Future Writing Plans

It’s still like a week out from releasing the final chapter, but I’m beginning to write the end message which… Well, I’m not entirely sure whether I’ll manage to finish it. We’ll see.

This is an update about my writing plans—both in general and also what comes next for The Sea Never Dies series. Because there is an after. Of course there is, I can’t seem to let Toru and co. go. Hopefully that’s for the better.

Writing Plans & Projects

The Sea Never Dies has been one of my main projects for a long period of time now. However, I will be turning my attention elsewhere for the next… next something. I’m not sure how long it’ll be. It depends on when I finish it and what happens in life, I guess.

If you weren’t already aware, I generally write two “main” projects at the same time (for given meaning of main), and I’m hoping to have one editing project on the side. But we’ll get to that. I usually have one fanfiction-based project and one project for original works.

Currently, my main original project is actually me rewriting a first draft of a series. It’s been a lot of fun so far. I’ve actually written this before, like I mentioned. It features three stories each from a dragon’s POV (point of view). The focus is on the dragons, but it also features a war and the loss of the good guys, focusses on reclaiming culture/life in a way and learning to live despite what happens. The first drafts are floating around and I have a habit of avoiding them now that I’ve read through them and edited them (trust me, that took a while). I’m only a few chapters into writing it, but I’m having a lot of fun and am very excited to hit the main plot shortly!

My fanfiction-based project is technically a half-rewritten Harry Potter fic! I wrote a few chapters before I went back to the drawing board with it, and fleshed out the plot and the world building. It’s going to only be one book and I’ve got a good idea where it’ll be going. For those interested, it’s called Not A Hero and will feature the Slytherins, starring Blaise as the POV character for the most part, but will contain various other Slytherins as major characters. The main idea is that the Slytherins are more than they appear and they’re not simply Death Eaters, but they’re kids. More than that, though, they’re kids forced into a war. So this kind of focusses on what the Slytherins could have been.

For those curious about smaller projects, the kind of works that come out of nowhere and are unplanned... Those will definitely still exist! Obviously, it’s a bit challenging because they’re unplanned to the extreme, but they do pop up. This includes fics from random fandoms - might be Naruto, Harry Potter, Julie and the Phantoms, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and so forth. It could also be an original work. These range from a few hundred words to like 20,000. I never know where the work will finish.

(There’s currently an Orochimaru fic in planning stages that will not be a long fic but will be written. And I’m bound to do more little scenes and ideas if people throw them at me, not to mention sometimes I come up with ideas myself.)

Tl;dr My next two projects will be writing an original work involving dragons and a Harry Potter fic, but you can expect some random works that are shorter throughout all of this.

The Sea Never Dies – What Happens Now?

(Updated ‘what’s going on’ post.)

What does happen now? It’s definitely a good question. As far as the fics up on AO3 are concerned, I’m going to eventually edit those works and upload the edited versions. This will likely take a while because of what I’m planning to do next.

So, The Sea Never Dies has been a lot of fun. I’ve had a ball creating it but there’s also the whole actual Naruto canon to deal with, which was considerably less fun. A while ago I started thinking, what if I originalised The Sea Never Dies? What if it became magic and fantasy and, well, a bunch of other things too. I’m still figuring it out.

Ultimately, I’m going to edit The Sea Never Dies with the idea to write down plots, characters, things I want to include, and so forth. Eventually, I’ll plot it out as an original work but it’ll be different to what it was. I’m going to remove arcs and characters and villages, add in magic and change abilities and rewrite motivations. It’ll be a lot of fun and I’m kind of excited and also somewhat intimidated by it. If you’re interested in keeping up to date with that, I’ll definitely be mentioning it over on my writing server and probably will write a few updates on here as well.

Tl;dr I’m going to write an original work/series heavily based on The Sea Never Dies. I’ve already got a few ideas for it and it’s very exciting.

South African Class Contradictions

We have surely become a people who write, but we cannot trace the effect of this writings. Many young people who lived before us, generations that exist among ours today, and probably that which will come tomorrow will rely on writing as a forum to unlimited expressions in modern day.

