Introducing Luminlite, Luminlux, and Lumineye!

Luminlite cling to the walls of cave and wait for things to pass by it before stunning them with a beam of light. In the depths of caves, they flicker their lights in specific patterns to communicate with one another.

A towering colony of Luminlite become Luminlux - It has not yet harmonized all of its disparate parts, and thus skitters around erratically. Its many faces will flicker on and off randomly, disturbing those around it.

When enough Luminlite and Luminlux gather, they form Lumineye - A giant colony that thinks as one entity. Their harsh beam of light stuns any unfortunate enough to be caught in it. It can see through walls and solid stone for miles.

Shoutout to @qamorfakemon for designing the first two stages for me as a Secret Santa gift a few years ago!

Fakemon redesign sketches as I revisit some elementary school fakemon that are canon. To me

Design+brainstorming notes under cut:

Meowfluff (first form) - JP name Fuwanya?

Type: either pure psychic (no use of wings yet) or normal/flying (psy elements dont mature til evo)

Honestly, the original look of the first form is still very classic to me. But, it feels a lot more reminiscent of baby digimon, and while it succeeds there I would have a harder time designing a digimon line, so I want to try my hand at guiding it into a more pokemon-compliant design, while retaining some of its charm points (round beanbag shape of a cat lol).

Psyfurr (second form) - name is both a combo of psychic+fur, and a play on the word cipher

Type: Psychic/flying

Evolves via level up, though if it's a type change maybe I'll add some sort of fancy condition to that. The original design is largely what you see here, with minor tweaks - third eye moved down to chest, a cipher ring added to the tail in place of another eye.

Originally this fakemon line was mostly designed to introduce a tuxedo coat to the games (when it was only up to gen3), and was also coming with a secondary gimmick of having multiple coat patterns available - much in the way Spinda has multiple spots. Though, since I was thinking more literally different coats like tabby or calico, probably a closer example would be Vivillion. I'm scrapping this concept to achieve a more cohesive fakemon, but may reuse the idea elsewhere honestly.

The wings and psychic elements were tossed in as an afterthought, mostly based on what I thought would suit my cat and model at the time (and my own preferences) - now, I'm thinking I'll lean more concretely into the psychic elements, and maybe consider angels as a loose theming between the wings and "halo" shape of the cipher ring?

Extra note - originally I eventually designed this line with a third stage, "metafurr", which was essentially a Psyfurr with some armor on it - once more showing digimon design tendencies instead. This would evolve from Psyfurr with a metal coat. I'm scrapping it for the time being, though I may revisit it later as a mega or 'late add on' evo, if I can come up with a good unique design progression or thematic reason to incorporate it back in.

A poodle Fakemon based off of topiary hedges! I introduce you to Shruppy and Topuppiary. Shruppy (Grass/Fairy) The Shrub Puppy Pokemon Gardeners often keep them as companions, but mischievous ones like to nibble on freshly planted flowers. People often mistake Shruppy for a shrub and accidentally water it. It enjoys sunny days and will nap in flower beds. Topuppiary (Grass/Fairy) The Elegant Pokemon Trainers across the region prize Topuppiary for its refined form. With careful trimming, Topuppiary’s elegant form becomes even more majestic. It prefers to stay perfectly sculpted and will shake off any excess leaves if it gets too bushy.

4 cheers and 1 low energy grunt for Suncerto! Once the punny name came to mind I knew I had to make something for Sunflora. It keeps a lot of Sunflora's traits, so it's also a pure Grass with Chlorophyll and Solar Power, but replaces Early Bird with Natural Cure. I've also had an idea for all of the multi-headed mons out there with Bicker, a new move that makes all of them argue with each other and raises the user's lowest stat by +3, so the 30 base speed might be a little nyoomier than expected with that and Chlorophyll.

Hatching from an egg into the cute Pomespheric, they then evolve into the fast and sparky Spitzostratic! With effort, they evolve into the powerful Samonimbus, capable of carrying their trainers through the skies!

Sigilyph Ability Forms!

Pokemon Ability Forms are a concept @n0rtist brought into the light, posing the question of “What would it look like if pokemon had different forms based on their abilities?” This is my answer to that question, specifically concerning the pokemon Sigilyph!

Jumping on the bandwagon late as always, with me finding out about ability forms only after the video about it came out, but I had fun with it! I think I took what the abilities did into account more than the names of the abilities themselves, though. Whatev!
