifting boxes, no lifting anything in fear that you might hurt your back.
âKĹtarĹ, itâs just my purse,â you tried to point out in a laugh, trying to reach it as he held it above your head.
âNope! Not happening. What if you hurt yourself?â
â... with my purse?â
âYa!â
âKĹtarĹ, I have to go shopping for food or we wonât have anything to eat. And baby needs to eat!â
âWell Iâll come with you then!â
âYouâve got practice!â
âItâs fine, Iâll tell them Iâll practice another time! My perfect wife and baby come first,â heâd grin at you and insist on opening all the doors as you two made your way to the car. You fall in love with this man more and more every day, even if he keeps stealing things from your hands.
Ushijima is a really nervous new dad, even if you canât really tell from his stoic expression. He listens intently to all of the parenting advice people give, bought a few books about newborns, and has hundreds of tabs on his laptop of ranging topics from baby products people insist are necessary, mommy blogs about what is important to do when pregnant, and research that he doesnât quite understand but feels is important nonetheless.
Ushijima isnât necessarily a man of words all the time, so you were surprised to find that he started to talk a lot more after finding out that your child could hear him.
âYou donât have to play volleyball if you donât want to,â he told them quietly one day while the two of you were on the couch. It came so out of the blue that you actually thought he was talking to you.
âHm?â
â... do you think theyâd want to play volleyball?â He asked you sheepishly, glancing at you with a shy expression.
You thought about it for a moment and slowly started to smile, âWell theyâll be attending every single one of your games so Iâm sure theyâll be at least interested in learning!â
Ushijima nodded and you watched as a soft smile graced his face. You kept your eyes on him for just a moment longer, seeing a flicker of uncertainty on him.
âWakatoshi, donât you dare think for one second youâll be a bad dad,â you warned him, poking his side and making him jump from surprised.
He stared at you for a moment, blinking, âYou know what Iâm thinking?â
âI know that youâve been worried about being a good dad ever since I told you I was pregnant. I know that youâre nervous about being the kind of dad you always wanted to have growing up. I know because Iâm terrified of being a good mom too,â you admitted with a nervous sort of smile, interlacing your fingers together. âWeâll be okay together though.â
Ushijima nodded and hummed softly, âWeâll have to take them to France.â
âFrance??â
âSatori wants to meet them too. He said he would make them chocolate.â
It wouldnât just be the baby that Satori is constantly trying to spoil, but you as well. He sends over packages of his chocolate for you to try, grinning ear to ear when you call him for a catch-up call.
âDo you like them?â TendĹ asked, and you could hear him humming to himself as he moved around a kitchen.
âI love them! But youâre going to make us fat if you keep sending them! Theyâre much too yummy for me to stop eating!â You laughed, eyes wandering to the kitchen where you knew you still had a few bits of his chocolate left.
âNo no no no. Iâm just trying to make sure your baby is a cute healthy plump baby! Theyâll grow nice and strong!â
It always made you smile, knowing that all these people who loved your husband wanted to love you and the baby as well. Even Ushijimaâs new teammates would come by and bring snacks or anything they thought might aid you in your pregnancy. Though, Kageyama wasnât really sure what pregnant people or babies liked, so he just brought a whole bag of the milk boxes he liked.
âYouâve got to grow big and strong so that I can defeat you in volleyball one day. I canât defeat your dad right now⌠cause heâs on my team. But Iâll defeat an Ushijima one day for sure,â he muttered to your belly with a fierce intensity in your eyes that made you laugh, making his ears turn red as he realized that you also heard him (Kageyama, the baby is attached to her, of course she heard you lol).
As it neared your due date, Ushijima prepared himself mentally every passing day. He wanted to be 110% ready so he went over your birthing plan mentally at least 10 times a day and reread over all the articles and information he had gathered over the months. He wanted to be the best father possible, but you insisted to him that you werenât worried about this at all. After all, he was already the best husband you could ever have asked for.

gif cut-out tutorial
ok ok so @subtledean requested a tutorial on how to do stuff like this post with the gif cutouts and the text effects. hopefully this helps aria ;w; iâm not the best at explaining things but i included some screencaps for clarity. iâve tried to compress all the sample gifs and screenshots down to under 3mb to avoid tunglr compression on mobile so if they look a little different from the actual gifset, thatâs probably why!
what youâll need:
photoshop, iâm using PS 2021 but any version of photoshop will work out
a basic knowledge of gif-making (iâm assuming you already know how to make a gif and color it).
step 0: storyboard
this isnât strictly necessary but i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it. you donât have to do any photoshopping this first step, but itâs really important to check out your footage and the shots you have gathered to see what works, especially if youâre trying to combine three or more gifs onto the same canvas. like literally take a piece of paper and draw out where you want the characterâs faces to be, where you want the cutouts to be in relation to their faces, and think about whether or not thereâs enough empty space to the right or left of characters heads for a cutout to be placed. is there too much movement that would be distracting or messy in an already busy gif?
things like that really help, and it also makes you double check on your footage quality and feasibility. if you end up making a gif where you want one characterâs face to be on the left side of the gif but it turns out thereâs not enough empty space on the right side of their face to place a cutout and you then have to hunt for new footage or start all over, itâs kind of a trainwreck and you just waste another hour of your time as you deepen your procrastination hellhole. thatâs not a real storyâ
step 1: make the base gif
iâm assuming you know how to color it already. and aria i KNOW you know how to color already so :) size it accordingly to your desired dimensions.
as you can see, i left enough space on the right side of abaddon for the knight cutout to be placed.
save this as a .psd file. you donât actually have to sharpen and do everything that comes at the end of making a gif right away, but make sure your layers are clearly labeled. do NOT convert to video timeline/smart object just yet.
step 2: make the cutout gif
this is critical: make absolutely certain your cutout gif has the same number of frames as your base gif. otherwise it could get really messy! abaddon has 20 frames, so the cutout will also have 20 frames. again, do not convert the cutout gif to a video timeline/smart object. just keep it as a frame animation. hereâs my cutout gif. itâs just a simple b&w gif but i added a touch of purple for color consistency sake whatnot.
now for this particular gif iâve actually cropped abaddon to be roughly exactly where i would want her face to be in relation to the first gif, but that is unnecessary. helpful, but unnecessary. you do NOT need the cutout gif to be cropped exactly perfect in order to make this work.
step 3: combining the two gifs
there are many different ways to combine two gifs onto the same canvas. some people like to do it via video timeline. i prefer to do it by frames and convert everything to a video timeline only at the end (itâs just a personal preference). hereâs a tutorial if you prefer working with timelines, but iâm gonna go over how to do it by frames.
first group everything in your base gif into one folder. then group everything in your cutout gif into one folder as well. you can name them however you want to keep track of things.
then, select all of the frames in your cutout gif. in this case, all 20 of b&w abaddon get selected. make sure its not just frames 4-20 or whatever, but all the frames you made. you can click frame one and then shift-click your last frame to double check.
click the timeline tab group options bar and then go to options > copy frames
now go to your base gif canvas. select ALL the frames of your base gif as well (itâs critical that all of them are selected).
now do options > paste frames.
a popup should appear and youâre going to select the âpaste over selectionâ option. do not link layers.
your cutout gif should now be completely or partially obscuring your base gif. however, now you should see two groups on your sidebar of layers. one for the base, one group for the cutout. if you labelled them with names you can tell which one is which.
step 4: creating the cutout
in order to create the cutout, we use my favorite thing in the whole world of photoshop. layer masks.
to make a layer mask, you simply select a layer or group you want to mask and then click this little icon on the row of icons at the bottom of your layers panel.
white on a layer mask means whatever group or layer is getting masked is completely visible. black on a layer mask means that the group or layer is invisible. if there is 50% gray on a layer mask, then its 50% visible. so on and so forth.
i love these so much i abuse them on the daily. iâve made a few gifs where iâve masked every frame one by one because i wanted to get some cool effects. admitting that kind of embarrasses me but oh well.
anyway this is simple though. just find a picture or an outline of a knight. i used these boyes:
obviously i cropped out the knight of the bunch, got rid of the watermark, and then i placed it on the canvas where i wanted it to go.
select the interior of the knight with the magic wand tool. should be pretty simple since itâs all black.
now click over to your layer mask. make sure you have selected the mask and not the group. you can tell you have selected the mask when a little white rectangle pops up on it.
when you know you have the mask selected, click command+i or control+i to invert. if for some reason you do not have this keyboard shortcut, just take a brush tool and color over the area in complete black. as long as the magic wand tool is still selecting just the interior of the knight, it should be fine.
now once again, black means a layer will NOT be showing, white means a layer will be showing. so right now after i disable the visibility of the top layer we used as a reference for the silhouette, it looks like:
do not fear the clownery. layer masks are great because they are always non-destructive. meaning that even if you somehow mess up and your canvas is showing something completely gross, you can always go back and edit your layer mask and your original gif would be unharmed as long as you did not touch any layers in the group, only the mask. simply invert the mask (again, make sure your mask is selected and then command+i or image > adjustments > invert) to get:
for a layer mask that looks like:
you could have also just made a black layer mask to begin with and then inverted the knight outline to be white. many different ways to do the same thing.
another tip: if you select your outline and then click layer mask upon a group or layer with no mask at the current moment, it will automatically make a layer mask with your selection as white and the unselected pixels as black. this is normally how i do my cutouts, because itâs a time-saver even if it like. saves a few seconds max. but i typed out the above for explanation and clarity, so hopefully i didnât just make anyone more confused.
anyway.
now say you donât like where the cutout abaddon is positioned. layer masks can also be linked or unlinked, depending on the little link icon you see between the group and the layer mask in the image above. if the icon is visible, the layer mask and the group are linked. if you cannot see the link icon, they are unlinked.
linked layer masks will move in conjunction with the group if any type of transform is done upon them. if the group moves, the layer mask also moves. but if a layer mask is unlinked, you can move the mask and the group independently of one another. for instance, i can change where the cutout is located on the overall canvas of the gif by simply moving ONLY the layer mask (and thereby changing where the blacks and whites of the layer mask occlude the cutout gif contents). but i can also transform the cutout gif layers without changing where the overall outline is located relative to the canvas itself. basically, i can transform the interior contents of the cutout independently. so here (make sure all of your frames are selected):
group unlinked. iâm also making sure that now i am selecting the GROUP (ie. the frames of the layers you are actually going to move) and not the layer mask. you can tell because the little white rectangle around the layer mask can no longer be seen.