We are a people concerned about popularity of others and contest one another's essence of opinion on the basis thereof. South Africa listens to the most popular voices, not the correct voices. If it was a genuine rhythms of liberation that we had been listening to over 26 years, I'm sure we would have been the greatest musicians.

Our call of awakening today is a racial struggle between the Boar and Black people. The racial debacle is short nothing of a history of absolutism and conquering of a dispossessed indigenous Black people in Africa. All racial misconceptions and the booming level of antagonistic propensities from the white community is evident in the the factual and tasteful history of Land dispossession.

Lest we forget that irreconcilability of the two main domains of contradiction (class) is circled around Land and nothing else. Economy and Politics, including the Administration-Politics Dichotomies are well vested in a plan which is being executed, more than it is about who holds economic power today.

Maybe, the consequence is an orchestrated conundrums which must deprive off Black people a chance to refer to what is a Constitution, so-to-speak. South Africa has experienced the most brutal cases of racism in the recent moments, with the international struggle reshaping to the misdemeanor of Black life, hence the inception of Movements like #BlackLivesMatter. Save to mention the ills and disillusioned theories of a reconciliation nation which reconciled through a Commission.

It is critical to view all this contrasts as phases of the struggle for Land repossession. There is no genuine liberation of a people by their oppressor who oppressed them. There can never be a reconciliation between the oppressor and the oppressed. The only introductory thing is that Land must be repossessed.

Many who had the opportunity to grapple with real confrontations would explain that there is no reconciliation without the praxis of originalisation. If the originalisation of Land ownership does not happen, we need to stop speaking about the class contradiction in Azania as a hatred from whites against the Black Azanians.

White people have not shown any remorse ever since their occupation. They have well executed the maintenance of Black slavery and servitude. Be it one is employed or not, the little salaries that have divided our people, the flawd legal system and labor, the imbalance of force of the health system generally, failure to integrate Private Healthcare with Public Health, failure to integrate into Public Safety Issues and save to mention curtailing a strategic plan of action against such pundits.

What makes and sums up our history as a people, remain the Land question, to whom for the longest of time a responsibility for Repossession had been put in the hands of a failed African National Congress. The rise of liberation movements, the awakening and deliberate rebellion of the army wing of a ruling party gives direction to the inevitable questions which have been long ignored.

Who is in charge of Azania, if army can take up against its own government? Who stands to benefit from the ANC's refusal to repossess Land to its rightful owners? Many people have suffered and used their experience as a ladder for self enrichment. The malice of all being to leave economic ownership in the hands of the oppressor and singing reconciliation with a short memory to the creator of all battles. Time to rely on the wisdom of claimant struggle stalwart is over, today's suffering dictates for an immediate action against such oppression.

And before I finish, I must state outright that I have no confidence at all in the ANC. I have my utmost confidence in youth of Azania who must stand up. It does not have to be Free State and Western Cape, it was Gauteng schools, Limpopo, it happens literally across the Land. Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Mamaolo, Seleteng, Setswetla, Alexandra, GA-Maja, the list can be endless, have significantly displayed unpleasant and unhealthy, unbearably bespectacled violence where youth easily kill one another.

A passive line being survival, the youth perpetuating the cause is a youth growing in the misguided ANC homes, transcend to party politics and learn no principle for the revolution. The epoch is quite unfragmented, Fees Must Fall, Rhodes Must Fall and now Gender Based Violence. All this have proved to be movements of tears from Black communities rather than being able to point at any achievement for the better preparation and liberation of our people.

I will conclude by saying, be it our conquest discouraging our parents, we have nothing to loose and we have no significance to continue existing if ours, as have been, is to outlive same. This is a deliberate reminder that no matter how immune to oppression we want to be, we can go around the whole country voicing out violence fabricated and executed by white oppression, but for so long we do not kill the power posture of Azania to be back in the hands of its people, we stand no progressive chance.

