Hi! I’m currently recovering from a pretty bad hip injury and am doing physical therapy right now. PT’s been really hard and hurts my hip like hell, so I was wondering if you could maybe write about either a McLaren or Ferrari driver (your choice) who’s going through it after a hip injury and is just having a really tough time, but all of the drivers (especially Lando, Charles, Carlos, Oscar, and Daniel if that’s okay - I know it’s a lot hahaha) are there to reassure her and cheer her on.

If you don’t feel comfortable writing this, I totally understand! I hope you have a nice rest of your day/night! :)

A/N: Hope I did ok with this one. Midterms prevented me from working on this but I tried to finish this as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy it.

Realistically you should be grateful that you can still walk after the massive crash you went through in Jeddah. Well “walk” is a loose term. Having to go through physical therapy and making sure your hip heals properly, you’re not able to put any weight on your foot and have to use crutches to walk. The combination of that and the lingering pain has not made the recovery process easy. But thankfully, you were only the reserve driver for Ferrari, which means you didn’t have to rush your recovery.

“How are you feeling?” Charles asked as he packed your bag for the day while you laid on the bed in your hotel room. Him and Carlos had been helping you throughout the week with getting around the Australian circuit and you were very grateful for your fellow teammates' willingness to help.

“I don’t want to walk or move. I don’t want to go anywhere.” You said.

 “I could carry you if you’d like.” Carlos said. You shook your head.

“And risk you pulling your stitches? You just got cleared to get back in the car and we both know Ferrari can’t afford to have Bearman drive right now.” You told him. 

“Please at least let me carry your stuff or drive you to the track. I'm the whole reason you got hurt.” Carlos said. 

 “No you're not Carlos. It's my own fault I crashed.” You said. You could tell that Carlos felt guilty about you having to fill in for him and then crashing during the race, but you kept trying to reassure him that injuries like yours came with the job of being a race car driver. The only person to blame for your injury is yourself, not the teammate you were filling in for.

 “But if my appendix didn't burst, you wouldn’t have been in the car.” Carlos said. Charles rolled his eyes.

 “Ok, the two of you can assign blame all you want for the rest of the day, but right now, we have to get to the paddock.” Charles said. “(Y/N), I will help you get down to the car. Carlos, you can carry her stuff.”

Charles helped you get out of bed and get situated with your crutches while Carlos grabbed your bag and the two helped you get down to the hotel lobby.

You had barely made it past the paddock entrance and the fan barricades before everything started to hurt. You knew that navigating the paddock was going to be difficult but you didn’t expect to have to stop and rest everytime your hip decided to flare up with pain. You had already told Carlos and Charles to go ahead of you, not wanting to slow them down. They were hesitant to leave you behind, but you assured them that it’s better they make it to the team meeting on time than have them constantly wait for you. 

 “Hey (Y/N)! How are you doing?” You looked up from leaning on your crutches to see Daniel and Oscar approaching you. They seemed to be in high spirits with it being their home race. 

“I’m doing ok. I’m trying to get to the Ferrari garage but I’m having some difficulty.” You said, motioning to your hip.

 “Let me help you then. I’ll give you a piggyback and get you there in no time.” Daniel said.

 “Are you sure? I don’t want you to risk anything before your home race.”

 “Nonsense. Plus it’s better than you having to walk all the way on crutches.” Daniel said with a smile that was hard to say no to you. You reluctantly agreed and handed your crutches to Oscar before climbing on Daniel’s back. 

“C’mon, I’ll get you to the Ferrari garage.” Daniel said. Oscar followed you two and the three of you started conversing on your expectations for the upcoming race. You did admit to Daniel that the piggyback was much better than walking. Without the crutches, your hands were free to wave to fans as you passed and that helped improve your mood. 

“Oh, (Y/N). My gran made these for the McLaren team and I grabbed you one as a get well soon gift.” Oscar said, handing you a nicely wrapped pastry. 

 “Aww, thanks Osc.” You said. You unwrapped the pastry and took a bite. It was delicious and you smiled. 

 “Oh my god. Oscar, can your gran send these to me every time I get injured? I can already feel my hip healing.” You said. Oscar chuckled.

“I’ll let her know you liked them. But promise me you won’t get injured just for the sake of my gran’s baking.” Oscar said.

 “I promise.” You told him.

“What if I don't recover from this?” 

It was late at night. You and other drivers were at a club celebrating Carlos’s win, but you had to step out to get some air.

 “You will. And after you've recovered, you'll win the next race you're in. It's a basic guarantee now with Carlos’s win.” Lando said, who had decided to join you outside to make sure you were ok. 

“I won’t be in another race for a long while. Either Charle’s appendix needs to burst or Kevin needs to get more penalty points for me to be in another race this season.” You said. 

 “Well with the way Magnussen drives, I think you’ll actually have a shot again this season.” Lando said. The two of you let out small laughs, knowing that statement was sort of true.

 “I have to be fully healed before they let me get back into the car.” You said, your smile slowly dropping. “With how everything keeps hurting, especially after physical therapy, I can’t help but feel like that’s not a possibility.” 

“Hey, look at me.” Lando moved your head so you could look him in the eyes. 

 “I know my words can’t automatically heal you, but I need you to know that this pain will eventually pass. You’ll heal, and you’ll get back in that car.” He said. He placed his arm around you and pulled you close to his side without trying to aggravate your injury.

 “And when you do get back in that car, you’ll win that race. Proving that nothing can stop you.”

