Me and my Husband made some ocs and then we made some kids for those ocs and now that I've drawn them I might be maybe thinking of making a story for them-

The concept for a story if I were to make one for this little family is a bunch of monsters and one human getting up to shenanigans in a world that's very victorian steampunk fantasy setting

Think addams family with less modern suburbs and less murderous tendencies

Introducing the Vincente family, in order we have from left to right

Andrew, Chima, Emrys, Pluto, Vesper, Mo, Clover, and Clementine

Here's some character info in order of age

Chima: A vampire who's been around a long time that loves making clothes for their children and playing dress up with them

Emrys: A werewolf inventor that is full of golden retriever energy, he has very bright mind that can sometimes be overshadowed by his heart

Andrew: A human boy recently adopted by a vampire and werewolf that still doesn't know how he fits in with this chaotic family

Clover: a swamp creature with a frog like appearance, don't let his size fool you, this kids got a lot of spunk if you go looking for it

Clementine: a werewolf with a sweet bubbly pink personality Clementine is a little daddy's girl and proud of it

Vesper and Mo: twin sirens with a knack for land. While Vesper struggles to walk on land that's never stopped her stubbornness from getting her way, her sister Mo is always ready to run around and cause some mischief when an opportunity arises

Pluto: a minotaur baby, the youngest in the family that's got everyone's hearts wrapped right around his fingers

I really love these guy's and I hope you do too even if I end up never doing anything with them :)

Original heaven concept by little ol' me!!

okay so recently I binged the entirety of good omens and thought "hey wouldn't it be so cool if I made my own version of heaven for AU's and stuff" so here we are.

The social hierarchy and wing clipping.

there is no such thing as hell. hell is a myth used to scare human children into behaving. Heaven has no need for hell due to them already having their own method for punishing angels that disrupt the flow of things.

the punishment is clipping the offenders' wings.

because, you see, angel feathers don't grow back. when an angel's wings are clipped, they lose their ability to fly.

flight, for angels, is a sign of holiness, purity and all that good stuff. So, when an angel's wings are clipped, they fall significantly down the social higharchy.

Shunning and mistreatment of other angels would usually get you in big trouble, but clipped angels are the exception. this is why hell does not exist. the true punishment is being hated.

The amount of wing clipped depends on the crime. Partial clips are for lesser crimes while full clips are for the relatively bad ones.

of course, crimes in the context of heaven are things that would be very minor on earth. like lying, questioning gods will, jealousy ect.

Fae / Faeries

Even though hell doesn't exist, angels still have enemies. and Faeries are one of them.

Fae live on earth. they have no rules, and just do whatever they want. most the time, they cause chaos. they love messing with humans, but they especially love messing with angels whenever they happen to be performing any sort of earthly duties assigned to them.

The fae also believe in wing symbolism. their wings, to them, are a sign of freedom. but angels think that their bug-like wings are dirty and impure.

Humanity and the afterlife.

since hell doesn't exist, humans are resurrected. if the person who died was good, they are resurrected into a more well-off body (born into wealth, no disabilities or illnesses etc.) and the opposite for those who were bad.

but there is a special exception to people who were, well, exceptionally good. their soul is taken from the loop, and they become angels, they will just have no memory of their human life.

a few more important details i should mention

Angels all have jobs to do. high angels lead the bigger jobs, like creating things. things like new planets, animals, and even new angels. sometimes they will let normal angels work with them, as helpers. clipped angels still have the jobs that normal angels have, they just aren't allowed to work with high angels.

Baby angels don't exist. Angels are created for a purpose, so it wouldn't make sense for them to need to develop physically or mentally. this also means that angels don't reproduce and are completely asexual. (This means they don't have sexual organs either. built like a ken doll.)

even though faeries don't follow any rules, its relatively frowned upon to befriend an angel.

angels and fae can both shapeshift, they just have a main form they stick to for comfort purposes.

an angel's wings are a permanent part of their form, which means they can't shapeshift them to be normal if they are clipped. they can hide them though. this doesn't apply to fae.

angel wings are ALWAYS white. fae wings can be any color as long as they still are somewhat see-through. Fae wings can't be butterfly-ish or moth-ish, because the clear bug wing is a defining trait of a fae.

angels, from the moment they are created, are taught that sin is bad (duh) and that's mainly why clipped angels are hated, everyone is just brainwashed basically.

High angels often have another pair of smaller, decorative wings somewhere on their body to show their status. the more wings, the more important they are. If the angel has to get its wings clipped, the extra pair of wings are simply removed. this leaves a scar.

Fae kind of just come from the ground, while Angels are sculpted from clay. (so technically they both come from the ground) When an angel's form is completed, holy water is dumped on the statue to bring it "to life" (important note, holy water can only be created by god)

Angels bleed grey, like watered down clay. if an angel loses a limb, it can be reconstructed with clay. holy water must be dumped onto the limb once it's attached for it to, well, not be clay anymore.

