I ordered a footlong from Subway so I could eat half for lunch today and take the other half to work for lunch tomorrow, but they left off my lettuce and it killed the whole vibe of the sandwich, and now I'm not sure if even want to eat my sad sandwich half tomorrow, I think I'm just gonna have to go buy groceries.
#I gotta quit ordering online with them 'cause they suck so bad at making things correctly if I'm not standing there telling them what to do#they shorted me my avocado once#and a few other things#I think they left off my pickles once which is a cardinal sin#forgot my cookie today too and I had to go back for it#and I ordered a cold cut combo and the only kind of meat on it was bologna#it's just gonna have to be in-person orders there from now on

farmers market
Pairing: Harry Styles x pregnant!reader

Saturday mornings had become your favorite part of the week, especially now that you were six months pregnant. There was something about the air in the fall that made everything feel crisp, fresh, and alive. You breathed it in deeply as you and Harry approached the farmer’s market entrance, the golden sunlight filtering through the trees and creating a beautiful radiance on everything. The sounds of the bustling crowd, the chatter of vendors, and the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze all added to the charm. For you, this was the perfect way to spend the morning—slowly strolling through the stalls, picking out fresh produce, and taking in the delicious aromas that surrounded you.
Harry, on the other hand, loved watching you. There was a joy in your eyes every time you came across something that caught your attention—whether it was a basket of perfectly ripe peaches or a bouquet of wildflowers. He found himself smiling more, simply watching you enjoy the little things. Though his schedule was often packed with work, he didn’t mind these outings. In fact, he insisted on them.
"I can't believe you actually woke up early for this," you teased, nudging him playfully with your shoulder as the two of you made your way through the market entrance.
Harry adjusted his sunglasses, his hand still wrapped around yours. He squeezed it gently before responding, "Hey, I have my priorities straight. You, our little one, and fresh strawberries."
You grinned at him. "I knew you were just here for the food."
"And the company," he corrected, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your forehead. He lingered for a moment, his fingers brushing your skin. "You sure you're up for this? We could’ve just ordered everything online."
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. "Harry, I’m pregnant, not fragile. I’m not going to break. Besides, I want to pick things out myself. You know how picky I get when it comes to cravings."
He chuckled, his hand gently resting on the small of your back, guiding you as you walked. "Yeah, I remember. The great pickle debacle of last month."
You groaned, covering your face with your hand in embarrassment. "Don’t remind me. I still feel bad for that poor store clerk."
"He survived," Harry teased, brushing a loose strand of hair from your face as you reached the first stall. "And now we have a whole shelf stocked with pickles at home. We're prepared for the next craving, love."
As you approached the stall, a burst of color filled your vision. Strawberries. Plump and bright, their sweetness practically radiated from the basket. You couldn’t help yourself. A soft gasp left your lips as you reached for a carton. "Oh my gosh, look at these strawberries! I need them."
The vendor, an older man with a wide grin and a straw hat, chuckled at your enthusiasm. "Good choice, dear. These are the sweetest berries you’ll find this season, grown just down the road."
Harry smiled at the vendor, then at you. "Perfect. We’ll take a few cartons, please."
The man winked at you as he handed over the strawberries. "Craving strawberries, huh? Must mean you’re having a sweet little one."
You laughed, resting your hand on your bump. "Seems like it."
Harry watched you carefully, his hand brushing yours as you inspected the fruit, a soft chuckle escaping him. "You know, love, if you keep eating them like this, our little one is going to come out looking like a strawberry."
You raised an eyebrow at him, a playful smirk tugging at your lips. "Should be no problem for you, since you only sing about fruit and... other things."
Harry’s face broke into laughter, shaking his head as he squeezed your hand a little tighter. "Alright, fair point. Guess we’re a perfect match then."
As you both moved down the market path, you spotted a stall selling honey, its glass jars glistening in the sunlight. Your eyes lit up, and without missing a beat, you tugged Harry toward it. "Ooh, fresh honey!"
The elderly woman behind the stand greeted you with a warm smile. "Well hello, dear! Looking for something sweet today?"
Harry wrapped his arm around you protectively, as if to shield you from the bustling crowd around you. He glanced down at you, his thumb gently caressing the back of your hand. "She’s been craving everything sweet since she got pregnant," he said, his voice soft, his gaze lingering on you.
The vendor’s smile widened. "Ah, a little one on the way! Congratulations, dear. I’ve got just the thing for you—this wildflower honey. It’s perfect with tea or drizzled over yogurt."
You took one of the jars into your hands, turning it over in your palms as you inspected it. "We’ll take two jars, please," you said with a smile. You could already imagine the honey paired with some of the fruit you had bought.
Harry leaned in closer, his lips brushing the shell of your ear as he whispered, "At this rate, we’ll have an entire pantry of honey, jams, and fruit."
You nudged him with your elbow, a playful glint in your eyes. "Says the guy who could probably live off protein shakes and fruit."
He grinned down at you, leaning his head against yours for a brief moment. "Hey, fruit’s good for you. And clearly, our little one agrees."
As the two of you continued down the market lane, Harry remained ever the protector, placing a hand gently on your lower back whenever the crowd got too dense or people brushed by too closely. He made sure to stay close, watching you like a hawk as you darted from one stall to another, carefully selecting items that would satisfy your cravings. His protective nature seemed to grow stronger with each passing day, and you couldn’t help but feel a flutter of love in your chest every time he touched you.
