A Life We Can Have
Beorn x Reader
Warnings: injury
Summary: After an unlucky night where you were chased by Orcs, your life forever changes when a huge bear saves you.
You wake up with a sudden realization.
You had no idea where you were, or how you got there.
All you could recall from the night before was that a bunch of Orcs were after you as you ran through the woods.
With a bleeding leg and a possibly broken wrist, you tried to dodge their arrows.
You ran fast but they managed to catch up. One of their wolves bit your ankle, making you fall and let out a groan of pain.
You could recall the loud noises the orcs made, you remember crying and the pain in your ankle and wrist getting worse.
Then a giant bear came out of nowhere and killed them all.
Your last thought was that you would be the dinner for this bear. You weren't exactly sure what happened after that at all.
But somehow, you woke up in this rather nice and cosy house.
As you moved, you let out a groan, the pain in your body finally setting in. You ran for so long, your feet hurt. Your ankle hurt where the wolf bit you and your wrist hurt because you fell and injured it.
You looked around the house, but no one was there.
You thought a giant might have lived there, given how huge everything was.
You were only a simple human, but you were well aware of all creatures that lived on this Earth with you. But you had no clue what kind of a creature would live in such a house.
You slowly got off the bed and made your way over to the table where you found bread, so you took a little.
This is when you hear the noise of someone chopping wood.
Being mindful of your leg, you slowly walked out and this is when you saw him.
His back was to you, and you took a moment to take him in.
He was huge, he easily chopped the wood with his giant axe. His back was covered in scars and along his spine he had hair going down, it looked more like fur.
A very hairy man, but who were you to judge?
You heard stories of a beast living alone in the woods. He cared for the animals but he didn’t like company.
A fierce man, who was now chopping wood in front of you.
You weren’t sure if you should talk to him or not, one thing was for sure, you didn’t want to startle him.
“Umm.” you started but as soon as you did he turned around, with that huge axe in his hands.
“You should be resting, you hurt your leg very badly.”
“I-I did but… Am I at your house?”
“Yes.” he replied with a lot of annoyance in his voice and you nodded.
“So, you saved me last night from the bear? Thank you.”
“Go back to bed. I’ll prepare some tea once I finish chopping the wood.” you didn’t argue, why would you? Or rather how could you?
The man was huge but you saw him more as a gentle person, despite his rough edges.
And you also feared that instead of the wood, he would chop you in half.
You just slowly moved back into the house and sat on the chair by the huge table. Your leg did hurt and your wrist was throbbing a little, but your mind was still running at a hundred miles. You tried to recall what happened but couldn’t.
You knew you fainted, but then what happened to the bear? Did this man scare it away? Did he fight it?
He did look rather dangerous with his axe. Maybe he could take the bear in a fight.
Whoever this man was, he certainly lived alone, looking around his home it was cosy, but it didn’t have the touch of a female, clearly, he was a bachelor. Not that it was a problem, it was only an observation on your part.
You needed to think of other things because if you didn’t, the pain would hit you.
You heard him enter through the door as he soon headed for the stove. In complete silence, he started to make tea for you as you munched on the bread you took earlier.
He clearly didn’t have many visitors. You watched as he worked, trying your best to ignore the pain, you watched his hands work, you watched as a shackle was on his wrist, it must have been there for some time now.
He soon put a cup in front of you.
“Drink it and leave.”
“Uhm, but my ankle…” you were very much up playing the pain. It made the huge man in front of you groan.
“Alright, you can stay until you get better. I’m not too fond of visitors.”
Clearly. But he will have to deal with you because you don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. Especially not when there are Orcs in these woods and you have only one working leg.
Even if the pain wasn’t that bad, you still preferred the comfort of a home over the cold floors of the forest.
---
"What is this?" you asked him as you munched on the deliciousness in your hand.
"Honey cake."
"I really like it." you said. "Did you make it yourself?"
"I did."
"It's really really good."