Since angels are sculpted, limbs or new wings must be attached by scoring the area first (scoring is a pottery thing. its where you have to scratch up the parts of the clay you want to attach something to so the clay sticks better).

Dragon lore from my story!

All dragons have two forms, beast and humanoid. The beast form is the one they take usually. Humanoid form is only taken when one is threatened or wants to deceive it's prey.

Some dragons are hatched with conditions that make them unable to change their form.

They live from 300 to 2000 years, depending on the species and environment.

Dragons usually eat all kinds of raw meat (other than earth dragons, who are half-herbivorous). Different types have different hunting strategies.

Dragons are highly intelligent creatures. Their only weakness is treasure, which they horde in their nests.

Although they are very territorial and don't make herds, some species can mate for life.

In order to get a mate, the dragons give out courting gifts, such as coins, gems or food. If accepted, they take it to the nest. If the gift is not accepted, the giving dragon hisses at the potential mate to chase it away.

Once the courting is finishing, they stay together forever.

During a lifetime, the average dragon has only four offsprings, which means the hatchlings are taken care of very good.

Sometimes, two dragons can be hatched from one egg. Such occasions are treasured by their parents.

Due to their intelligence dragons hide in their natural habitats, not caring for humans and their costums. However, if a human has something good to offer, they'll cave in.

Types of dragon:

Red dragons; lifespan of 1800 years, healthy dragons live up to 2000 years of age. They are huge, with four horns and beautiful, fiery red scales. They are the most dangerous and territorial species. Their diet consists of several bovians a day...sometimes a human if angered.

Water dragons; lifespan of 1200 years. Graceful and medium sized, similar in build to the Chinese loong. Their scales come in many shades of blues and greens, depending on the environment they were hatched in. Kindest to humans, some cultures worship them and they kindly help them, for example eating out predators to ensure their villages stay safe.

Gold dragons; lifespan of 1800 years. Slightly smaller than the red dragons. They're not dangerous and threatening as they're rather lazy. They longue around in their treasures all day, moving only to hunt for food. Legends say their golden scales have developed from spending so much time laying in their coin-filled nests.

Silver dragons; lifespan of 800 years. Graceful and beautiful. They're quite small in beast form, but they spend most of their time in humanoid form. With their long, beautiful silver hair and built bodies they deceive travelers. The best way to survive for an adventure who finds themselves 'courted' by a silver dragon is to let go of all their treasures and run away as fast as possible...unless they want to be eaten.

Ice dragons; lifespan of 300 years. They live the shortest due to the intense cold temperatures they live in. They're the only dragon species that is covered in fur instead of scales. The fur colour ranges from white to grey. They're the only species that isn't outright aggressive to one another, known for helping themselves hunt and such.

Earth dragons; lifespan of 1200 years. Masters of disguise. Their brown and green scales perfectly match the environment. An earth dragon can sit covered in dirt for years upon years without being noticed. They only wake up from their long slumbers to eat. Older dragons can sleep through 30 years without waking up. They're slightly smaller than the golden dragons, their size is caused by the odd eating habits.

There is only one human-dragon hybrid in the world...

Yandere!Academic Rival who always flaunts his perfect test scores in front of you just to see you go red in the face with barely restrained fury. He adores the way you huff at him, your lips pouting in such an adorable expression. The way you scream at him, claiming he must’ve cheated.

Of course, stealing answer sheets wasn’t necessarily cheating, it was just a little educational aid.

But you can never prove it which only makes you even more angry. Pushing your chest up against his and sending him a threat you probably had to spend all night rehearsing. He relishes in it. Knowing your threats are just for him. Your anger belongs to him and him alone. Just like the rest of you.

The rest of the school silently wonders how it’s always you two. Only you and him at the top. And when they look at the scores, everyone else seems so far behind.

He would, of course, do anything to remain your rival. There were no lengths he wouldn’t go. That includes hacking into the college’s database and personally lowering each and every other students grades. He couldn’t dare risk someone else becoming your rival. He wouldn’t just let you forget about him, after all!

But somehow, even with his subtle suggestions to the grade book, there’s someone who actually manages to rise through the ranks. Some pesky little nerd who’s aiming for his number one spot. Wanting to take his place in your life. In your heart. Oh well, he’ll just have to take care of him…

Especially when he sees how you treat the pathetic nerd. You don’t hate him at all. Instead you’re actually— nice to him. Why him?! What made him so special?! That nerd doesn’t know you, not like he does. He doesn’t push you to do better and be the best, not like he does. Compared to him, the nerd is nothing.

So why do you smile when you see him? Why do you laugh at his jokes? Those should be smiles aimed at him. You should be laughing at his jokes, even if they’re usually made at your expense. It’s all part of what makes you and him so perfect together.

He just has to show you that… That’s it! He’ll show you. Both of you.

The next day he sees you waiting in the hall, most likely looking for that nerd. It’s a waste of time. He won’t be coming. He saunters up to you instead, his chest tightening as you scowl at him instead of smile. That’ll all change soon. Still, he sends you his signature smug smirk, the expression a little tighter today.

