deadspace remake or original
Oh god don’t do that to me
I love the original, because of nostalgia, and it really does stand as a really good game to this day
But the remake brought in features like flying in 0g that only came in with the second game. And obviously graphics I mean.
I really do like the side quests they added in the remake, really let’s you get to know the characters and the fact it can change dialogue even if it’s only slightly is just so cool
However the charm of Isaac never speaking in the original is something I do miss, I mean yea it was a LITTLE awkward at times but. Oh silent protag how cool you are
Ugh ok I guess I would choose remake, im sorry but the graphics and the scare ai and all the different dialogue recordings that change depending on Isaac’s status is just so cool
However over all dead space games im gonna go with dead space 2, not only did it bring in the idea of convergence being a thing with more lore surrounding the markers, but the larger necromorphs AND THE ADVANCED SUIT (my best friend) but I do miss the claustrophobic aspects of the og game but otherwise 10/10 SO GOOD

Okay so I played chapter 1 of dead space remaster last night here is the bulletpointa
- Isaac talks !!! AND he has a face !!!! Completely different from the faceless and voiceless we had in the original , but I understand why . He does show his face and speak in 2 and 3 , so they are open to playing around
- The voice acting is Good .. I am 99% sure it is a different voice actor for Isaac but he sounds Very similar ( if it Is the same voice actor then I am blaming my warping memory on this )
- DANIELS HAS A GIRLFRIEND . #LESBIANISM
- Fun that they give Isaac new lines and old lines from the original that belonged to the other characters , lines that he would say !! He’ s the ship engineer and specialist he would be the one yelling to go towards the blue light when the ship’ s gravity tethers go wonky
- I like his head … a lot of people didn’ t seem to like how they made him look but I think he still looks relatively similar ? Same people probably also got mad at the fact Nicole has wrinkles ( her deep smile lines ….. wah ) but also Isaac has brown eyes now and i’ ve never been more happy . + his brown hair having no grey Yet makes sense too … the one thing is his face is less round to me ? I wish they kept that
- Necromorphs scary
- They’ re quieter ? I swear they are . Yes they still make noise breaking from the vents but they don’ t make as many groaning / screaming noises while approaching .. either they did this to make it Worse or I need to play with the volumes again ..
- oh they also JUMP AT YOU . I do not remember any necromorph ( besides . The leaper . ) jumping. but imagine my terror when a slasher closes the gap between us ( while I am relearning controls ) by LUNGING . I do not remember that in ds1 at all I screamed a bit
- trying to remember combat triggers is worthless . I could play dead space 1 2008 with my eyes closed hardest difficulty front to back . Now , from minor encounter changes to the fact it has been … 2 years since I played a dead space game , longer since I played 1 , I am not a winner I am a loser
- playing with my little brother watching . He picks up on the fact that the necromorphs are the old crew . I tell them the dead do become the necromorphs we fight . He pauses . “ I had a bad thought … will Chen become a necromorph ? “ Chen died in the first encounter , and I tell him that it is possible ! Since there is a line about “ wearing my old face “ but I say it might take a bit before that happens
- The Kellion gets destroyed in a different manner ! Similar enough , but it was a fun new change ! Also Isaac’ s voice after losing the Kellion … my god . The voice actor is hitting it out of the water .
- it is cute Isaac takes his helmet off when he goes into the Kellion , idk how often he will take it off and on , but every so often is good and it is fun .. a nice way to show he feels safe
- He still has the horror protag hunch . I would have been so mad if he didn’ t
- talking with daniels and hammond , have to go to medical , find the captain . I’ m following the path I know is there . Hear a necromorph on the other end . Normal . “ Chen..? “ that’ s new . I look to my brother and he’ s wide eyed staring . I tell him he was right . He says he hates that . Very nice touch the necromorph that attacks Daniels and Hammond is Chen , adds a bit more to a scene that was already good on it’ s own
NEED to keep playing
#dead space#dead space 2023#2008 will always have a very special place in my heart but 2023 is doing pretty well

Dead Space 2 Live-Blog: COMPLETE
Chapter: Seven to Fifteen
Dead Space Complete Live-Blog: Click Here
Part 1: Click Here Part 2+3: Click Here Part 4-6: Click Here
Instead of summarizing the plot I'm going to break down my thoughts into different sections.
Horror to Action:
One big change from the original Dead Space to Dead Space 2 is that it's more of an action game than horror.
I saw someone online perfectly described it like this: Dead Space is like the movie Alien while Dead Space 2 is like Aliens.
I think the transition from horror to action was handled very well. All additions to the gameplay were EXTREMELY fun!! I especially like the hacking mini game, crawling through the vents and the multiple interactive cutscenes.
