Guys I am very obsessed with xmen rn, I have watched 7 movies in the xmen universe in 3 days and I am currently watching my 8th đ
Anyways I am going to give my opinions on them (I am doing this in the order i watched them)
Deadpool- amazing, 10/10, I would want to watch this again for the first time. It was so funny and yes Ik it is not a xmen movie but I did say xmen universe and there are xmens in the movie soooo- anyways everyone should watch it I love it sm the comedy is on point for the whole movie, the action os amazing and the plot was just *chefs kiss*
Deadpool 2- AMAZONG SEQUAL!!! Such a good movie, 10/10 I love that shit. This sequel slayed and everyone in it was a slay, Wade is my Canadian icon <- is Canadian xemself. I very much loved the plot, characters and just like everything. I also need to say it now, Wade does not look that bad in these movies đ like bro looks half decent why does everyone think he is so fugly??
Days of future past- absolute slay of a movie, Ngl everything in this movie bangs. It is either a 9-10/10 for me. I really enjoyed the characters in the plot, I for sure preferred the past bits over the future bits but that is neither here nor there. Peter slayed, Logan slayed, Hank slayed, Charles slayed, Erik slayed, everyone slayed. Idk if I can put into words how much I loved this movie, genuinely so so good. I always rewatch this one and it never fails to make me happy always a good and fun time and all the characters are just so skrunkly.
Apocalypse- dude. Dude listen- when it comes to the plot and apoc himself I uh I hate it a lot. Maybe hate is a strong word but it was one I said a lot watching it đ the plot is weird and iffy and not my thing. The characters on the other hand, the characters lowkey slayed. Liek some did (peter, Kurt, Scott, angel for some bits, raven, hank, etc) and other were uh not my thing (apocalypse. Mainly apocalypse but also Jean. (Side note, I think that is his name, the main Bady is who I am referring too by saying apocalypse)) idk my rating for the movie just if you ever watch it donât watch it for the plot watch it for the characters pls you will drive yourself insane if you donât. 5-6/10 characters really save it.
First class- Ngl I enjoyed this one. Charles did piss me off for like the whole movie (I began to rage at that man Ngl đđ) but everyone slayed!! They were all super silly Billyâs, though idk how I feel about how they portrayed Darwin in the movies knowing that his physical appearance did play a big part in his backstory in the comics (this is as kn he looks like an alien in the comics and he looks normal in the movies). OTHER THAN THAT! It was pretty fun! Raven was super cool in it and so was Erik. I really like how they went a bit in-depth on his backstory. 8-9/10
X-men- ABSOLUTE SLAY OF A MOVIE !! Dude dude dudes I love rogue and Loganâs relationship sm it is so cute, fr father-daughter moments right there. I really enjoyed Logan (wolverine) in this, he was very fun and everyone slayed. I love Bobby too, Ngl I can see how in these movies they donât have the overplot plot sorted out bc there are some gaps between what we know about what happened in future past and apoc and what the characters show (I.e not knowing who Logan is even if they should.) but that is okay! I genuinely really enjoyed this movie and I craveeeee more rogue and Logan moments. Also everyone slayed here and Charles didnât annoy me as much! 9/10
X-men origins: Wolverine: ⊠so uh that is a movie that exists. I give it like 0 maybe 2 if I am being generous out of 10 (0-2/10) bc this movies is bad. Like really bad. Donât watch it, pls donât. I do not subject yourself to that đ it is Not cannon to any of the other movies and how do I know that without looking it up? BC THE WHOLE THJNG GIVES DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE AND SCOTT A VERY DIFFERENT BACKSTORY!! It is so fucking bad, like I got half way through and considered quitting but I didnât and it just got worse đ donât even get me started on gambit, BRO DOES NOT LOOK LIKE GAMBIT WDYMMMM THERE ISNT EVEN HIS ICONIC EYES NEVERMIND THE OUTFIT IS FUCKEDD. Also deadpool in this.. holy fuck. I was so excited at the beginning to see Wade but at the end I wanted to die đ /nsrs. Why does he look like that??? Did not enjoy at all, Logan did have one funny line that I can remember so I will give him that but that was all like it. Did not enjoy do not make yourself ever watch that unless it is for torture reason. I didnât even finish it, I still got 9 minutes left but I gave up
X2- this is the one I am currently watching and it SLAPS! More rogue and Logan moments, more Bobby, WE GET NIGHTCRAWLER IN UR!!! KURT MY CHILD!! Charles is okay, Jean, Scott and storm all slay in their own ways no my favs by any means though, lack of hank which is sad lol. Only thing I donât like so far, and dudes I like most things in this, is just the over all story plot holes. In apocalypse Kurt goes to the school and knows about it and apocalypse is set before x2, whilst in this movie he hadnât even heard of the school and didnât know any of the peeps he had met before and they didnât know him. Minor issue, not that big of a deal but annoyed me a bit lol. Canât give my rating yet bc I am not done but I will reblog this post when I am and give you my final thoughts! Or Iâll just edit this and reblog for other movies idk
Anyways hope yâall enjoyed my little rambles, more will be out in the future bc I am insane over these silly little ppl hehehehe

How Iâd write a Buffy/Angel spinoff!