The smile returned to your face and you pulled Lando in for a hug.

 “I can feel myself getting better already.”

K: Ok, this is Dir en grey's Kaoru, starting this episode of The Freedom of Expression. Joe san, Tasai san. Welcome. Well, um..you know, Dir en grey...we've cancelled our Pia Arena concerts.

J: Ahh, thats right.

K: Its a bit...

T: Its a shame.

K: Well..it is a shame..it was kind of a build up of different things. We did search for ways which we could make it happen. We went to the venue in person, and tried to come up with ideas about how it could work, incuding our staff in the discussion, but...in the end it was quite difficult.

J: Ahh, really?

K: I had thought if we started to be a bit active things might begin to change. I really wanted to get moving, but...well..there would be people who wouldn't be able to go...

J: Well, yes.

K: So when we thought about whether we should do it...hmm..yeh.

J: Well, we want to let everyone know that you went as far as going to the venue to try to figure out what to do, and it does not mean that the band will disappear..

K: Yes

J: And in this sense, its a matter of waiting for the right time.

K: Yeah.

J: Right?

K: When will that be though, right?

J: Ah, well, the number of infections in Tokyo is in a state of increase at the moment, in particular, the night time entertainment sector is being blamed, so it seems as if live houses, or so called places of entertainment may be facing tough times for a little while yet.

K: Well, the numbers...if you decreased the number of customers..there are some places starting to operate again in that way, right?

J: There are, yes.

K: But packed standing areas are probably still a bit far off.

J: Yeah. When I think of a Dir en grey live show...I think of Shinkiba etc, I mean, thats what comes up in my mind. One way to see that type of place is like the three C's woven together (Cramped and poorly ventilated, crowded with people, close contact setting).

K: Yeh.

J: So it is really painful not being able to do that. But while it may take a while until we can, in the meantime we can find different ways or hybrid ways of doing it.

K: Yeah, we have to keep looking in a foward direction. Well...but on the days that we ought to have been performing, the 24th and 25th of  this month, we are planning to stream the intended setlist live on Youtube, so if people can, I'd love them to watch that.

Kami: Um....um...

J: Ah, Kami is here.

Kami: Have you considered playing live wearing face guards or something?

K, J: Face guards?

K: No, we didn't consider that, hahaha

J, T, K: Hahaha

J: This wouldn't fit with Dir en grey.

K: No, we actually talked about it, jokingly. Like how about it?

J: No, if you actually did, it would be like you were making fun of it or something like that. Hahaha.

Kami: Have you thought about ventilating the venue during the show or something?

K: Hmm, yeh, we'd have to make an interval in the middle and doing something like that.

T: I see

J: Well, its difficult isn't it? You'd have to deal with a lot of things. But just like you want to do it, people want to see it too, we are all the same.

Kami: Watching a Dir en grey show with interval breaks would be quite hard, right?

K: Hm, yeah it would probably break the tension.

T: Yeah.

K: Kinda.

Kami: What do you think about doing that?

K: Doing that...well..

Kami: Raising the tension, they saying  Ok, ventilation time!

K: We'd have to make it kinda like smoothly seperated waves.

J: Like leading into something when there is a break?

K: Leading into something. For example, like something sanwiched between the different sections, like showing a piece of film or something.

J: Ahh, its difficult! The people making the rules, have probably never been to live cocerts, because they don't imagine this type of thing at all. We'll have to think about all these small details at the time of performing from now on.

K: Ok, well, today...Joe san, can you please go ahead.

J: Ok, I'd like to go ahead with today's news. This is the news of how Gone with the Wind relates to the Black Lives Matter movement.

With the ongoing anti-racism Black Lives Matter movement, the expanding movement fighting for the lives of black people to be valued, the American streaming service HBO Max who halted the broadcasting of the Hollywood movie Gone with the Wind, have decided to start streaming the movie again, this time with a disclaimer attached....I'm sure you all know it...a movie which is set during the era of the American civil war, in which the system of slavery existed. This was announced by the American entertainment site TMZ. The same service had stopped streaming the movie earlier this month, after Oscar winning screen writer, John Ridley had pointed out that it includes affirmative portrayals of the system of slavery. Ridley won an Oscar for his work on the movie 12 Years A Slave, which depicts the experiences of slaves who were brought to America during the 19th century. According to TMZ, Jaqueline Stewart, a professor know for her research into the history of black people in cinema, has prepared a video containg some historical background to accompany the movie, in which she asks why we need to appreciate this 1939 movie in its original form, and says how it is  important to discuss our interpretations of it. Furthermore, a video of a panel discussion about this movie which took place in April last year will also be shown at the same time. Gone with the Wind is a movie based on the story by Margret Mitchell, featuring top star of the time, Clark Gable, and English actress, Vivian Leigh.

Soo, Gone with the Wind...the news that streaming was stopped once, but has been restarted with a disclaimer attached. What do you think about this, Kaoru?

K: This type of stuff has been said for a long time, right?

J: Yes.

K: And there are a lot of movies like this aren't there?

J: There are. When looking back now, some parts seem problematic. Well, even so, its a difficult issue, but I don't really think there was any need to halt streaming it in the first place. When watching a movie with such a background as this, people will have various feelings about it, so I don't really...but of course including these extras..the American Black Lives Matter movement has grown huge in a way no one imagined, so in order to prevent adding fuel to the fire, these extra videos are being screened too. But, in the first place, I think its important for people to watch works like this, and think about it for themselves. If you are always telling people how it should be, the nuance or message contained in these movies might be lost. Its quite difficult.