You stopped in front of a stall selling freshly baked bread. You picked up a warm loaf, its crust golden and inviting, and breathed in deeply. "Look at this bread, H!" you said, holding it up to him. "It smells amazing."
The baker, a jovial man with flour-dusted hands, beamed at you. "Fresh from the oven this morning, love. It’s a market favorite!"
Harry inhaled the rich aroma of the bread and nodded. "Alright, we’ll take two. One for you, and one for the baby."
You giggled, shaking your head at him. "You’re going to use the baby excuse for everything now, aren’t you?"
He shot you a mischievous grin. "Absolutely."
Next, you came across a stand selling handmade baby clothes. Harry’s eyes softened the moment he saw a tiny knitted sweater. His hand lingered over the soft material before he held it up to you, his voice barely above a whisper. "Look at this. Think our little one would like it?"
An elderly woman behind the stand smiled warmly at the two of you. "Oh, that one’s made from the softest wool, dear. Perfect for a little bundle of joy."
You felt your heart swell in your chest as you looked at Harry. Your voice wavered slightly. "I think they’d look adorable in it."
Harry’s fingers gently traced the top of your arm, sending a warm shiver through you. "We’re really doing this, huh?" His gaze softened as he brushed his thumb across the back of your hand. "Baby, family, all of it."
You smiled, your heart full of emotion. Resting your hand over his, you looked up at him with a soft, affectionate smile. "Yeah, we are."
As the morning wore on, your bags filled with fresh produce, honey, flowers, and baby clothes, Harry remained a constant presence at your side, his protectiveness never wavering. He kissed your forehead whenever you stopped to look at something, always keeping a careful eye on you as the crowds grew thicker.
You were about to make your way to the car when Harry glanced at the overflowing bags in his hands, a playful grin tugging at his lips. "Think we went a little overboard?"
You laughed, shaking your head. "No such thing when it comes to fresh fruit."
He raised an eyebrow at you. "You and your fruit obsession. I’m telling you, if this baby’s first word is 'peach,' I’m blaming you."
You shot back with a laugh. "Alright, but if their first word is 'kiwi,' or ‘watermelon’ or ‘cherry’ then I’m blaming you!"
Harry pulled you closer, planting a soft kiss on your forehead. "Alright, love. Truce. Let's go home and make something delicious with all this."
And as the two of you walked back to the car, the morning sun warm on your skin, you knew that these were the moments that would stay with you forever—simple, quiet, full of love and anticipation.

Say hello to my bug eyed baby boy 🐛👀👶
He was in an egg since September but about a week ago he finally hatched! 😊😅 jk jk but it did take me this long to finish this plushie of baby Leslie that I can hold close and snuggle. 🥰🧡
In the last few days I took him out with me so he could explore the woods for the first time, and so I could take some photos of him for you guys (and me lol).
No I could not trim this photo set even more, do you have any idea how many photos I took?? and he's precious in all of them. 🥺
I don't have a sewing machine or any other special equipment so he's entirely handmade with a pattern I made myself by trial and error, but I did use two of my plush toys as reference to study how they're stitched together.
I was pretty limited with my material choice because I had to find everything in Leslie's colors or at least the closest I could get to his colors, and I've realized that they're not very popular colors. His hair sadly ended up being the most off, but I'm still happy with it.
His body is something like sweatshirt fleece but the fabric being turned the wrong way so that the soft fuzzy side is on the outside. But I had no luck trying to find sherpa fleece fabric that would fit his coat colors so his fur is all embroidered using a stitch called turkey work.
And his lil pickle dreads are made with the same technique as friendship bracelets, just that they loop around. I've made so many friendship bracelets in my time that this wasn't hard to figure out how to do lol. And in the end I also sewed shiny pearls onto them to act as sparkles, since I'm not a fan of glitter or sequins. 😅
And lastly his hair is made out of genuine hand dyed sheep locks! Wondering how to tackle the hair gave me the most trouble. I was thinking of sewing it together out of fabric, or tying together fluffy yarn in the style of macramé and other ideas I can't recall anymore, but either the idea didn't sound good enough or I wasn't able to find the right material to try to pull it off. In the end I stumbled on sheep locks kind of on accident while browsing etsy and the idea was just too tempting. They're the only part of him that I ordered online and I was really worried it wasn't going to be what I needed, or that I won't like the color once I see it irl, won't like the feel, etc. But I'm super happy with how it came out in the end. Yes it's much lighter in color and now he's curly, but I think it really suits him, and it feels soft like actual hair. 🥰
Some details from up close:
#please be kind to him#you wanna hold him? here. careful 🤲#🥺🤧#i've never made anything like this. i feel so cool and accomplished#i keep moving him around the room and staring at him like 🥺🥺🥺 my baby 🥰🥰🥰#his eyes are so weird and buggy. i love them#the scrunchie you see him wearing in some photos was made by florad0ra and it suits him so much 🥺 plus it keeps his hair in place#trolls#dreamworks trolls#my art#ex bandmates#trolls oc#les#leslie#plush toys#plushies#stuffed animals#handmade#that purple flower he's with in one photo is a flower that floyd associates with les. i saw it and nearly lost it because i was not#expecting one to bloom this late in the year. poor thing is frozen. but anyway. yaaayy

💼Part of the Bad Bosses AU💼
Maestro’s is a nice place. Your dress feels even louder in the high-end restaurant. And you feel even more tired as the dim lighting softens the edges of your vision. Mr. Hansen looms there too, ushering you after the hostess as she leads you to your reserved booth.
