When Kugi was a teenager, she noticed how so many people around her were focusing so hard on love, finding boyfriends, trying to win someone over etc.

She never understood why it seemed so important, and she came to outright find things unpleasant and stressful when Sakura and Ino became really antagonistic towards each other after finding out they liked the same guy.

Kugi, being Sakura's cousin, also had to deal with a still very immature Naruto trying to get info on Sakura from her, and although Kugi always felt like Naruto would be slightly better than Sasuke as a boyfriend, she still refused to help him lmao

Shino was once again the one she sought out to tell these things to, feeling like he'd understand her better than anyone else... since at this time he had to deal with Hinata HEAVILY crushing on Naruto. Whenever Kugi felt well enough to go take walks outside, they'd go look for bugs together and catch up on things.

Being often ignored by others, Shino was always secretly happy to be Kugi's best friend, and that she'd confide in him.

As the rain fell heavily, Kakashi pulled his flak jacket tighter around them. “Here, come closer,” he said, nudging Kai. “You’ll catch a cold if you get soaked.”

“Eh, seriously?” Kai raised an eyebrow, trying to play it cool.

“Yep. I don’t want to listen to you sneeze all day,” Kakashi replied while his eyes expressed a smirk.

Kai rolled her eyes but shifted closer, the playful grin spreading on her face. “And here I thought you just wanted an excuse to be close to me!”

“Maybe I did,” Kakashi replied, his tone teasing. The warmth between them felt nice, the rain creating a cozy little world just for them. In that moment, it was easy to forget about everything else.

So, the rain season just started in my state and I couldn't help but joining the mood ✨ I dunno why, but I feel that the rain just always gives me a soft and loving feeling, I wanted a piece with these two nerds right here that could show such feelings, and here it is!