The original Dead Space is still my favorite, but Dead Space 2 is an AWESOME game!!! If you're interested in the Dead Space franchise I'd 100% recommend playing it!!!
LOOK HOW COOL THESE SCENES ARE!!!
Warning: Jumpscare
Characters:
Ellie Langford:
I think she's a great parallel to Isaac. Both being CEC workers who lost the people they cared about thanks to Necromorphs. I enjoyed her character, I felt bad when Nolan stabbed her eye out and I liked that she didn't let Isaac sacrifice himself.
I thought the callback to the original ending was great!
Dead Space Ending:
Dead Space 2 Ending:
Dead Space 3 Spoiler: I heard there’s a romance between Isaac and Ellie which is fineee. Don’t love the ship, but it's whatever.
Nolan Stross:
Nolan was my favorite new character and the one I have the most thoughts on. He is also a great parallel to Isaac. Both are victims of the Marker and EarthGov.
The entire game I was wondering why they experimented on Nolan, but it turns out you have to watch the animated movie Dead Space: Aftermath for that answer!
The reason EarthGov experimented on Nolan was because he had come in contact with a shard of the Red Marker. It's frustrating that information wasn't clearly explained in the game.
MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY DO I HAVE TO LEARN THROUGH A MOVIE THAT HE KILLED HIS WIFE AND CHILD BECAUSE THE MARKER MADE HIM HALLUCINATE THEY WERE NECROMORPHS!?!?!?
This line from a video log makes sense now:
Nolan: “ . . . it was just a shard -it was just a shard . . . but it put so much stuff in my head . . . so much . . . shit in my head . . . There's no more room . . . for anything. I can't remember what she looks like . . . Why can't I remember what she looks like?"
I feel like that's pretty relevant information to the story!!! Especially since it would've made the scene where Isaac kills Nolan in self defense hit WAYYY harder. Isaac understands how terrifying and realistic the hallucinations can be.
There's also the detail that the Marker amplifies violent thoughts. Explaining some of Nolan's behavior and why Isaac ended up killing Nolan when defending himself. I found it tragic that Nolan's death was how Isaac later figured out the final step.
One issue I have with Dead Space 2 is that the EarthGov experimented on them for over three years, but there's barely any data and text logs in the game about that.
I WANT MORE LOOK HOW SCARY THIS SHIT IS!!!
Shoutout to this reddit post for helping me understand: Click Here
I'm dying to know how Isaac reacted to his first session 👀 Look how terrified Nolan was just remembering them:
When I played the original Dead Space I took SO MANY notes after reading text and audio logs. However in Dead Space 2 they're severely underused.
The Marker:
Throughout Dead Space 2 the Marker is making Isaac experience horrific hallucinations. Constantly playing mind games with him in order to push Isaac into being able to finish the four steps.
Something we've seen Nolan discuss:
There's four steps:
Step One: Crawl inside the dark machine.
Step Two: The screws go tight all around.
Step Three: Cross my heart and hope to die . . . stick a needle in your eye.
Step Four: Acceptance
Nolan was unable to accept what he had done making reaching step four impossible. Also Nolan tried stabbing Isaac and Ellie in the eye so they could accomplish step three.
Isaac was able to reach step four by accepting Nicole's death and letting go of his guilt.
He laters stops the Convergence from happening. I'm still unsure what that exactly is . . . Dead Space 3 is suppose to explain that more. In the process Isaac destroys the Sprawl and new Marker.
Hans Tiedemann:
He's the main antagonist throughout Dead Space 2. Constantly trying to prevent Isaac from destroying the new Marker. I think he's a very weak villain. His goal is to preserve the Marker, because he believes humans are so close to figuring out how to control it. Tiedemann oversaw the experiments happening to Isaac.
Tiedmann: "I knew you were trouble from the start but they told me you were necessary. That your mind was the purest. I've spent years sifting through your demented brain this was not the way it was suppose to happen."
It's a huge shame though that there's no reports about this or flashbacks! Tiedemann feels like an obstacle not a threat.
I liked the detail that the Marker burned into his flesh the word PAIN:
Also Tiedemann reported to someone called the Overseer 👀
Daina:
She felt very pointless. I learned chapter five, which is the chapter she dies, is where the demo originally ended. It almost feels like they shoehorned her in for the demo. The first five chapter felt very separated from the rest of the story.
The Story:
I think Dead Space 2 is a wonderful game!!
The story is solid however I must admit I could care less about the EarthGov in Dead Space. It's a currupt government . . . nothing special. The most interesting aspect of the EarthGov is its conflict with the Church of Unitology. The Church sections were so beautiful and interesting. I want more of that and MORE LORE PLEASEEE I LOVE CORRUPT CHURCHES IN STORIES!!!!!