T: Well, if it is lost, we'll end up forgetting how that generation used to see the world.

J: Yeah

K: But we won't lose it, right? Just from this..???1* So, well..it was a problem which couldn't be stopped at that time, it was a growing problem. You can sense that meaning, but its like, how you put it across.

J: Yeh, thats right. Well, this isn't about this movie, but for example, as for books, the publication of Hitler's Mein Kampf was halted for 70 years after the war in Germany. There was the idea that it would be bad to let people read Hilter's autobiography, after what he did. But a few years ago it started to be permitted to be published again, based on the idea that banning it also isn't a good idea. And people do actually want to read it, it is selling. So what do you do? Its a very difficult issue. If the works are by people who have done very bad things, like, a if they are written by a very bad person, should we ban it....Like some of Dir en grey's videos are also quite...when you majored, weren't some of them withdrawn or denied release?

K: With that ????2*

J: Ahh, I see. Some bits were ok, and some weren't? Well, with corona changing the world now, this problem will...

K: Well, this type of thing has an influence on a lot of stuff.

J: It does, yes.

K: Like Japanese anime.

T: Also, people are questioning this idea of 'whitening' beauty products.

J, K: Ahh, yeah.

T: That type of thing has come out recently. But even if you say 'whitening' in the context of beauty, what does it mean? Does it mean, white people are beautiful, or does it mean your skin is ???*3 That has become a talking point.

K: Now that you mention it, you are not allowed to tell someone they're short are you?

J: Right.

K: The same for if they are tall, right.

J: Yeah, if you worry too much, you'll end up trying to censor words. Especially with younger people, like sometimes  you have to express things in abbreviated forms, and if they jump on this and say, 'you can't say that!', then the amount of expressions we have will shrink. Well, it is difficult.

K: Well, I mean there are lots of ???*4 with that type of person.

J: Well, its difficult  to know where to draw the line with this type of thing. But with regards to Black Lives Matter, it doesn't appear to have a lot to do with this country, but Black Lives Matter has been closed in on the event where a policeman kneeled on the neck of a black man and killed him. However, if you look at the broader scene, one of the policemen standing by and watching is thought to be a man of Asian descent. And the store that reported the black man who died was run by middle eastern descended people, so its certainly not an issue unrelated to Asia. Its often said that its an issue of only whites against blacks, but actually there are clearly people of Asian descent involved in this situation. On a global scale, there are a lot of issues which you cant simply separate into white against black. So i think we should get our imaginations working a bit more, and think about all the parties involved. It might be a bit hard to imagine living in this country, but we need to realise these are not just other peoples' affairs.

T: Its really imoprtant to try to imagine yourself in someone else's situation, isn't it?

J: I think it is really important. ...Kami?

Kami: Yes yes yes. Were you talking about Gone with the Wind?

J: Ah, you want to return to the topic of Gone with the Wind?

Kami: No, I just thought this was about Gone with the Wind. I have no interest in the movie Gone with the Wind, just the title puts me off. I wasn't really listening this time.

K: He hates this type of movie, right?

J: Yes, he hates it, haha. You don't like this type of thing much?

K: What type of movies do you like?

Kami: Anything, even banned movies.

T: Kami sometimes...

J: He's like Chabudai gaeshi!

T: He appears at times like this.

K: Well, Kami probably likes action movies or that type of thing.

J: Oh you like that type of thing? You don't care  if streaming of Gone with the Wind is stopped?

Kami: Yeh, if a big fuss is made when its stopped, then people will wonder what its all about and try to watch it won't they?

T: Ahh, I see.

J: Ah, on the other hand, yeh.

Kami: I won't watch it though.

K: He's really pressing that point. He won't let us forget.

J: Ahh, so thats that. It doesn't meet Kami's expectations.

Y/N flashed her signature smile at the cameras, ears blocking out, out of habit, the thousands of screams of fans. It wasn’t that she didn’t appreciate her huge fanbase, but come on, she’d like to keep her eardrums intact.

She walked along the red carpet.

Shawn got out of his cab, and lent a hand out to his girlfriend.

“Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes! Hollywood’s sweetest couple! Smile!”

Shawn kissed Camila on the cheek and walked onto the carpet with her. He moved on slowly down the carpet towards the center of it.

Nearing the middle of the carpet, Y/N turned her head and spotted Shawn Mendes. Her breath hitched in her lungs.

Shawn smiled and looked in front of him. His hand fell from Camila’s waist. Standing in front of him was Y/N Y/L/N.

They locked eyes as the same memories played inside both of their heads.

Shawn walked into the bright small Los Angeles café, looking forward to the caffeine he was going to get.

“Yeah actually, got a lot of press conferences today.” He glanced down at the pack of papers she was holding. It was indeed a script, more precisely what looked like a musical.

“Triple shot latte.” She said, placing a cup down in front of him.

“Thank you so much um-“ he looked at her nametag. “Y/N.”

“My pleasure. Shawn.” Y/N grinned.

“Um may I ask if that’s a script?”

“Oh yeah, I um have an audition for a musical in a couple weeks.”

“Wow, best of luck!”

Y/N took a deep deep breath before walking into the audition room. The movie musical she was auditioning for was called “Summer of Love” and the character was the main love interest.

Walking in, she spotted a table of directors and, Shawn.

“U-um hi!” Y/N stuttered. What was he doing here?!