I still say the best spinoff they could possibly ever make would be all the Chosen Slayers getting deactivated, then Buffy and a Shanshu'd Angel (IMO, this plot really would only work with Angel, because it actually matches his story arc, not Spike's, to want a human life and fatherhood) have a daughter who grows up not knowing the truth about her parents (and half-brother!) until it's forced to come out.
I would particularly note that the first thing that happens to newly-called Slayers is their prophetic dreams. If ever there was a way to start breaking secrets to this new heroine that also serves as flashback exposition featuring the old shows, this seems custom-built for it. Itâs exposition for the audience that never saw the old shows as well as an introduction to a key Slayer ability, but most importantly, itâs personal family revelations that go far deeper than historical flashbacks of unrelated persons or monsters that mean nothing personal. These would be scandalous secrets for a baby Slayer, given Buffy was the rule-breaking Slayer who is most famous for having romantic relationships with the very creatures sheâs supposed to slay. Angelus would be the worst family secret of all! This story has all the makings of an existential crisis before acceptance. That would also be a good place to drop in Connorâs history. Buffy never actually got to react to that bombshell either, so that would be an interesting drama with her, as well. Buffy and Angel both tended to feature heavily in prophetic dreams, so it also just feels right to continue that.
If there's some reason why David Boreanaz (who, let's face it, is really not getting younger and SEAL Team can't go on forever) can't or is unwilling to appear, one could have an explanation that Wolfram & Hart has had him trapped in a holding dimension for years as punishment.
You could even build an arc around that with Buffy or the daughter trying to find him. Basically, a kind way of explaining Angel's absence if necessary and Buffy unfortunately having to mirror her single mother (which was a fear of hers), despite it being no fault of Angel's. It would be yet more cruelty for him to miss out on yet another child growing up, which would be a dramatic plot point itself. It could actually become a story where he does matter quite a lot, despite initial absence or mystery.
An even bigger shock than mom having Slayer superpowers and a world full of supernatural forces would be a reveal that dad is a 394+-year-old (depends on if you count hell--in a modern-day spinoff, Angel is rapidly approaching 400 years!) ex-vampire.
The most interesting and fitting story you could ever do with a maturing Buffy would be having her be a mother and trying to have a normal life.
This would also give Sarah Michelle Gellar a starring role that allows her to be age-appropriate, yet also having a younger generation that the original audience can still care about because she isn't completely divorced from the two previous shows in the way that an unrelated Slayer spinoff would be. It allows the core storylines of *both* shows to truly matter, far more than a Buffy Steele-Gunn offspring would.
---
Just a a few notes about my pitch for a continuation that works with the real ages of actors and their availability... I should also note that Xander (played by Nick, anyway--Kelly might work for a flashback) is a character who could never appear in live-action again, so maybe he could be used as another event that contributed to Buffy's retirement besides pregnancy.
If the Shanshu and conception were directly post-NFA, any offspring would be 16 years old right now. IMO, if there were any plans to give SMG a series with her in a major supporting role, this just means that the space for how long between NFA and the Shanshu or how long Bangel got to be with each other widens for however many years it would take to revive the franchise.
I strongly believe that the best option for the franchise would be a back-to-the-suburbs story exploring age-appropriate Buffy facing motherhood, rather than trying to turn Buffy into a war general surrounded by nothing but subordinates (horribly alienating future for her) with a lack of equals or a grounded setting Ă la the season 8 comics. If you want to introduce the Buffyverse to a new audience whom you can't expect to watch 24-year-old shows until they're interested enough by the revival, you're going to have to ground characters in a relatable reality.
As for how a new Slayer would be called after deactivation, I firmly believe the line is through Faith now anyway, so it would just take her dying for a minute Ă la Prophecy Girl for a new Slayer to be called. I would definitely want Faith in the show!
