She had postpartum depression when she gave birth to Orel.

I could honestly see her having munchausen by proxy, I feel like it started w Orel than moved to Shapey and or Block, all though she does tend to ignore her kids most of the time. I do think deep down in her own fucked up way she loves her kids.

anyway ty!!! virote really is an opinionated person and its on his own terms like ur gonna hear whats on his mind whether u like it or not. but its obvious that he has a big heart, and he looks to orel with a sense of protectiveness. in our verse his disdain for orel's dad is overridden by the fact he just kinda wants to be a sort of shelter.

4 years pass following the ending of "Moral Orel"

Tensions finally broken, unable to continue the way things were- the constant arguments, the infedelity; officially separated Clay now gets to deal with co-parenting the younger boys despite not being either of their fathers.

Orel has gone minimal contact, partially due to Clay's inability to take accountability for anything in his life much less the abuse he deals, but on the odd occasion they see eachother they try to keep it cordial- if anything to stop Bloberta from worrying.

Somewhere along the line, in part due to mental strain, Clay needs a second set of hands at the Mayor's office and hires an assistant who he eventually falls for; taking him two years to process and finally make a move.