The Church of Unitology was so pretty look at these photos I got off the steam community page <3
Ranking: Gameplay 9/10, Horror 6/10, Story 7.5/10 and enjoyment 8.5/10.
I couldn't fit it into the review but it was super cool we got to go onto the Ishimaru again! Also that the EarthGov lied about what happened, claiming it was a terrorist attack.
#There's still a lot story wise I'm confused on but Dead Space 3 is supposed to answer that . . .#I'm probably going to wait to play Dead Space 3 until I read the comics and watch the movies.#Tw Needle#Needle#Tw Eye Injury#Tw Body Horror#Body Horror#Tw Gore#Gore#Tw Blood#Blood#Tw Flashing#Flashing#Tw Flash#MadisonPlaysDeadSpace2#Dead Space 2#Tw Loud#Loud#Tw Screaming#Screaming#Tw Eye#Eye#Eye Injury

"You're crazy, Hammond. You're gonna get us all killed!"
I was watching TheRadBrad's playthrough of the Dead Space cashgrab Remake, and as it approached the end, I think the biggest problem I had with it by far was how they handled Zach Hammond.
The big draw of the game is the fact that Isaac has a voice in the remake. Gunner Wright does an okay job. It's pretty much on par with his other two performances in DS2 and DS3. I'm so accustomed to Silent Isaac, though, that a lot of the dialog for him (in the beginning) feels like "self-insert" dialog. It gets better towards the end (like there's a genuine sense that they were finding Isaac's voice as they figured out how to make him a proactive character).
But, regarding Hammond: I don't quite know how to put it into words, but Remake Hammond's characterization lacks any charisma. He's bland as hell. Anthony Alabi's performance isn't bad, but the direction and writing doesn't hide his 'okay-ness' as an actor. The story really makes Remake Hammond feel like an inexperienced commanding officer. There's no sense of wisdom or situational control.
The caustic the dynamic between him and Kendra Daniels is erased entirely, and I hate that. It played a big part in how Hammond and Kendra were characterized.
In the absence of it, it makes Kendra cop-jacketing Hammond more suspicious than in the original, because it's lacking that conflict (and the implication that these two people don't like each other before being stuck on a ship full of undead monsters).
Even with as little you got to see him in the 2008 original outside of transmission cinematics, it was how Peter Mensah characterized him that seemed to make him extremely present in the story. How he talks about helping Isaac find Nicole, how he tries to keep his cool when dealing with Kendra and the Necromorphs. There's also that sense of arrogance that comes with a position like his, that you see in his clash with Kendra (who also has an arrogance about her).
You don't really get that dynamic with either Kendra or Isaac in the remake. DSR minimizes Hammond's role in the game, by, I guess 'mid-point', when Isaac has to deal with hydroponics and the USM Valor. This appears largely in favor of the Elizabeth Cross and Jacob Temple subplot, and more back-and-forth dialog between Isaac and Kendra.
One thing I actually liked about OG Hammond was how little the Marker appeared to influence him. If anything poised a risk to Hammond's life, it was the deadly environment of the ship and the Necromorphs. The latter literally rips him apart, but he's of sound mind when it's happening. It hurts to watch him die so violently, even with Silent Isaac's exaggerated grief (or non-reaction IIRC).
The remake tries to insert this relationship with red shirts named Chen and Johnston to flesh Hammond out as a character. This is a change I would've appreciated if Chen and Johnston survived beyond the opening gambit to actually earn the ending they give Hammond. But they don't.
Hammond basically speed runs Marker Madness toward the end of the game, and gets a silly sacrificial death scene that leans hard on a relationship type that was better established in Dead Space: Extraction with Nathan McNeil and Gabe Weller.
I think Peter Mensah did a lot with the little he was afforded. As one of the two primary speakers in the game outside of Tonantzin Carmelo (OG Kendra's actor), he communicated the tension created by the no-win scenario that was the USG Ishimura outbreak.
And about Kendra Daniels, I personally loved how abrasive she was in the original, but this iteration of Kendra isn't bad (Brigitte Kali Canales is definitely the strongest performer in the game). I actually enjoyed the dimensionality they gave her (particularly in her dynamic with Isaac), even if they made her the "Evil Lesbian". I just wish they hadn't removed the beef between herself and Hammond.
(As far as remakes go, DSR isn't bad. It's a different take on the Visceral Games franchise. Some of its ideas land better than others. It just has the shitty luck of being a EA property still.)