He didn't reply, but you didn't expect him to.
Your leg and wrist felt much much better now. His herbs worked better than magic.
You also noticed that slowly, he warmed up to you. He even offered you his smaller room so you didn't have to sleep on the hay or floor.
He was a strange man.
Affectionate, yet he looked afraid of it.
You could see that deep down, he was a very warm person. However, the terrible things that happened to him, made him cold.
Winter was near.
So Beorn told you that you will need to help him with his farm and animals. You had no problem with that. Given that you grew up on a farm, and you loved to help.
And by the time the snow arrived, his home was ready for the harsh winter.
And so were you.
You made clothes for yourself and him. He didn't really want to take the clothing but now, he wore it every day. He said it was so warm, he enjoyed it.
It filled you with pride that he wore the clothes you made, he ate the food you prepared and he listened to you.
In return one evening, he told you a story, a story of his own, his terrible past and what he went through.
You cried that day, letting the tears fall as he reached over to wipe your tears away.
"Why are you crying?" he asked.
"My heart breaks for you. No one deserves that kind of torture." you said as you lifted your hand and touched the shackle on his wrist.
That day, Beorn promised himself he would never tell you another story of his.
He hated to see you cry.
He wanted to see you laugh, like you laughed when you played with his horses or bees.
How or when you became so important to him was a mystery to Beorn, but here he was now.
He sat in his chair as he watched you, you were making a blanket. You said his house was rather cold for you, so you needed something warm. He wanted to offer that he could sleep with you so you wouldn't be cold but he didn't want to cross that line.
He was sure you only viewed him as a friend and nothing more.
You often found yourself babbling and telling him stories. Stories he most likely would call nonsense.
But in truth, he loved listening to you talk. Every story he remembers and could recall at any moment.
One evening, after dinner, you just sat on the couch he made for you, you cuddled up with your blanket and a book when Beorn joined you. It was snowing heavily outside, so he wouldn't go out for his usual runs.
He sat down and you offered him a smile before you looked back at your book.
But out of the corner of your eye, you could see he was staring at you.
"Is there something on my face?" you asked but he shook his head, no.
He was behaving strangely. You tried your best to focus on your book but it was difficult.
"What are your plans once winter is over?" oh, he wanted you out of his hair.
"I-I-You don't have to worry, I'll leave as soon as I wouldn't freeze to death in the woods. I really appreciate your hospitality and I don't want to bother you longer than needed," you said but didn't look at him.
"It's no bother. I was asking only because then we could make you a bed."
"I have a bed." you looked at him, confused.
"You have a mattress, I was thinking of making a bedframe, so it is more comfortable."
"So you want me to stay?"
"Only if you want to."
"I would love to. I enjoy your land very much. The beautiful trees and the animals. I can only imagine what it must look like during the spring."
"Is my home the only thing you enjoy about being here?" you looked at his face as he avoided your eyes.
"What are you asking?" your voice was quiet, and he finally looked at you.
"I grew very fond of you, I never imagined myself in this situation, but... Love is not something I believe I deserve. I am a monster, my past is... awful. I do not deserve such a flower like you. But I also won't be able to let you go. Only if you reject my feelings- I want you to be happy here with me. But if you choose to leave, I won't force you to stay." his words honestly surprised you, you never expected him to confess to you.
"I would love to stay with you. I just wasn't sure of your feelings. You hide them very well."
"It is a skill I learned." you smiled at his comment.
He moved towards you and you moved with him, he pulled you into his arms and you never felt warmer.
It was quiet, you could hear his heartbeat and the fire crackle behind you.
"You deserve happiness as much as anyone." you said as he tightened his hold around you.
"Thank you." he whispered and he just held you for hours.
It was the first time in his life that someone touched him with care and affection for what felt like years.
And slowly, he started to believe he deserved this happiness.
---
Spring arrived with flowers.
As the snow melted and everything began to bloom, your love fully bloomed.
You looked at Beorn as he tended to the bees.