“Looking for the nerd? It’s strange, I heard he suddenly transferred and just up and left school in the middle of the night,” he says smoothly as he corners you against the wall. His shoulders relaxing as you inhale shakily. A clear sign of your affections, he’s sure.

All while his scent flooding your senses will distract you from realizing any holes in his lackluster story. You really were so smart, perfect, and all for him.

“Guess he just wasn’t cut out for the competition,” he muses, pulling a kabedon on you as he rests a hand above your head, and absentmindedly picking dried blood out from beneath his fingernails.

Souls in the Sand: Concept Art

As I’ve mentioned here and there, I’ve spent the last two years developing an original story inspired by a small Origins+Empires server a few friends and I started planning. The more I developed plans for my empire to be a sprawling overgrown cityscape of ruins and stone framework inspired by the nether, the more I built up this backstory for the character I wanted to play, a small deerfolk boy named Esra. From there, and over months of working and reworking the story and its characters, I’m proud to say I’m coming up on a 100 piece gallery for my Masters Exhibition to display this story in the form of a song-inspired comic, titled: Souls in the Sand.

Over the next month and beyond the date of my exhibition in April, I wanted to start sharing my work here! I thought it would be fitting to first share all of the concept work I did for the characters last semester as I took each character from their old lineup and reworked them from scratch to see if there were any designs I could make more unique or appropriate for the story. This process consisted of four stages: silhouettes, full-body mock-ups, face and head shapes/designs, and experimenting with the final characters’ designs with a set of unique expressions that best fit their personalities and narrative role.

Since each character was reworked separately, the “new” concept lineup is a little disjointed (and some of the characters’ faces actually ended up different from their full-body designs), but I thought it would be fun to line them up to compare the overall cast to their old designs. With each character(s) I post the concept process for, I may share little bits of the work I’m doing or talk a little about their narrative roles as I go, but for now, have Esra!

I know I don’t post original work here often, but I wanted to share parts of this journey with you guys because it’s been very meaningful to me! And I hope all of the work I’ve been doing may at the very least serve as a bit of inspiration or encouragement for us to keep making silly minecraft stories, to keep drawing the characters we love, and to keep being creative in whatever way is meaningful! <3

It just occurred to me that I've never shown you guys any of my own stuff...

This is Vi. She lives on a small island in a solar punk meets cottagecore world. In between helping her family and neighbors keep their island home turning, she dives down to The Ruins and finds lost artifacts. Each one tells their own story.

Little does she know her world is a post-apocalyptic one. The sea levels rose 200 meters overnight in some unspecified or unknown disaster and everybody who needed to evacuate and survived doing so left for higher elevations. Vi's island has existed as an island for about three generations now (like her grandparents remember).

If I were to make this into a show it would be cozy and episodic, inspired by Yokohama Shopping Log, Abzu, Studio Ghibli's work, etc. There would be a cast of fun characters and personal stories about each artifact without much of an overarching story- just living life.

From a design perspective, her diving suit design is inspired by a Vaquita, the world's smallest and most endangered cetacean.

Man I don't know just had an idea for a scene between them and had to feverishly draw it before bed (it's four am). Lucanis and Noa share some coffee and there is a strange revelation of the status of their relationship! (AKA, when your stoic and watchful leader turns out actually likes having you around) Write up below the cut! (Also in ALT)

Warden Noa "Rook" Espinoza and Lucanis Dellamorte are having some coffee together, making light talk as they're both quiet people. We catch them mid-conversation. Lucanis: Ah, so we are close in age. It's strange to think we may have lived so close to the other. Lucanis: smiling nervously I find myself wondering if we would've liked each other, had we met. Noa: looks into her coffee No, probably not. Lucanis: A little hurt how easily she turns down the thought, he tries to smile through as if it didn't phase him Oh! Haha, maybe not. Noa: She turns to look at him, face remaining stoic I was different then, afraid and naive. Without my experiences, I could not be as I am now. It's the same for you. Noa: off-panel, continues I do not like imagining the road not traveled. Who you are now is enough for me. Why would I want anything different? Lucanis: is a bit unsure how to take her words, though he does understand them as kind Lucanis: He's silent a bit, overwhelmed by such a strong statement after such light conversations during their journey together thus far, but he accepts that this is just her way of thinking. Straight forward, strong, unrelenting. Clearly why she's survived as both a Grey Warden and a Mage. Thank you, Rook. I don't know if I'm a better man after all I've done, but I'm happy you will take me as I am. Noa: simply goes to sip her coffee I do. Lucanis: sighs a bit as he tries to figure out what their relationship actually is

Introducing: “Biohazard”

Hey guys! It’s a bit late at night, but as I said earlier here’s the special thing I was talking about! Me and @truths33k3r4 wanted to announce that we’re making a story together called Biohazard!

The story is about two brothers and their friends who live in an apocalyptic world being invaded by aliens and follows their adventures as they work to survive their ravaged world and maybe someday figure out how to end the seemingly hopeless war.