“Hi Y/N, thank you for being here today. So, you are auditioning for Shawn’s character’s love interest. Um, why don’t we turn to page 41 and read from the top?”

“Montreal actually.” Shawn interjected as Y/N opened her mouth to say the same answer.

“Hahaha you two seem very close!”

“I guess we are.” Y/N grinned. “We became really close of course during this entire shoot and we hung out every day actually.”

“Shawn, what do you think of Y/N?”

“Oh god, where do I start. She’s annoying, irritating-“

“Shut up!” Y/N punched him amicably.

“I’m kiddiing.” Shawn said to her. “Y/N is honestly a perfect mix of funny, kind, goofy, artistic and um… “

“And um what mister?”

“Fun.” Shawn finished.

“Well if you don’t mind me asking are you two-“

“If you’re gonna say dating, I’m going to say yes.” Y/N said. “JUST KIDDING. Oh shit, I already see the paparazzi twisting this around.”

“Yeah, maybe this wasn’t a question to joke around with, the media die for this kind of stuff.” Shawn smiled down at her.

Y/N and Shawn undeniably had feelings for each other. What was a little crush turned slowly into more, and after a long six weeks, their feelings have blossomed into a beautiful love waiting to be announced.

Shawn looked into Y/N’s eyes, and took her hand in his. Y/N smiled up at him and closed her eyes as she felt his lips on hers.

And in this moment, they were not their characters, they were Y/N and Shawn and their kiss lit up fireworks in their minds.

On their way to the premiere, he wiped the lipstick off his face.

“Well we are.” Y/N giggled.

“So do you think we should just tell them and make it official?”

“I don’t see why not, since we’re not very subtle anyway.” Y/N laughed.

The two stepped out on the carpet to a round of shouts and camera flashes.

“Y/N! Y/N you look amazing! Oh and you came with Shawn!”

“Yeah actually we have a little announcement to make.” Y/N said, looking at the cameras.

Shawn was looking at her, and said:

“Yeah and that announcement is-“ He pulled Y/N into his arms and kissed her. Y/N smiled up at him.

And in that moment, each other was all existed.

Shawn looked up to quite a sight. There y/N was, sitting in his apartment kitchen, wearing his sweater and fuzzy socks, coffee mug in one hand, book in another.

Shawn’s career was flourishing and he was preparing his biggest tour yet, he was going to be on the road for a year and a half.

Y/N meanwhile, had been to numerous auditions, but hasn’t gotten a part since Summer of Love.

“Shawn are you coming to bed baby?” Y/N hugged him from behind, as he was hunched over contracts and international concert venue information sheets.

“Hmm yeah.”

Y/N went to bed alone, waiting for his body to warm her up.

On the kitchen counter was a note.

“Hey Shawn, I got three auditions in a row tonight. See ya in the morning.”

“Well maybe I’d see you more often if you weren’t involved in tour preparations 24/7!”

“I’d see you more often Y/N if you weren’t trying to get every movie role available in America!”

“I’m sorry if I’m ambitious and want things in life!”

“I have ambitions too!”

Y/N sat down, tears streaming down her face. Shawn flopped down onto a chair, hand going through his hair nervously.

“What’s happening to us Shawn?”

“I-I don’t know.”

“Our goals, careers they’re just. They’re driving us apart.”

“I miss how we used to be.”

“We’re still the same people, we’re just so busy you know? Anyways, I got an audition in ten minutes we’ll um we’ll talk later.”

“I’ll come with you.”

The cab ride, Shawn held Y/N’s hand. Their minds left their careers, their jobs, their schedules and just focused on this intimate moment. As they pulled up to the building however, it all came rushing back.

Y/N’s audition went well. She was borderline trying, having been rejected for every role she auditioned in the past year. This just made the casters see her natural self though, and they loved her.

Outside of the audition building, on a park bench overlooking the city.

“So, what do we do Y/N?”

“I don’t know. Nothing. You’ll have to go on tour, because that’s what you love; and I’ll stay here and you know, wait for responses.”

“I’ll never forget you Y/N. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving you. When I met you, my life was changed because of you.”

“And I will always love you Shawn. Maybe we’ll find out way back to each other.” Y/N smiled sadly.

The camera flashes and shouts came back into Shawn and Y/N’s ears. Y/N blinked and Shawn swallowed as they both turned away from each other and smiled to the cameras.

Y/N turned her head slightly to look back at Shawn. He did the same. In their eyes there still was a hint of love that would not fade.

Y/N smiled at him, and Shawn gave her a small one back.

They weren’t with each other, but all of their other dreams had come true. Y/N was an Oscar-winning actress and Shawn had taken home his first Grammys. It just wasn’t with each other that it all happened.

Have some fluff and a bit of jealousy from the biggest Star Wars fan in AOMG HAHAHA there will be some tiny spoilers ahead for ‘The Force Awakens’ movie. Hope you’ll like it:)

“Hey babe, why don’t you come here and join me?” Your voice managed to fight the beats that surrounded the living room and you saw Sunghwa perk up from his seat, “You’ve been in the studio since this morning.” Then there was a sigh coming from the black haired man, as he continued to mess with the musical instruments in the makeshift studio in the apartment.

“Just one more minute love, I’m starting to feel the beat,” There was a tint of tiredness in Sunghwa’s voice, causing a frown to etch on your face, “You should go and sleep, I’m sure work has been tiring for you.” This time it was you who huffed in annoyance, because when Sunghwa was too engrossed in his work it would have been hard to get him away from it. It was like his ass was glued to the chair with superglue.