--- Facebook discussion
I feel like SMG's concern was less wanting to reprise the role entirely, but more concern that she'd be expected to play the same exact role in her 40s. This is giving her a role that fits a woman (and a mother in real life) who is in her 40s and is a major supporting role rather than he young lead whose story is being centered on.
As for the Angel situation, SMG might actually be more willing to return if she could beg DB to come back for perhaps an initially-limited role and the scenario is one I believe she'd actually support, as it fits with her preferences!
While it might seem that Buffy as a single mother retreads the original, Angel is obviously nothing like the Hank situation (not to mention Joyce and Hank being completely clueless), so the circumstances of the father would be quite different from Buffy's own situation, while also feeding into her own stated fears about her future.
This also brings up all the conversations in Bad Eggs, The Prom and the Chosen cookie dough analogy (children are mentioned again) to the forefront. Unlike with the other options, it was something that came up repeatedly. Admittedly, it was always by Angel due to his infertility and the human life he most desired; all of which ended up being an important part of *his* story.
However, a part of Bad Eggs that is woefully underrated is that Buffy was disappointed when Angel told her vampires can't have children. She immediately covers it up with a babble speech and then starts making excuses for why Slayers are unlikely to have that kind of future. Young Buffy did not disregard it because she didn't want children ever at all, but because the person whom she saw that future with was someone who couldn't have them.
Enter Nikki Wood, where Buffy learns that at least one Slayer was definitely a mother, which she was clearly surprised by.
That's another reason why I can see Buffy, if she got her hopes up with post-Shanshu Angel and conceived, would do anything to be a good mom by not being all about "the mission". She would never want her child to be raised without parents. And I think she'd be doubly sensitive to that, not just because of Nikki, but because of Hank leaving and Joyce dying.
Buffy also became surrogate mother to Dawn, who was made out of her (in a sense, she is her real mother), so Angel's situation with Connor actually had a direct mirror in Buffy's situation with Dawn.
But those conversations were also not just about wished-for children that couldn't be conceived, but also asking Buffy to think about what she wants for her future if she took out the belief that Slayers don't live long enough to have one.
This show would be the answer to what happens to a Slayer when she does live long enough to have the future she barely wanted to get her hopes up for before.
Buffy (ditto Angel) is the character for which this story actually has a ton of setup in the shows themselves. These characters talked about it! And the circumstances are really nothing like Joyce and Hank, even if the initial setup plays into both Buffy and Angel's worst nightmare scenarios about parenthood: being a single mother and not getting to raise the miracle child you thought you'd never have. That kind of bittersweet writing that shirks too-good-to-be-true wish-fulfillment is a cornerstone of what makes it a Buffyverse storyline. If the daughter's family lied to her about their history to keep her safe and protect her from knowing what goes bump in the night (making them the polar opposites of Hank and Joyce in regards to knowing all too well--especially Angel's experience of being the worst thing you could bump into at night, rather than utterly clueless), that would certainly be a conflict. Especially if she found out in a particularly shocking way (say, prophetic dreams). And if Angel (I'd like to imagine he has the company of ghost!Wesley and maybe Illyria and Spike) has been taken for punishment by Wolfram & Hart, it might really confuse her if she doesn't know that he didn't just leave or some other excuse Buffy covered it up with. Wolfram & Hart would also probably love the irony of Angel getting what he most desires (to be human and a father), only to punish him with it by wasting his remaining years separated from all that he loves.

Way Too Early Predictions: Oscars 2020
Hello. Itâs me, again.
I know weâre still digesting Hollywoodâs Biggest Night and reminiscing about the past few months of Awards and Honors (just me....?). But itâs time to put that behind us. Weâre looking towards the future now.
I always enjoy award season, even if it is disappointing and Iâm left bitter and defeated. But guess what? We always have next year to look forward to. And now weâre going to take a sneak peak at what may be on the horizon for 2020.
Itâs time...for my Way Too Early Oscar Predictions
During the Oscars this year we were treated to a nice little teaser for Martin Scorseseâs latest film, the Irishman which will most likely be competing next year. Iâve been following this film since it was announced, ready for the Oscar potential that comes with any Scorsese film. Right now, all thatâs listed for a synopsis on IMDB is, âA mob hitman recalls his possible involvement with the slaying of Jimmy Hoffa.â I mean...sign me up right there. The cast also features Oscar veterans, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, as well as Joe Pesci and Harvey Keitel. Itâs been a hot minute since Scorseseâs last Best Director win and even his last nomination. The only thing that slows this train down for me is the fact itâs been scooped up by Netflix. I still donât think Netflix movies should be considered for Oscars and I absolutely hate watching movies at home that should be seen in the theater. Unless Netflix releases this into theaters and acts as a distributor, I may not be as hyped about this when itâs actually released as I am now. But...Iâm still super into this and wouldnât be at all surprised if it becomes an award show darling.