A man awaits you. He doesn’t stand or offer Lloyd a handshake. He simply finishes his martini and shoves the empty glass at the hostess, keeping the olive to chew on.
“’Bout time,” he mutters at Hansen around the garnish.
“Nice to see you too, Hugh,” Hansen nudges you ahead of him. You slide onto the curved bench silently. The man finally looks up from his glowing phone. He scoffs in your direction. “Who’s the grade school teacher?”
“Assistant,” Hansen drops down and glides in close to you. “She’ll keep minutes.”
“Really? Alright,” he snorts.
“Well, you want an investment so... it’s business, isn’t it?”
“Thought we were getting drinks and steak,” the other man he called Hugh sits back casually.
“Missie, Ransom, Ransom, Missie. There, all introduced,” Hansen picks up the liquor menu and pets his mustache. You notice how he toys particular with the shining silver strand.
“Nice to meet you, uh, Ransom,” you intone.
“Yeah, sure,” he sniffs and rolls his eyes. You’re an intruder, if not an imposter. Not just at this table but in this restaurant. You should be with Peter getting your sandwich with extra pickles.
The men are silent. You look between them as the tension rise. A waitress reappears with a fresh martini and puts it before Ransom. Hansen sits up and puts down the small menu.
“Scotch, top shelf for me, and a vodka tonic for the lady. She’s watching those hips,” he orders. You don’t put in that you’d rather not drink. You doubt he’ll notice if you touch it or not. Besides, it’s a courtesy you don’t expect of him.
“You going to the reunion?” Ransom asks over his martini.
“Nah, stuff’s sad. Bunch of washed out legacies and stringy armed pledges.” Hansen retorts.
“Mr. Big Stuff’s too cool for school,” Ransom chortles. “Imagine this, honey,” he gestures to you with his stemmed glass. “Big boss man used to be the frat’s treasurer. Penny pincher. Kept a fucking stranglehold over every penny. Wouldn’t even put out for cups for beer pong--”
“Not all of have grandaddy’s trust fund to fall back on--”
“Bro, don’t even. Your mom is loaded.”
“Where do you think I got my good sense from?” Hansen counters. The server returns with your drinks and sets them down, offering a food menu. The men wave those away. Your stomach growls.
Hansen slides the sparkling vodka in front of you. He sips his own dark liquor and you let yours sit on ice. He huffs and flicks the brim of your glass, “drink.”
“Sir,” you lift the glass and take a tiny sip.
“Don’t be ungrateful,” he pushes on the bottom until you gulp. You nearly gag on the bitterness of the tonic and alcohol.
“So what’s going on here?” Ransom leans his elbows on the table.
“Business, talk about your damn books,” Hansen demands with the snap of his fingers.
“New imprint. So long as I can get the backers,” Ransom shrugs. “Grandfather says I have to put work in. Mom says the same.”
“Oh, and how is the insatiable Mrs. Thrombey?”
“Hey,” Ransom warns.
Hansen cackles, “now that’s a woman. Tall, domineering—you know, she still got it--”
“Would you quit?”
“I’m having fun,” Hansen chuckles and drains his glass. He takes out his phone and Ransom sighs, nursing his own drink in agitation.
You squirm in the roiling air. You wet your lips as you wait for them to continue. Neither of them do.
“That’s a nice ring...” you comment, just to ease the silence.
Ransom twists the mother of pearl band then fidgets with his hands, “thank, er...”
“So you went to school together?” You prompt, afraid of another simmering tension.
“Pfft, no. Do I look old?” Ransom sneers. “I only heard the stories. After. L-Dog made quite the name for himself.”
“Hugh,” Hansen puts his phone screen down.
“What? I’m making conversation since you can’t be bothered,” he shrugs and leans forward, focusing on you. “What’s it like working for him? He a tight ass? I mean, he’s got you here past six. I’m thinking so.”
“She’s here to take notes,” Hansen insists. “It’s her job.”
“Suuuuure,” Ransom drags out the word. “Still the same as you ever were, huh.”
“Shut up.”
“This guy, oh, everyone knew what he liked. Really chubby ch--”
Hansen slaps the table and it jolts as he kicks Ransom underneath, “you want me to back your nepotistic venture or what?”
Ransom laughs and reaches to rubs his shin, “you know, this could’ve been an email.”
“Could’ve,” Hansen signals for the server. “But I prefer to deal with you with a dash of good scotch.” He taps your glass again, “finish that.”
The waitress reappears and Hansen orders another round for the table. You deflate just a little. You hoped you might get out early enough to meet Peter, or at least call him and explain. You’re not sure your frantic apology via text made sense.
“You’re too nice for him,” Ransom says. “And it’s me saying so.”
“Get on with it,” Hansen sneers.
“Fine. Erotic thrillers. Granddad’s scandalised but I told him, times are changing. People like horny with their fear.”