“But HBO is going to play Star Wars in 10 minutes! And it’s their first screening for ‘The Force Awakens’,” There was a small smirk on your lips as Sunghwa finally turned around, his eyes showing inner confliction inside of him, “Don’t you want to watch it again with me? I also made popcorns as well.” And bribing the man with food was all that you needed for Sunghwa to step away from the studio, as he made his way to you and hugged your body close to his.                      

“You always won over me (Name),” Sunghwa chuckled, causing a smile to appear on your lips, “Come on, let’s go and watch it.” You held his hand and lead him to the sofa, where there were throw pillows stacked on it alongside a huge blanket. The bowl of popcorn was set on the coffee table in front of the sofa, waiting to be devoured.

The movie played five minutes later and you secretly watched Sunghwa’s eyes glow in excitement, as he sat comfortably while leaning forward slightly, focusing on the movie even though he already watched it. Soon you found yourself laying your head on his chest when Sunghwa’s high went down, with the blanket giving you warmth and the popcorn bowl on top of your crossed legs.

Rather than paying attention to the storyline like your boyfriend, you found yourself watching the details of every CG effects and also the actors and actresses. Movies would always make you gush in amazement, because the editing could make one’s imagination into realization. And the face of every actor and actress were so different, you found the uniqueness in their facial look and expression intriguing.

“Daisy Ridley really fits the character, her acting is spot on and she really portrayed Rey’s character well,” Sunghwa only nodded as you started rambling, his right hand moving to take a fistful of popcorn from your lap, “And her chemistry with John Boyega really shows, the both of them really made their new character interesting!” And your boyfriend nodded again, but you were used with Sunghwa being like this whenever he was too deep into a film, so you continued giving comments about the actors and actresses.

“And the guy who played Poe Dameron is really cool as well! What was his name again? I think his name started with Oscar?” There was a slight discomfort in Sunghwa as he gave a glance towards you, whose eyes were locked with Poe Dameron’s scene on the screen, “And he’s not that tall, yet he gives off this cutie vibe.” This time it was you who were oblivious to Sunghwa’s huff as the man rolled his eyes at you, and a small fire started in his heart as he shifted in his seat.

“What about the guys from the First Order then?” Sunghwa asked, his voice coming out like a spat more than he liked it to be, “What’s your thoughts about Kylo Ren and General Hux?” And you answered his question without looking at him, as the movie rolled to the scene where Kylo Ren took off his mask.

“Physically speaking, Adam Driver is very tall, and he looked much like a gangster since he’s very buff under those robes. And his face is odd— a good kind of odd— and it’s unexplainable but it makes him look kind of scary. He’s towering but packed with muscles and a ferocious face, I’d probably faint if I were Daisy during their light saber duel.” You finished the comment with a laugh, but in Sunghwa’s eyes you seemed like you were sending googly eyes to the actor who played Kylo Ren, which seemed to boil something in Sunghwa’s heart.

‘You’re just tired, dumbass,’ Sunghwa thought in his mind, although it didn’t help with the discomfort that was growing bigger inside him, ‘She’s just giving her two cents on the movie, no need to be so worked up.’

“And the actor who played General Hux! He played the chill Bill Weasley in Harry Potter, and to be honest it’s quite the shock watching him scream about ending the Republic and destroying planets. Honestly he fits the role pretty good, he’s shockingly good playing such an evil character. And there’s this grace in his steps and how he carry himself, which really suits someone who is an important general. These two evil characters are amazing. J.J Abrams really did a fantastic job on this movie.” At this point, Sunghwa was fuming with anger, yet he tried his best to look blankly to the television, although his fists were clenched and his jaw was tightening.

“Then why don’t you date someone like any of them?” The fury inside of Sunghwa snapped without him having control over himself, as the words that had slipped out of his lips were of declaration for war, “You could have gone for someone who’s cute, or maybe a tall hunk, or go for a ginger head instead!” He had moved from his seat to glare at you, feigning a look of hurt and from what you could see in his beautiful brown eyes: jealousy.

Never have Sunghwa gone mad like this after you spoken your opinions, he would either nod off as a silent agreement or put his own opinions for you. But from how he looked so riled up, from how his eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes looked like he had been betrayed, you may have gone a bit too far. Hell, you did go too far, and what’s worse is you went too far on his favorite movie, out of all the movies in the world! You could only stare at Sunghwa in agape, because the sudden change of situation still took you aback.

“I didn’t mean any of it! You know I never take these opinions seriously,” You started to talk, the nervousness seemingly clogging you to speak, “I just like to take in how every person in movies look very different from each other, how they can somehow merge with their characters, and how the uniqueness in them adds up to the perfectness of the movie! I only like them because they are all so exotic, and I don’t even love any of them.” Somehow hearing your reassurance dimmed the fire in Sunghwa’s heart as he sat silently, suddenly feeling lost in himself for his foolish act.

You took his silence to scoot forward, leaning in to gently cup Sunghwa’s face in your hand, making him take a good look at you. He looked so distraught, realizing that there really was no need for his outburst, but you found the jealousy that sparked inside of him was cute. It brought a smile to your lips and soon a giggle followed suit, although Sunghwa looked like he was about to faint because of embarrassment.

“It’s really cute when you get jealous like that babe-“

“I’m not jealous!”