Potential nominations: Picture, Director, Acting, Screenplay
Speaking of another film starting itâs campaign early...
The first full trailer for the Elton John biopic, Rocket Man just dropped this past week and you know after the success of Bohemian Rhapsody theyâll be setting their sights on awards. Taron Egerton seems a high prospect for a Best Actor nomination and Iâd love to see this nominated for costumes (the same way I wanted Bohemian to be nominated...iconic looks!). Iâm super excited about this one since I just caught Elton on his last tour and, to be honest, I love any movie about musicians (but donât classify them as musicals!). Several articles have already claimed Taron has started his campaign for award seasons (after he showed up to sing at Eltonâs annual Oscar party), and honestly why shouldnât he? The only foreseeable problem (besides the possibility it could always be terrible...weâve only seen the trailer) is that it comes out in May. In entertainment terms, itâs practically an eternity between May and true Oscar season. I mean, A Star is Born came out in October (although it premiered in August at the Venice Film Festival) and lost steam so fast, by the time January rolled around it seemed like a distant memory. Iâm not sure this could pull off a Best Picture nomination. It will probably depend on what else is nominated and how many films they decide.
Potential nominations: Picture, Acting, Screenplay, Costumes, Cinematography
Itâs not a biopic, but another film based on a true story coming in hot is  A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a film featuring Tom Hanks as the iconic Mr. Rogers. Itâs not a biopic about Rogersâ life, but rather a true story revolving around his friendship with journalist Tom Junod. Iâm personally glad itâs not a biopic or biography-type movie, since we already had the phenomenal documentary released this past year. Tom Hanks has already started generating Oscar buzz even though all weâve been granted is a single photo of him in character. Thatâs all we need, though! Tom is the perfect choice to play the kind and gentle Rogers and a Best Actor nomination is probably on the horizon. Itâs also directed by Marielle Heller who helmed one of my favorite films of 2018, Can You Ever Forgive Me. I sincerely hope the Academy fixes their screw up of 2018 and nominates her next year. Iâd like to say itâs a lock, but since sheâs a woman, who knows (yes Iâm throwing shade at the Academy. Iâll do it all day)? With a November release date, they definitely have awards on the brain.
Potential nominations: Actor, Director, Screenplay
The film that Iâm personally the most excited for is Quentin Tarantinoâs Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I love Tarantino films and really just Tarantino in general. When the announcement about this film was initially made, it mentioned the Manson murders and, despite my love for Tarantino, I will admit I rolled my eyes and thought ânot another one.â But the synopsis has shifted, now listed on IMDB as âA faded TV actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angelesâ with Wikipedia mentioning all of this taking place during the same time as the Manson murder. So now Iâm more intrigued. Where does Sharon Tate fit in? How do they Manson murders come in to play? Oh my goodness I already canât wait for this film. As if that wasnât enough, our main leads are two former Hollywood âItâ men, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. As far as I can remember, the two have never starred in a film together which is insane. The film also boats a cast that includes Margot Robbie, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, and Kurt Russell. With all those names, it seems likely that someone will land an acting nomination. Thereâs probably going to be stiff competition, but Iâd love if Leonardo snagged another Best Actor (or even Supporting Actor) nomination and itâd be great to see Brad Pitt maybe even win. Hollywood loves Hollywood and they seem pretty fond of Tarantino, so I wouldnât be surprised with a Best Picture nod and maybe even a Golden Globe win. Tarantino has also won the Original Screenplay Oscar twice, so a nomination seems almost given. This also marks his ninth movie, which if he sticks with the plan, will be his second to last before his retirement (or long hiatus. I have a hard time believing heâd be gone for long). If he starts playing that up again, it could help boost him to a nomination, if not a win.
Predicted nominations: Director, Acting, Screenplay,
Some other titles being tossed around...
Harriet, about the life of Harriet Tubman, has started gaining steam. I havenât read too much about it yet, but given the powerful figure itâs about, it seems ripe for Award Season. Predicted nominations: Best Picture and Best Actress.