You followed him to his goats and helped him feed his horses.
A smile never once leaves your lips. And he is much the same.
Then you cooked lunch for both of you, he loved your cooking and you were happy to make him anything he wanted.
Given how fresh and amazing his crops were, it was easy to prepare something amazing.
Then after dinner, the two of you would go to sleep in his bed, him holding you close to his chest.
It was a simple life, but it was all you could hope for.
You often catch him smiling even if it's a small one.
You make him happy and he makes you happy.
This was the life you always wanted.
Although you never imagined you would have it with a man who can turn into a bear, you weren't complaining.
He was your bear.

hitting your writing goals
I've been getting a lot of asks lately about how I write, so I wanted to put it all in one post.
this was my writing history for Five Gifts for the Blacksmith's Wife.
it helps IMMENSELY when I go into a book with a Tumblr short to use as my outline. it gives me a sense of the mood, the characters, the central conflict, everything I need.
I rarely use outlines because most of the time, I have that base to work with. the other thing I do is WRITE A BLURB. write out what it would sound like if you were pitching someone your book.
here's the blurb for Five Gifts:
When her village faces a winter of starvation, Sita draws the shortest straw. Now she’s to be given to the orcs across the river in exchange for food and supplies so her family can survive. Given the chance to choose her own husband from among the eligible orc bachelors, she selects Gurrek, the reluctant blacksmith, who clearly doesn’t want her. He’s the safest option. Gurrek has always wanted a wife of his own, but not like this. Now he’s saddled with a human woman who needs new shoes, new clothes, and can’t even speak his language. He wants nothing to do with her, and yet her sweet, strong personality draws him in closer with every passing day. As Sita and Gurrek try to find a place to fit within each other’s lives, attraction begins to bloom between them. But Gurrek refuses to touch a woman who never wanted to be his in the first place. Can Sita break through the blacksmith’s high walls to become his true wife, mind, body, and soul?
boom! you know where it starts, what the central conflict is, and the question leading into the second half of the book. then I usually have a separate doc called "third act" where I work out what the climax and resolution will look like. this is sometimes when I'll write another little short to capture the tone and vibe of the climax.
okay so the writing part.
you can't wait for your muse to come to you. the more you wait, the less she visits. you have to go out there and chase that bitch down.
I show up almost every day to write. (I do take off days, usually to do admin or make videos.) I just eke out what words I can, even if it sucks ass. eventually, if you really just muscle it, let yourself get EXCITED about the characters and the story you want to tell, the words will start coming. but you can't do it if you don't show up.
I've also trained my brain in some very specific ways. making coffee is my "start" button. when I make coffee and sit down at the desk, I've trained my brain to say "okay writing time." I always make the coffee, then open the doc and write. no exceptions. it took a while to build the habit but now it's like pavlovian. sit down with coffee, write book. I've also adapted this to having a bubbly water or tea at night.
rolling the ball downhill
the goal is to get the ball rolling so the book starts writing itself. you know that feeling, the ZONE, where you know what's going to happen and it just streams out of you.
I use something I call the but-therefore method. stg learned it from a video by the South Park guys.
if you're reading your outline aloud to yourself and you say, "and then this happens," I often find myself running into that and being like "but what?"
every step in the outline should be a but or a therefore. the blacksmith wants a wife, but not this one (a human wife). therefore, he's mean to her because he wanted an orc wife. but, he finds himself growing fond of her because she tries so hard. therefore, he wants to court her. etc etc
this gets me out of all KINDS of pickles. when I run into a roadblock I just try to think of 1) what could get in the way of where they're headed or what they want, 2) what consequences it could have. good time to think about what your character's buttons are and what would push them.
setting goals
goals really help me push through when it's hard. I know it CAN be easy so it's like, how do I find the stream that I can get swept off in? you gotta hunt and hunt around for it sometimes and there are days when I never get into the zone.