“Well, whatever you call it,” Sunghwa’s cheeks were flushed pink as he lets out a groan, “But there’s really no need for that. I mean, sure they were hunks or cuties, but in my eyes you’re the perfect one here. None of those top class actors could beat you. So your outburst just now was really cute, but don’t ever doubt my love for you, okay?” You playfully ruffled his hair and grinned widely, as you kissed his nose and made the man flush brighter.

“I just- I really didn’t know what gotten over me (Name),” Sunghwa sighed, finally admitting in his heart that he was indeed jealous, “I could never be like them, you know? I’m too old to grow taller and I can’t even get as buff as Jay.” You sighed, since you’ve seen the damage you made had made him self-conscious of his own body.

“I never cared about your looks when I fell in love with you! Your handsome look was a bonus for me, I guess,” The both of you cackled into laughter hearing this, “But I fell in love with your heart, and please know that I won’t even trade the galaxy for you Sunghwa.” Somehow hearing your reassurance was a great way to calm him down, as he felt butterflies fill his stomach. And hearing yourself saying such a cheesy line made you blush yourself.

“Well I’m glad I’m dating a princess and not someone from the First Order,” Sunghwa leaned in to capture your lips in his, although you were smiling in the short kiss, “Like, wouldn’t it be a forbidden love if someone from the First Order dated a Resistance member?” You could only shake your head, because the Star Wars references were getting a bit too much for you.

“Why don’t we get back to the movie? It’s getting to the fun part.”

“But everything in the movie is the fun part!”

“Sure it is, you dork.”

Josh:  yes... they were the best! family forever. i miss them all dearly... however we still hang now and then and keep in touch.

Q:  Hey Mr. Hutcherson, is there any actor (that you have not yet worked with) that you wish to work with someday?

Josh:  so many.... joaquin phoenix is up there for sure.

Q:  Hi Josh, You got second class treatment from Rosemary Telesco and continued with Katniss Everdeen. Does it hurt your feelings?

Josh:  hahaha.... life imitates art…

Q:  What do you define as your first "big break" into acting and that business?

Josh:  For me my first ever job was personally my big break.. I was 9 and I held a goat in the backgroud for a bible study video in ohio.... everyone starts somewhere…

Q:  How do you go about choosing a script that you want to work on, both for this project and other professional work?

Josh:  I want originality. Characters that are bold and have clear voices. i also want to push the boundaries of what reality is.

Q:  Hey Josh! What is the craziest encounter you've had with a fan?

Josh:  i had two girls and their mom show up at my door a few years ago during christmas with my family..... that was..... awkward. Im not answering the door next time. Haha

Q:  do you think 2017 is going to be a good year?

Josh:  hard to believe it can be... however I feel like so many people are getting involved that werent before... this is a moment when people feel energized.

Q:  If you had not been an actor, what profession would you have done?

Josh:  i like building stuff... and i like photography... maybe building stuff and taking pictures of it... if thats a job

Josh:  Thursday... not becuase im here... but because i like how the word looks. and wednesday is finally over.

Q:  JOSH is there anything you couldn't live without?

Josh:  A person who is comfortable in their skin... I'm defintely not. I have gotten better as time goes on but someone who is and who is genuine is successful for me.

Q:  Do you have any advice for someone dealing with depression?

Josh:  I'm not certified to answer this sort of thing. However I go back to perception. As well as really find what you care about and express it. film, music, walking... whatever it is that you can connect with is what i try to lose myself in.

Q:  i feel like, in my mind, i always associate you with the jungle. Why is that?

Josh:  that really makes me smile. I love the jungle and i feel a part of it often. thank you.

Josh:  they are the loves of my life.... I worship them. I believe they are quite happy. they get plenty of love and attention!

You are such an inspiration to me. After almost 10 years as a fan, im really proud of you and everything you've achieved! I do watch some tv... not so so much. I really love GIRLS. that show is so perfect in so many ways. Ive never seen a show that feels more flawed and honest like that one. Best characters ever.

Q:  Really wanna know if you'll keep supporting Bernie although the election is over?

Josh:  ABSOLUTELY. we must. things are crazy now but we need to vote in local elections and keep our voices loud. I miss the days when Bernie was a real option…

Q:  Hey Josh! Congrats on your director debut of "Ape." Were there things you did differently as an actor because you were also the director? How did it change your perspective?

Josh:  it was hard... I liked it a lot but it was tough because i couldnt watch the monitors obviously so i had to make notes in my mind while acting in the scene... i realy liked this experience though and i have somehow even more respect for directors than before.

Q:  Do you believe in a real life happy ending? If yes, what would you tell someone who kind of lost hope?

Josh:  I think a happy ending is possible. I really believe its all about perception. If you can learn to manage that then you can find ways to be happy all the time

What advice would you give you're teenage self when entering the theatre/acting community?

Josh:  thick skin. actors are the most insecure and insane types of people... with that you need to have thick skin to deflect the dissapointment and let downs and judgements.

Q:  Do you want to repeat the experience as a director??

Josh:  No doubt. I loved it. its extremely addictive and Im feining fo some mo.

Josh:  I like stuff that bends reality and questions the human condition... bending the rules. I love films like being john malkovich and eternal sunshine of a spotless mind

Josh:  Two for the Road. 60's film that was way ahead of its time and has inspried so many modern love stories. its great!

Q:  Hello, Josh! As an aspiring filmmaker, I know how tedious making any sort of film can be. What gets you motivated to create? Also, what’s your favorite snack? Cause, duh, snacks are some of the best motivators.