Parentage of the seven sisters = mystery
This huge contradiction in 5 season of “Samurai Jack” bothered and buffled me pretty long time. Genndy Tartakovsky in all interviews stated that the seven sisters are humans, and one of the main points in 5 season was exactly the fact that Jack kills exactly humans. But for some reason in 9 episode the sudden cliche happens, where the author and his team try to make Aku to be their father. Simple question — if Aku is allegedly their biological father (not even just a creator at best), then how they can be humans, if they are demonic mutants then? Might I remind you, that Aku is a supernatural, genderless, asexual and always lonely creature, who despises humans, other mortals and needs no one. Moreover, although I can easily debunk the perception of Aku as “irredeemable pure evil”, but if to consider this one-dimensional and absolutistic worldview of 5 season, it’s easy to not notice pretty hypocritical narrative “Aku is the evil and must be destroyed, because he was born from a part of the Absolute Darkness (then Aku was born that way and didn’t asked for this, he has no choice from the beginning, from the start of his existence, but nobody cares about this tragic aspect of the character — might I remind you that Jack’s father accidentally created Aku and rejected him, causing his aggressiveness; and Aku must be destroyed only because of his origin and nature/past, great — i.e. nobody cares about Aku’s tragedy), while the seven sisters are poor and innocent, they are not like their bad daddy, who even didn’t know about their existence, they are good even though they are born from a part of the evil (if Aku is the evil, then how he can beget/create a life? Moreover, the life, which can choose a path and be good-natured?)”. Another huge contradiction is the behavior of their fanatical mother. If to assume that her seven daughters are Aku’s, then why she was incredibly cruel to them instead of mad adoring and boasting? Why she never told to them, who their father is, and how he is awesome and hence they are awesome? Why she never claimed for Aku’s throne as a mother of his heirs? She sadistically abused her children psychologically and physically. She always referred to Aku as “OUR lord and master”, she told to her girls that they are (she, the cult and her kids) are just servants. Her daughters also referred to Aku only as to a deity. And they had no superpowers and no supernatural traits (they look like regular humans, they have red blood, they don’t feel pain during death of their other sisters, Aku’s blood doesn’t leave their corpses to return to Aku, Aku’s blood doesn’t transform their corpses into some necromorphs also, animals don’t show fear or aggressiveness toward them, while they did it toward Aku and infected Jack). Then what a hell is going on?! The funniest thing is that this “twist” is absolutely impossible, if you remember the canon of the classic four seasons. Aku’s blood is deadly and poisonous, it easily melts a metal and iron, it absorbs a living being from inside and kills. Shortly saying, Aku’s blood would kill this fanatical mother and her daughters, i.e. absolutely no “hybridization” or giving superpowers or whatever. This guy worked with Tartakovsky and gave some answers about it, and... it is unstated, whether Aku’s blood, drunk by the fanatical mother, created the seven sisters or just infected them during their mother’s already existed pregnancy. Hence it is unstated, who their father is. More plausible some unknown human.

I've been thinking about fan music.
Specifically, I've been thinking about "AD INFINITUM," a Deltarune song that wormed its way into my ear by being pretty good, then into my brain by having some flaws that are both obvious and interesting.
youtube
If I wanted to sell someone on "AD INFINITUM," I'd describe it as three parts "Rock Island," two parts other songs Robert Preston talk-sang (affectionate) in that musical, two parts the start of "Welcome to the Internet" (the wiki-walk through things you can do online), one part high-budget-Lin-Manuel-Miranda-imitation lyricism, flavored with the most iconic/annoying online advertising trends and a dash of overstimulated meltdown.
And if you know anything about Deltarune's second chapter, then it should be pretty clear why this fits Spamton. And it does! It sounds like it should be absolute chaos, but it's directed chaos. It comes together.
Except for the references.
See, if I described "AD INFINITUM" that way, I'd be lying by omission. It's also, conservatively, five parts overt reference to Deltarune. These references range from "Maybe someone unfamiliar with Deltarune would assume this was just marketing exaggeration or lolrandom humor" to "[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]". (By which I mean, even as someone who knows everything there is to know about Deltarune, the [HYPERLINK BLOCKED]s were distracting and irritating. Not enough to make me throw out what the song does well, but still.)
Contrast this with something like Gavin Dunne's "To Be Better."
youtube
On one hand, the musical style doesn't feel as tailored to Kratos as "AD INFINITUM" was to Spamton. It still fits, but it doesn't fit smoothy. On the other hand, it doesn't [HYPERLINK BLOCKED]. Despite the lack of [HYPERLINK BLOCKED], it evokes Kratos's post-2018 character and arc; learning to accept the past without binding the future.
It's a Kratos song as much as "AD INFINITUM" is a Spamton song, just not in ways that are fun to describe. But if you don't know GoW, you might not know if it wasn't for the game footage. There aren't any references that stand out as something unnatural to non-fans.
...