You stay quiet. You’re rather content to do so. Let them chatter. You take out your phone and take notes; trying to translate his crass explanation into business speak. Hansen gets his second drink and yawns.
The more you transcribe there blustering chirping, the more you feel that needling in your head. You shouldn’t be here. Neither of them need you here. You know it’s punishment; because you saw your boss at his weakest, but when did you ever step a toe out of line with Hansen. You’ve ever been loyal. You are sitting at that table after all.
“Hips, if you’re not gonna drink, don’t let it go to waste,” Hansen snatches your untouched refill and slurps it down.
Concern tickles behind your ears. He’s drinking a lot and fast. The longer you’re here, the more he knocks back, you’re assured that you won’t be catching up with Peter tonight.
You quickly flip out of your notes app and check your conversation. You deleted Hansen’s message but not before it was read. Even so, Peter’s response is ‘understood, we’ll do another night’. You reply to him quickly
‘Sorry again. Boss has important stuff. Maybe this weekend?’
You switch back to your notes as Hansen slaps his chest and stifle a belch. Ransom sucks on the gin soaked olive and shakes his head again. Looks like you’re going to be the adult at the table.

Lost (A Halstead Brothers + Halstead Sister Imagine)
"What do you want?" you asked Jay as you held his hand while you walked into the mall the weekend before Christmas.
He smiled and quickly looked down at you. "I told you. You can get me whatever you think I'd like. I'm not picky."
"I know that, Jay Jay," you huffed. "But Will telled me you need to be spec-spec...Will, what's that word again?"
"Specific," he offered.
"Yeah. That. He telled me you need to do that because we gotta know what store to go to."
"What do you want to get me?" Jay asked.
"I dunno! That's why you gotta tell me!"
"Okay, okay, calm down," Jay said as the three of you walked into the mall. "How about some new gloves?"
"That's a good idea! Hailey always says you need new ones!"
"She does, doesn't she?"
"Yeah!"
"So, me and you will go get Will's gift and then we'll get a snack and switch, okay?"
"Okay!"
Then, you and Jay started off toward the center of the mall to the sports store to get Will the Blackhawks winter hat he wanted while Will went the opposite way to meet up with Hailey and start knocking the last-minute gifts off your list to Santa.
***
An hour later, you had Will's hat and Jay, well Jay had some last-minute stocking stuffer ideas from you, and you all had eaten soft pretzels with cheese from Auntie Anne's. Now, it was time to go get Jay's gift. And, unbeknownst to you, Jay had told Will to stall because he and Hailey needed to run across the street to get your Build-A-Bear clothes that they had ordered online last week and then get your new bike from Toys R Us.
"I think we should get Jay two things," Will suggested.
"Why?" you asked. You had only gotten Will one thing. You couldn't get Jay two because that wouldn't be fair!
"Because there's that fun food store and I think he'd like some weird potato chips."
"But you didn't get two presents! So, Jay Jay can't get two! That's mean to you!"
Will smiled and then steered you towards the center of the aisle to the seating area. Once there, he crouched down to your level. "And that's so nice that you're thinking like that, kiddo! But, I think he'd like some fun chips."
"But you like the pickle ones!"
"That's right. How about you get me the pickle ones, too then?"
"But then you'll know what I got you!"
"I'll forget by then."
You scrunched your eyebrows. Christmas was in four days! Will couldn't forget that fast, could he? But, they never lied to you. So, maybe he would.
"You promise you forget?"
"I promise."
"And we give them back to Jay Jay later so he help me wrap?"
"And we can give them to Jay later so he can help you wrap them, yes," Will confirmed.
"Okay! Let's go get the chippies!"
Will laughed and then looked around. It was starting to get later and more people were coming into the mall because they were getting off work.
"Hold my hand when we walk there because it's getting busier, okay?"
"Okay!"
Then, you grabbed Will's hand and went over to the store that housed all the candy, chips, popcorn, and all of the other fun foods.
You quickly found the dill pickle potato chips that Will liked but were stumped on what type of chips to get for Jay.
You scrunched up your eyebrows again, deep in thought. "I dunno what to get Jay!"
"Hmmm, what if we look at the popcorn? See if they have anything spicy. He likes that."
"Is that the thing that makes my tongue all tingly that I had to drink milk after?"
Will smiled and held back a laugh at your description. "Yes, that's the one."
"We should get him one with lots and lots and lots and lots of spicy!"
"Okay, super duper spicy popcorn for Jay comin' right up!" Will's phone then buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw that Jay had texted him to pick up some candy for your stocking. "Hey, kiddo? How about you go over there and pick out all of your favorite candy so that Santa knows what to bring you."
"But how will Santa know if I didn't write it on my list?"
"Well, you can bring it over to me and--" he lowered his voice and crouched down to your level. "Between you and me, I know Santa's phone number."
Your eyes widened. "You talk to Santa?"
"I do. So, you show me all the candies you want and then I'll write them down and then tell Santa. Then, he'll bring you some."
You quickly nodded, still in awe. Your big brother talked to Santa!
Then, you ran across the store to begin picking out all of your favorite candy!
***
About five minutes later, you were almost done making your selections, when you saw someone out of the corner of your eye.
You gasped. Will was leaving the store without you!
You quickly put your candy back on the shelf and then hustled out of the store and kept following your big brother, but boy, did he walk fast!