Josh:  Honestly I think i get inspired when i see a dope movie... like when i saw moonlight i just wanted to go out and create something personal and important.

You're such a strong ally to the LGBT community. How did you get involved with your organization, Straight But Not Narrow? What is your advice to the community in the wake of certain political events?

Josh:  We started SBNN becuase it felt like there was a lack of outreach to bridge communities together... especially in schools where bullying is brutal. I think now more than ever showing your support to your neighbors is paramount in surviving whats going on.

Q:  What was it like working with Mark Ruffalo?

Josh:  Hes the best guy in the world. I love that human!

Q:  Do you have any directorial advice?

Josh:  prepare!! Its so important to know what you want to make so when youre there on set you have it all set up.

The script is the absolute base for everything. understad it inside and out.

You and I went to the same school, and you even lived in the same neighborhood as some of my close friends. We’ve never met because you always looked like you wanted privacy and I wanted to respect that, plus I’m a shy person who wouldn’t have known what to say. I’ve always wondered if you felt like you sort of missed out on your high-school experience, and if that impacted you on a social and mental level.

I’m trying to pursue my dream of becoming a published author, but sometimes I just feel like it’s never going to happen and that I’ll never be successful in the only thing that I’m passionate about. What advice would you give to someone who’s been told over and over again to give up their dream and focus on a more practical plan for their life?

Josh:  It definitely was challenging... its a deep and dark place to go to and I like tapping into that side of myself... I think I did alright... Im my hardest critic

Have you thought about being in another large franchise such as the hunger games?

Josh:  Hmmm. I would say that directing definitely requires a shit ton more focus and work!!! Id say thats more challenging for sure

Josh:  YES!!! The plan is to fastrack this into production after the short comes out. the feature is even deeper and darker... gonna be weird…

Q:  If Peeta tried to fight you, could real life you take him down?

Josh:  fuck yeah!!! well... maybe not. I have a ferocious side that I can tap into.

Q:  Hi Josh (my brothers name too) What is the most Hollywood thing you have done/seen so far?

Josh:  dont ever come to hollywood for a vacation... its tacky and nothing like they make it seem. Hah.

Q:  There's definitely a theme of dealing with mental health issues in your film. Is this something you've dealt with personally?

Josh:  There have been moments where I've questioned my mental state... haven't gone too far down that road but I think it's beyond interesting to try to empathize and deal with people who are dealing with those.

What is your dream role, if you could have any in the world, and what is your dream directorial role (genre, plot, cast to direct)? If you had to pick one of these, dream role or dream directing opportunity, which would you prefer to do?

Now this is the obligatory thank-you part that I could not pass up the opportunity to post, considering how much your LGBT+ work has meant to me:

I figured this would be a good opportunity to send some well-deserved thanks your way and hope you see it…! This idea of wanting to thank you started in a letter I started writing a good few years ago now… which I still happen to have in my bedside table, because it never got sent. (I don’t think I ever figured out where to send fan-mail to you, which didn’t help my cause.)

I don’t remember, when I was younger, knowing of any out actors. I’m 20 now, but up until my mid-teens, there was a big blank space around the ideas of ��LGBT+’ and ‘the world’ being connected for me. I’ve known I was gay since I was 11, but the experience was very isolating, not knowing any gay people in real life. I had no foundation to go on, no experience in this, and obviously felt as though I couldn’t talk with anyone about it, even though I remember very few support-type services.

I remember seeing you in Zathura (my Dad loves Jumanji, so it was bound to happen) and ever since then, I think I’ve just sort of stuck with you. I must have seen that movie when I was about 12/13, and I think that’s when I started to hear what it was you were saying, because I noticed it was relevant to me. I followed what you were saying, and as I got older and more aware of myself and the world, it really started to have an impact on me. I felt as though that was my connection, as though that was my way of learning partly about who I was.

Even though you weren’t gay, the fact that you were only a few years older than me and were into the things and the field I also enjoyed really helped me relate to you. Because I related to you and because you actually meant something to me, the message you seemed so passionate about really resonated with me and it gave me a sort of courage and hope I don’t think someone older (or just generally someone whom I didn’t look up to) would have been able to instil. For the first time, someone I liked and someone I respected was talking about this thing I wasn’t able to share with anyone else. And they were a proper force in the ‘wider world.’

I never really struggle with ‘being gay,’ but I struggled with what other people might have thought, and again your dialogue helped with that. It was just so amazing to see someone whom I respected acting in a way that showed me he would treat me and people like me just as he would any other person. Even though it wasn’t a two way conversation between us, I felt that because you were a person with such a big stature who was brave enough to say this in public, that surely you knew people like me were out there and you were at least partially talking to us.

In the big scheme of things, I didn’t have it as hard as some others do, and I never want to take that for granted. My parents are relatively liberal and Australia is an OK climate to LGBT+ in. But I still found that it was hard to relate who I was with something bigger, and it was scary thinking about whether I would have to start a journey of discovery (not just self-discovery, but a discovery of ‘everything LGBT+’ I suppose you could say) on my own. Simply said, you helped me bridge the gap that I think sometimes people forget exists, even for young LGBT+ people in “supportive” environments. Just because they’re supportive doesn’t mean they’re informative or comfortable.

Nowadays, I’m so happy when I see younger celebrities come out, because I know how much that visibility and that platform means to young LGBT+ kids who simply want to see someone like them on television or in the media. Ellen Page, Charlie Carver, Tom Daley, Troye Sivan, Gus Kenworthy, etc, are all fantastic people that I just know will help make all the difference in someone’s life, as you did in mine.