Racism as we know it, but, must not be a card to rise above voices that have no popularity on the cause. It is for this reason that Black people have no choice, but to fight for freedom and to understand that there is no value in their life without their significant ownership of their rightful Land. Until we repossess Land, racism will remain a topic irritating many.

oh this makes me feel so much better because there was a period of time i was applying to a creative arts programme which demanded a portfolio of original works and i didnt have enough of that so i took some fanfic and 'originalised' it and it was so difficult to 1. find fics that could have any hope of being disconnected from canon and 2. do the disconnection and well i still feel a bit shit about not being able to do og fic but at least i know the fanfic was good

actually, no, i do have something to add. if your work of fanfiction can be easily rebranded and sold as original fiction, then it was never good fanfiction in the first place—and, in all probability, it won’t make for good original fiction either. i have a lot of love and respect for all kinds of derivative works (unsurprisingly, considering my perennial love affair with postmodernism), but i also believe that the superior fics are the ones that actively and continuously engage with their source material (and so it wouldn’t be possible for anyone to scratch their serial numbers off without damaging their integrity). something something mutualism (the derivative work deconstructing and expanding on the source material and so keeping it alive) as opposed to parasitism (thinking you can simply lift your blorbos wholesale and run but failing to realise that uprooting them from their respective stories will render them but a shadow of a reflection of their original selves).

Dans Sources of the Self7 Taylor entreprend une recherche philosophico-historique sur le « moi » occidental à travers les diverses configurations dont il fait l'objet à l'époque moderne. Cette enquête sur la modernité — avec ce qu'elle comporte de conflictualité — porte notamment sur l'éclatement des identités à travers les processus de sécularisation (ne pas confondre avec le concept proche de désenchantement du monde développé par Weber), la généralisation de la « vie ordinaire », les conceptions divergentes de l'idée de nature, la multiplication des discours moraux et le phénomène du modernisme et des avant-gardes artistiques.

Cette hétérogénéité est constitutive d'une identité, d'un mode de vie dont nous sommes les héritiers quoi qu'en disent les penseurs « postmodernes » qui appréhendent le monde contemporain dans l'optique d'une rupture, d'un épuisement des discours de légitimation (idéologies). Malgré l'épuisement des « grands récits », un humanisme « exclusif » (sans référence à une transcendance, donc sécularisé) subsiste à travers la vie culturelle, sociale ou politique.

La crise de légitimation entraîne un passage de la conciliation des identités à travers l'idéologie (qui correspond à une première phase de la modernité) à une exigence de reconnaissance intersubjective des identités. Du discursif, du culturel, du politique, on passe à un niveau moral, pratique. Les différences, les égalités, les cultures ou les nations sont souvent enfermées dans des cadres formels ; les identités (et la modernité elle-même) ne peuvent être comprises de façon unitaire et ne répondent pas à une définition, à des valeurs et des principes stables. C'est pourquoi la question de la reconnaissance s'impose pour légitimer les conduites et leur donner un sens qu'il faut renouveler constamment en posant la question de l'universalisme.

Face à la tentation communautariste (de repli relatif), il défend l'universalisme, avec toutes les difficultés que cela représente :

tant pour l'individu moderne qui doit échapper au piège de l'hédonisme qui fabrique des différenciations tribales en quelque sorte, sans véritable « originalisation »,

que pour un peuple, une nation, une communauté qui doit faire face au double enjeu d'éviter l'écueil du repli identitaire et de garder son originalité.

A l’approche des soldes ( oui oui , a la Réunion les soldes commencent le 4 Février ! ) ou si vous souhaitez faire dès maintenant du shopping en ligne . Je vous ai dénichée les Tendances du moment ! Celle que l’on retrouve aussi bien chez les Influenceuses que chez les maisons hautes coutures . 

Les Matières tendances ?