"Will!" you shouted when you were two stores away from the candy and snack store. He didn't turn around, so you tried again.
Nothing.
You huffed and stomped your feet in annoyance.
"Will!" What was it that Jay called Will when he was mad? Then, it came to you. "William!"
Still nothing!
You kept following him and running almost as fast as you could. Then, he turned into another store and so did you.
He was slowing down and you were catching up to him. Will really needed to slow down! And what about the chips? And telling Santa about the candy? You needed to make sure he'd still talk to Santa and--
He turned around and you gasped.
That wasn't Will!
***
Will furrowed his eyebrows as he walked over to the candy section holding a bag of ghost pepper and jalapeno popcorn for Jay and a bag of dill pickle potato chips for himself...which he'd conveniently "forget" about in four days. He didn't see you here and you knew not to leave anywhere without him or another trusted adult.
"Y/N," he said. "Y/N!" he tried again, this time louder.
His heart began to race. You had to be in the store still. You had to. You knew not to leave without an adult. It was drilled into your head. And, you wouldn't do that on a normal day, much less this close to Christmas when Santa was watching you even closer than before. And, if Will lost you, well, Jay would then commit murder...and he wouldn't care if it was Christmas.
"Y/N!" he tried again and continued to run around the store.
Once he went around twice, he had to concede.
You weren't here.
He quickly made his way to the counter and pushed past all of the current customers.
"Sir, you need to go to the—"
"Listen, I'm sorry for cutting in line, but I'm not buying anything right now. My sister was just in here with me and she's not here. This is her." He pulled up the most recent photo of you on his phone. "Did you see where she went?"
"I'm- I'm sorry," the salesgirl stammered. "I had to run to the back to get some orders and my coworker was on break and—"
"It's okay, that's okay. My name's Will, Will Halstead. Do you have a piece of paper? I can write my number down and if you see her or she comes back here, you call me." She slid Will a piece of paper and he wrote down his phone number. "I'm going to security now. Her name's Y/N Halstead. My brother's name is Jay and he's a cop. He might come in here, too and uh- uh—"
"Mr. Halstead, take a breath. Go look for her and go to security. I'll call you if there's anything."
"Thank you!"
Then, he sprinted out of the store.
***
"Do think she wants purple or pink for her bike?" Jay asked as he stood in Toys R Us.
"Hmmm, how about a purple bike and pink helmet," Hailey suggested.
"I like your thinking, Hails. I like your thinking. I'll go grab a worker to get the bike down and then we—" His phone ringing cut him off. "It's Will. They're probably done and I'm gonna have to figure out another stall tactic for at least thirty minutes." Then, he slid open his phone to answer the call. "Yeah, W—"
"Listen, I don't- I don't know where Y/N is," he answered, trying to remain calm even though everything in his body and brain were screaming at him to panic.
Jay froze. "What? What do you mean you don't know where she is? She's with you."
"She was supposed to be! I was having her look for some candy while I found your last gift and then I turned around and she wasn't there and—"
"Okay, okay, stay calm. What did you do next?"
"I went up to the girl at the counter of the store, showed her a picture of Y/N, left her my number, explained the situation, and told her to call me if she saw her."
"Okay, that's a start. Me and Hailey are on our way. Just start looking and call me if you find her."
"Yeah, yeah, I will."
"We gotta go," Jay said when he ended the phone call and started speed walking towards the exit of the store.
"Jay, what's wrong? What's going—"
"Will lost Y/N!"
"Shit. Let's go."
Then, the two took off running.
***
No, no, no, no, no.
There were too many people and you couldn't see above all of these people's heads and you didn't know where Will or Jay were. What did you do now?
Hot tears began to stream down your face as you walked out of the store you were previously in. Then, you turned. Did you come from that way? Or was it the other way?
Then, you heard Jay's voice in your head.
If you're lost, stay where you are and we'll find you. But if you see a police officer, you talk to them.
You stood there and frantically looked around.
Then, you saw them. Two officers with the blue shirts and the hats that Jay and Hailey had to wear sometimes.
Then, you took off before you lost sight of them.
You skidded to a stop in front of them.
"Can you help me?" you quickly cried when you were within earshot of them.
The lady cop quickly took in your tear-stained face and crouched down to your level.
"Help you with what, sweetheart? Where are your parents?"
"My- my brothers."
"Okay. Where are your brothers?"
"I dunno. I thought Will left the store but then it wasn't Will and Jay told me to stay where I was unless I saw a police off-cer because he's one and—"
"Honey, hey, hey, it's okay. We'll find them. What's your name?"
"Y/N Halstead."
"Okay, Y/N. I'm Officer Raven and behind me is my partner, Officer Brown. Now, what are your brothers' names?"
"Will Halstead and Jay Halstead."
"Okay. And, you said one's a police officer like us, right?" You quickly nodded. "Do you know one of their phone numbers?"
You nodded and quickly rattled off Jay's phone number.
But, when the officer called the number, it said that this number had been disconnected.
"Y/N, he didn't answer. Do you know another phone number?"
At this, you began to cry harder. Will had taught you his number, but you were so scared it was all getting jumbled up in your head!
"I don't 'member!" you cried.
"Okay, that's okay. You said Jay's a police officer, so do you know his badge number?" She pointed to her own badge. "It's the number that's on here. Or, do you know who he works with?"
