Blizzard is such a joke.

I’m infuriated by the absolute bullshit that came out of the Overwatch team yesterday. They let Overwatch languish for years by the hard work of content creators keeping people hyped for a game that had no updates.

They killed Overwatch to work on Overwatch 2 PvE.

And now PvE stories will be seasonal ‘missions’ that people will play once and forget, like a majority of the Archive missions.

They literally gave the community the middle finger after spinning on it for at least 4 years, if not longer. Depends on when you think they started actually ‘working’ on OW2. It’s a fucking disgrace.

#overwatch #overwatch 2 #there's a lot of blame to spread around #decision makers throughout the company are not exempt #i pretty much just have sympathy for the low level people who were given grunt work #that they likely put a lot of thought and care into #but it means nothing now #cause they're either going to trash or repurpose those small elements #and I know a LOT of things have come about the blizzard teams ie SA and stuff #but presumably the overwatch team was exempt from those allegations #other than i guess our coleslaw cowboy #and they had to contend with covid #and and and #there's a LOT of factors here #but it doesn't negate that someone CHOSE to prioritize a pipe dream #and leave overwatch 1 to rot #then polish a turd with a monetization system to justify overwatch 2
