A Little Winnie Update

Hello! Okay so, I've been really busy lately. I have several projects I'm working on outside of my normal posting so I took a tiny step back form my series and normal WIPs, but I can share at least a couple things you can look forward to seeing in the future from me:

The Oscar Isaac Fanzine is my main focus as of late, I'm very busy writing some of our favourite men.

The Clonefic Exchange Is another thing I am doing, which is very exciting, very excited to see how that goes.

Operation: More Gregor Fics I have one fic in progress for this, Very excited to give this copy paste man some love

Lyricallymelodic is my music side blog that I am yelling about music and my hyper fixation on Anonymous Masked Bands.

I also have several original works that are possibly going to be published in some anthologies.

I wanted to put out there that @tsunami-watch is on indefinite hiatus, I lost contact with my co-writer, and it really recked me for quite a while, given the situation there.

All that being said. I have lots in the works and tasty fic for you all to read. Love you all very much!

I am doing much better today again. I am still 100000% sure that Castiel will not be back, but I decided to put a list together will all the positive LGBTQ things my fandoms achieved in the last years (that helped me a lot yesterday to get my spirits up again)

Sending letters, mails, videos and a flip flop to Netflix to get Sense8 a finale, see the Nomanita wedding and making Wolfagng x Kala x Rajan canon. Bonus: My flip flop got featured in the thank you video from the cast 😂🤞

Sending postcards to BBC America to renew Dirk Gently. It is still cancelled but now an animated show is in the work

After the mess Sherlock season 4 was, together with the fandom my email helped to give the BBC complain server a break down, + BBC being forced to send us a „John and Sherlock were never in love“ mail. So embarrassing 😂

Collecting letters, arts and cosplays from all over the world, releasing a FinnPoe fanzine and sending it to Oscar Isaac

Helping the author of Shadowhunters to get his writing of Malec back on track, after a weak season 2 and making a Malec wedding possible

I tweeted the writers of Disco for one year (no exaggeration here) to make Jola canon. No clue if it will happen but at least it supported more screentime for them 

Getting in touch with the author of the Lando comics, explaing him how pansexualiyt works and that it is not only robots

The constant support of the fandom made a Destiel love confession possible in the first place

helping to get ODAAT a new home for a 4th season

Using my money to support independet queer artist and buying their fandom relasted stuff

Never let anyone tell you that shipping is not activism. Because it can, if you want to. Our voice are a force of change!

General OI Collective Rules apply across the board for all of our events and projects!

This is a free, digital fanzine. In the future we may take financial contributions for charity or artist profit but for now it's a passion project among dedicated fans.

If you have limitations or want to participate but aren't sure about your ability to commit to what we've outlined in the application, please reach out to us, we don't bite and are happy to answer any/all questions you may have.

YOU CAN APPLY TO DO BOTH ARTIST AND WRITING CONTRIBUTIONS. We encourage it if you want to do it!

SFW:

You'll be assigned the characters you will work on after the applications have been concluded. WE DON'T SUGGEST STARTING TO WORK ON ANYTHING UNTIL THEN.

Must have something to do with coffee/tea but doesn't have to be exclusively coffee shop au. For instance, if you wrote about Poe and wanted it to take place in the Star Wars universe, it doesn't necessarily have to be at a coffee shop, but should at least involve coffee in some way shape or form.

Must be blank to lovers (enemies, friends, exes, e.t.c.)

Fics will be kept between 1.5k min - 3k max word count.

SFW does NOT have to mean fluff, you can have angst, action, drama, e.t.c.

No works may contain anything sexually suggestive, though light flirting or domestic fluff like kissing is allowed. Just nothing too heavy.

All pieces are x reader/x y/n. The gender of the blank reader/ y/n is at the sole discretion of the creator.

There is no skill or experience requirement to participate. EVERYONE WILL BE ACCEPTED!

NSFW:

Must have something to do with creampies.

This is NOT a dark fanzine, therefore non-con, extreme dubious consent, and other dark themes are strictly prohibited. We may do a darkzine in the future but this ain't it.

Fics will be kept between 1.5k min - 3k max word count.

The work MUST contain sexual content, and a creampie of course <3

All pieces are x reader/ x y/n. The gender of the blank reader/ y/n is at the sole discretion of the creator.

No threesomes. I know I'm sorry, we're not against them, but in order to keep this zine organized the way we have it planned it just won't work out with more than one person.