"Jay Jay works with Hank- Hank Voight," you said. Then, you remembered multiple times at the district where Jay would quiz you on his badge number. He said if anything happened and you couldn't remember anything, just to know his name and his badge number. "Jay Halstead. Badge 5..1..1..6..." you furrowed your eyebrows as you tried to pull out the last number from memory. "3."
"Jay Halstead, badge number 5-1-1-6-3?" Officer Raven asked.
"Yes! That's my brother."
"And he works with Hank Voight?"
"Uh-huh."
"Brown, know a Sergeant Hank Voight? Any chance you know his district?"
"Voight's district is the 21st. One of the most infamous sergeants. You're lucky you haven't come across him. I'll call it in." He picked up his radio. "Dispatch, patch me into the 21st."
"Copy."
"21st district. This is Sergeant Platt."
"Trudy!" you exclaimed. "I know her!"
"You know her?" You nodded. "Good!" Officer Brown said to you. Then, when he spoke again, it was into his radio. "Sergeant Platt, this is Officer Trevor Brown, badge number 1-3-5-7-8. I'm here with Y/N Halstead. She said her brother is Jay Halstead, badge number 5-1-1-6-3. We tried to call him but that number was disconnected. Do you have another number for him?"
"Halstead, huh? Let me talk to Y/N and then I'll give you the number."
The officer knew this wasn't protocol, but who was he to tell the desk sergeant no?
"She wants to talk to you, Y/N." Then, he bent down to allow you to talk into your radio.
"Trudy!" you exclaimed. "I was shoppin' with Will and Jay and- and then I thought Will left the store but then it wasn't him and- and then Jay Jay not answerin' and then I finded the off-cers like Jay Jay telled me and--"
"Hey, Y/N," she cut you off. "It's okay. You did really good telling the officers Jay's badge number. I'm gonna give him a call and he'll come to you, okay? I need to talk to the officers again now, alright? You did such a good job."
"Thank you, Trudy!"
"Sorry about that," Trudy apologized to Officer Brown a moment later. "We had a case where the criminals found some personal phone numbers and they had to be changed, which is why the number is disconnected. Tell me where you are in the mall and I'll give Halstead a call right away."
He told Trudy where exactly in the mall you were and then told you that she'd call him and your brother would be on your way.
***
"Trudy, I'm a little busy right now. Y/N's missing and we're at the mall looking for her and--"
"Halstead, she found two officers and she's in front of Williams and Soma."
"She-- You found her?"
"She found officers and said your badge number and everything. Williams and Soma, Halstead. Go there. And next time, keep an eye on her."
"I wasn't watching her, it was Will."
"Don't care who it is. Watch her next time."
Then, she hung up the phone and Jay almost fell over in relief.
"They found her, Hails." He quickly told her the store and what Trudy had told him and they started walking over there when she quickly stopped.
"I can't go over there, Jay. She doesn't know I'm here and then she'll ask questions."
"Shit," Jay muttered. "You do have a point."
"I know. I'm gonna go get the bike and helmet and I'll meet you at home. Love you, babe."
"Love you, too."
Then, Jay quickly called Will and told him where you were.
***
The minute Jay saw you, he sprinted over to you.
"Jay Jay!" you exclaimed and closed the distance between the two of you.
"Y/N! Hey, you're okay, hey." He was about to sink to his knees when he remembered protocol. "I have to show this nice officer my ID real quick, okay?"
"Y/N!"
"Will!
He picked you up as soon as he got to you and hugged you tight.
"I'm sorry!" you cried. "I thinked someone was you and it wasn't and then--"
"It's okay," Will quickly reassured. "You're safe and that's all that matters. Now, I need to show these officers my ID just like Jay Jay did really quick, okay?"
Then, he passed you over to Jay.
"I'm sorry, Jay Jay," you muttered as you buried your head in his chest.
"It's okay, kiddo. It's okay. You did so good by telling the officers my badge number. Now, what do you say we go look at the candy again?"
You gasped. "Will said he has Santa's phone number! And that's why we gotta go look at the candy! Do you know his number, too?"
"I sure do. And, after today, I am going to tell Santa that you are most definitely on the nice list."
You gasped. "Really?"
"Really."
"And, we are also going to work on you remembering my phone number and Jay's new one. But, that can wait until after Christmas I think," Will added.
You gasped again. "I'm getting presents there! Jay Jay, Will said he will forget, but will you?"
"Tell you what," Jay began, "me and you will look at the candy so I know what to tell Santa, and Will can grab the presents, sound good to you?"
"Uh-huh," you agreed.
Then, Jay set you down, thanked the officers again, and you three made your way to the candy and snacks store.
You and Jay made a beeline for the candy while Will talked with the salesgirl. He said they found you and thanked her for keeping an eye out.
And, well, if on Christmas morning you found all ten candies you picked out with Jay instead of the original 5-7 in your stocking like Will and Jay planned, well, it was just because your brothers told Santa that you were extra good and extra, extra brave this year.
A/N: Merry Christmas! I know this one was short, but I had an idea for this the other day and wanted to get it out! I hope you enjoyed it! Also, don't forget to reblog and comment!