But this isn't exactly a fair comparison, is it? Miracle of Sound has been uploading songs for literally twice as long as the Stupendium. By the time Stupendium's first song was uploaded, Gavin had released an album of 100% original metal songs (not counting the ones based on Irish folklore/pirates) and wrote a song for a notable RPG (Wasteland 2, for the record). And it looks like Stupendium's first year was all covers (plus one Christmas rap)
Let's not forget, Gavin's breakout hit was goddamn "Commander Shepherd". If you haven't heard it before...well, it's called "Commander Shepherd." You can block a hyperlink, you can Mike '97, but you'll never be blunter than "Commander Shepherd". (..."leopard" is literally the only common word that rhymes with "Shepherd," I'm working with what I've got.)
And it's not even the bluntest song in Gavin's first album; that's probably either "The Ballad of Clay Carmine," "Mind of the Bat," or "Necromorph Soup". (Or "I Suck at Call of Duty," if we call that a CoD song and not a song about playing CoD.)
By the same token, the Stupendium's early songs are a lot...I don't want to say worse, but I don't like them as much, and they're definitely closer to "Commander Shepherd" than "AD INFINITUM" was.
This isn't a matter of Stupendium being worse than Miracle of Sound. It's a matter of original fandom songs being a weird thing. It's a friggin' oxymoron, it would be weirder if it wasn't a weird thing! And I've never participated in it, so maybe I shouldn't speculate about why this particular weird thing is weird...
...but I can't help myself.
I feel like it's got something to do with confidence. You make something like "Commander Shepherd" when you're writing for an audience that wants a Mass Effect song. Over time, you accumulate a fanbase that you can start writing for an audience that wants a Miracle of Sound song. Only then can you write something like "To Be Better".
Gavin Dunne clearly knows there are people who want Miracle of Sound songs. Basically every album he's released since Metal Up includes at least one song not inspired by a video game/movie/etc. This gives him confidence that he can write a God of War song that isn't the first thing you imagine when you hear "a song about God of War".
The Stupendium doesn't have that—doesn't have a dozen years of experience, an album of non-IP-based rap, songwriting credits in a medium-name game. "AD INFINITUM" is the best version of the first thing you imagine when you hear "a song about Spamton G. Spamton," but it is still a version of that thing, in ways that make it weaker.
If "AD INFINITUM" played its Spamton closer to the chest, I have to imagine it would be better—better as a sensory overload, as a Music Man homage, as music someone would play in the background, as a rap. But instead, it wears its heart-shaped object on its sleeve.

What horror video games would you like to see in dbd?
Personally I’d love to see Until Dawn with the Wendigo as a killer and Sam and Mike as survivors, the Quarry with the werewolf and Laura and Ryan as survivors, or the Last of Us with Joel and Ellie as survivors
I also love thinking about how those characters might have been implemented into STG had they already been apart of the game
To be honest, I don't play a lot of horror games. I've only recently started getting into this particular genre of gaming, coming from RPG's and FPS's. I do want to play the games you've listed above, but I haven't had the chance yet. From the game play footage I've seen I agree, they'd make for really cool crossovers.
Now! From what I have played, I'd love to see a Dead Space crossover. I absolutely LOVE the franchise and have replayed the first game from start to end at least six times.
Having Issac as a survivor would be dope, and perhaps the most common 'slasher' necromorph as the killer. Maybe get some cosmetics for it to look like mutated survivors (kinda like Leatherface's skin masks) I have still never played a FNAF game, but I think having Mike and/or Jeremy as Survivors would be really cool, with the original four animatronics (think Legion) or even Springtrap as the Killer.
Of course, this is less video game and more movie (yes I know some games exist but I've never played them) I still want to see the Predator in DBD. We finally got our xeno, now I want the Yautja! There's so many options for both Predators and Survivors if they do go that route someday! Fingers crossed!
I still say Skull Merchant should have been a Yautja fight me I will die on this fucking hill

Thoughts on Dead Space Remake.
From the Evil Assholes (EA) that brought you (closing a famous and renowned studio) and Star Wars Battlefront 2s PR nightmare, EA has produced a stellar remake of its beloved horror Dead Space, without any unnecessary multiplayer or micro transactions tacked on, (As of writing this 22/2/23), which I now publish five months later.
Dead Space looks amazing, with an updated engine, and textures to match the powerhouse units of 2023, the USG Ishimura has never looked better, and never been more traumatizing to stay alive in. Isaac has also received a facelift, modelled to look like his voice actor Gunner Wright. Several roles have also been recast, Hammond and Daniels, with the new actors smashing their roles out of obit.
The story still follows the originals faithfully, albeit with several characters more fleshed out, several new side quests which give more time for side characters to shine. Isaac also drops his strong silent act, and instead comments on the scenario that he finds himself in, making the game feel a lot more natural, for instance Issac swears if he runs out of ammo, or if the player decides to spam the stomp button repeatedly. Neat!