now i can transform/adjust the contents of the cutout solely âwithinâ the cutout, and i donât have to worry about changing where the cutout is located in relation to the overall gif. when transforming, make sure all the frames of your gif are selected. like select the whole group and not just an individual layer, basically.
iâve seen a lot of how to combine and cut out gifs tutorials on this website, and here is a really good one that i know sully also used <3 big shoutout to all the photoshop queens being inspired by each other!! however i havenât seen anything that mentioned the linked vs. unlinked layer masks, which i really feel like deserves a shoutout. you donât have to crop your gifs out perfectly every time, you can always adjust them later. for demonstration, iâve positioned abaddon in a few different positions with an unlinked layer mask.
step 5: creating the outline
so in order to emphasize the shape of the cutout (the knight), i simply delete the white space surrounding the picture of the knight in the original silhouette that i used. magic wand tool + delete. you can also make a new layer, then paint bucket tool it. many ways to do the same thing.
now with only the knight on a transparent background, i double click the layer to pull up the effects. select outer glow. i used these settings:
when you are doing this, make sure you are on frame one of the frame animation and the âpropagate frame one settingâ is selected, otherwise you might end up only applying the effect to one out of your many frames, which blows.
then i go change the fill setting to 0%, BUT i leave opacity at 100%. fill is basically like opacity, but it doesnât affect layer effects (whereas opacity does). so you basically get only the outline but not the black. you can also set the blending mode of the layer to screen and get the same effect, etc, etc. feel free to adjust however you see fit, in addition to the outer glow settings.
i move this layer over a couple pixels to give it the little offset effect, but you donât have to.
step 6: adding the text
okay the two fonts i used are avenir and perla. i think a LOT of gifmakers use them because theyâre really pretty.
i make TWO different text layers, one with avenir in a smaller size and one with perla in a bigger size. this is because for the perla one, iâm going to be changing the blending mode whereas i donât want to be changing the blending mode for the smaller text. i position the text where i want it to be and make sure the perla font is in the color i like:
then i change the blending mode of the fancy text (perla) to difference. ONLY that layer, and again make sure to check âpropagate frame 1âł and make changes on the first frame to apply the change to all of your frames.
but i still donât think it produces enough of a difference. so i right click on the text layer for knights of hell, and then go to: select pixels.
then i click the curves adjustment layer. this will automatically make a curves layer with a layer mask that occludes everything BUT the area you selected. beautiful. i drag the curves around until i get enough of a difference that i like. normally i make the lights lighter and the darks darker. yeehaw.
again there are sooooo many different ways to achieve the same effect on photoshop. this is just want comes easiest to me, and itâs totally okay if you find a different way that works better for you at producing the contrast you want or the colors you want.
step 7: export and cry
NOW you can convert everything to a video timeline, put your video frame layers to smart objects, and then apply your finishing sharpening filters. export, cry, and hope tumblr compression doesnât screw you over.
hopefully this was helpful! pls like... idk support my edits if you found this helpful or reblog this post. feel free to dm me about how u do some of the text effects as well bc iâm always trying to learn new things and i am by no means an expert on like. any of this.
aria please go write your fucking thesis before i delete this entire tutorial challenge. :D
#subtledean#THIS IS FOR YOU#I FEEL LIKE THIS TUTORIAL HAS MORE WORDS THAN UR THESIS ATM SO!!!#tutorials#mine#idk what to tag this but PLS pls pls feel free to talk to me abt ph*toshop#or ask for help or point me towards other tutorials <3#shoutout to sully too its in there somewhere#resources#100n#ps

dangerous territory â clint b.
gif credit (x)
summary â clint stays behind during a mission, leaving you alone with him in the avengers building. seeing him sprawled out on the comfy lounge room couch gives you some naughty ideas -- only adding to the tension your relationship already has.
word count â 6.7k (literally wtf)
warnings â i ignore the entirety of iw/endgame except for clintâs makeover, extreme sexual tension, smut; switch!fem!reader, switch!clint, couch sex, oral (both recieving), fingering, slight overstimulation, dirty talk, praise
a/n â literally idk if i should be ashamed or not but im Horny 4 Hawkeye!!! oopsie !! also there are like .3 smut fics for him on here and im determined to fix that
---
Quiet was not a word youâd use to describe the Avengers Facility.
In fact, with Steveâs loud orders, Bruceâs lab explosions, and Samâs boisterous laughter -- not to mention the never-ending petty arguments that managed to revert the Avengers to 11th graders in their first debate club -- it was the farthest thing from quiet.
But, now, with zero disagreements and zero distractions, youâd been able to enjoy the building all to yourself. Almost. Of course, the one time you got to avoid a mission, you ended up falling into an even worse situation.
Youâd covered for Wanda last mission, and sheâd insisted on paying you back for the newest one. It wasnât high stakes by any means, but the work itself had countless components and everyone who was nearby -- or at least on the planet -- had been called in to fill some role. Â
Everyone, of course, except you. And Clint.
Suddenly the idea of being stuck in the Quinjet with everyoneâs post-mission moodiness sounded very appealing. You could feel a headache growing as you wandered around the kitchen, doing anything and everything in your power to avoid him. He was not supposed to be here. Hell, he didnât even like stepping foot in the place unless the world was in immediate danger.
Of course, you werenât the only one to notice his odd attitude. Natasha gave him a confused look when he mentioned staying behind, but decidedly hadnât commented, almost like sheâd already pieced together the reason for Clintâs actions. Knowing her, she probably had. But, even Wanda shot a glance that worried you -- though you seemed to be the only one to catch her squinted green gaze before it disappeared. You werenât sure you wanted to know what she saw in his mind.
Sure, you had a couple of ideas as to why he would choose to isolate himself with you, but you tried to not let those thoughts consume you. The others wouldnât be back till midday tomorrow -- if all went well -- and you were not about to spend the next 36 hours soaking your panties with stupid fantasies.
Unfortunately, even when ignoring Clint, your mind was still focused on him. When you passed by the gym or shooting range, antsy to get your daily work in, one quick thought of seeing Clintâs arms -- tensed as he loaded his bow, muscles straining and eyes focused on his target -- was enough to have you quickly walking in the opposite direction.
But, now, as you make your way into the lounge to relax, you canât find it in yourself to care. You have just as much of a right as Clint does to walk around whenever and wherever you please. In all honesty, you feel even more entitled considering youâre the one actually living in the tower (at least most of the time.)
Heâs exactly where you expect him to be -- he may be fast and quiet on his feet, but youâve been keeping tabs on him, for your own sake.
Itâs a bit odd seeing a book instead of a bow in his hands, but youâre not entirely sure you should be focused on how his fingers wrap around the thin pages, thumbing the corners so gently--
âDone avoiding me, are you?â
Well, shit.
His gaze remains on his book -- though the very few pages heâs turned assures you heâs not paying attention to whatever riveting story Tony has stocked his shelves with.
âWhat are you talking about?â you ask. Thereâs a moment of temptation to take a seat next to him on the couch, as close as possible. To feel his strong arms around you, smell the raw masculine cologne he always wears a bit too much of -- heavy on his neck and sharp jaw that you know your lips could curl around so perfectly if given the chance.
You swallow heavily and take a seat in the chair across from him, sinking into the expensive fabric.
âTony picks good furniture, right?â Clint sighs, book closing without so much as a dog-ear mark as he leans back.
Itâs silent for a second, and youâre entirely sure youâve missed a part of the conversation during your mini black-out, but Clint doesnât seem bothered in the slightest, waiting patiently for your answer. You consider it a small win and accept the change in topic with an awkward laugh.
âYeah. Didnât think price made such a big difference.â Thereâs a firmness to the chair that keeps you from sinking, and mentally, you consider if itâd be strong enough for other activities. âHow much you wanna bet he spent on each of these chairs?â you question, genuinely curious. âI gotta guess at least two grand.â
Clintâs cool eyes glint playfully. âThree,â he challenges with a smirk that sends a shiver down your spine. âThough, you should really try this couch. Definitely my favorite thing here.â
Thereâs just a hint of suggestion in his tone -- the kind that youâd miss if you werenât trained in reading people. Itâs not unexpected, though. Youâd have to be a fool to not recognize the exact same longing stares, the same lingering touches that Clint offers you. But, thatâs what makes it all more intimidating. Itâs an unspoken thing, and at this point, thatâs what feels most convenient -- even if your lonely nights spent moaning his name are growing far too common for comfort.
Still, you canât exactly ignore him, and his eyes follow you closely as you make your way to the couch, falling into the comfy cushions with a huff.
âWow.â You laugh. âNo wonder youâve been spending so much time down here.â
Clint raises an eyebrow. âSo you have been paying me some attention. Interesting.â
If he notices you shift as far to the other end of the couch as possible, he doesnât mention it.
âDonât take it personally, Barton,â you huff. âIâm used to keeping an eye on everyone around here.â Itâs not entirely a lie, but he manages to see right through the half-truth regardless.
âSo you avoid everyone, then?â Thereâs no hurt or misunderstanding in his voice, not even confusion. He knows what youâre doing, knows why you canât bear to look him in the eyes for more than a few seconds.
âStill donât know what youâre talking about,â you deflect, closing your eyes and letting your head fall back onto the couch.
He just chuckles, a low sound that makes your stomach clench unconsciously. You expect him to keep pressing you, work you up until you spill your guts, but he doesnât. He doesnât even say a word as you hear the rustling of paper and feel the couch move slightly as he shifts.
You turn your head towards him and open one eye, then both as they go wide. Clint has taken on a whole new level of comfortable, feet perched on the coffee table and one arm resting on the back of the couch while his free hand flips through the same first few pages as before.
In all honesty, you suddenly find yourself happy that Steve and Tony are gone -- otherwise theyâd be scolding Clint for his manners, and most definitely not ogling his firm legs in those tight, black jeans.
You drag your gaze back up his body, stopping near the hem of his shirt, where his new position has allowed for the fabric to ride up his stomach. Itâs just a sliver of skin but the image is enough to make your heart race. Thereâs a faint dip in the muscled hip line leading to his jeans, and if you stare extra hard, you can see the light trail of thin hairs disappearing under the fabric.
Swallowing heavily, you quickly look back at Clintâs face, holding back a gasp as he stares back at you.
âSo,â you fill the silence before he can, mentally thanking Natasha for her training on keeping your composure. âHowâs that book of yours?â
Clint just grins for a second -- you both know heâs caught you. âItâs alright. Not the most interesting thing in the building right now, though.â
You gulp. âYeah⌠The place is big. Lots to explore. I donât think Iâve even seen every room--â
âI have a feeling you know thatâs not what I mean,â Clint cuts you off with a chuckle, and you send him a challenging glare.