The Report made quite the splash at Sundance. I have mixed feelings, since I usually find any films about our government not directed by Adam McKay to be boring and dry. Listen, we live with the government, we donât need to be reminded of whatâs going on. But this one does have two of my favorite people, Adam Driver and Annette Bening, and started generating Oscar buzz as soon as its premier was over. Iâd die if Adam Driver makes another trip to the Academy Awards and I donât know what Iâd do if he wins. Annette Bening may be our Glenn Close of next season, as she has also never won an Oscar and it could be her time. Predicted nominations: Picture, Actress, (supporting) Actor, Screenplay
Little Women will be Greta Gerwigâs next feature film, following on the success of Lady Bird, which saw itâs own Oscar acknowledgement (although it left empty handed). Iâve never been a fan of the story, but to be honest Iâve never read all of it. Iâm giving this a chance since I love Greta and the cast includes her darling Saoirse Ronan and everybodyâs boyfriend TimothĂ©e Chalamet, as well as Emma Watson, Florence Pugh (my favorite fresh face) and Meryl Streep (an Oscar staple). Could this be incredibly boring? Yes. But it could also be an award season favorite since it is a period piece. The Academy loves those.. Predicted nominations: Picture, Director, Screenplay, Costumes.
These are just some of the titles that have been thrown around so far. After my least favorite year for film in a long time, Iâm looking forward to this new crop. Tarantino, Scorsese, Gerwig, a film with Adam Driver, and biopics abound! Iâm so ready for 2019. Here we go.

Detroit: Become Human - Funny story...
Okay... so Story Time because my friends pointed this out and itâs been fucking with me ever since.
This is the story of how I kinda...sorta wrote/ predicted parts of DBH about...2 years ago. Just hear me out...okay?
So this all started similarly to how DBH started, with that dope-ass demo back in 2012. My 15 year old self became enthralled in it, much like I am now enthralled in the full game. Iâve always loved story telling and had a sort of soft spot for digital modelling. So that demo was a masterpiece to me, it had a great concept and beautiful design. It was a short obsession but it had an impact.Â
And that was the last piece of news Iâd ever hear about it until a month after they released the full game. I remember hearing some rumour that they werenât gonna make it a full game or something and left it at that. I didnât hear anything about itâs coverage at E3 because while I like video games, I become absorbed in different obsessions from time to time.Â
And two years ago I was obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons, the thought of creating a whole world and having others enter it was fascinating. And while I tried to create worlds from scratch, I had a problem.Â
I had never been too interested in Fantasy things, I liked fantasy characters but tended to focus on too much of the political aspect of fantasy worlds and not the fun stuff like slaying dragons and stuff.Â
The return of an old obsession began to try and take my focus off of DnD but I wasnât ready to let it go yet.Â
So I merged them, DnD didnât have to be fantasy, I didnât have to invent a world from scratch and luckily my old obsession had a world pre-designed. Marvel, specifically MCU had a treasure trove of lore and I could take a number of rules from DnD 5e and tweak them to suit the change in genre.Â
So I started off with a one shot campaign, set in a HYDRA base. My three player characters would be playing themselves and making decision based on how theyâd react. They âwoke upâ in a white plastic robot body. Singular, all three were in the same body, looking through the same eyes and rolling for control over said robot body. It was entertaining to watch them figure out what they hell was going on organically. They quickly met the first NPC an old doctor/sciencist who was a very nervous person. He explained that theyâd all been loaded into the same body by accident and that he was just testing out that his creation (the body itself) was working correctly. So my players decided to answer the jumpy doctors questions and let one of them take control as the doctor got them to walk around while still connected to the computer around them by a bunch of wires connected to the back of their neck. The doctor left the room briefly (to report to his superiors) before returning and calmly explaining that heâd need to shut them down before making the rest of the bodies. Yes, this was heavily inspired by the demo but the players didnât notice or didnât comment on it at the time. And they genuinely really like the one-shot. So, I started writing more, growing the campaign and expanding my list of NPCs.