The game is a technical masterpiece, the player can travel around the ship, and backtrack at their leisure, something the original did not allow, when I returned to previous areas, I found Necromorphs who I had killed, lying in the same position from hours before, next to ammo or pieces of the environment I used to kill them.
The games lighting and sound is something to be cheered about, I haven’t felt a more tense atmosphere in a horror game as of late. Hearing Nercomorphs in the walls, and far off in the distance creates a stellar atmosphere dripping with fear of what’s outside the range of my flashlight. Taking away that lighting and leaving the areas in pitch darkness, with the player only being able to use their torchlight to see, is another added mechanic that is a chef’s kiss.
Frustrating elements have been removed, such a transporting a huge spoiler through an area, instead, the player must survive a gauntlet before moving on to the next story beat. As well as the old gravity moving mechanic, instead of having to aim and jump spot to spot, Isaac can use his rocket jets in Zero G, a mechanic that feels fun to use, and could have been a disaster if the programmers didn’t get it right.
All in all, Dead Space 2023 is a game that should delight new players, and make old players rejoice. Gameplay feels fresh, and fun. A fresh face lift has brought this game back to life much like the Necromorphs in the game, it’s a solid horror, with fantastic action thrown in. I have high hopes for a Dead Space 2 Remake. If you are a fan of sci fi horror, this game is highly recommended.

i will now proceed to send you..... artoria pendragon for the ask gaaammmee
Hi Teddy (=゚▽゚)/ Thankie for the ask! I'm assuming Art-san is for 003 of the ask game, so here we go!
003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:
Artoria/Arturia Pendragon (Fate)
How I feel about this character: I love her. I really really love her. There's a reason I have a plushie of her in an apron from Today's Menu from the EMIYA family I hug when I'm anxious, not to mention a Saber Lily figure and one of her original self using Excalibur against Caster Gilles. She was my first exposure to Fate and still a comfort to me at night whenever I'm scared of the dark/necromorphs/zombies.
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Shirou Emiya, Heroic Spirit Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, and Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, off the top of my head. Because they all have such good dynamics with her and I really appreciate what their banter involves.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Bedivere, since his entire relationship with her in Camelot had me tempted to cry. Also Lancelot, both Saber and Berserker, so that they can finally heal together. Not to mention Merlin.
My unpopular opinion about this character: FGO needs to include her more in the main story, dammit. If she's gonna be the face of the actual APP, USE HER LIKE THE KING SHE'S MEANT TO BE! Also, don't just stuff in so many Saber Faces into characters that could've gotten their own unique appearances, such as Lakshmi.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: That she got a chance to RECONCILE with Mordred. Because FGO kept skirting around it to where I HAD TO WRITE IT MYSELF to feel satisfied.
Favorite friendship for this character: Rin. Just because what I got to see of their dynamic in Deen/stay night and what little of Ufotable's UBW I got to watch before Netflix took it off was great.
My crossover ship: Um. Not sure yet!

Df ghuffehugefghugfueyguyefgyyfrgygryf?
Do you like dead space? The dead space franchise?? Do you want to hear about dead space?
Last year they released a remake for the first game! Anyway my favorite game from the series would have to be dead space 2, I love the new necromorphs and the added lore to unitology and the whole thing with convergence actually being a thing. In the first game released 2008 convergence actually wasn’t a thing yet. All we knew was the marker, the necromorphs, and unitology. Which is honestly why I like dead space 2 so much. I mean also the advanced suit which is literally the coolest fucking suit EVER. Anyway, did you know that the original dead space game was actually gonna be way different? As it is now it’s a survival sci-fi horror where you play as Isaac Clarke, an engineer who is trying to make sure the entire ship (USG Ishimura) doesn’t go under since everyone is either dead or now a necromorph. More importantly he is actually looking for his girlfriend who was a nurse on the ship. How the game was originally going to be was actually how Callisto protocol is. In other words, it was going to be that you were a prisoner, but some sort of infection is going around and turning people into horrible monsters that go and kill everyone else. I’m really glad they decided to not go with that idea, because the whole thing with unitology and convergence with the added PAIN of Nicole (Isaac’s girlfriend) really makes for a great game. Callisto protocol kinda fell flat for me, the weapons were kinda lame and the fighting was a bit jank but the designs were pretty cool. Nothing will ever beat necromorphs though. My favorite of the single body necromorphs would probably be the unitologist slasher, the puker, or the stalker. The unitologist slasher in specific areas doing the unitology hand symbol thing and the fact that their faces are completely obliterated is kind of poetic given what unitology is (it’s the belief that death, conversion to necromorphs, and convergence into a sentient meat planet essentially is the final steps of evolution for humanity when in all