âI donât know what you mean,â you scoff.
He hums, before his tongue peeks out to swipe across his bottom lip. âYouâre sounding awfully like a broken record today.â His icy, pale eyes return to his book, and you watch as he lifts his thumb to his wet lips, tongue darting out the lick the tip. You can practically feel the action, and almost whine in disappointment when his hand returns to flip the page.
Clint is downright grinning at this point, and you know heâs taking in every breath, shift, and blink of yours. âBut, I know youâre not actually confused,â he continues. âIn fact, Iâd argue you like this game of ours a bit more than you should.â
You know if you brush it off again, heâll drop it. Heâs too nice to make you uncomfortable, and his statement hangs in the air with a heavy weight.
âYou know, Barton?â you shift from your spot on the couch, eliminating a good chunk of the space between you and him. âI think youâre smarter than most people give you credit for.â He raises a brow, and you would believe his undisturbed look if you didnât see his fingers twitch against the spine of the forgotten book.
âTell Nat that,â he jokes, and you grin. Seeing that little crack in his facade, the way he fills the conversation with a joke, the discreet but heavy swallow he tries to hide -- itâs all enough to power you to move closer, until there are mere centimeters between you two.
âHmmm, I donât think Iâll be telling Natasha anything from this conversation of ours.â Keeping your attention on the slight tense of his jaw, you push the book from his hands, and he immediately drops his feet from the table to discard it in their place.
You pause for a second, glancing at Clintâs lap then back at him, and he doesnât hesitate to reach out and grab your hip.
âGet over here already,â he groans, both arms wrapping around your waist to situate you in his lap. His hands are warm and firm and everything you could have ever imagined, and you automatically roll your hips down onto him. Thereâs a pleased moan from you both, and his own hips jolt in a way that sends you even closer to him, until your chests are touching.
He immediately dives for your neck, scruff tickling the sensitive skin as he breathes you in deeply. âI gotta admit,â he murmurs, letting his lips graze the bottom of your jaw in the most sinful way, âyou look so much better sitting here than standing around in the kitchen.â
You drag your fingers through the long hair on the back of his head, tugging it playfully. âYouâve been watching me, Barton?â
He hums, squeezing you just as teasingly. âI do a lot of staring when it comes to you, babe.â
You pull him from your neck by his hair, and he looks up at you with the most mischievous glint in his eyes. The nickname makes you undeniably flustered, but you force the embarrassment away.
âI donât know about you, but I think thatâs what you call creepy,â you mumble, leaning down so Clint can feel your words against his own lips. He immediately darts forward, but you pull back with a sly grin, watching his eyes darken at the action.
âI think,â he growls, catching you off guard as he pushes you back onto the couch, making you jostle as you try not to fall off the edge. He steadies you with a large hand, and you only jolt again when he uses his free hand to spread your legs, caging you in as his hips drop between your parted thighs. âYouâd be a hypocrite for saying that.â He drops back to your neck, and you can feel his smile before his teeth sink into your skin lightly -- just enough to make you gasp.
He continues to litter your neck with kisses, and you watch in awe as his toned arm tenses by the side of your head -- the thick black lines of ink rolling as his muscles flex.
âAnd what are you gonna do about it?â you taunt, back arching as his tongue darts out to lick a stripe up to right below your chin. âYou gonna fuck me?â
Clint bites the edge of your jaw in retaliation to your words, before he pulls back just enough to stare at you with a lustful gaze.
âNot yet, baby. Not that easily.â One of his hands trails up the front of your thigh, before it busies itself with the hem of your shirt. You try to hide your disappointment, but Clint notices it, of course, and just shakes his head. âDonât worry, I donât plan on letting you leave this couch anytime soon. Youâve made me wait long enough for this⌠Iâm gonna take my time with you.â
He finally presses his lips to yours, and you hungrily reach and tug until heâs as close as possible -- until you can feel the denim of his jeans scraping deliciously against your thighs as you tug his bottom lip between your teeth. Itâs messy and entirely uncalculated, and your nails catch in the wrinkles of the back of his shirt while his own fingers tug impatiently at the bottom of yours.
You part from him for a second, and his own greedy mouth follows yours, only managing to press against the side of your lips. âYou act like youâve made this easy for me,â you retort, and his chest rumbles against yours as he chuckles.
âOh honey, I think Iâve made it quite obvious Iâve wanted to fuck you since the day you walked in here.â
âClearly, not obvious enough.â
Clint huffs, warm breath hitting your cheek. âWhatâd you want me to do? Huh?â He shifts so his words make their way directly to your ear, each syllable accentuated with a puff of hot air. With him this close, neck just below your nose, you can take in the heavy smell of that sharp cologne you love so much.
His calloused fingers dip beneath your shirt, but instead of the obvious trail up, his hand trails down to play with the hem of your shorts. âTug these little things off in front of everyone? Show them all how worked up you get me wearing these? Is that what you want?â
Your hips lift in a silent plea, and you groan. âTheyâre comfortable.â
âMaybe for you, but I find myself very uncomfortable when you wear them.â He snickers, and if you werenât so turned on, youâre sure youâd roll your eyes. Only Clint Barton could make a joke about untimely hard-ons during a time like this.
âThen why donât you take them off?â you groan, and he shakes his head while muttering something about you being bossy.
Still, his words betray him as he tugs the fabric down your legs, as slowly as possible while his eyes drink in the new area of exposed skin. âWhat part about taking my time with you did you not understand?â The corner of his lips tug in that mischievous way of his, and you have a sneaking feeling his patience is as fleeting as your own.
Proving your point, Clint tosses your shorts over the back of the couch with a grin, then pushes you further up the cushions. Youâre almost sitting, shoulder blades knocking the arm of the sofa while your legs bend at the knee to accompany Clint, who scoots back. Itâs the perfect and most disastrous angle to be at as you have to both feel and watch his deft fingers trail up from your knee.
Youâre a hundred percent sure the effects of your arousal are extremely obvious, but he doesnât comment on the wet patch of your panties -- though you see his eyes focus on the area between your legs for a second too long before his gaze flickers back to your thighs.
His calloused fingers trail the edge of fabric around your legs, rough skin providing a type of friction you canât begin to explain. His touch is fleeting and he changes the amount of pressure with every swipe of his thumb, always pushing just enough to let you know heâs holding you down. That you canât escape him -- as if youâd even think of trying to do so.
âYour legs are so sexy, you know that?â
You let out some type of pleased whine, a sound that Clint relishes as he tightens his grip on your thighs. âMake the prettiest sounds, too,â he continues, and then his fingers are right there. One hand holds your left leg down, while the other covers your panty-covered core. His thumb rubs into your desperate, throbbing clit, and you use your little amount of freedom to push your hips up, wanting, needing more.
Clint immediately presses you back down, and you watch his tattoos shift just slightly as he adds more weight to his hand on your thigh.
âPlease, please.â You revert to begging at your lack of movement, losing all shame in regard to your desire. Itâs obvious you need Clint -- any excuses or lies from before long forgotten. You need his movements to speed up, the slow circles of his thumb providing barely enough friction.
He just chuckles, but relents a little and you downright purr as the thin fabric of your underwear drags against your tingling nerve endings. Itâs impossible to move under Clintâs weight, but all the muscles in your lower half flex and twitch as they desperately search for release and relief.
âHow aboutâŚâ Clint trails off, fingers moving upward to grab the waistline of your panties, âwe get these off?â
Youâre sure if you nod any faster you might make yourself dizzy, and Clint just smirks in that knowing way. That way that lets you know he has you right where he wants you. Right where heâs been waiting to have you.
The article of clothing is soon flung behind his shoulder just like your forgotten shorts -- and you can only faintly remind yourself to make sure you grab everything before the others return. Though, at this point, you think anyone could walk in on Clint between your legs and youâd still be begging him to make you cum -- audience or not.
âFucking Christ,â Clint groans, palms sliding between your thighs to spread them, giving him a full view of your glistening core. âI swear, youâre gonna kill me.â Seeing his flushed cheeks, mussed hair, and greedy fingers, youâre not sure you can reject that statement.
He removes his hands for just a second, but you donât dare close your legs, and he has the audacity to wink. Before your mind can even process the action, though, heâs pulling his shirt off, arms crossing over his chest as they show off in their full glory. Hips, stomach, chest, arms -- theyâre all exposed so quickly and your eyes drink in the features as fast as they can. Clint throws the shirt to the side -- you have a feeling heâs utilizing his perfect aim to create a clothing pile -- but you just stare at his shoulder, where the ink spreads to areas youâve never had the chance to see before. The olive green accents contrast against his tanned skin, which has gained a light sheen from the sweat of his arousal.
As he leans back down, Roninâs portrait stares you dead in the eyes -- quite literally. If you didnât know the deeper meaning, youâre sure you could mistake the skull as a danger warning to the man pressing a kiss against the inside of your knee.
Short hairs chafe your legs as Clint makes himself comfortable, pressing his jaw against you. When his hot breath dances over your center you almost squeeze your thighs together, but heâs there to push them apart with a chuckle.
âNo, noâŚâ He pulls away barely, and you take in a deep breath to calm yourself. âYouâre gonna give me what I want, ok?â His fingers are gentle, and so are his eyes when he glances up to you. Heâs hopeful, pleading almost, but stays respectful. âIf thatâs ok, of course.â
You almost want to cry, because how could he think any differently, but you just nod. âPlease Clint, touch me.â
He sends you a lopsided grin, and then heâs right there, pressing a kiss against your clit. The feeling is completely different from before, lips slick and soft unlike his rough thumb. All the air in your lungs leaves your body as you let out a sigh of relief, body finally relaxing as it gets the touch it needs.
You reach down and your nails scratch his scalp lightly before you grip his hair in a tight hold. He nuzzles against your hand and groans against you, and the feeling of control makes your blood run hot through your veins. One of the most powerful men on Earth is between your legs, sucking softly on your clit like it's the only thing he could ever want.
He traces circles on your thighs with his coarse fingers as he warms you up with gentle licks and the occasional curl of his lips around your most sensitive area. You let him have the satisfaction of your spread thighs, but you periodically tug on his tousled locks to remind him that heâs the one between your legs. Itâs the perfect balance of dominance -- the type that makes your head spin and your eyes roll back into your head.
Clint presses another kiss to your clit before traveling lower and the intimacy of the action makes your skin flush. You can tell heâs not going to be holding back for much longer though, if the desperation of his descent is any indication. His fingers join his attack as he spreads your folds, tongue dragging the entirety of your core.