Now I know what youâre thinking, âwow...you ripped off the demo and think that counts as writing a whole gameâ but I never said I wrote the whole story, that would be mental. But as both me and my players have pointed out, there is a large number of similarities which is spooky because as i already stated I didnât know anything about DBH until almost a month after itâs full release.Â
The first and most profound is Amanda. Or my Amanda, whoâs called Ruth LaRue. Dr. Ruth LaRue, the trioâs psychologist/co-creator who acts pleasant (too pleasant) towards them...unless they disobey or resist their training to become Hydra Assets. One of my players is rebellious and LaRue has tried to manipulate and coldly threatened him as a result. While another obeys and gets praise and rewards as a result. Also she looks like Amanda (a character i didnât even know existed), I originally described her as the same race, hairstyle, though slightly younger. And then I drew her (poorly) for my players to get a better idea of how she looked and Jesus Christ they look the same.Â
Another is the fact that I have three player characters. There was a possible fourth player but work and life made it difficult for her to be a part of the game. Also my players are two boys and one girl. And while thatâs all freaky, their characters appearances/designs are extra weird. Originally, after all getting their own bodies, they all had white plastic robot bodies, all male design (which female player wasnât happy about because she missed her boobs). The only way to tell them apart was voice and the nervous doctor had given them different coloured eyes. Creating robots came with the challenge of figuring out how their bodies worked (one player was particularly interested in this). Once again inspiration partly came from the Kara demo, the robots are a water (blue liquid) based system, a pump (heart) transports water, which is collect in bags (lungs) through the robots absorbing moisture in the air (through breathing), around the machine frame (body). The water has two purposes, to thinly coat the white plastic casing (skin), which allowed the robot to feel pressure but not texture and also to keep the pump valves going, which creates the energy the machines (players) are run on. After learning that the white plastic version could be easily broken during training, the nervous doctor created a second batch of models, this time made out of metal (female asked for a female body and therefore the doctor gave her a large dent in her chest plate, she was pleased). They then get a new model, ones that are designed to blend in with humans. And this is where this section gets super freaky. The player got no say in how they looked because in game they wouldnât.Â
The female is the shortest model as well as they palest model with loads of freckles, the similarities with Kara stop there but the female player has been gifted a female kitten (thankfully named Cookie, not Alice) as the reward and is quite paranoid about it being taken off her or harmed (calm down, I havenât hurt the cat...yet).Â
One of the males is only slightly more tanned than the female with considerably less freckles and markings. Heâs the tallest and the player has been surprisingly obedient, only "failingâ when he doesnât understand whatâs happen or doesnât think something will benefit HYDRA. Because of this heâs been promoted to team leader by the powers that be. Heâs logical and is usually thinking about training and whatâs going on in the NPCsâ heads.Â
Lastly we have the second male who looks southern European (Spain, Italy, Greece and could probably pass as Mexican but the story is set in central Europe) so a different ethnicity/race to the other two. This is the rebellious player who generally plays pranks, cracks jokes and says âfuck youâ to authority. Like I said before as a result, he tends to be the one looked down on and oppressed by the powers that be. He generally has a very clear line which he wonât cross no matter what and is willing to stand up if he views something as drastically wrong (refused to hurt his friends or pick up a gun).
Also when asked what they wanted to be called (I.e Whatâs your name?) The players decided to to sick to what the nice nervous doctor had designated them, i.e the colours of their eyes. Rebellious is Red. Logical is Blue and Female is Purple (name later changed to Violet).
Next is three more NPCs, who have enough in common with the DBH characters to mess with me.Â
The nervous doctor, Dr. Thomas Thornley, while having a completely different personality, has formed relationships like Hank. A number of the players refer to him as âDaddy Thornleyâ, not to his face but when talking to each other in game. And most disturbingly the rebellious player has implied on several occasions that he âshipsâ the logical male player with father-figure Thornley, jokingly of course. And while in the beginning Thornley may have viewed the robots as a project or experiment, he now appears quite protective and fond of them. Even displaying discomfort when one is broken or completely destroyed.Â
Their combat and gun trainer, Agent Woodrow who is ex-military and treats the robots exactly like youâd expect he would, like machines. He could either be Gavin or Captain Allen but either way heâs a genuine aggressor and dislikes/hates the robots.Â
The Head of Hydra, Director Malachi Storm who has an air of mystery around him and commands any room he enters. Heâs considerable less creepy than Kamski but is an âall-knowing, all-powerfulâ character. Also I guess Iâm technically also Elijah Kamski (a.k.a GOD) and my players pointed out that i have his sadistic, power hungry play style (thanks, guys).