So, all in all, I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do for me and everyone else like me! I think it’s fair to say you’re not just an ally, but a friend too. I hope one day I get to shake your hand and thank you in-person for what you’ve done.

SuperGirl 2x10 Review

I’ve decided to start making these simply because I am 101% invested in this tv show and I haven’t been this passionate over one since the 100. Alright, let’s get on with it. 

Warning: extremely biased but for right reasons

1. THIS EP WAS SO FUCKING INTENSE. I LOVED EVERY ANGSTY SCENE.

I am living for protective Kara and the dynamic between James and Winn. The scene wherein James full-out argues with Kara, telling her that a man behind an office desk is not whom he wants to be, I loved that. His character is going through a lot of growth and this episode fully embodied that. He went from hiding so many things from Kara (including feelings) to now voicing out his desires to be the Guardian and not backing down simply because Kara reminds him he’s human and unsuitable to be in the field she is in. aND IF THATS NOT BEAUTIFUL THAN MON-EL AND KARA SHOULD BE TOGETHER (all y’all just immediately siding with me because fuck no HAHAHA)

Not to mention MY BABY HANK. I WAS DUMBFOUNDED WATCHING ALL THIS... RAGE SPILL FROM HIS WORDS AND MOVEMENTS WHEN ALEX AND HIM TALKED ABOUT MEGHAN AND SAVING HER. WHERE’S HIS OSCAR? In all seriousness, I was very impressed.

Let’s not forget my other nugget Melissa. Guys. The silence in the room when she walked in after just finding out about James being the Guardian. Holy shit. I couldn’t help but laugh at Alex’s face when she asked for them to leave so they could talk, “ooh shit gotta go back to being gay with the girlfriend”. 

2. JAMES CALLING OUT MON-EL WAS SO PERFECT

Y’ALL I GOT SO HYPE WHEN JAMES WAS LIKE “YOU MEAN THAT FRAT-BOY WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT HIMSELF??” OH MY GOD. WRITERS, KUDOS TO YOU. It’s a good thing the actual creators of the show recognize Mon-El’s character and how unhealthy he is for Kara. Like, sure he saved her life and shit but we all saw how disappointed and frustrated Kara was when he abandoned all those civilians. She always gets a second chance, normal human beings don’t. So at least now we can say that, in case they DO get together, it’ll never work out because the type of person Mon-El is is not the type Kara would ever withstand. Her entire existence is to protect and serve, how can she be with someone whom only cares about his own feelings?

3. The LACK of angst

Sanvers. Agh. The entire episode had me on edge but when Sanvers came on screen, I just floated like a butterfly and grinned like an idiot. Maggie’s bet for her to eat vegan ice cream and Alex (horny) Danvers’ proposal for her to stay the night at her place. How much cuter can you get. This is the representation we deserve. BUT, with smooth rides come rough bumps up ahead and I’m sure that all this cute, coupley stuff is to prepare us for how they’ll overcome their differences by arguing and, possibly, coming close to breaking up again. Anyhow, I’m excited for them and their growth as a bad-ass couple either way. 

4. The last scene

Let’s just say I was yelling the entire time for Kara and Modell’s not to kiss (you best bet I was lit as fuck when they didn’t). I mean, the music, the cozy, warm yellow lighting? Their cute outfits? Longing stares? I felt the sexual desire blasting through the screen. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating on Monelly Cyrus it’s just the fact that.... REALLY? KARA HAS BEEN DOING SO WELL, PUTTING HERSELF FIRST AND NOT GOING INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH JAMES BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T FEEL THE SAME ANYMORE. PUTTING HER SISTER’S HAPPINESS BEFORE HERS AND SUPPORTING HER COMING OUT. FOCUSING ON HER NEW JOB AS A REPORTER (and doing a great job) AND YOU GIVE US THIS SLICE OF WHITE BREAD WHOM KISSED HER BECAUSE THE COLOR OF HER EYES REMIND HIM OF COMETS? BITCH NAH. GIVE ME BACK JAMES AND KARA INSTEAD (or lena coughcoughwhateverfloatsyourboat). DON’T DEMEAN SUPERGIRL TO A FRAT-BOY WITH SUPER STRENGTH AND SPEED. THE WRITERS HAVE BROUGHT HER UP WAY TOO FAR AND BEAUTIFUL TO COUPLE HER WITH MON-EL OF WHITE BREADS.

When and why is the last time you cried (or at least, shed tears)? Just this morning, my mother reached a new low and it upset me.

Have you ever cried at a real wedding? I haven’t, nor do I remember the last wedding I attended.

How would you feel if a girl asked your boyfriend out for a drink? Well my situation is the opposite, but I would feel wildly uncomfortable if a guy asked Gab out. But then I also know she’d say no so it’s nothing to worry about.

Do you use Skype? No. I hate video chatting, I always look horrendous in those.

What do your flipflops look like? I have several pairs - one UP-themed, one Paramore pair, and an Elizabeth Taylor/Audrey Hepburn pair.

Any idea what you want for your next birthday? Gab suggested I have a water balloon fight with friends but I don’t know if I can afford it, since our group is fucking big. I’m okay just having dinner and a nice night out with her.

What do you use to remove makeup? I barely put on makeup so I don’t spend on removers. I just use water and my hands, and a towel to rub it off if it gets stubborn.