âSo good, baby. So fucking good,â he mutters, mouth impatient as he covers as much skin as he can at once. Itâs fast and downright dirty as he presses his tongue into you, eliciting a groan from your parted, panting lips. Youâre dripping at this point, and he laps up the mix of saliva and arousal with a yearning thirst.
Itâs all so overwhelming. His fingers are digging into your skin -- likely to leave faint marks -- and the scruff framing his jaw scrapes and leaves your skin burning, while the softer locks between your fingers are a comfort to steady you.
The heat building in your body is entirely unbelievable, and your back digs into the couch as you arch into Clint, desperate for all heâll be willing to give you. You press him closer, and he moans at the power in your hands -- the control you have despite him hovering over you. Itâs a mental trip for you both, your stomach and pelvic muscles clenching as they react to his generous, eager giving.
âGod, Clint, gonna cum.â The words barely feel like theyâre coming from your own body, jaw slack as you tremble in his hold. His index finger presses into you slowly, while his thumb replaces his tongue on your clit. The change of stimulation has you reeling, your grip on Clint loosening as you feel his warm words against you.
âKinda the point, sweetheart.â Your eyes are squeezed shut, but you know Clint is smirking -- you can practically hear it in his voice.
His finger curls to press against your front wall, and he rubs it gently once, twice, before he lets the digit drag out, sinking in again even slower. The leisurely thrusts continue as his tongue returns to circle your clit, his cocky words from before silenced as he puts his mouth to work. Your breath grows heavier, heart rate increasing with every second. His middle finger joins the first with a steady push, and you clench desperately as they curl and press and rub and reduce you to nothing but putty.
Youâre right there and Clint knows it -- somehow he knows it. His fingers move faster, harder, and his lips wrap around your clit with even greater determination. Thereâs a shift, fingertips grazing the perfect spot as he sucks desperately and itâs over. Youâre crying out his name, thighs shaking and you clench and flutter around his never-ceasing fingers. Thereâs a moment where all senses leave you and all you can feel is Clint, and the spread of warmth between your legs. Your ears ring and your own moans become faint background sounds.
And then, youâre pulling his head back, his tongue still trying to work your sensitive clit. He fights your tug on his hair but you must be begging because he finally relents with a huff. You can hear his breathing, and you feel his shift as he leans back over you, fingers still working you through your high.
âLook at me,â he demands, and his free hand drags down your cheek. âCâmon, open your eyes.â He forcefully grabs your chin, and your eyes open too quickly for your mind to process. Itâs all so bright and you have to blink away the splotches of color coating your vision. Clint takes up the entirety of your view, lips wet and eyes dark. âThere you go, baby.â Heâs grinning and panting and his fingers are still fucking moving.
You whimper and glance down -- as much as his grip on your jaw will allow -- and the view of his tattooed arm between your thighs, veins pulsing as he fingers you is imprinted in your mind permanently. Itâs a never-ending high that goes on for a second too long before Clint finally, finally eases his fingers from you. Theyâre practically dripping with your release, and he wastes no time bringing them to his glossy mouth.
Itâs hypnotic to watch as his lips close around his fingers, nostrils flaring as he sucks them eagerly. They come out clean, and his chest rumbles with a groan. âCanât get enough of your taste. Fuck.â
It takes a second for you to catch your breath, chest heaving and shirt clinging to sweaty skin. But, thereâs finally a moment where your legs feel somewhat solid, and you take advantage of the opportunity, bending your leg to put the bottom of your foot on Clintâs bare chest.
He shoots you a confused but intrigued look, and you respond with a lopsided grin as you push him backward, until heâs the one stumbling to find a spot against the arm of the couch. Faintly, you consider the move would be much sexier with a pair of heels digging into his skin, but this will have to suffice for now. Maybe next time -- if there is a next time, of course.
âNow, what are you up to, baby girl?â Clint is practically vibrating with excitement as you gather the strength to push yourself off the couch, ignoring the slight twitch of your exerted thighs.
âTake your pants off,â you say, with little shame. âNow.â
Youâre not sure youâve ever seen someone get undressed so quickly and the hastiness of Clintâs actions leave him with very little coordination. It takes him three tries to get his belt undone, and he pokes himself with the metal prong when his eyes return to glance at you.
Raising a brow, you put your hands on your hips, and he speeds up. The button and zipper take him twice as long, but the sound when he finally tosses his belt and jeans off to the side is well worth the wait.
He licks his lips, looking up at you -- waiting, watching. Your earlier thoughts regarding his legs are heightened tenfold as you take in his toned thighs and hard cock in-between. Heâs thick, the bulge pressing against his boxer-briefs making your heart skip a beat. The mere idea of him stretching you open has you growing too impatient for what you have planned.
âKeep going.â You swallow and hope your voice doesnât sound too shaky.
Clintâs quick fingers make work of the fabric, and you focus on finishing yourself off. You pull your shirt off and let it drop to your feet before your hands move to unhook your bra. Youâre barely sliding the straps down your arms when you hear Clint huff, and you look back to him.
âI wanted to do that,â he almost whines, chest puffing.
You roll your eyes but laugh, and toss your bra to him. He catches it with a wink, before throwing it behind him. Immediately, his gaze drags over your chest, excruciatingly slow. You know heâs taking in every inch, every natural mark that decorates your torso. Normally, youâd feel odd being examined so closely while still being at a decent distance -- but Clint is observant and his eyes are hungry.
Finally, his dark eyes reconnect with yours. âYou gonna come sit or should I just grab you?â His tone is playful and daring, but you hear the hint of arousal that suggests he wouldnât be opposed to tugging you into his arms. You donât have time for games anymore, though, so you stand between Clintâs legs, and he pats his thigh playfully.
âHmmâŚâ You bite your lip and shake your head, eyes glistening with mischief. âNot yetâŚâ
You make your descent to your knees perfectly paced, fluttering your lashes as you look up to Clint from between his thighs. He cusses and his arms fall limply to his side as he resigns himself to the torture he knows youâll be sure to deliver.
âI thought you wanted to take your time,â you tease, fingers sliding up his thigh. Your nails against his skin have him tensing, muscles quivering.
He groans, and tosses his head back. âThat was before I made you cum. Just wanna fuck you now -- make you shake again.â
You pinch him. âSweet-talking will get you nowhere, Barton. You should know that.â But, you still let your palm graze over his hard cock, twitching at your touch. Heâs firm and warm, and when your fingers wrap around his length, you realize how deliciously thick he is, filling your grasp fully. The length is there too, just enough to not be intimidating, but the girth has your core throbbing.
âFuck, Clint,â you groan, giving a slow jerk of your wrist. âYouâve been holding out on me.â
Heâs pulsing in your hand, skin flushed and precum beginning to drip from the head of his cock. It coats your hand on the second stroke, easing the drag. Soon enough, heâs practically glistening, and your mouth waters. You have to taste him.
He calls your name, voice trembling, as your tongue darts out to flatten against his tip. âOh God, please.â Heâs flushed, from his cheeks to his tensing thighs, and youâd grin if you werenât taking him deeper into your mouth. Another part of the burning, fervid desire deep in your veins lights up as your lips wrap around him -- tongue greedy for more as it laps everything it can reach. A growl reverberates through his entire body, and the sound makes your thighs clench.
You spare him a glance, and he looks destroyed. Sweat gathers on his forehead and the veins in his arm pulse as he grips the cushions to stay steady. Sane. Calm.
His knuckles are white and you relieve them by grabbing his left hand in your own, thumb rubbing over the back of his palm. Heâs squeezing you like youâre his lifeline, and you reward him with your free hand around his base.
âFuck fuck, Iâll cum too fast with you doing that,â Clint grunts, and you watch his chest heave as he tries to steady his breathing.
You pull off him with a line of spit, breaking it with your hand as you use the saliva to glide your fingers. Heâs still throbbing, and you trace his underside vein with your wet thumb. âI thought that was the point, right?â You repeat his words from earlier with a grin, pressing a kiss against his thigh as your hand speeds up. Heâs so close and he needs it so badly, but he finally pulls his hand from yours to grab your moving wrist.
âNot until I fuck you.â He pants, and begrudgingly removes your hold from his cock. âAnd a couple times, at the very least.â
Your heart races at the mere thought of as many rounds as you can handle, with Clint making you cum again and again. Still, you stand slowly, silently hoping heâll push you back to your knees and cum down your throat.
But he doesnât. He watches closely as you straighten out, and you quickly move to straddle him. âFine, but youâll let me ride you, understood?â Your thighs brush over him with the lightest touch, and with just one solid movement, you could have him sinking into you. But, you wait. You watch as he swallows heavily, eyes hooded.
Clint gives you a lopsided smile. âNo complaints here, babe.â And with that, you reach down to hold his length, pressing the tip against your clenching, wet, core. He gasps, but you shift just slightly, until he bumps your clit. Itâs too much and too little all at once, and you let out a soft cry as he jerks upward, precum coating the swollen nub. You reward yourself with one more drag down from your clit before letting the head of his cock push into you.
Youâre immediately clenching around his length, and Clintâs calloused fingertips dig into your hips as he helps steady you. It only takes a couple breaths and a slow spread of your thighs to take him fully, arousal coating his cock quickly. He barely holds himself back from rutting into you right away, but you rock your hips and grip his shoulders regardless.
âFuck,â he half-groans, half-whimpers. âYouâre so fucking wet.â
Your nails dig into his skin as you roll again, letting out an incoherent babble of his name as your clit gains friction from his own warm body. You can feel your own wetness dripping down your thigh onto his, and it has you shuddering. Itâs so dirty and your fingers move to Clintâs hair, desperately clinging at the long strands. His forehead presses to yours, and he smells like the most dangerous concoction of sweat, cologne, and mint toothpaste youâve ever had the honor of inhaling.
You join in an almost-kiss thatâs all teeth, but he brushes his tongue against your cupidâs bow in a much gentler way, and you know he can feel the shiver that runs down your spine in reaction. He squeezes your hip gently in reassurance, and then his grip on you tightens. It doesnât hurt, but you can feel the years of arm workouts, and you know thereâs no way to escape -- as if youâd ever want to.
Clintâs knee jerks and then heâs thrusting up into you with such force it leaves you breathless. He holds you down and all you can do is gasp and hold him tighter as he pushes into you harder and faster. Every shift provides a new angle and friction as his tip stimulates your sensitive walls.
Your thighs shake desperately and you can hear the wet slap each of his movements provide as you coat his cock in warm slick. He grins at the sight, one hand drifting from your hip until it reaches your throbbing clit.
âLook at you,â he coos and punctuates the words with a rough circle of his thumb.