Lastly is a few game mechanics and events i put in the game. The players have always been able to telepathically talk to one another, they can also transfer images to each other. If broken beyond repair (i.e Killed) they now get automatically rebuilt, similar to Connor. I made LaRue give them a morality test which was mostly the âTrack dilemmaâ which is similar to both the driver-less car AIs and the Kamski test. I actually did the motherfucking Kamski test with one or two of my players (but with humans instead of androids lol). Also the players believe theyâre alive (which technically they are). Theyâve literally been give zero context as to how they are in robot bodies in the MCU, specifically theyâre last memories before the start of the game are of going to sleep in their beds in the real world. They are literally three robots walking around stating that theyâre alive.Â
And yes, I realise that Cage took shit from other movies but it have seen any of those movies so...:P
If I looked hard I could probably find more scary comparisons but a) I donât particularly want to show all my cards, in case my players read this post, and b) I appear to have written a fucking TED talk out of what was supposed to be a short funny story.Â

Blooming
âOh Duskmother is training going to be a failure today,â sheâd muse with a little grimace.  Picking up her beloved stuffie, Mr. Onion and her linkpearls, sheâd gingerly walk herself back to her bed and plop herself down upon it, her silken robes puddling around her sheâd pull the pillow Shiro slept on still scented with his dusky rose cologne, hugging it tight as she flopped over onto her tummy. Kicking her legâs playfully in the air, sheâd ring her sister on her link pearl.
Ayla hearing the ring on the pearl, would put her blush wand down, and pick up, âHi Rose.  Whatâs up?â  Returning to her makeup. listening in, expecting to hear more about the marvels of ice cream or her training with Lord Shiro sheâd almost stab herself in the eye as a very cross, indignant voice rang out, âYou should have told me you erased everything left from Toriko!  Duskmotherâs sake Ayla!  I didnât ask for myâŠ..flower back, just the tattoo gone what even possessedâŠ.I didnâtâŠ.the sheets...I...Ayla!â
Unable to help it Ayla would burst into laughter on the other end.  Partially from being found out, partially from Roseâs indignation and partially because she could already deduce what happened.  Deciding not to explain herself for the moment, sheâd instead ask in a voice oozing in smugness, âSoâŠ.how was your evening with Lord Chilly-pants?â Adding to her taunt, âIt was Lord Chilly-pants right? You didnât get so desperate I have to worry about like pulling Hankâs featherâs out of you now I hopeâ
âAyla!â  a low growl heard on the other end as Ayla returned to putting on her mascara, huffing a soft chuckle that she was able to once again fluster her younger sister. âAyla, I swear...one dayâŠâ sighing and collecting herself, Roseâs voice softening, âYes I spent my evening with Lord Shiro, and I was already not prepared enough without your curve ball being stacked upon it all.  Oh gods am I soreâŠ.â
The elder sisterâs voice softening on the other end, âRose. Â Sore is part of it, sorry to say. Arenât you a warrior? Â Think of it as battle or training. Â Youâll get better, and your body will catch up I---Duskmother Rose, I healed back your mantle but you should know all this. Â Didnât it get easier with Shinji? Â I mean I canât imagine he was the gentlest partner sweetie.â
Her cheeks flashing hot sheâd chew on one pausing before answering, âThe only time Shinji was super rough was when he forgot he missed a step or twentyâŠ.and well I wasnât expecting THAT part of me to be used.   That hurt.  And Shiro didnât hurt me oh Duskmother!  What kind of monster do you even think he is?!â
âWellâŠ.â her sisterâs voice trailing off as she thought sheâd offer quietly, âA monster that did hunt my husband and originally more or less kill himâŠ..twice.  Buuuuuuut, I still trust him...now.  Not with my husband, but with you, sure.â Giggling on the other end of the pearl, âRose, other than being pissed at me for restoring any sign of Calar, how are you?â
Her voice filled with shy excitement, âOh, I am perfect!  I am only not with Lord Shiro right now because itâs morning and he has business to attend to and I still need to take my bath and eat breakfast.  We have training later thoughâŠ.â her words pausing, when sheâd next speak the awe would still be palatable, âAyla.  He turned into a dragon.  Well, grew scales and wings and a tail like one and I think I almost passed out right there.  I mean, I already canât stand near him without feeling flustered but when he transformed and had shimmering scales all over him, I swear I thought he was Azim brought back to this world and I about passed out! If his dragon cry didnât cause my horns such painful ringing I probably would have.â
Giggling on the other end as she could hear the eager excitement and awe in her sisterâs voice sheâd also be taking note as she did not know Shiro had such powers, but Rose was not one to be false. âI would have loved to have seen your face. Â He turned into a dragon in the bedroom though? Â Dear sister, Iâm all for people doing their thing, but that seems an odd way to start off.â
Gasping sheâd realize she hadnât been clear and Rose would giggle too, âOh Duskmother NO! In our training that morning.  He wanted me to use my full power against him and try to at least outlast...I almost did it too, but,â sheâd growl in soft playful frustration, âHe got me againâŠ.ice cube.  Always ice cube or ice prison.  I even know itâs coming and still canât get the better on him!â Laughing âBut oh gosh no.  Last night was just handsome Lord Shiro with me in my Cabin.  And aside from my not knowing about your little healing stunt, it was perfect.â Realizing that Shiro had said nothing to her even in the morning about it, sheâd chew her cheek and look down at her diamond ice bracelet, âThough I donât know what Lord Shiro even thinks now about my prior life or experience.  He, as he usually is, was the perfect gentleman and did not even mention it or ask. So...thanks for giving me that awkward worry.â
Shaking her head, sheâd shush her sister calmly on the other end, âRose. Â It does not matter. Â Even if you were as experienced as my husband last night, and the signs clear, it does not matter. Â What matters is that you do what your heart wishes. Which leads to me being the big butt hole of a sister right now, but did you do that? Or did you feel you had to?â Â Waiting for her sisterâs reply, Ayla would take a deep breath, her fingers tracing along her own collar hoping her Sister had learned these past cycles and that she was now only making choices she wanted, not what she thought others wanted for and of her. Â She already felt she knew based on past talks with Rose about Shiro, but now seemed the best time to ask the young woman her thoughts.