Alors pour commencer , on a la Résille qui est la Tendance du moment , on a pas pu passer à coté , elle a été visible un peu partout que ce soit sur les Réseaux Sociaux ou autre . Elle se décline en plusieurs modèles et en plusieurs types de vêtements . On l’a vu tout d’abord en chaussette.C’est dans ce type de vêtement qu’elle a été le plus vu . Porté avec des baskets c’est super tendances ( comme les Old Skool , hum..petit indice pour le prochain article )après pour les filles moins streetwear , les résilles peuvent également se porté en collant ( la base quoi ) avec des robes , des shorts,des jupes …

Mais aussi avec des pantalons troués puisque le collant va avoir un effet de “cache-trou ” qui peut être très sympa ,puisque cela créer un effet de transparence et de superposition entre les vêtements que l’on porte et notre peau . Je trouve que la Résille est vraiment le must-Have du moment puisqu’elle  originalise véritablement une simple  tenue . 

  Ensuite une autre matière qui est toujours présente : Le Velours . On retrouve cette année , beaucoup de velours dans les nouvelles collections alors autant vous dire si vous  trouvez des articles de cette matière soldés alors allez-y foncer tète baissée.

        Le choix de vêtements en velours est très varier , il est présent aussi bien sur les hauts , les joggings , les robes , les bombers , etc . Du velours y’en a partout ! On le retrouve aussi bien chez les hommes que chez les femmes Mais également sur les chaussures dont les plus connus sont les Velvet Creepers de Puma by Rihanna . Les pièces sont tellement nombreuses que je suis sûre que vous en trouverez dans vos magasins préférés . 

  Les Vêtements tendances ? 

Après avoir les matières que vous pourrez retrouvés dans n’importe quelle pièce de vêtements . On passe aux vêtements qui reste un choix moins large mais dont la pièce peut égaillé une tenue ou tout simplement faire son petit effet qui ne vous laissera pas passer inaperçu et ça on aime plutôt bien . 

Les Jupes . On la vu celle-ci se décline en plusieurs modèles , qui pourra plaire à tous le monde . On a notamment la Jupe Trapèze que l’on retrouve dans nos magasins petit un petit peu de temps . C’est une jupe qui fait très casual et qui est présente dans les tenues plutôt du jours , qui peut être aussi bien porté avec des petites sandales , que des tennis etc. C’est une jupe plutot simple mais qui possède quand meme des détails fort sympathique . En effet , la jupe trapèze se décline en deux types de fermeture soit en boutonnage ( comme la photo ) soit en zippe qui viennent coupé la jupe en pleins milieux  et qui pourrait l’aider à devenir  un indispensable . Coté tissus , cette jupe se retrouve en plusieurs style que ce soit en broderie , unis , à motifs ,etc qui plaira à chacune . 

On a aussi la jupe vinyle ,cette matière  a été très présente sur les défiles , on a pu la retrouvé dans les  collections de Jean-Paul Gauthier ,Louis Vuitton ,etc .Mais la plus célèbre des jupes en vinyle  reste la jupe en vinyle d’Isabel Marant  ( photo ci-contre) .

Ce style de jupe outre la matière qui est mis en avant , elle  reste une jupe assez simple mais qui néanmoins reste assez absent en magasin ce qui je trouve est plutôt dommage mais j’ai pu quand même vous en dénicher sur certains sites comme : Mango , Missguided ou encore Topshop .  C’est une jupe facile a porté et qui marquera les esprits .

Les Robes Caraco .

Elles ont fait fureur et on pourrait se demander si c’est pas dépasser . Et bah non , elles sont toujours d’actualité que ce soit avec un t-shirt  ou seul . La robe caraco se retrouve partout et de toutes les façons que ça soit le type de tissus , le type de motifs ou de longueurs on en trouve forcément  pour son compte .

    Le Bomber est la pièce qui va mettre tous le mode d’accord , hommes et femmes confondues .

On l’a aimé en 2016 et on l’aime toujours en ce début d’année 2017 ! Et comme la robe caraco , on retrouve le Bomber sous différentes formes : en satin , brodés , reversible …Le bomber vous en avez à toutes les sauces et vous trouverez obligatoirement votre bonheur !