I set a range for my daily goal, like 2500-5000. if I do 2500, that's fine, I can set it aside for the day. if I do 5000, keep pushing if I want but that's a good place to stop. I find that by 2000 words is when I know whether it's going to be a good writing day or a bad writing day. bad writing day, i can stop at 2500 and be happy. good writing day (especially toward the end of a book when the dominoes are falling over) I can get up to 8k, but I try not to do that anymore because it turns my brain to mush.
ok that's all for now I hope this was helpful :)

Orc (Modern)
Pig-like humanoids known for appearing in large hordes to unexpectedly attack settlements. Why they do this is strange. Orcs don’t need to do this for food or resources, as they are able to consume almost anything and don’t suffer from a lack of necessary resources in their homelands. Like pigs, orcs have litters of 8-10, but they have a very skewed sex ratio. For every 7 or 8 boys, there’s 1 girl. This creates a surplus of males vying for a limited number of females, especially since orcs cannot have multiple paternities. Ordinarily boars fight over mates with their tusks. This may be why orcs originally developed tusks, but such competition won't create a harmonious society. Orcs can't have a human-like community if all the guys are fighting each other. Instead we have the raiding system. Before an orc man can marry an orc woman, he has to present her with a battle prize, something which demonstrates his prowess in combat and ability to survive dangerous situations. The cooler the treasure, the more dangerous the battle, the better the chances of marriage. But the purpose of this dowry isn't to bring back treasure, it's to kill surplus orcs. The majority will die far away from home and reduce the pool of bachelors. Anyone who does come back demonstrates their ability to survive and thus passes on good, strong genes to the next generation. It's a win-win... unless you're one of the many orcs who dies. Older orcs tend to be somber, morose, battle-hardened, while young orcs are energetic and enthusiastic to prove themselves.
-Habitat: Habitat generalists.
-Slayer Tactics: When fighting a large number of opponents, let their own size become your weapon. Lure them into a narrow space where those in the back cannot fight without hurting their companions.

did not expect harunobu to be more fuckable than people in actual fantasy settings. I'm kinda curious as to how you make your metric for the fuckable in dunmesshi series.
the appearance ones are headcanon heavy (i mean everything is lol) kobolds get so little opinion bc we dont get much about them in canon. for the eastern archipelago it's like... using asian standard of beauty, but from the perspective of people who generally have only interacted with fellow asians and rarely see foreigners if ever.
the northern continent people have similar metric "westerners but they have never seen asian before" basically. western continent have been said to be heavily influenced by elven culture, so i used the waifish delicate beauty as their standard, same for the elves.
for dwarves the hairier the better and ofc but also they don't like thin bodies and don't find curvy ones all that attractive either. stacked like bricks is the way to go.
for half-foot and gnomes i imagine a lot of their tastes overlap for example being too tall (for their height) is kinda off-putting and big expressive ears are attractive but also with differences like how long fingers are attractive to half-foots but creepy looking for gnomes
the orcs loooooove them thick (sorry i can't think of anything else about them right now lmfao)
most importantly though "do these characters look like they came from a race they have racial tension with?"
but with different standard of beauty for each races what would be most appealing for all of them would be in terms of personality and stability.
are they friendly? are they not? would they be willing to learn cultures they're unfamiliar with? how do they react to those cultures? these reasons are why alphonse elric got higher rating than his brother. not saying edward is racist and bigoted, but he can be rather careless with his words.
for the stability it's both about incomes and relationship i guess? like i said before people who can contribute to society are considered high spec bachelors, be it a hunter that can help stock up meat for the winter or a researcher who help inventing medicine to prevent illnesses. and as for relationship we have seen about how being a workaholic who can't communicate his feelings work out for chilchuck lol
speaking of contributing to society an orc would appreciate a hunter more than a researcher and vice versa. the differences in societal value affect how attractive a character seems
these are also just a broad generalization that doesn't take personal preferences into accounts, just like how namari has been implied to find long legs attractive, which other dwarves make fun of her of

I don't think I've ever talked about the Orc Dream on tumblr which is criminal actually so:
I had a dream where I was the daughter of an orc chieftain. our clan lived in a big ass supermarket. my orcsona was big and tall and beefy and had a big axe and was essentially the orcish ideal and all the orc babes wanted my hand in marriage but I was like nah. I want none of you.