Author's Note: AHHHH! I can't believe I'm releasing my first ever fic/headcannon/idk. This isn't the greatest, I kind of wrote it in a short time frame, BUT I hope you guys enjoy it! 🥹
You had been feeling sick for a few days now- massive headaches, exhaustion that left you wanting to nap every hour, and food aversions, especially to Hayden’s famous blueberry pie (which you used to love). So, like any normal woman whose sex life consisted of making love at like 5 times a week (mainly unprotected recently), you decided to order a few pregnancy tests on Amazon. You told Hayden right away because, let’s be honest, he was the practical one in this situation. He suggested ordering the tests online to avoid awkward run-ins with nosy neighbors or paparazzi. Living on a secluded farm had its perks, but shipping times weren’t one of them. It took a week for the tests to arrive, during which your suspicions grew stronger thanks to the morning sickness that hit you like clockwork every day. When the package finally arrived, he trudged through the fresh snow, retrieved it, and brought it straight to you. "Here you go, sweetheart," he said with a soft smile, though you could tell he was holding back his own nervous excitement. You grabbed a test and ran to the bathroom. Hayden paced outside the door, trying to play it cool but failing miserably. When the result showed positive, you walked out, teary-eyed and smiling, and showed him the test. His face lit up as he hugged you tightly, kissing your forehead. "We're having a baby," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. From that moment on, he was completely in dad mode.
================================================
Pregnancy brought out a whole new side of Hayden. He flat-out banned you from cooking. "You’re growing a whole human. The least I can do is handle dinner," he’d say, gently nudging you away from the kitchen. And it wasn’t just meals—Hayden insisted on taking over most of the chores, leaving you to rest and focus on the baby.
When it came to cravings, Hayden was an absolute champion. Wake up at 2 AM wanting cheese pizza and chocolate-covered pickles? No problem—he was on it without a second thought, even if it meant a midnight run into town. If you craved something else while he was already making dinner, he’d simply adjust. "Don't worry about it," he’d say, kissing your temple. "I’ll save this for later and make whatever you want."
================================================
Hayden quickly learned that pregnancy mood swings were no joke. One minute, you’d be laughing at something silly he said, and the next, you’d be crying because he was burnt to a fucking crisp in a movie he was in 20 years ago. One evening, you were in the kitchen crying over a broken cookie. “It was perfect,” you sniffled, holding up the two halves like they were shattered glass. Hayden walked in, took one look at the situation, and gently plucked the cookie from your hands.
“Sweetheart, it’s still going to taste the same,” he said softly, taking a bite and offering you the other half. You glared at him through your tears but took the piece anyway, pouting.
“It’s not about the cookie,” you mumbled, and he nodded, letting you vent about how everything felt overwhelming lately. He didn’t try to fix it; he just listened, rubbing soothing circles on your back until you calmed down.
Another time, you got unreasonably mad at him for finishing the last of the orange juice, even though he didn’t realize you wanted it. “You’re supposed to know these things!” you exclaimed, crossing your arms. Instead of arguing, Hayden raised his hands in surrender. “You’re right. I should’ve asked before drinking it. I’ll go get more right now.”
You felt guilty the moment the words left your mouth and tried to stop him, but Hayden just kissed your forehead. “It’s okay. I’ll be back in ten minutes,” he said, grabbing his coat. True to his word, he returned with not one but three cartons of orange juice. “Just in case,” he teased, earning a laugh from you despite yourself. Hayden also became an expert at reading your moods. If you seemed cranky, he’d quietly bring you a snack or run you a bath. If you were teary-eyed, he’d snuggle up with you on the couch and let you cry into his chest while he stroked your hair. He never made you feel bad for the rollercoaster of emotions—you were carrying his baby, after all.
“Your body’s doing something incredible,” he told you one night after a particularly emotional day. “I’ll take a few mood swings over what you’re going through any day.”
================================================As your pregnancy progressed and your body continued to change, it wasn’t always easy to feel confident. There were moments when you’d catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and struggle to recognize the reflection staring back. The swollen ankles, the stretch marks, the way your clothes no longer fit quite right—it all felt overwhelming at times.
One evening, after a long day, you stood in front of the bathroom mirror, examining the curve of your belly and the way your favorite dress stretched tightly across your body. Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as the insecurities crept in. Hayden found you like that, staring silently at your reflection, and he instantly knew something was wrong.
“Hey,” he said softly, stepping into the room. “What’s going on?”
You hesitated, trying to brush it off, but the lump in your throat made it hard to speak. Finally, you mumbled, “I just… I don’t feel like myself anymore. I feel huge and uncomfortable, and I don’t even look good in anything anymore.”
Hayden’s expression softened as he moved closer, wrapping his arms gently around you from behind. He rested his chin on your shoulder, looking at your reflection in the mirror with you. “Sweetheart, you’re growing our baby,” he said, his voice full of awe and love. “You’re doing something so amazing, and I wish you could see how beautiful you are to me.”
You sniffled, leaning into his embrace. “I don’t feel beautiful.”
He turned you around to face him, cupping your cheeks in his hands. “Then let me remind you,” he said firmly but lovingly. “I see the woman I fell in love with, the one who’s giving me the greatest gift I could ever imagine. Your body is changing because it’s creating a little life—a life we made together. That’s incredible.”
He kissed your forehead, then each cheek, and finally your lips, as if sealing his words with his touch. “I know it’s hard to see it right now, but you’re absolutely breathtaking to me. Every curve, every stretch mark, every little change—it’s all a part of this journey, and I wouldn’t change a single thing about you.”