reality it is just the brethren moons way of reproducing). I like pukers because of how severely messed up they are, their faces are hollow and their flesh is melted due to the acid they hold their lungs. It’s twisted and malformed and the designs for the legs are absolutely so cool. Stalkers im biased for because I loved dinosaurs, I loved xenomorphs, I mean it’s a human contorted into basically a raptor and it screams at you and looks awesome ITS COOL! But god Isaac Clarke is such a great character. Like I said he’s just an engineer who in the end of it all wants to find and save his girlfriend because he was the one who encouraged her to take the job on the ishimura. Spoiler warning in case anyone was actually reading this and wanting to play the games. Anyway Nicole is dead, even before you start playing she was already dead and Isaac knew that. He received her last transmission, all she could really say is everything was falling apart and how scared she was, but she ultimately decided it was better if she did it herself instead of being turned into a necromorph. Isaac watched Nicole die, the one person in his life that was there for him, that tried to help him, that stayed with him and he loved her soooooooo much, so seeing that transmission kind of just broke him. He pushed it out of his head and refused to believe it. And it just gets so much worse because the marker, the thing that created necromorphs, is capable of creating hallucinations and delusions for people making them more susceptible to being killed, killing, or helping the marker reach the convergence event in order to create a brethren moon. Throughout the game Isaac experiences hallucinations, they get worse and worse until he finally finds what he thinks is Nicole and because he jsut wants her alive and well he chooses to believe it, in the end healing the marker get exactly what it wanted.
Convergence events are triggered by the markers when there is enough biomass. So these brethren moons, are moon sized living beings. They literally farm species. I’m dead space lore, the asteroid that hit the earth and killed the dinosaurs was the red marker. It was designed to take out the dinosaurs as the brethren moons know what they need in a species in order to reproduce a new moon. The marker sends out signals to the species, encouraging growth in intellect, and also creating the internal greed leading to over using the environment and being forced to find new ways to get materials such as going to the stars. This influence is key not only to create an intelligent species but for small cues in their genes to be easily triggered when they have reached their peak. This is when a necromorph outbreak will begin to occur. First, people have to be near the marker. It produces energy signals that are highly desired as it looks to be free energy, so obviously this draws attention and leads to people studying the marker extensively. Then it starts to hit those genetic cues. It depends on the person, but most will exhibit signs of heightened stress and anxiety, hallucinations as well. People who are unable to hold the knowledge of how to create more markers are driven insane, often times becoming extremely hostile as they hallucinate others to be monsters or believe that others are trying to harm them in some other way. It begins with a body, the marker also has something similar to a viral bacteria that it used to create the first few necromorphs. Once there is a dead body in proximity, it takes a bit of time but eventually it can “reanimate” it (necromorphs are NOT alive, they are simple a collection of muscles being moved around, they can’t be killed but dismemberment can stop them) the first few necromorphs are always slashers. They have large blades and strong legs, they can quickly crawl through vents and are quick and good at killing. Once there’s enough slashers around to protect the marker it moves on to creating infectors, those are severely mutilated human corpses, but their main purpose is to speed up the infection. They have a long proboscis that is designed to stab through human skulls and inject the bacteria. With infectors, the switch from human to necromorph only takes seconds. This allows for other forms of necromorphs to be created. It depends on a number of things for what determines what type of necromorph will come from a human, but the marker uses the materials to the best of its abilities. People with somethingike acid reflux may be more prone to becoming a puker, people who have been cut in half or just have a much stronger upper body may become a leaper (leg less torsos that can crawl and jump extreme distances) if the infection is along far enough the marker may begin to attack in other ways, such as creating wheezers (oo wee ooo) that cough up poisonous gasses to kill off any remain in survivors passively. Sometimes a corpse just becomes part of the corruption, which is often seen as meaty growth along the walls and floor of any areas. In the ishimura it blocks door ways, slows people down, grows tentacle like things that can grab and drag people down. It can also work a bit like the wheezers by relaeasing the poisonous gasses but it works much slower than the wheezers do, much more passive stuff. The most dangerous thing the corruption can do is create wall guardians. Humans can be absorbed into the corruption and have a stationary necromorph that can prevent survivors from traversing as easily. They are extremely dangerous and hard to kill without proper weapons. As mentioned necromorphs are dead, all you can do is dismember them to make it so they are unable to attack you so it’s not just an easy one and done shot.