âOh gosh yes!  If anything, my heart was thanking secretly like every deity ever worshiped.  I mean, I still donât know how to show him that...nor am I brave enough.  And I still worry Iâm severely out classed and outsmarted.  He is so fancy and brilliant and I am well...I still have tribal furs in my closet.  But I have fought every urge I have to not just wrap my arms around him and not let go for moons nowâŠ.even in my dreams I was fighting that.  No.  I very much did what my heart wanted.  And I believe what his heart needed as well.  He...he asked if Iâd be his Lady. Stay with him even after this war is over.  I donât know what a Lady exactly is to a Lord, but he scoffed when I asked if it was like Pet.  Said heâd never call me a pet...kinda seemed aghast Iâd even think such a thing.  I just thought it was the word for mate you know?â  Huffing a little happy sigh, âBut yes sweet overprotective Sister, I am making the choices I want to make, and while I donât know what happens next anymore than anyone else does, I know he cares for me back.  Everything is just so much more...tender...even when heâs trying to teach me something.â
Hearing Rose state and be sure of herself was a happy blessing in itself to the elder sister.  Still not wishing to get too dotey or serious sheâd hum a soft laugh back, âWell the family harvest celebration table just got a lot more ...weird.  We women, we all get along great.  You, me Moli...but the menfolkâŠ.ever loving Duskmother.  I still havenât told Captain what Sha did to me exactly, because Iâd like Sha to live another day...maybe even two.  And Well Shiro and Captain, itâs progress they arenât trying to slay each other anymore and weâll leave that at that.  But it seems, my baby sis, little miss, âscales are a mark of warrior handsomenessâ has fallen in love with a furrball.â
Aylaâs joy over pointing out the irony of Roseâs disdain for Kuro having fur now that she too was paired with a Miqo'te, palatable, Rose would scoff, âYours is still a furrball. Â Mine is a king.â
Chuckling a little at her sister who she was pretty sure had no real memory of the chaos of the White Draco affair, âYou have no idea.â Her voice softening as their conversation was winding to a close, âRose. I am happy for you.  Despite the bickering you may see between him and me, Lord Shiro has proven himself a good, honorable man.  Just...donât ever forget you have  a voice.  A purpose.  He cherishes you as you are.  And if that ever changes, then he isnât deserving of you anymore.  But...if I had to guess, thatâs not something youâll have to worry about.â
âI know sis...you can stop momming me now.  And Iâll tell him I love him one dayâŠ.justâŠ.I am not sure how nobles do that.  Iâd like for at least one moment not to be my tribal fumbling self blurting out my thoughts.â  giggling, âBut he keeps turning into dragons and oh Duskmother those kisses...I am not going to be able to stop myself.â  Looking up and realizing the time, âI should go though.  Training is in less than a bell and I need to be cleaned and fully armored ready to goâŠ.â  Pausing, before hanging up, âAyla?â
âYes Rose.â
âThank you for healing away Calar.â
âYouâre welcome Rose, but you did most of the work, I just removed the scars. Â Go catch up to your lessons and your Furball. And stay safe.â
âYou too.â Â Hanging up the call, sheâd hug Shiroâs pillow once more and take a deep sighing breath, parting with a smile, ready to set out on a new journey.