Your chest heaves as you gasp, but the lack of Clintâs hold gives you a second to grind against him. He grunts as you do, and you chuckle breathlessly against his parted lips.
âAnd look at you.â
He retorts by way of another rub against your clit, and your laughter quickly turns to a drawn-out moan.
âYou look so pretty when youâre about to cum.â He pants between every word, but heâs determined to deliver the compliment that makes your face too warm. Youâre not sure how he knows youâre so close -- it must be way more embarrassingly obvious than you thought -- but you canât find it in yourself to care. Not when heâs letting his cock drag inside you slowly, with a hard thrust every few seconds. Not when the pressure on your clit is changing so rapidly you canât breathe.
When you do cum, with a broken cry and shaking torso, Clint doesnât let up. He goes faster, harder. Itâs a never-ending high that turns your brain to mush, and your body into even less. Your thighs burn and your toes curl but all you can feel is the delicious length buried deep inside you.
Itâs only during the beginning of the cool down that you tug a little harder on Clintâs hair, and roll your hips a little more. âCâmon, Clint, please. Please fill me up.â His chest rumbles against yours with a throaty growl, and you continue to ride out your orgasm as he fucks into you with a few more desperate, shaky thrusts.
He cums in you thick and warm, with a groan of your name. It tumbles from his lips sinfully, and you commit the sound to memory. The rasp of his tone and the sight of his wet, swollen lips.
Itâs not until he eases out of you slowly, and you feel the drip down your thigh that youâre grounded and reminded of exactly where you are. On a multi-thousand dollar couch. Owned by Tony Stark.
âOh my god, Clint.â
His eyes are closed and youâre sure heâs about three seconds from sleeping for eighteen hours, but he manages a tired smirk. âI know. That was good.â
âNo! I mean yes. But thatâs not what Iâm talking about.â
He half-opens one eye. âWhat?â
âI think we stained the couch.â A quick glance between Clintâs thighs all but confirms it, and youâre not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed by the very large wet spot staining the blended fabric.
âI canât believe thatâs what youâre thinking about right now. After everything that just happened.â
You playfully slap his shoulder as you roll onto the cushion next to him with a huff. He nudges you back with his arm before clearing his throat, and letting out a butchered impression of your voice. âOh Clint! Your dick was just so amazing!-â
âOh my god!â You cover your face but nothing stops the laughter that rumbles through your chest -- even if heâs got your tone completely wrong. He just chuckles and wraps his arm around you, pulling you into his side with a sigh.
âHow much do you think weâll owe Tony by the end of the day?â He looks down at you with a playful glint in his eyes.
âWhat do you mean?â
He rolls his eyes, but presses a chaste kiss to your hair. âCâmon, you donât think I havenât planned out every surface we still need to fuck on before they get back?â
âClint!â
âSee, you keep screaming my name but for all the wrong reasons.â Now you can feel his grin against the top of your head, and it comes into view as he stands with you still in his grasp. Youâre not sure how he maneuvers it, but heâs got you in his arms before you can even blink, and the look he sends you tells you not to complain or even question it. Heâs not even out of breath -- all things considered -- and when you glance in the direction heâs heading, your eyes widen.
âYou have got to be jokingâŚâ You squirm in his arms as he sets you down on the table used for almost every meeting, and the mere thought of defiling it forever makes you squeeze your legs together shyly.
But, Clint is quick to spread them, all with a cocky grin and a far too confident tone.
âI donât know about youâŚâ He begins, as his fingers trail up your thigh. âBut I think we could reach ten thousand by midnight.â
If you distantly hear FRIDAY warn adamantly against it -- neither of you mention it.
âBetter get started then, Barton.â

âOkay but Iâm not saying Iâll hate it,â You defend, âBut I definitely wonât fit in.â
Omar laughs from beside you, âDefinitely not, please donât become one of them.â
âDo you think it will be that bad?â You ask as you hand him another one of the glasses to set up for the night at the club.
âIt will be worse, (Y/n),â He grins, âYouâll forget all about me!â
âHow could I ever?â You gasp, handing him the final glass before tossing the kitchen towel over your shoulder, âYouâre already ditching me for this shift so you owe me one. When I need saving at school, you need to be there.â
He grins and steps through the opening of the bar, âOf course, Iâll be your knight in dodgy-shiny armor.â
- - - - - -
Itâs a busy night at the club and you find yourself counting down the minutes until Omar would return for his late shift so you could escape for the night. It felt like you were serving carbon copies of every single person - the same drinks, the same smug looks as they assumed youâd never be able to pay for it.
âWhat can I get you?â You ask the same question as you clean off another of the taps and toss the towel over your shoulder.
When you look up, the eyes looking back arent like the rest. Theyâre piercing and lit up by a light smile as you look back. He looks about your age, dressed in an open shirt and white tee - a simple, understated look. But the curls on his head give him a boyish, friendly characteristic.
You swallow the lump in your throat, âWhat would you like to drink?â
He smirks gently, âIâll take a scotch please... Omar?â
You glance down at your uniform and chuckle, âNot my uniform, but nice try!â
You go about grabbing the bottle and glass to make his drink, trying your best to not notice how his eyes followed you for the entire time. He seemed interesting. Like he had a personality beyond the money his parents bank account held.
âShall I put it on the tab?â You offer, going to tap the screen to put his drink through.
âIâll be back for another soon enough,â He raises the drink to you and turns away, only glancing back once as he takes a second take in your direction.
You try to stop yourself from getting too flustered as you serve the next customer, and the next.
- - - - - -
âAlright (Y/n)!â Omar calls as he comes behind the bar, âYouâre done for the night, go home and feel bad for me.â
âSo itâs (Y/n).â
You go to reply to Omar but stop instantly when you hear the words. The boy from earlier was stood at the bar, evidently expecting a second attempt at learning a little more about you. And Omar handing that attempt to him with ease.
âMaybe you wonât be going straight home,â Omar wiggles his prominent brows, âGive me my name tag and get out of here.â
You laugh and unclip it, untying your apron and handing that to him too, âIâll see you tomorrow, Omar.â
The boy walks the length of the bar until he pushes through enough to meet you where youâd be exiting for the end of your shift.
âWhat do you say to having my second drink with me?â He suggests, leaning close to ask you the question.
You glance at him once more and smile a little, âI say Iâll have whatever youâre having, Iâll be back down in five.â
Hurriedly, you push through the staff door and grab your things to at least make yourself a little more presentable. You comb your hair through and try to perfect your appearance just slightly - though there was only so much it could improve by whilst you were still wearing this uniform.
When you get back downstairs, the boy is leaning against a nearby wall with two glasses of scotch in his hands. He pushes off and grins a little when he sees you.
âI thought you might have found a back exit and left me alone,â He comments, handing over one glass to you.
âI tried, it was locked,â You joke, having to yell over the music blaring through the room.
He gestures over for the two of you to go to one of the emptier corners of the club and settles a hand on your back with such ease as he leads to over.
âYou seemed so set on knowing my name, you never told me yours,â You point out, taking a sip of the drink and wincing at the taste.
âAnder MuĂąoz,â He responds, dipping his head to speak to you.
MuĂąoz. That name sounded oddly familiar.
âYou enjoy working here?â
âServing a bunch of snooty rich people that just complain about us not having the right champagne or not making their drinks fast enough? Itâs a dream!â
He laughs and it makes his eyes crinkle and dimples appear on his cheeks, âIs it really that bad?â
âThey pay me so I canât complain,â You shrug, âAnd I have Omar.â
âSo am I one of them?â He raises his brows, âThe snooty rich people?â
You laugh a little and shake your head, âYou tell me Ander MuĂąoz.â
Before he can say anything more, somebody knocks into the back of him and causes him to stumble into you, tipping his drink onto both of you a little.
âDo you want to get out of here?â He suggests, setting down the empty glass onto a table.
âYeah, definitely,â You nod, swigging back the rest of the drink with a hiss and setting your glass next to his.
- - - - - -
Itâs another three quarters of an hour later when you find yourself still strolling around the empty streets with him. Youâd talked about anything and nothing and were yet to get to a point where the conversation ceased.
âOkay, where in this town do you go to then?â He asks you, having grown jokingly tired of you mocking his ârich boyâ lifestyle.
You laugh a little, âYou want to see how the other half live?â
âPlease, do tell, (Y/n),â He smirks, looking at you expectantly.
You reach out a hand for him to lace with his own and tug him out of the path youâd been following, âDown this way.â
Your hands stay locked the whole way as you eventually reach the docks and you lead him up the steps to the top of the bridge.
âIsnât this just where people do drug deals?â He laughs, stumbling behind to catch up with you and hold your hand a little firmer.
âWell, yeah,â You admit, âBut at night, you get the best view of the stars.â
You let go of his hand and push yourself up onto the edge, shifting your weight until you sit on the edge with your legs dangling over.
âWoah, woah, careful!â He holds out his hands like heâd have any hope of catching you.
âDonât worry,â You laugh, turning and laying down on the hard surface so you could look up to the sky above.
âIsnât there a much safer way of seeing the fucking stars?â He mutters to himself as he mirrors your actions opposite you.
âNobody ever did anything good by being safe,â You roll your eyes, glancing up to watch as he cautiously lowers himself to lay against the rock.
You two stay in silence for a while as you watch the stars stationary in their movement, until one comes shooting across as if by fate.
âI think thatâs a good sign,â He comments quietly, voice a little raspy from the lack of conversation.
âSo, Mr MuĂąoz, was this up to scratch for showing you what I do for fun around here?â You raise yourself to sit on the stone and swing your legs back over.
He hops down and dusts off his jeans, âId say you need to find yourself some friends and get yourself to some parties.â
You laugh and canât help your heart from bubbling as his hand finds yours again.
âI should probably get home, I have a big day tomorrow,â You comment, walking slowly back down the steps from the bridge with him.
âWhatâs happening tomorrow?â
âLetâs not talk about that,â You shake your head with a half-laugh.
âThen I should get you home as soon as possible,â With that, he dips down in front of you and hoists you onto his back until he has a firm grip on your thighs, âYour carriage has arrived.â
He somehow manages to carry you the whole way home, complaining whenever you made him laugh as you found yourself in hysterics - blaming it solely on the fatigue and that scotch in your empty stomach.
âWell, Iâve had a very good night, Ander,â You smile as he sets you back down, âYouâve slightly restored my faith in the other half of society.â
âSlightly?â He cocks a brow.
