hi friends! i’m kinda new here so i figured i’d introduce myself (and what i’m working on), so pls be nice. my name is katelyn (she/her), i’m 23, infp/virgo/lover of stars and sweet things, and have plenty of time on my hands due to covid so i figured i’d start giving my writing a bit of love and priority.

i’ve been writing since i was fourteen, never anything serious and most of my original works have never really seen the light of day. however, below are the concepts and wips that will be seen on here!! please note most of them are currently just ideas/premises, are currently being plotted out and don’t have names lmao. genres i love to read and write about include: horror/thriller, mystery, supernatural, contemporary, romance, new adult and i’m a sucker for found families (and enemies to friends to lovers) but am not limited to and will read almost anything

monster hunters inc - the ragtag team of misfits who decide to protect their shitty little town from the things that go bump in the night. includes found family trope because who doesn’t love that?

astoria - a pretty sounding name for a pretty looking town filled with pretty people. white picket fences, a championship-winning football team and the investigation of a teenager’s gruesome death. nothing but a picturesque little town

dear best friend - follows the story of lia and astrid. how they become friends, fall in love and whether or not they make it. delves into platonic and romantic love, having feelings for your best friend and being a wlw.

 mostly ghostly - if you don’t believe in ghost stories, they can’t scare you, right? a group of friends enter an abandoned manor in order to make a wish, just like the old legend said. they weren’t expecting to pay the price in blood. a year later, the group is bought back together to face what went down in that house and the ghosts that followed them out of it (a horrible description really but currently the project i have the most inspiration for)

the ice cream shop - follows the story of nellie, who works in her uncle’s ice cream shop, struggles with the loss of her parents, trying to make it as a dancer, keep from cracking under pressure and keep an eye on her lactose intolerant fellow employee

 other ideas that are half baked include: treasure hunters, modern royals, superheroes, the life and times of young women trying to pave their way in the world, and more…

if you could give me any tips/tricks/welcome packet, i would be forever grateful and happy to message and meet new people!! in the meantime, i’ll be chilling and potentially trying to make things for my stories. i’d absolutely love to hear what other people are brewing up and feel free to send an ask if you want to know more