No skill or experience requirement to participate. EVERYONE WILL BE ACCEPTED!

THE INTEREST CHECK RESULTS ARE IN!

Alright everyone, thank you again for all of your love and support with this interest check. CONTRIBUTOR APPLICATIONS COME OUT TOMORROW!!

I don't know why I added the "no" option, nor why one single person actually voted no, but I guess if I put it there that's on me! Haha.

We had a LOT of characters to choose from and told everyone to choose a minimum of 3 OI characters that they would like to see included in the Zine.

We also asked everyone who they did NOT want to see included, and the good news is that the numbers were so small and scattered that we didn't feel the need to include them here.

The characters that will officially be included in the zine are going to be determined by the Artist and Writer applicants. If certain characters get very few to no votes then they won't be included.

It's easy to see how we landed on our theme of Coffee Shop AU + Blank to Lovers for the SFW Zine!

With creampies ranking so highly, and with the Coffee Shop AU for the SFW zine theme, it seemed only natural that Creampies would be the going theme for the NSFW fanzine! Contributors can make it one bed if they want, breeding kink, rough sex, e.t.c.!

After collecting the feedback from the interest check, there were some common themes and interests that you all have voted for.

(More below the cut)

The majority of you are chomping at the BIT for idiots to lovers in the SFW portion of the interest check, however, a good portion also wanted enemies, exes, and childhood friends to lovers. Additionally, the majority of people voted for a coffee shop au out of the aus available. So we decided to go with a coffee shop themed fanzine with an emphasis on "blank" to lovers for the trope!

We were going to leave the coffee shop part out, but the whores in the interest check (I say as though I'm not one myself) voted for creampies and breeding, along with things like one bed, loss of virginity, rough sex, e.t.c.

So, given the coffee shop au situation for the SFW section, we saw an opportunity to get clever with the name and make them kind of go together, and thought "people can write/draw about breeding and creampies AND add the one bed trope, loss of virginity, rough sex, e.t.c. if they want to!"

So as you start thinking up the things you want to create for the zine, keep these guidelines in mind...

We are hoping to receive 100 responses for the zine interest check! So far there are so many people who are excited about this project and holy crap so are we!

We've been brainstorming the themes and tropes that will be featured in both the SFW version and the NSFW version. I have to say, you're all going to lose your minds when you see what we've got in store.

A reminder, this zine is going to include a vast array of Oscar Isaac's characters. I noticed when I was looking through other zines that there are so many for the more popular characters (MK, Miguel, e.t.c.), but what about Santiago Garcia? Or Blue Jones? He has so many fantastic characters that get overlooked by fans and as a result they don't show up in projects like this.

We're also excited to give a space for people of all skill levels, art styles, writing experience, e.t.c. a place where they can participate without feeling like they have to be "good enough". I'm not going to say that there won't be future projects that have experience/portfolio standards, but we will be hosting many that won't stop anyone from participating.

We just want people to feel welcomed and have an opportunity to participate in a really cool project without feeling like they have to adhere to a certain level of "excellence."

So anyway, thanks for coming to my ted talk haha! Don't forget to share this with anyone and everyone you can! This is going to be an amazing project and I want anyone and everyone to fill out the interest check!

What is The Oscar Isaac Collective?

The OI Collective is an organization created by fans, for fans of the Oscar Isaac fandom. We host fan-based publications and events that feature Oscar Isaac's beloved characters.

Our primary goal is to create a space where anyone with an interest in creating fan works for the OI fandom, regardless of skill or experience, can feel welcome to participate in projects and events together!

THE ZINE IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY

I can't believe the creation period is finally here guys! Myself (@melodygatesauthor) and 30 others are working tirelessly to put together this amazing collaborative project for everyone to enjoy.

Over the next several months, as we work on the project, we'll be sharing updates with you all. I will also be rolling out contributor and mod spotlights very soon!

Based on the current results we've already settled on a theme for both SFW and NSFW versions of the zine (to be revealed later today).

HOWEVER, we still want to collect as many responses as we can for the interest check! Please make sure to fill it out before 11:59pm tomorrow (01/14) EST. If you already filled it out, please reblog so others can see it!

MOD APPLICATIONS WILL BE POSTED LATER TODAY WITH THE THEME REVEAL. We are going to be looking for mods for the following:

We are currently in the interest check phase of our fanzine schedule. Once the interest check is concluded on 01/14/2024, we will be able to answer more questions regarding the theme, participants, roles, and schedule!