one day our clan goes to war. I don't know who was trying to usurp our supermarket but during the war we also got hit with a plague. big sad. many orc deaths on both sides. I am distressed as an orc princess bc now I have a duty to figure out wtf is going on and also cave in many enemy skulls with my big axe.
enter Anders and Fenris Dragonage who I find in the pasta aisle one day as I am recovering from my battle wounds. I see these two dudes who are both shorter and considerably less swole than me and I go immediate heart eyes. I tell Anders about our plague issues and he offers to help. take them both to my dad, who is like "really? these fuckin twinks?" but then Anders heals our whole clan of plague and Fenris manages to deck one of our orc warriors so orc dad is like "damn bitch, okay, I approve of them both" so I got two husbands who I could bench press, despite grumblings from all the other eligible orc bachelors and bachelorettes in the clan.
we win the supermarket war and live happily ever after.

I'm so confused why my brain is so stupid. Like I am struggling to get a bachelor's degree and I'm going to be 25 years old in 2 days. And then my brain goes to a 150% mod just to talk about video game lore. I have just retold my boyfriend the whole lore about Orcs relocating to Azeroth and like in all details within 3 hours. Non stop nerd narrative. I think sometimes like if I was actually interested in studying I could've achieved so much but I'm like fuck off im not studying your boring shit
And then it becomes a problem for 7 years of my life
#i have played warcraft for lil bit too much#like my whole life i have been playing this game#it was an addiction#idk if im happy or not the addiction has ended#because now im addicted to other things#and I'm not going to stop talking about it

There's no shame in being an adult-nerd
Listen, adulthood SUCKS. Every time I think of doing my taxes I have serious bouts of anxiety, not because of the money (I don't really have to pay much) but because of the sheer fear of "what if I do the online paperwork wrong and I get arrested for tax fraud?"
You're also supposed to know everything. I don't have much money so most of the house maintenance is up to myself. One day is plumbing, the next day the toilet seat needs fixing (and the screws are rusty and don't move!) and then yesterday I had to change a very complex type of lightbulb that including having to figure out how to connect cables, something I'd never done or learned about before.
Then I have to deal with the Health Service, with banks, learn about accounts, learn about the different types of microwaves so I am sure to get the right one, and all the paperworks for everything are ONLINE, and no one ever taught me this shit because it wasn't like that when my parents were doing that, so now I have to learn it (thanks school for NOTHING) and teach my now elderly mother. And it's so fucking difficult. Like it took us a month to figure out how to do a bureaucratic bs just to get some economical aid. Or to get my mum's elderly bus card, which is also online, another two weeks. And you can't speak with people any more! I have to deal with fucking bots EVERY-FUCKING-WHERE. And if you think you can just call or email someone and get all the help you need?! WRONG!!!
I've got a back problem. Things hurt. I'm tired all the time. I don't have the mental capacity to deal with the extreme BS that is adulthood. They sold it so nicely and it's CRAP. I'm on my way to get my second Bachelor Degree, for fuck's sakes, how is everything so hard? I'm academic! And thank God I at least have internet to google stuff. But even to sleep I need help. I have to meditate, to take meds... I am so fucking stressed always that OF COURSE I need assistance even TO SLEEP. And I'm under 40!
And then you know your high school bullies you thought you'd be free of? NOW THEY'RE YOUR LOCAL COPS, YOUR LOCAL POLITICIANS, YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSMEN AND BANKERS.
I don't have time or energy to try and find myself a partner. Let alone children, even though in my dream world, I've got them both. And a nice house with a pool.