Brethren moons are so super cool. They are the signs of previously powerful species, they are the reason we are alone. They harvest and kill in order to create life for themselves. A brethren moon requires an intelligent species in order to become what it is. They are hyper intelligent hive minds that are all connected. They share the same abilities of the markers but scaled to like times 100. In dead space, there is a level of intelligence that shows itself as the ability to read others minds, or if cultivated act as a hive mind. Every human has the ability to be born with it but it is rare and again one human could have that ability but it is such a low level it will likely never be noticed unless convergence occurs. Isaac Clarke does not have this ability, but he does have the other form of intelligence that makes him much more dangerous and thus more desired by the brethren moons. He is able to withstand the marker signal better than others (that doesn’t mean he can fully withstand it but yknow) which means he is able to have the instructions for HWO to create more markers implanted in his head. But that also means he can defeat the markers plans (if we are going by dead space 3 non dlc ending that means he can also defeat brethren moons but I don’t like dead space 3 very much so im not counting it) the entire idea is built around levels of intelligence, and there’s so many different levels of it. Humans as a whole are smart, but everyone has different intelligences in different areas and I’ve always been really interested in stuff like that
Anyway im gonna go now I have about 385828578385739 more words to say but I need to do other things

Immersive Audio and Heart-Pounding Moments in Dead Space
Everything I loved about the original is totally front and center, with extra TLC to make it shine on modern hardware, prompting me to explore and buy Xbox games to experience that nostalgic thrill all over again. The graphics are insane, and there are multiple ways to play which is dope. Normally, I just go with lower resolution for better framerate, but this time I actually tried out different settings like the grain and both are solid. Dead Space's dark vibe even looks sick at 30fps in 4K. In most survival horror games, I usually keep the grain filters on for that creepy vibe. But this time, I switched them off and went for the smooth 60fps—it's just such a slick experience. Everyone has their preference, but you won't regret it either way. The sound design is on point too. One standout feature is Isaac's breathing and heart rate, which amp up during tense moments, adding serious immersion. Another cool thing is the controller speaker, which pumps out all those little audio details like menu sounds and ambient effects, giving a nostalgic nod to Dead Space fans. It's a nice touch that stays solid throughout the game.
Upgrades and Deluxe Edition Suits in Dead Space
I remembered most parts of the game as they were, but there was this one section with asteroids later on that got a major upgrade and made my playthrough way better. It was like discovering a hidden gem when I decided to buy PS5 games, adding a whole new dimension to my gaming experience. In the original, it felt like a drag and broke the flow, but now it's redesigned and fits perfectly. I didn't feel any negativity during my first run through the campaign, which was awesome. The weapons we love, like the classic plasma cutter, are back, and there are some tweaked ones too. I can't remember if the upgrades for weapons and suits were the same in the original. If you get the deluxe edition, there are extra cosmetic suits, like this infected one that's pretty wild. I rocked it through the whole game, and it gives the ending a cool new look.
Enhanced Space Defense Mechanics in Dead Space
Man, this Remake blew my mind. I was glued to my screen the whole first playthrough. Everything I adored about the original, which has been my top game for years, is still there, but they somehow made it even better. Benny covered a lot already, so I won't repeat, but seriously, I couldn't find a single flaw in Dead Space (2023). Instead, let's talk about some cool changes and how the game ran on PC for me. The biggest improvement was the asteroid mission. In the original, it was a drag—you're stuck in a seat, shooting asteroids with an AA gun, and it's clunky as heck. In the remake, they scrapped that whole setup. Now, you're out on the ship's hull, darting between AA guns, powering them up, and locking onto asteroids. Once each gun's set, they auto-target and defend the ship. It's a perfect example of taking the original idea and turning it into something fresh and thrilling, way beyond what was possible back then.
Revamped and Retaining the Essence: Dead Space Remastered
The Necromorphs are way more unpredictable now. Unlike my kinda harsh Callisto Protocol review where every little sound and setup was a predictable jump scare, Dead Space keeps you on edge with every noise and malfunctioning vent. You never know if it's a Necromorph or just a false alarm. Some of them sneak up on you quietly, so by the time you hear them and turn around, they're practically breathing down your neck. This tension and horror vibe lasts the whole game, no matter where you're at. Each playthrough feels fresh because encounters are random—what was a monster-filled vent last time might be harmless now. And that safe room with goodies? It could have a nasty surprise next round. Motive really nailed the details crafting the Ishimura's environments. The ship feels alive, just as crucial to the story as the characters. They've revamped it beautifully for this generation without losing the original's essence. It's all fresh yet familiar, seamlessly updated without messing with Dead Space's core vibe.
Reviving the Thrill: Dead Space (2023)
Dead Space (2023) brought back all the reasons I adore this series, why Sci-Fi Space Horror is my jam, and how amazing a top-notch Survival/Horror game can be. I've been hooked on Dead Space and can't wait to wrap up my Nightmare run, adding another 100% completion to my collection, just like I did on Xbox 360 back in 2008.