âThereâs always room for improvement,â You smirk, leaning in to kiss his cheek, âGoodnight Ander.â
He stops you there until youâre close enough that your nose knocks against his. And he musters every piece of courage he had left in him to kiss you for the first time - soft and very much aware that you could easily pull away. When you donât, his courage dials way back up and he cups your face in his hands with ease, like they were always meant to be there. Itâs longing and you regret not starting this earlier in the evening.
âGoodnight, Ander,â You repeat as you pull away, slightly more breathless now.
âCan I get your number at least?â He asks as you go to walk towards your apartment block.
âSomething tells me Iâll see you very soon anyway,â You confirm, heading inside before any other part of you could convince you otherwise.
- - - - - -
Youâre shown around school by one of the admin staff who explains to you what to expect from your new student role at Las Encinas. Youâd already noticed a few people that youâd served at the bar multiple times and tried to avoid too many peoples prying eyes on the new kid as you reach your new class.
âClass, we have a new student joining us today,â The teacher stands up as you go to walk in, âIâm sure youâll all be very welcoming to (Y/n).â
Thereâs only one student that youâre focused on as the name is spoken. Sat in the back on the far side of the class is none other than Ander. Thatâs where youâd known the name from - his Mum was the fucking principal! He glances in your direction and quickly turns away, unable to stop the smile from crawling onto his face as he shifts a little in his chair.
âThereâs a seat beside Ander if thatâs okay,â The teacher mentions, gesturing over to the boy you were meant to not know yet.
You nod and take the adjacent seat to him, setting your book onto the table.
âSo, last night was fun,â He smirks, handing you a pen, âMaybe now would be a good time for me to get that number.â
You roll your eyes, âWhen I said soon, I didnât think Iâd be seeing you the next morning.â
Nevertheless, you scribble down your number onto some paper and hand it back to him.
âDefinitely seems like weâll be seeing more of each other now, (y/n).â
And it suddenly becomes impossible to complain about his slightly cocky demeanour.
âI guess we will, Mr MuĂąoz.â

Gratitude: I Do Now - Orson Krennic x Reader (Rogue One)
Authors Note: ...Yeah, that GIF will do! Okay, so this one went through the works for reasons that donât even matter anymore, and I wrote it anyway. Due to the nature of the original anon request our reader here is definitely gender neutral. This Is The First Thing - You Me At Six  / I Do Now - Brad Paisley Disclaimer: I own nothing but did write all the words. Premise: Relationship problems werenât unusual, but this scenario is completely new to him. Trying to think on the good vs the bad, Krennic realises heâs got a lot to be grateful for... Words: 1811 Warnings: drinking Â
_______ This is the first thing I thought This is the last thing that I want You were the first one I loved You were the first love I lost
You left it too late To change the way I think I'll never say never again Those words will never ever pass my lips --- I never knew how people wound up in a bar In the middle of the day Broken souls or broken lives From the choices that they made I didn't know how much I had to lose When I threw it all away But I do now, I do now Oh, I'd give anything If I could just go back in time somehow I wouldn't break your heart, I wouldn't break those vows ---
noun
the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Iâve never understood how people end up in a bar in the middle of the day...
Krennic watched the ring spin again; an endless loop of gold metal - the way even though he knew its size and shape it seemed to twist and break. Fitting for the situation, he thought and sighed. It slowed, the loops changing from entwining into one, to the single gold frame that declined to balance on its edge and fell with a clear sound - refusing to give up for a few seconds more before lying still.
He took another sip of alcohol; the kick sending a shiver to his system that he liked as he picked the ring up between his fingers again, and with a delicate spin started the whole process again.
I do now...
 *
You. Not that he would ever do this to forget you. On the contrary the more he drunk the more you filled his head. A book full of life lessons - some of them hard - could be written on what had gone on between the two of you. You were everything heâd ever wanted. Both submissive to everything he said, and controlling when you wanted to be. You broke his heart as much as you made him love you - as much as you fuelled an obsession he couldnât fight and didnât ever want to stop. And he hurt you too, because he could. Because he got jealous, possessive⌠because sometimes he had a quest for revenge and took it too far. One endless circle, like this ring.
So why was he here? In a little bar on some planet he didnât much care for, let alone remember the name of. And why was Krennic trying to think of things to be thankful for? Because he simply had a lot to be grateful for when it came to you. Because as much as you fought, and drove each other crazy, you loved each other. At least, he hoped you did. And when Krennic was like this he couldnât stop thinking about you. He leant his head in his palm and spun the ring again; the sound of it scratching across the surface of the bar as it twirled in place likely driving the other patrons crazy, but he didnât care. One more sip and the drink was done; but he didnât pass his glass to the bartender, merely held it out as the liquid was replenished.Â
Gratitude.
Hard to show. Even harder to feel? Even cursing your name Krennic didnât feel like it was hard to feel. Because he felt he always went about showing it wrong. Every time youâd picked him back up after a hard day, or being shouted down, every time youâd stayed and listened to his ranting, every time youâd loved on him to make him feel better... or feel something... youâd taught him so much that he couldnât even think right now about how innumerable this list actually was. The way you would kiss him exactly when and where he needed it without him even having to ask. And the way you never made him say thank you; because you knew he was...
Krennic never thought heâd be grateful for fighting with anyone before you either. Long, passionate arguments - that never got physical, but with the sharp, brutally painful blows you often dealt each other, it sure would feel like it. But he learned how to wait it out, how to say just the right snarky thing at just the right time. How he wouldnât even need words, just exactly the right look and he could finish and argument and win it. And Stars, how he needed that at work.
You also had a habit of sharing information with him. Information that was so vitally important in your remit of work. Both of you were in intelligence, and in that crisp white uniform. Of course, that on occasion led to you both turning up to work in jackets a few sizes different to usual. But that didnât often matter, because you got to be surrounded by each other all day.
The secrets that otherwise passed between the two of you were each otherâs to keep. And as far as he knew you both did. And with some of the things that had passed between you, he was surprised. Staring at that ring hard as this time it refused to fall; as it stilled it remained upright - and he spun it again, recklessly, to make sure it fell. With what you knew you could tear him down brick by brick. And he knew heâd never get up again from that. Dead and buried - if not even literally.
Krennic mused this for a long while; how his gratitude was boundless... but his words were not. How he would think saying something like that would show weakness. That would be exactly why he was where he was now. By design caring gave you a bonded strength. In numbers, even if his first thought would be he was better off alone. Perhaps not on the battle field; but secretly he would always hope to not see you there. Protecting you could come at too great a cost...
As soon as he felt a presence in front of him, he placed his hand over the ring and slid it from the counter. You didnât see that the action attempted to say - even if heâd been doing the same thing over and over for hours... He bit his lip gently, followed by a small tongue roll and his sorrowful blue eyes raised from the dark wood to your face. Your arms folded, even though you wore a frown your expression was intrigued. You nodded to the counter âSomeone special?â âThat would be of very little consequence to you...â âBetter than me?â He almost smiled; âTheyâre alright, yeah.â
It was good enough for you, for now. âSeems like an awfully lonely place to find yourself, Director...â you looked around, a couple of people who looked like they belonged here sat at a table at the back. A few other patrons scattered made him 1 of 5; and the only one sitting at the bar. He rose from his seat, finishing the last of his glass; âPerhaps. That doesnât make me any less deserving of it.â âI think you do yourself a disservice...â âAs do I.â But those blue eyes were still staring at you, so he wasnât talking about himself. He paid his tab without even attempting to find the bar tender again and walked slowly along the length of the bar. You fell instep - but that physical barrier between you felt like the one you were really both putting up. You supposed you both had your reasons. If the rules of the Empire werenât reasons enough...
You slipped under the end of the bar as you both made for the exit, both in silence and with the lack of a physical barrier you still maintained the gap between you. There were things you wanted to say to him. That you thought would slip away forever if you didnât tell him now. But you couldnât; so maybe they would have to. He was like having a mentor - and in a game you were both playing he was the only person you could trust. Â You had much to thank him for; as much as enough political backstabbing to actually want to run a dagger through him yourself. But you forgave him for that; because you got to watch him shine... and Orson Krennic was at his best when he was shining. (Without noting that you also got to pull all the strings here too...)
Outside the sun was shining and you both had to shield your eyes against it from the dingy little bar youâd both just spent time in. You noticed the ring hadnât quite made its way back to his finger yet. âI would advise against the Empire finding you day drinking... Director.â He huffed; âAm I supposed to be grateful you did?â You gave a shrug, he was still just as mad at you as he was himself. âBetter me than Tarkin...â Orson scoffed and turned back around âI donât have enough in my system for this.â âI just donât want to see you in trouble.â He paused at the honesty and his eyes flicked to yours - with heartfelt clarity. He could be, and bring out, the best of times and worst of times. But it was a balance. And it worked out for the both of you; somehow. You cared. You did it because you cared. And that was as much his reasoning too... he just hoped you knew that.
Krennic looked back to the door and swallowed hard; you werenât going to move; he knew you were waiting for him to make his decision. And he couldnât let you watch him do this to himself. He sighed, defeated and took a step back. But it was only a step, and his head bowed and his eyes cast back to the floor. So now you would wait for him to move. Still downcast his eyes traced back to you; and somewhere he found the courage to actually say it. âThank you.â Your eyes widened a little in shock; what for? Dragging him out of a bar? Â â... for your love...â Oh. Surprising. â...it is... the best and worst thing that ever happened to me...â
His hand delved back into his pocket and the gold band glinted in the sunshine; âyou give me so much to be grateful for... I canât ever say it enough...â Orson slipped it back onto his left hand and rolled it thoughtfully between his fingers for a minute; âto the point where I think I just canât say it...â he turned his body to you, and inclined his head; âSo this might be that one time that I must.â His eyes met yours âI thank you...â but even yet, he turned away âbut it may be a while before I am ready to returnâ his eyeline flicked over his shoulder; âenjoy your day, Y/N.â
And so you had to watch him walk away, with a smile and a shake of your head. You respected his feeling towards this enough not to follow. Thank you - it resounded in your head a couple of times. He said he didnât say it enough. But he didnât have to, because you knew. Of course you knew. It was always in his actions, always, even if he couldnât see that. You turned to head in the opposite direction, with a quiet laugh to yourself. And in the same way he just had, you ran your thumb gently over the gold band that matched his;
No Orson, thank you. --- SIX Virtues down. SIX. Guys and Gals! Weâre almost there!