And you kids who know NO FUCKING SHIT are going to try and BS me for what? For being a nerd?
Yes, I get fucking excited on nights that I can wear my Harry Potter pyjamas. Yes, when I'm alone, I enjoy singing movie songs and pretending I'm a hobbit with a blanket over my shoulders as a cape, fighting orcs. Yes, I have a good laugh with nerdy jokes. Yes, I get excited about nerdy shops full of stuff from Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings, Star Wars... SO WHAT.
Let me have the very few fucking things that bring me joy. Because hey, at least I eat well, I don't self harm, I don't commit suicide. I'm trying to stay alive and is a fucking hard job when you're an adult, so whatever you need to do to survive, whether that's nightly masturbation or playing movie soundtracks on repeat, or going to ComicCons on a bloody Dark Vader costume, go ahead. No shame. NO FUCKING SHAME.

Woooo, what a game!
So we found a bunch of vials of prismatic dragon blood, got chewed on by druids with owlbears, and there might have been some woodwoses or something, there was a big swathe of map I couldn’t see-
And then the BIG dragon woke up.
Fortunately, we managed to bullshit into killing the smaller for the elder, playing on some resentment we hadn’t realized was there, and despite a couple knock-downs and having to spend a plot point so my character didn’t fall into the lake of acid one of those times, we made it.
We waded back out into the swamp again. Glory spread himself out on the first bit of sufficiently dry ground, going ‘land, sweet land’ and watched a beautiful sunrise while we all caught our breath.
The dragonborn tossed back one of the nine vials of prismatic dragon blood and got some memories and a skill. After that we all trudged to the orc village, which had helped initially repel the dragon, and there was a *party* you’d best believe. Two of our number got married- we have two lovely orc ladies as trossfrau, and Glory managed to avoid getting married by saying he had someone waiting for him, but did manage to flirt his way into the beds of the bachelors (three ladies, three gents were available for the dictated peace weaving). Everyone woke up hungover. It was glorious.
The next dawn, off to see the anchorites. We still need their blessing to get the orcs to move. It’s there we get attacked by harpies, and hack our way through them to end up where we’re supposed to be- next time!

Ride the Cyclone Humans Are Space Orcs AU (Will reblog with sketches if I do make them)
Noel- Some kind of bird alien I think. Think of a songbird of a lyrebird maybe as a vague idea on what his design would be. Ties in with a desire to fit in maybe, but also lyrebirds are just cool asf
Mischa- May sound weird but like, a lion-y sort of thing, mixed with a sheep or something, like that Lion Lamb thing that is supposed to refer to the month of March but I’m Aussie so I’m just using it to exemplify the dual nature of Mischa. I know the dual nature refers to Ricky but he’s a sexy cat man from Zolar so
Ricky- The space age bachelor alien that is from Zolar and he is the only one where his species actually has a name because thank god for Richard Pott’s SABM story otherwise I would be lost
Ocean- I’d like to imagine that because of her name she has a sort of ocean/mermaid themed alien species. Maybe a concept similar to the Avatar 2 water tribes or something, where they have legs and shit but they’re adapted to a water based environment
Constance: Maybe some type of fairy of elf inspired alien. Species might be hospitable tricksters who like causing problems but are great hosts. Would cold be very grounded idk
Tammy Edwards: Biblical Angel inspired alien. Probably has a christian based religious beliefs too. IDK. Lots of eyes and wheels but she probably can shapeshift to look like whatever she wants
Penny & Ezra: Human. Abducted maybe.

33, 36, 52?
33. something you want to learn
I wanna learn a lot of things, but at the moment specifically I wanna learn a bit more about coding/programming. I have been very slowly trying to teach myself html+css so I can make a neocities page, but I'm umm-ing and aww-ing about whether I take an IT course to learn more.
36. 3 dreams you want to fulfill?