His words melted some of your self-doubt, and you found yourself smiling softly. “You always know what to say,” you whispered, resting your hands on his chest.
“That’s because I mean every word,” he replied, pulling you closer. “And if you ever feel this way again, you just come to me, okay? I’ll remind you as many times as you need.”
That night, as you lay in bed, Hayden pulled you close, wrapping his arms protectively around you. His hand rested gently on your belly, where your baby was nestled safe and sound. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat against your back was calming, grounding you in his love and reassurance.
“I love you,” he murmured into your hair. “I love everything about you—your strength, your heart, your laugh, and yes, even the way you’ve been stealing my pillows lately.”
You couldn’t help but laugh softly, your insecurities slowly melting away in the warmth of his embrace. “It’s not stealing if I need them,” you teased, feeling lighter than you had in days.
“Fair point,” he chuckled. “Anything you need, you can have. Always.”
As he continued to hold you, Hayden started humming a soft melody—one you recognized as a song he often played on the piano. The sound wrapped around you like a blanket, soothing and full of love. You smiled, closing your eyes, feeling a tiny flutter from your belly as if the baby wanted to join in.
“See?” Hayden whispered, his voice filled with awe. “Even they know how amazing you are.”
Tears pricked at your eyes, but this time they weren’t from sadness. They were tears of gratitude, of love, of feeling completely cherished by the man who was not only your partner but your greatest source of strength.
In that moment, you realized something important: no matter how much your body changed, no matter how many ups and downs you faced during this journey, you had Hayden by your side—your anchor, your cheerleader, and the person who would always remind you just how much you were loved.
As sleep began to take over, you whispered back, “I love you, too. More than anything.”
And with that, surrounded by Hayden’s love and the gentle promise of the life you were building together, you drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the beautiful family waiting for you both just around the corner.
THE END
================================================OH MY GODDD AHHH YOU MADE IT TO THE END!

YO NESSA BBG I GOT A REQUEST FOR U
Could you do a oneshot/headcanon of Karasu, Hiori, and Otoya with a mute girlfriend/crush, like maybe they go out of their way to learn sign language for her?
(If there are certain characters you don't write for in this request, don't feel pressured to write for them <3)
-Vee
u want it ? u got it.
sorry it took me so long , i know i haven't written in sooo long it was really tough to gather my thoughts.
i sincerely appologize if my headcannon are not realistic in terms of uhh you know , being mute ? and i'll try my best and thank you for your time and remember that whatever you think flaws you makes you special<3
(This has been in my drafts for 3 months omg although it's so short...)
some blue lock boys w a mute reader
characters : Karasu Tabito , Hiori Yo , Otoya eita
@sl-vega what is it with you and these 3?
Karasu Tabito :
im not really that deep into his character but i think he'd be quite interested in learning sign language to show his dedication to you.
of course , it takes time and patience. And he's willing to have that for your sake , and so he can help you communicate with others , and you feel really flattered by it. he's taking online classes , he's watching videos about it.
it starts appearing on his fyp constantly and you'd see him trying out the word/sentence it'd be so cute.
i believe that during the process of his learning he'd give you a small notebook so you write your answers during you convo (duh) and he'd help you up with any activitey that needs talking.
He'd encourage you to share your ideas , whether w sign language or writing because he wants to make sure you feel like a normal person who is able to express themselves normally.
trying to order some food ? he memorises your favourites , with detail. someone messed your order (let's imagine you just pointed at the option and that he wasn't there) i feel like he'd be ready to throw hands.
"Excuse me she asked for NO PICKLES"
I think it'd be really lovely to see him make an effort into becoming your personal translator to have an excuse to be at your side at all time❤️❤️
Side plate : i think you'd watch him sometimes when he practices and you clap for him from the sidelines , and it boosts his ego and melts his heart. And if you know how to play you'd have some frequent football sessions togsther 🫶🫶
Hyori Yo :
Alright let's see , the cutie patootie (looks are decieving this mf is a sadist ahem) is quite attentive to your situation.
First of all he does NOT hesitate to start learning sign language , he has too much time to spare so he spends it trying to learn how to communicate with you , no matter the way.
So im picturing this , videocalling you to have some convos as he tells you about his day and asks you tell him back and he tries to understand as a form of practice.
And at the same time he voices out his stuggles about his learning process and shows you what he learned so far.💙💙🤏
I believe sometime he'd invite you over so he introduces you to football if you're interesyed in learning , telling you the rules , showing you some famous matches and players and events..etc
Or if you already know or a footballer you'd have some conversations about diffeent opinions in football so you get to express youself comfortably about a topic you enjoy.
Again , would encourage you (if comfy) to voice out your opinions and thoughts in any way to make sure you always feel heard.
Otoya Eita :
Well....i would say , at first , when you're not really close i don't think he'd pay any attention to it and he would be slightly irritated when you try to say something in sign language or by gesture and he doesn't understand (sorry if ooc)
He'd treat you like any other side girl he had , but slowly and over time , he'd grow interested in you and how you talk. If you guys grow closer , he would probably get out of his way to try and learn sign language for your sake and try to understand you a little further.
And let me tell you , it's one hell of a slow burn