gif tutorial
alright so i was asked for a tutorial on how i make my gifs, so here it is!! this one will focus mostly on how i make my live game gifs for baseball or hockey. as far as what i use, i use either obs studio or the xbox screenrecord function on my laptop for recording game clips. then i use photoshop, currently ps cc 2017, to actually make my gifs.
how i made this gif from this gifset. this will be split into parts to make it easier if you only want to know about certain elements of the process!
screen recording:
iâm going to focus on obs studio, as itâs what i use more often, and as far as i know, anyone can download it, but i have no idea whatâs up with the xbox software i use, lmao.
this is what it looks like when i open it. currently, i use the display capture setting as my source, and i will show you how to add that, along with some other settings i use and shortcuts.
alright so at the bottom of the window, thereâs the source panel, it looks like this:
i already have a source added, the display capture. this means that it will record whatever iâm displaying on my screen currently, which is how i like it, as it makes it easy to know what iâm recording. iâve never messed around with it much, to see what the other options do, because iâm lazy and this does what i need.
to add the source, click on the little plus icon at the bottom of the sources panel. a menu will pop up, and you can select any capture option, and as you can see above, i use display capture.
moving to the right, thereâs the audio panel:
my personal preference is to keep the desktop audio on, and turn the mic/aux audio off. this way if i need the clip later, especially if itâs a video of something especially cute or whatever, iâll have it and be able to use it. if you have the mic/aux on, it will record whatever sounds youâre making on top of the desktop audio, leading to weird noises mixed in with the video audio.
and finally, moving to the right again, thereâs the controls panel:
this is pretty self explanatory, here is where you can start/stop a recording, access the settings, or exit the program. i donât use these start/stop buttons, but thatâs because of a shortcut i will show in a second.
this is pretty much everything i deal with on the main page. thereâs a ton of other options/information/things, but i havenât messed around with them too much, so iâm not sure what a lot of them do.
next iâll show the setting i change/use. this is what the setting page looks like when you open it using the button on the control panel:
now i ignore most of the tabs on the left, because iâm only using obs for screenrecording, and not for livestreaming. i do change things under âoutputâ and âhotkeysâ.
output:
here iâve changed the recording path to go to a specific folder rather than the general one it will send it to. during the hockey season, when iâm possibly making gifs for 3 games at a time i change that folder to one for whatever the date is. during baseball season, iâm less likely to be doing as much so i put it in a general folder that i sort out later.
i donât remember what the automatic settings are for recording format, but i believe i had to change it to mp4, which is what i need/use for my method of making gifs.
hotkeys:
this is just a little short cut, but i added these hotkeys so i can start and stop recordings without needing to flip to the software, as long as itâs going in the background. i chose this key because itâs one i donât need in my everyday life, thus minimizing the risk that iâll ever accidentally record anything i donât need, which isnât a big deal, but can be annoying.
advanced:
this isnât really a setting change, but this is how i have my filenames formatted, at least until i manually change this if i want to, but i believe its the default and itâs honestly really helpful to keep the videos straight when youâre a disorganized mess like me.
i think thatâs everything for the screenrecording part of the process. if you have any questions, just ask!
photoshop:
alright so i use the import frames to layers method to make gifs, itâs just how i learned initially, so iâm pretty stuck in my ways.
opening ps:
this is what my screen looks like when i open photoshop. i have mine set to the lighter setting bc i like how it looks brighter, but its just a personal preference.
importing clips:
select import and then video frames to layers. it will open your files.
selecting video:
alright, so you can see the mess of videos i have, unsorted right now, lmao. anyway navigate to and select the video you want, and hit open.
selecting frames:
this window will pop up after it loads, and here is where you select the frames you want to include in the gif. in order to do so, you slide the two sliders to frame either side of the clip. as far as the limit to every ___ frames, i try to not use it, or i use every 2 frames, just depending on the clip.
now i have the clip i want, so i hit ok, and let ps do its thing.
process:
alright so after the frames are loaded, thereâs multiple things i do to prepare my gifs. i have to crop them, remove extra frames (delete with the little trash can at the bottom left), change the time delay, and then do the actual editing of the gif. also, i use the motion preset layout, which can be found on the drop down menu in the top right corner.
cropping:
these are the dimensions i use for most of my gifs. i range between 250-300 depending on the video, but 540 is almost always there, due to tumblrâs dimensions for photos/gifs. 268 x 268 is what i use for square gifs.
the cropping button is found on the left side menu, and it looks like that little symbol on the far left of the picture above.
once i have the area i want selected, i doubleclick and it crops the frames.
time delay:
to change the time delay, click the little symbol you can kind of see in the photo above, with the four or so lines. itâs above the frames along the bottom of the screen, at the right. when the menu pops up, click select all frames, so you can change the timing for all the frames. once all the frames are selected, click one of the little carrots next to the numbers at the bottom of the frames, as seen in the picture below.
now you choose the time delay you want. when im not skipping any frames, i  run between 0.05 to 0.06. if i am skipping, itâs between 0.08 to 0.1. just kind of play with it, til you find what works for you.
editing:
i always sharpen my gifs, itâs the best way to make your gifs look as nice as possible. to do so i use a sharpening action, found here. there is also a tutorial here for loading and using the action, which is much better than anything i could say, so use that!! i literally ALWAYS use this action/method, i love it so much. also, that blog is a goldmine for gif/edit help.
coloring:
alright, honestly im not going to be any help here, im so bad at coloring. at this point i have the same kind of things i do depending on where the game im makes gifs for is, since 81 and 41 games(ish) are in the same place for my teams during their seasons and then i just kind of make it up as i go. for actual help, i recommend the blog w the tutorial from above, just looking around there, or messing around in photoshop itself.
exporting:
follow these steps to save for tumblr. once the window opens and is ready, change the width to 540 for the best results for tumblr.
make sure the gif is under 3mb, otherwise tumblr wonât play it and it will look like a photo. then just post! and be happy!! send any questions my way, always happy to help :-)
#here it is!#its so long dksfjsdkljf#hope it helps!#im always here to answer questions too!!#danhalen#tutorials#a

gif tutorial !! (feat. anamo)
for everyone asking how i get my gifs so crispy
note: this tutorial is made using photoshop cs5! and while it should still work for newer versions, not everything may be the same. sorry :(
programs
photoshop cs5Â (this is the only version iâve really ever used so sorry cs6 and cc users)
topaz clean & denoise (optional)
kmplayer
media downloaders
4k video downloader
twitch leecher (for clips longer than what twitch allows)Â
how to download twitch clips (I use the âslowâ method) twitch update made this useless ! so now i just use this site to download clips :)
1. extracting your frames when you canât do video frames to layers
I think you need QuickTime (i donât, which is why i canât use this method) for this, but if your version of photoshop allows you to do File > Import > Video Frames to Layers, hereâs another tutorial to help with that!Â
Remember that the best, clearest gifs come from the highest quality sources! However, I donât normally recommend downloading actual 4k videos because while your gifs may be super HD, the frame rate is almost always really weird and slow.
After downloading your video/clip using one those nifty programs listed above, we need to extract your frames! Personally, Iâve only ever used KMPlayer to do this, but Iâm sure that other equivalents will work pretty much the same.
Anyways, after opening your video in KMPlayer, pause right before the scene you want to gif and right click. There should be a tall menu that pops up, and from there you click Capture > Frame: Extract. This brings up yet another menu, and here are the best settings (at least I think so) for extracting your frames!Â
Now, you need to click start and let your video play. Once youâve captured all the frames that you want, they should all be in your Capture folder that KMPlayer made for you (mine is located under This PC > Windows (C:) > KMPlayer > Capture). Just organize the frames as you want  - I usually separate the frames for each gif into separate folders, but do whatever you want.
To actually get these frames into PS, start up the program and go to File > Scripts > Load Multiple DICOM Files and locate your Capture folder. Look, we have frames now. Cool.
2. actually making gifs
Make sure that your Animation window is open (itâs under Windows on PS if itâs not) so you can see what is likely only one frame, which is probably way less than the amount of frames that you captured (this will be different if you used Video Frames to Layers). To fix this, click on the symbol (a little upside-down triangle next to four lines) on the far right of the animation window and choose Make Frames From Layers.
Since we now have a lot more frames in our timeline, you can click the play button and watch them scroll through. Decide how you want to crop your gif and then resize the cropped frames to fit Tumblr (sizes here). Once youâve done this, click on the upside-down triangle again and select Convert to Timeline, then select all the frames in the Layers tab thatâs probably on the right of your screen and right click > Convert to Smart Filters. This will make sharpening easier because you can sharpen every layer all at once like this.
3, sharpening
At the top of your PS window, there should be a Filter tab. From there, click Sharpen > Smart Sharpen. Using my fairly limited experience with PS versions other than CS5, I do know that not every version of PS sharpens the same, so if youâre using something other than CS5, settings may vary somewhat. But anyways, hereâs what my Smart Sharpen settings look like:
I then have my own personal sharpening action that I apply to the gif to somewhat smooth out the sharpness, but this tutorial has something towards the end thatâll give you a similar effect. And donât forget to play your gif again to make sure that it works before you start coloring!
4. coloring
As a lot of players are POC, please be conscious of how you color the gif! Obviously, Obivously, itâs one thing to lighten up a dark scene because itâs hard to see whatâs going on. However, when you purposefully and consciously make the decision to lighten (or darken) solely a playerâs skin color, thatâs gross! Stop!
This being said, there are 5.6 million gif coloring tutorials out there and 5.6 million ways to color a gif. Personally, I tend towards more ââânaturalâââ and true-to-life colorings for my OWL gifs, but Iâve made vibrant and pastel and colorful gifs as well. Hereâs what the base PSD for all my OWWC gifs looks like, and this is pretty representative of all my other OWL PSDs as well.
But as I said, there are so many different ways to color gifs - some of my gifs only have a total of three adjustment layers - and everyone has their own preferences for how they like their gifs to look. However, I will say that my first step in coloring is a gif is always use Levels and click the Auto option for a little color correction.
When youâre all done coloring your gif, select everything in your Layers tab (PSD + actual gif), then right click > Convert to Smart Filters again so that you only have one (1) layer in the tab.
5. using topaz to be extra (this is optional)
Is using Topaz necessary to make gifs? No, absolutely not. It also makes the giffing process take longer. Itâs literally just to be extra yet I still use it on every single one of my gifs. Why? Because it makes them s m o o t h and I hate seeing pixels. Even if most OWL stages are pretty noiseless and nice overall.
To use Topaz, click on your single Smart Object gif layer and  go to Filter > Topaz Labs.
While I do have both Topaz Clean and DeNoise, I typically prefer DeNoise over Clean, and thatâs mostly because itâs a bit more difficult to mess it up. Topaz DeNoise does exactly what it sounds like it does - it removes noise from images. However, it also smoothes skin and hair and everything else, which is why you still need to be careful using it unless youâre going for an unrealistic, completely airbrushed look. Topaz Clean does the same, but with more emphasis on the smoothing (I guess), so itâs easier to accidentally go overboard with it.