1 - publish an original work. Ideally I'd like a book published that I can put on my bookshelf, but I also wanna finish Abe and Orc and publish it as a webcomic somehow. Still looking into how I wanna go about that, but I'm still working on it while it's in the pre prod stage 😏
2 - have a film I've worked on have a run in cinemas. I'll take successful film festival entry, but how good would it be to have a new Aussie-made indie film hit cinemas across the country? Possibly internationally? Ideally I'd like to be the writer/director (or both!) but if there's something else I'm part of, like being AD or lead editor or whatever, I'll be super chuffed. To be real I'll be super chuffed even if I have a minor role in a major movie but the dream part of it is that I had a major part in shaping it haha
3 - direct a game that sells. I've been having so much fun and learning a lot about indie game dev the past couple of years while working on jams and such, and I've been co writing and art director as the highest roles for them, but I'd love to direct and write my own at some stage and have it be big enough that I can charge a few bucks or possibly put it on steam. Would love to move up a level in the scope of the games I'm part of, and would love to lead one myself
52. something i’m talented at
Breaking down or constructing narrative, which I'm super glad was refined while studying for my bachelor. (Can you tell I wish there were more film theory classes?)
I've always enjoyed doing this sort of thing when reviewing or critiquing things I love and things I don't, cause understanding and articulating WHY I think that is very fun for me. And it helps in the inverse too, when creating a narrative, I love to fill it with details and ideas to bring the world and characters to life - though often this means I'm going way out of scope LMAO. Still working on that aspect. But when creating narratives, I feel like I'm finally at a place where I can create the kind of ones I'll enjoy reading and writing, and can utilise my autistic pattern recognition to my advantage and arrange things in ways that make sense and feel good to me. And if I feel good about it, I can more confidently obscure the crazy amount of details and leave it as a nice breadcrumb trail for readers hehe

Husband is running a AD&D1e campaign. Meet Jupiter and Bram.
Jupiter is a chaotic neutral fighter-thief, dual-wielding bastard swords. ⚔️ she is very unhinged— a driving inspiration of her character is Azula in ATLA in the the very end, as well as Katharine in the three dark crowns series.
Jupiter is a twin, and her twin is in the campaign, as well, though she’s still getting fleshed out.
Bram is a bad boy baby girl punk character. He is a half orc fighter assassin (I like what I like, okay?). He is very hot but very unapproachable. Think the hot and damaged bachelor in a farming sim— grumpy and broody, but charming in his own right. Drawing a lot of inspo from Dean Winchester. He cuts gems and makes jewelry in his down time. He dual wields horseman’s flails.
Jupiter and Bram are def gonna date. 100%. There’s no way they won’t. Prepare for fanfic probs lol

Eeughh career wise I'm still not sure what I wanna do. I think I'd be an excellent therapist but I really love creating.
The most logical but somehow most arduous process seems to be becoming an art teacher, then work on my masters during that time. I just cannot stand being at my work for another year, I absolutely resent my coworkers and I know I shouldn't but ugh.... they're awful. I get to see a therapist today so hopefully that's all good lol. I also get to ask about my DID and hypersexuality and see what we can do.
I also got to smooch and cuddle so many people at Orc Wars, it was awesome!!! I'm so like, crushing hard on this one guy... I only met him a few times but he's been so sweet and kind. His fiance and her girlfriend are absolute angels to me, I think they're a wonderful throuple. I would love to be apart of it eheehh..... but back to the guy, ugh ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; I haven't crushed on anybody in a bit so it's like really strong!!! He looked at me so tenderly and went, "You're so adorable" and I just melted into nothing then. My friend did my make up and he's like "oh you look amazing", with his big gorgeous smile and oh... gosh... He just held onto me and we hugged for so long, aaaahhh x333333333
I got to get closer to a friend, Blue, and we kissed, she was so sweet to me. She did my make up and it was like, I just felt so intimate with her all weekend. It's so deep and powerful being connected to a woman. Lesbian relationships are just so deeply connecting, I feel like ascends the physical realm and mostly becomes mentally stimulating. It kind of explains why I find it hard to be like my usual sort of aggressive sexiness, it's more like oh heeeyyyyyy how're youuu~~~ kind of a thing lol lol. I used to worry I didn't have a connection to women because I didn't feel the same as I do with men, but now I've learned it's different and I just enjoy the closeness so much. It's like the whispers of your hearts touch one another and become whole together... 🥲💖💕
I am so sosososo proud of my boyfriend for passing his blade master Apprentice trial, he was really mentally struggling but he did it. I was so happy I was able to like, bring him back to camp, nurse him up and basically give him all the support I could and he ran with it. It's so awesome watching him fight. I can't wait to fight alongside him.
also I'm gonna nest here, I told him like hey... I'm nesting here now, I decided after this event.... he's like, ohhh are we... are you saying we're more serious?? 🥺💖💕💕💕💖💖 and he got all excited and snuggled in on me, he's so sweet to me. I'm really fortunate and grateful for him.
....
BUT ALSO
I'M TOO MUCH OF A FEMININE BEAUTIFUL FAIRY TO BE IN A BACHELOR PAD. AAAAH.
NEVER AGAIN DUDE.
REFUSAL.
I SWEAR OFF LIVING WITH MEN, EXCEPT IF I HAVE ANOTHER WOMAN. Which would be p cool.
I have a feeling as well I'd love to be with Blue more, I'm gonna try to spend more time with her.
Man, I never thought in a million years I could be apart of such a deep community and feel so at home. I still will always feel a Lil out of place but that's my own issues I'm working on. I just wanna be the best me I can be and live my best life, and right now, all I know is I just wanna escape my job and be in a better environment. I absolutely love my other coworkers but my kitchen coworkers drive me fucking insane.
I'll see what my new therapist says and I'll go from there. It'll be good. :3
also eeeeee *hides face* eeeeeeeeeee

For the WIPs Tag Game! Tell me more about Shadows cast by Light?
As you ask, so shall you reveive!
"Shadows cast by Light" will be about Elfwine the Fair.
Tolkien once started a new LOTR story, titled "The New Shadow", which was basically set in the early reign of Eldarion, Aragorn's son, about a century after the end of the Ring War. Tolkien described a Gondorian society that has fallen back under the shadow, that has a distorted view on the past. For example, Tolkien describes children playing at being Orcs.
In the story except he wrote and that was published, he details the meeting of a Gondorian guard and his ward (a boy he once caught stealing apples and engaging in Orc-play, and that he took under his wing rather than to simply punish him) in which it becomes clear that the ward has become friends with a more sinister crowd, renewing his Orc-play in a much more serious way. There is talk of "Orc-cults" and revolutionaries. The story was supposed to detail the uncovering of a conspiracy plot and hopefully to stop it in its tracks. For Tolkien, he didn't find this thriller idea interesting enough, or as he said it, "Not worth doing".
Well, I disagreed.
I changed a few things, of course.
I will set the story much, much earlier. Aragorn will still be king. Arwen, an Elven queen, has so far only given birth to girls - and no heir - so she is further alienated by the people of Gondor. Elfwine the Fair will come to Minas Tirith as a young man to be reared in the art of ruling by the king of kings himself. And it is here that he will uncvover this conspiracy and revolution - among other things.
Here is my teaser from my World Anvil page:
Long before Elfwine the Fair became the King of the Mark, the young Crown Prince ventured to Minas Tirith, the Greatest City of Men, to complete his training in the arts of ruling and leadership by learning from the King of Kings himself. But the many years of peace have been infested with shadows of boiling turmoil and people's angry cries for changes that could uproot the very seeds of peace, order and the kingdom itself. Now in the White City, Elfwine the Fair has to deal with the double standards of the high society, the burden of being the most eligible bachelor in town, and uncovering a secret conspiracy and revolution before it could threaten to destroy all their parents have worked for.
Well, there you go, @demonscantgothere!