I almost never use the two in conjunction, but a good thing about Topaz is that it also reduces your gif file size by reducing noise! Which is nice! Also here are some nice Topaz settings. I use these (for the most part)!
update as of jan. 6, 2019: I am a Big Liar and I use both Clean and Denoise together all the time now and have been doing so since pretty much immediately after writing this tutorial. Just be careful when using both otherwise your gif might start looking too smooth - as with anything else, Topaz should be used in moderation :)
6. saving your gif
This part is actually super important if you used Topaz on your gifs. After youâve made everything into a Smart Object, click on the upside-down triangle on your Animation window and select Flatten Frames Into Layers. If you used Topaz and donât do this before trying to save your gif for posting, you will crash PS.
This process might take a while for Topaz users, but at the end, once your Smart Object has been made into many layers, go back to the upside-down triangle, click Convert to Frame Animation, and then select Make Frames from Layers from that same menu.
Now all your frames are visible on the timeline! Delete the very first one (otherwise the same frame will be repeated twice), select all of the frames on your timeline, then click on the little â0 secâ thing beneath the frames to set the gif timing. For this, I generally recommend using 0.03 or 0.04 seconds, but this depends on personal preference as well as the frame rate of the original video.
Itâs time to finally save our gif. You just go to File > Save for Web & Devices and a big window will pop up. Honestly, the only save setting that really matters is that you have your gif set to loop for forever. Some people prefer using Diffusion over Pattern when saving, but this is what mine looks like right now:
If you go to save your gif and find that itâs above Tumblrâs 3MB gif limit, you are probably just going to want to delete frames if you donât want to lose the overall gif quality. Otherwise, you can click on that Colors: 256 box and try to cut down the number of different colors in your gif - though I will warn you that this generally makes gifs look more pixelated. And once your good and settled, click save and your gif is ready to post!

indie bundle cruft death match volume two: the revenge of the revenge
this is how it works: I install a bunch of bundle games on my computer, and then I play them until I decide whether they stay or whether they go. Hopefully you get some entertainment out of the process.
Letâs get started.
BRIDGE IT (Plus): This is a game where you make bridges. It follows the same mechanics as the last bridge building game I tested. Like... basically, just a different art style, otherwise apparently the same game. I couldnât even finish the tutorial because every time I clicked the âsimulateâ button that you need to click to continue the game, the program switched to my desktop as if I had clicked my clock instead. No thanks. GOODBYE.
BRIDGE PROJECT: Virtually the same game, based on the tutorial, as this and the other bridge game. Same fundamental âmake a bridge by snapping things on a grid and then running cars across itâ gameplay. Not funny like those gifs I see of other, funnier bridge building games. Weird how this is the only game made by this dev, and the other game was the only game made by that dev. My working theory is that there is a small industry of devs who make a bridge game, die, and then try to remake the bridge game, thinking theyâll get it right this time.
They never do, because itâs a game about building bridges.
I didnât take a screenshot of this one because it looked just like the other one. PASS.
AGENT AWESOME: This gameâs sense of humor is âletâs be as referential as humanly possible.â Like, maybe it gets really good later, but the poor initial showing combined with a weird âsort of real time, sort of turn-based, thereâs not a lot to itâ gameplay isnât really interesting to me. Itâs got a 70% positive rating on Steam, though. If itâs your thing, itâs your thing. Itâs not mine. ADIOS.
A FISTFUL OF GUN: Iâm a sucker for Westerns, and Iâm intrigued by twin-stick shooters, though I donât like many of them. Turns out I like A Fistful of Gun. A lot. Super cool aesthetic, neat weapons. Biggest issue I had was that I didnât really understand the controls; the game kinda explains them, but its super minimal UI doesnât do a great job making things clear.
My Big Game Design Belief is that a gameâs controls should be invisible. The barrier between thought and action should be as minimal as possible. I like this game, but I definitely wish I understood how things worked early on. There are a ton of little tweaks that, I think, would have made this game a lot better.
But you know what? I had so much fun I played it for like 30 minutes, and Iâm gonna keep playing more. IT LIVES.
A GAME OF DWARVES: Alphabetically, this game was sorted under G, but it was installed in the folder, and I saw it, staring at me, brightly, against a sea of uninstalled titles. I couldnât resist installing it. Then I ran the game, and I was told âfatal error! this application must exit immediately.â I couldnât use a mouse to click âokay.â I had to jam âenter.â
I looked on the Steam community discussions for answers, and found this thread, which indicates that the developers went out of business and would not continue supporting the game.
I did eventually get the game to work. What I played was pretty interesting, as management sims go, but I mean... look at that screenshot. The colors donât blend well, the repeated tiles are a bit too much, the dwarf faces look... not great. That and the fiddly controls made me question if I really wanted to play it. I almost said yes. We PARTED WAYS.
RELIC HUNTERS ZERO: Itâs a fun little twin-stick. Free. Not sure why, they probably couldâve made money on this. Thereâs nothing making me go âwow, this is special,â but it does seem, from what I played, like an exemplary example of the form. BACKLOG.
TUMBLESTONE: Okay, Iâm breaking from the norm. I jumped on my Xbox while I was cleaning the apartment in preparation for a move, and I played a couple games there to see if Iâd keep them around, or download something else. Tumblestone is a puzzle game. You have to âshootâ three cubes from the bottom of the puzzle space, but you can only eliminate the cubes if they are of the same color. It was fun, but I didnât see myself sticking with it. I forgot to take a screenshot. BEGONE.
KILLER INSTINCT KOLLECTION: This Xbox title is a fighting game. I still donât find myself enjoying fighting games. I MOVED ON.
NO TIME TO EXPLAIN: Another Xbox game, this is a platformer that did not feel particularly great to play, but thatâs true of all platformers and me. Iâm just not that into the genre. ITâS NOT YOU. ITâS ME.
SUPER MEGA BASEBALL: EXTRA INNINGSÂ is an Xbox game about baseball, but it kept throwing menus like this at me, and I donât swing that way. Get it? A baseball pun. I didnât play very long because I just wasnât having a lot of fun, and I get the impression this is best played with friends. None of my friends like baseball. Weâre strictly curler fans where I come from. STEE-RIKE.
Right. Back to the PC.
AI: RAMPAGEÂ might be a good game, but Iâm a very picky person when it comes to controls. This is a top-down game where forward movement is wherever your cursor is aiming. Also, the main menu is literally just every option available--settings, levels, you name it. One single massive screen. I tried to take a screenshot, but it came out black. NOT MY THING.
AIRSTRIKE HD appears to be a phone game (imagine how big that pause button in the lower right of the screenshot is on a 27âł monitor) made in unity where you fly back and forth dropping bombs on a civilian populace. You might drop them on more deserving folks than civilians later in the game, but I was so busy not having fun that I didnât stick around to try out. There arenât enough steam reviews to give the game a proper score, but most of them are negative. CRASH AND BURN.Â
ARMORED FIST 3 is presumably a sequel to Armored Fist 2 and its maximum resolution is 640x480. I picked this one up because it was cheaper to buy the Novalogic complete bundle on sale with the money Iâd earned from selling trading cards than it was to buy all the Delta Force games that I wanted. The controls are strange; Iâm suspicious of games that tell you to use the arrow keys, but when it asked me to switch to F9 to change my camera, then didnât tell me how to switch back, I knew we wouldnât be getting along. Why this tank simulator from 1999 doesnât use more modern controls or resolutions, Iâm not sure. The reviews are âmostly positiveâ right now on Steam, but I donât think I can enjoy this. TANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.
AVENCAST, according to Wikipedia, was made by a developer that âhad little or no formal education in game development field.â It took them four years to make, and they initially set out to create a Diablo clone. This game does not really control like Diablo at all. It also spends a great deal of time in menus like the above. Too many words, not enough âgo do stuff.â
Itâs not a bad game, though. Like, thereâs nothing here that makes me go âugh, wow, this is terrible.â It just doesnât pique my curiosity. It doesnât make me want more. The controls arenât terrible, but they arenât great either. The premise isnât that interesting--it literally starts out by telling you that this is the story of the greatest mage ever, or something like that, effectively killing the stakes--it just kind of feels old and uninteresting to me.
This is coming from someone who likes the Gothic games. What Iâm saying is, your mileage may vary, and I almost kept Avencast around, until I decided that, quite frankly, I probably wonât be spending much time with it. Besides, mages are so much less interesting than rogues.
AX:ELâs menus make no sense. No, really, look at this. What does it mean? What does any of it mean? There is a ship, but what kind of game is it? I have no idea. The tooltips arenât that helpful. One button says something like âpatrol,â and if you hover over it, the tooltip says âpatrol mode.â
Anyways, turns out thereâs a campaign in here, if you dig long enough. Briefly, I suspected this was some kind of multiplayer only game. It is not. There is a campaign. It involves dogfighting. Turns out this is basically an Ace Combat style game, which is neat, but it is easy, thereâs no tutorial, and the assets look like something I could make, and Iâm not an artist at all.
AX:EL wasnât unfun from what I played, but it puts up so many barriers to the gameplay that it can be needlessly frustrating. SEE YOU, SPACE COWBOY.
BLOODSPORTS.TV sounded cool until it asked me if I had ever played in the âtop down hero gameâ category or somethin like that. I tentatively clicked yes. ITâS A MOBA.
BLOOP RELOADED is just Bloop with nicer graphics. And writing like the above. You drag lines between things and make liquids go down those lines into the things. The end. Quoth the raven, NEVERMORE.
CALIFORNIUM: Imagine PKDâs walking simulator. Mysterious enough to keep me going. Has people to interact with, to a small degree. Would I like a game that actually has mechanical depth and complexity? Sure. But... Iâm gonna finish Californium. THIS IS GOOD STUFF.
CHRONICLES OF MYSTERY: THE SCORPIO RITUALÂ has nothing to do with the Xbox One X. It is a point and click game. Iâve never seen the appeal of these games. You just click on stuff until people do what you want them to, or you do weird things to solve puzzles. Old Man Murray explained this at length so I donât have to.
I love when Steamâs game description character limit gets overrun. INTO THE FLAMES.
DEFENDERS OF ARDANIAÂ gave me a black screen and wouldnât quit when I tried to alt tab or anything. I tried lookin for solutions, but found none. I CAST YOU OUT.
20 games. 3 survived. 17 were condemned to purgatory.
